It's now Monday morning and I couldn't sleep last night. The idea of not knowing what would happen once I get back to school kept me awake.

So here I was at six in the morning making all kinds of breakfast foods for Ade and the girls.

Cooking just helps me calm my nerves. I already had waffles, pancakes ,eggs, bacon and some freshly squeezed orange juice.

I kept double checking my school bag to make sure that I had not forgotten anything.

"Good morning babe." Ade said giving me a peck.

"Hey"I said offering her a smile which she knew was forced

"Don't worry nothing's gonna happen I promise you."she said pulling me into her and rubbing the back of my neck. She knew that that calmed me down easily.

After our little moment we just sat down and started digging in later being joined by two hyper munchkins.

I then got dressed and dressed the kids for school before making our way to the bus stop.

After dropping the girls off at school I made my way to 'hell'. I was telling my self that I was ready but who was I kidding I wasn't ready for shit.

Getting into school I was shocked that not one person looked my way. Everyone seemed to be minding their own business.

The rest of the day went by like that and I was glad. It was now lunchtime and since Ade and I didn't have lunch at the same time I had to sit alone.

I made my way to the cafeteria and choose a table ant the far end. I wanted to make myself as invisible as I possibly could.

I then took out my packed lunch and began digging in. A few minutes into my lunch I heard the chair across from me being moved before somebody sat down.

"Hey"

That's when I looked up and saw the pretty girl from the other day. I didn't respond to her hoping that she would get the message and just leave me alone. But of course things never go my way.

She just sat there eating her lunch not at all bothered by my rudeness.

She then began to talk about everything and nothing. I just sat there pretending to be uninterested.

She talked about how she hated that her neighbor mows the lawn at six on a Saturday thus interupting her beauty sleep. About the camp she went to with her parents when she was six.

Damn this girl could talk and that kinda annoyed me. I mean I didn't ask her about all that information.

That's don't how the next two weeks went by. She would come sit on my table every lunchtime talking my head off.

That's until one the following Tuesday she didn't come to sit with me for lunch. I also hadn't seen her throughout the day and I know that since we do share some of the classes.

So when she did show up to school the next day I found myself asking her where she was and why she didn't show up for lunch the previous day. That was pretty uncharacteristic of me.

'Did you miss me that much''she asked with a teasing smirk on her pretty face.

I just rolled my eyes and remained quiet.

When she saw that I wasn't going to talk she went to tell me how she had to take her brother to the dentist.

The following days she would just try to engage into conversation with me and little by little I found myself warming up to her. I would answer a question or two making sure that I would not reveal too much about myself.

As crazy as this sounds I would say that we were somewhat 'Friends?' as she would like to call it.

Everything seemed to be going smoothly. I had sold some of my paintings for a pretty good price thus bills for the next few months were covered and the girls seemed to be settling in nicely.

I just hoped that things would remain that way but that was just wishful thinking.
