You're Definitely Something Elara Jane

A sigh of frustration slipped past Elara's lips as she slashed her purple light-saber in the air practicing a technique that Master Skywalker has taught her. She was having slight difficulty with a fighting tactic and she couldn't help but feel as if something wasn't right with her movements. She let out a scream of frustration and anger as she tossed her light-saber to the ground. She paused and inhaled slowing her breathing and attempting to relax, the ways of the Jedi were not anger she just needed to be patient.
Sitting down after picking up her light-saber Elara let out a few slow breathes in an attempt to clam herself. She could clearly remember Master Skywalker showing her the movements and how to execute with agility and precision.
Yet despite her clear memory she couldn't figure out what she was missing from the tactic. Her breathing finally had settled and she was at peace after spending a few minutes meditating and attempting to figure out the missing piece to the puzzle.
Elara rose to her feet grabbing, her lightsaber in hand, she was determined to master this move before her afternoon meditation at the temple of the Jedi. She pressed the button watching as the purple beam extended allowing her light-saber to be shown.
With an inhale of breathe she began to swing her weapon around spinning and stepping with rhythm yet like the times before she got out of step and tripped not completing the final move of the tactic.
This time instead of screaming or sighing she inhaled slowly and began again. This time she slowed down. She moved her light-saber with more control as she slashed at the air. She spun around acting as though she was slashing down those who were attempting to hurt her or her fellow padawans. She spun on her heel slashing the lightsaber up and then down almost in a circular movement before quickly turning back around only for her lightsaber to come in contact with another.
Her gaze immediately flew up to face none other than Ben Solo. She let out a grunt of frustration as she gazed at him, "What do you need Ben? Can't you tell that I am training?" Ben simply smirked at the brunette as he swung his lightsaber almost hitting Elara yet she reacted quickly blocking his move.
"I can see that yet I can also see that your failing at whatever your attempting. So I am helping you train." Ben replied as if it was the most simple thing in the world. Elara grunted slightly as they continued to block each others strikes.
"Helping me? I am pretty sure you are just getting rid of some pent up anger that you are holding inside. We aren't supposed to fight with anger Ben." Elara commented with a snarky tone. She was quite frustrated to begin with and hearing Ben comment on her failure wasn't quite helping her at the moment.
"I am aware of the ways of the Jedi. Now concentrate." He grunted out his eyes looking with her for a moment before returning to their fight.
Elara didn't speak after that. Her eyes and attention were on trying to beat Ben and prove him wrong. He was swift and smart yet she had an advantage when it came to patience.
She could calculate his moves and predict his patterns. He had a more aggressive approach yet would also be more patient at times. He mixed up his moves and he didn't repeat the same moves more than twice.
This forced Elara to do the same. She thought quickly and eventually figured out one thing, he had a blind spot and a weak spot. He was slower at moving his left side than his right and he wasn't the best at defending himself from leg attacks. Elara was patient she blocked herself from a strike as Ben spun around her attempting to hit her left side.
She quickly maneuvered herself to be facing him yet while she turned she swiped towards his legs. He was slower yet still jumped out of the way right in time. Their breathes were coming out in pants yet neither slowed. They spun around each other and it was almost like a dance. Ben would make a few strikes causing Elara to walk backwards and then Elara would strike causing Ben to walk backwards. Then they would spin and strike trying to hit one another.
Elara was waiting, waiting for the perfect moment to exploit his weakness. She smirked slightly as she almost his him causing him to stumble back slightly yet quickly regain his balance. He went to strike above her yet she deflected his hit yet wasn't strong enough to push him away. So she spun to the left allowing his light-saber to slash through what would've been her body. Taking the moment where he was slightly dazed she quickly kicked his left leg making him fall onto his back.
Elara quickly knocked his lightsaber away from him and to the side of the room where is landed. He looked up at her in a state of shock amazed at what had just happened. Their eyes meet and Elara smirked slightly at the boy on the floor.
"I could've killed you." Ben muttered lightly looking up at her as Elara pointed her lightsaber down at him.
She pushed the small button which sucked the purple beam back into its holder. She reached out her hand and helped Ben to stand once more.
"But you didn't." She replied softly with a slight smile. Ben chuckled lightly shaking his head yet managed to smirk.
He ran a hand through his dark hair shaking his head. "You are definitely something Elara Jane."
Elara felt a slight blush rise yet she chuckled. "The same goes for you Ben Solo." With that Elara spun on her heel walking out of the training room and to tell Master Skywalker she figured out how to complete the tactic successfully.
