Thirteen-year-old Hoseok takes a deep breath before buttoning his black shirt and letting it fall on the boat, leaving him only with his trouser.

He stared at the water beneath the boat and sighed.

'Let's do this.'

He jumps from the boat and gets into the deep water, he then tries to get himself back to the surface of the water but no matter what he did is useless.

he moves his arms and legs but still can't get himself to the surface, he screams for help because he couldn't hold his breath any longer but that only makes the water get into his lungs.

'help.'

He feels his lungs burn when the salty water entered his lungs, he desperately tries to push himself out of the water but his movement only sinks him r into the darkness of the lake.

He's starting to regret coming here, he should've not sneaked out from the Palace just to learn how to swim. He should've ignored those negative words from his aunt.

"Really? You're already thirteen but you still can't swim? What a pathetic loser."

He knew he shouldn't let that words get into his head or his heart, but his ego is screaming to prove her wrong.

before Hoseok lost his consciousness he sees a tiny figure of a girl swimming over to him and cupped his cheeks, despite the darkness in the water he can still see her beautiful face that glows under the moonlight, her face showing concern, the last thing he knows was the girl's arms wrapped around his waist before he felt his body being pull from the water and after that everything went black.

"no, no, no, no, no." Y/n curse under her breath as she pulls the wet, unconscious boy and drops him on the ground.

"Is he an Idiot?!" she put her index finger under his nose to feel if he is still breathing or not, he is but his breath is so slow meaning his life is on the edge, she then start to do a CPR that mother had taught her on him so she could get the water out from his lungs, but the water still not coming out.

Y/n is starting to get frustrated, she doesn't want to see this person die because she couldn't save him.

She doesn't have any choice but to give him artificial respiration so she takes a deep breath and seal her mouth around the boy's mouth and pinch his nostrils closed, she then blows slowly into his mouth for two seconds and she moves her mouth away and releases his nostrils to allow the air to escape, his body jerked a the water starts coming out from his mouth, his eyes shot open and he quickly sits up coughing the water out of his mouth while she parts his back.

Once he's done coughing she cupped his cheeks and make him look at her.

"Hey! please don't do that again, whatever your problem is please don't solve them w-with t-that you can do this! I promise! you're worth so much please please please don't do that again, you're stronger than you think! trust me! t-try to talk your problems to someone who you could trust! please there's a lot of people that love you p-" his palms cupping her lips, sealing her mouth shut and cutting off her speech.

"What are you talking about? I'm just trying to learn how to swim."

The girl sits there dumbfounded but then she throws his hand off her and slapped his head.

"Ow!"

"Are you stupid?!

Hoseok widens his eyes no one has ever dared to talk to him like that because of his title.

"Yah! don't you know who I a-"

"I don't care who you are! you almost gave me a heart attack, and how stupid are you not bringing a company to look out for you! what if I wasn't there?!"

"I-"

"If you want to learn how to swim then don't do it in the middle of a deep lake! you dumb shit!"

She was fuming with anger but then he notices the boy looks so scared so she calms herself down and pulls out 2 towels from her bag that she throws on the ground along with her red cloak before saving the boy.

"Here, dry yourself." she hands him one of the towels, he takes it and dries himself while she starts drying his hair with the other towel.

while she's focusing on drying his hair he began to examine her face as her (e/c) eyes focus on his hair.

He is wondering who's this girl is, not only did she just smack him but she also called him inappropriate names, but he let that slip because she saved his life.

His eyes travel down from her eyes, to her nose, and her lips, she looks like she was carved by God himself, everything about her features looks so perfect and not a single imperfection is there.

"Beautiful." Hoseok accidentally blurted out.

"What?"

Hoseok realized what he said and clears his throat "N-nothing."

Once she's done drying his hair she takes out another towel from her bag and dries herself, she then notices the boy is shivering so she grabs her cloak from the ground and drapes it over him to cover him from the chilly air.

Hoseok looks up at the girl who's only wearing a cheap wet white medium dress, his eyes immediately show concern and he asks.

"How about you? you must be cold too."

She shakes her head, in the forest where she lives along with her mother and the creatures are much colder than here, so the weather here is nothing for her.

"Thank you for saving me," Hoseok mumbled.

"Your welcome, but please be careful next time."

He nods "What's your n-" he was about to ask what her name is but he got interrupted by a masculine voice screaming his name.

"Prince Hoseok!"

Not long after that, the two hear the sound of horses' footsteps along with many voices shouting his name.

Y/n suddenly remember that she had to go home before her mother gets worried, so she quickly packs her things and ran away from there.

"Wait!" Hoseok was about to go after her but she's so fast and is already far from him.

"There he is!" A guard spotted the Prince they were looking for, Hoseok is still looking in the direction where his savior ran to and didn't notice the guards are coming to him.

"There you are my Prince! what are you doing in here? we're worried about you." the head guard said.

"Let's go." Without saying any further, Hoseok hops onto the head guard's horse and avoids his question, the head guard sighs and signals the guards to head back to Jeon's Palace.

'I will find you, Little mermaid.'

Bonus

"Now where is your cloak hm? and why are you wet?" Mother Miranda asked her daughter.

"hehe, you see I was just walking but then I see a dragon egg so I took it but then its mom show up and attack me with her stinky fire breath, so I give her, her egg back and jump into the water and then I met a huge fish trying to swall-Ouch!"

Mother Miranda had enough with her daughter's bullshit so she pinches her daughter's ear and drags her inside her cabin.
