Agent B's point of view
I walked around carefully, looking for Michael and Calum. It was sun down now and I didn't know where they were because my phone had no signal and Ashton's phone was dead.
All I could do was walk around and look for them, whispering their names loud enough for them to hear but quiet to the point no one could hear me from far away. I didn't want to attract too much attention.
I heard cans tip over and crash against the floor and I looked over at them. A cat soon waltzed out and I scowled, debating on shooting the damn thing.
I walked around and then yawned a bit, a bit tired and exhausted. There was a dull ache in my calves from walking so much and my head was pounding for some reason.
I ran a hand through my hair and then stopped when I heard footsteps behind me. "If you're gonna kill me, then kill me. If you're gonna talk, then talk." I spoke and I clenched my jaw.
"You're not afraid to die?" I heard Ashton's voice and I turned around. I looked at him and then shook my head.
"Are you?"
"Well... yeah." He told me and I chuckled. I handed him his phone and he furrowed his eyebrows. "Where did you get this?" He asked me.
"Came looking for you, but walked into a trap." I said and he nodded. "Have you seen Calum and Michael?" I asked him and his eyes widened.
"What do you mean, have I seen them? Where are they?" He asked me, waving the gun around.
"If I knew where they were I wouldn't be asking you." I snapped and grabbed his wrist roughly. "You don't wave a gun around like that Irwin."
"Well jolly gee Agent, I wouldn't know that." He said and pushed me off of him. "Don't be so upset."
"It's common sense." I said and rolled my eyes. "Follow me." I told him and he laughed.
"Why? So you can just lose me like you lose my best friends?"
"If you don't shut up, I'm going to shove your own bandana in your mouth and tape it there." I growled and he rolled his eyes. "Follow me."
"No." He said and I rolled my eyes. "I'm not going to do it." He refused and I clenched my jaw as I looked at him.
"Do you want to die?"
"What's the difference between me and Luke huh?" He asked me and I looked at him. "What's the difference? Calum told me-"
"When did you talk to Calum? I thought you didn't know where he was?" I asked and his eyed widened. "Where is he? Where is Michael?"
"Answer my question, what's the difference between me and Luke? You let him go off and die but you can't let me?" He asked and I stayed quiet, knowing that if I told him, he wouldn't believe me.
"Are you gonna answer me Agent?" He asked and I turned away from him, my heart nearly pounding through my chest. "Well?"
"Nothing!" I snapped at him, making him shut up. "Nothing is different. If you want to go and die then be my guest. Tell your father I said hello." I said and then walked away from him. "You're just as extra as he was."
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me." I said and faced him as he whipped me around. "You can die and maybe people will be sad for awhile but they'll all get over it. You're not needed, you're loved, but not needed. There is a difference between love and between needed."
I felt the cold barrel of a gun underneath my chin and I glared at him. His own gaze wasn't too different, I could tell he was hurt, he was afraid, he was upset. He had every right to be because the truth hurts.
"If you're gonna shoot me, then shoot me." I said and chuckled. "That's not going to solve anything but my own problems. If I die, you're still targeted, your dad and Savanna are still dead, what's in it for you?"
"Mention my father once more and I'll pull this trigger. Unlike you, I actually have feelings-"
"And you think I don't?" I yelled, gripping the barrel of the gun in my fist. His question cut deep for some reason. "I have feelings Ashton, I can hurt, I can cry, I can care. Don't talk to me about feelings when I'm so numb with the damn things that I don't even know if I'm human anymore. I don't even know if I'm alive Ashton, alive."
He looked at me, his eyes glancing down at the gun. "I've been through hell and back and I've spilt more blood than the first World War. I've seen people die, I've caused people to die, I am the reason some people are dead. Don't ask me if I have feelings when I'm drowning in them, all of them; guilt, sadness, worry, all of it."
He gulped and I ripped the gun away from me. "You're not gonna shoot me. You're humanity wouldn't let you. Your brain is telling you that you can but you can't, your heart doesn't go that way, towards violence. Only point guns if you're going to shoot, if not, stay the hell away from them."
I turned around and walked away. "When you see the other two, tell them a team is going to be coming after you all. I quit." I said and then a gun was going off.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
"One more step," Ashton snapped at me. "One more step and I swear to god Agent B-"
"Tell your father I said hello." I said again and my phone buzzed in my back pocket, meaning I have signal where I was.
I stood still and pulled it out, immediately dialling a number to bring a helicopter. I held the phone to my ear and then turned around to look at Ashton.
We stared at each other and I eyed the gun at his side. "Hello?" Someone asked on the phone and I looked up.
"It's Agent B, I'm calling to request a helicopter being sent to my immediate location." I said and I gave him my identification I.D.
"Location found. Helicopter A1-28 is on the way, sit tight B." He said and I hung up. Suddenly, a bullet was going through my phone and I looked at Ashton.
His gun was still by his side.
"We have to go." I said and marched up to Ashton, grabbing his wrist.
"What th-"
"We have to go." I yelled at him and it took a bullet almost hitting his head to realize that I was right.
We ran away and I made him take me somewhere close to where Calum and Michael were, not the exact location. "What's going on?" He asked me, panting as we hid I side of an abandoned tea shop.
"They've found us because your dumb ass shot the gun." I said and he rolled his eyes as he jumped over the counter.
We ducked down behind the counter and I pulled out my own gun. I closed my eyes and then looked at Ashton. "Stay back." I growled and then stood up, looking directly out of the windows.
I saw a group of people, all lead by the one girl I saw. She smirked, obviously seeing me, and then stopped, causing them all to halt. "Surrender yourselves and no one will get hurt, Agent B."
"How do you know my name?" I yelled, hopping over the counter. "Who told you my name?"
"She wouldn't be pleased I'd I told you." The girl spoke, walking up to me. Her team stayed back, smart move considering if they all charged, I'd be forced to take action.
"I don't think you understand what surrender means." She said and I chuckled, shuffling my feet a bit before looking at her.
"I don't think you understand that surrender isn't in my vocabulary list." I said and suddenly, I was on the floor with her boot pressed against my stomach.
"It's not you that we want, it'd the boys. Although," she said and smirked a bit. "You are very attractive Agent B."
"It's take it as a compliment if I didn't feel like the shit under your boot." I growled and grabbed her ankle, yanking her on to the floor with me. "You're not touching those boys."
"Very well." She said and then whistled. I widened my eyes and hid behind her as a few people shot.
I threw her body at them and they all stared, seeing the result of their gunshots. I grabbed Ashton's shirt and forced him to hop the counter and run up the stairs inside of the coffee shop.
"Where are we going?" He asked me and I broke a window. "We're jumping out a window?"
"We're going to get Michael and Calum and we are leaving. A helicopter will be here soon. We have to go." I said and he nodded. "Out the window."
He looked down and then looked at me. "I can't." He said and a door was slamming open. "Agent-"
"Jump through the window you're not going to die." I yelled and shot outside the door, killing whoever was right behind it. "Ashton!"
"I can't!"
"I'll push you out of the fucking window then." I snapped and pushed him out of the broken window. I jumped out after him and landed on my feet on top of a garbage can.
"Fuck, that hurt." Ashton said and I forced him to get up. "My back hurts-"
"Where's Calum and Michael? Now Ashton." I yelled as we ran away from the coffee shop.
"The street over, inside of the only two story building there." He said and I nodded as we jumped a chainlink fence together.
We ran through a backyard and then hopped a wooden fence quickly. "This house?" I asked and he looked at it. He noddd and we ran in, busting the window open quickly.
"Michael!"
"Hide. I got this-"
"You have a flannel-"
"I'll choke them-"
"No you won't, what the fuck-"
"We're getting out of here." I said and grabbed Calum's hand. "I hope you guys can jump fences and jump out of windows."
"Hell yeah." Michael said and I chuckled. We ran out of the house, only to be met with a group of angry men.
"We have to get to that helicopter up there." I said and pointed to the one that was landing on a building, a tall building. "Run." I shouted and they al ran in front of me.
I took my gun and turned around, shooting at them as I ran backwards. I turned around and caught up to the three once I had shot enough of them down.
We hopped a few more fences before we were on the street of the buulding. I kicked the door down, and the glass around us shattered from bullets being shot at it.
"Don't even think about the elevator," I said as I busted the doors to the stairs opened. I shut them immediately, shoving a metal bar that I've picked up along the way between the handles.
I ran upstairs with the band and I took deep breaths. "How are we going to make it up there before it leaves?" Ashton yelled at me as we ran.
"The choppers wait thirty minutes before taking off. We have ten minutes." I said and Calum seemed to freeze.
"Ten minutes to go up a miles worth of stairs?" He asked and I looked at him. "I can't run a mile in under ten minutes-"
"You can, you've done it before Calum. Come on. We don't have time to waist." Ashton said and I looked at the brunet boy.
I grabbed his arm and then forced him to run up these stairs with us. "You're going yo keep moving no matter what. I'm not going to let you stand there and die."
Ashton scoffed and I could hear the door downstairs bust open. My heart pounded in my chest and I could hear my blood rushing. We weren't even half way up the building yet.
"I can't breathe-"
"I'll carry you then." Ashton said and picked Michael up, throwing him over his shoulder. I followed them up and pushed Calum ahead, pulling out my gun and attempting to shoot.
Loud clicks filled the stuffy room and I threw the gun. "Ashton, gun now." I said and Calum handed it to me since Ashton had his hands full.
I turned around and shot at the four or five people, taking two down before turning around and running up the stairs, reloading the gun as I did so.
"It's locked!" Calum panicked loudly and I shot the lock, kicking the door open. "That's one way to-"
"Go go go!" I yelled since the helicopter was just in front of us. Ashton put Michael down and we ran to the helicopter.
I helped them get on first and before I could get on, I was being yanked down. The helicopter lifted up and I elbowed the man in the side.
I took his arm and twisted it behind his back, kicking him towards the side of the building. I aimed my gun and then shot one of them in the head before grabbing the others arms and swinging him towards the edge of the building aswell.
"Agent B come on!"
"She's not on! She's not on!"
"Stop! Stop this thing! Agent!"
