Chapter 22

"I pick my poison and it's you"

Jin hears the sound of birds chirping entering his ears as he slowly opened his eyes and he is met by the ethereal sight in front of him, Y/n.

He slowly untangled his hands from Y/n's body and sit up from his sleeping position, he looks up at the cloudy morning sky and the hair on his arms stood up after a cold breeze went past him.

"Seems like it's going to rain soon" he stretched his body before looking back at Y/n's sleeping form, his lips stretched up into a dreamy smile as he watch her snoring softly.

"My, my, you look even more beautiful when you sleep"

Jin carefully scoops her body into his arms so she doesn't wake up and carry her bridal style before walking into the palace, Jin looks at the grandfather clock and it shows 5.12 in the morning.

The people in the palace are all still asleep so the palace is still quiet, except for the workers who decide to come early for their work witnesses King Jin carrying a low servant in his arms, their tongues are itching and ready to spread the hot news around the Kingdom, but with only one glare that Jin sent them, they knew that it's best to keep their mouth shut if they don't want to lose their dear life.

As Jin is on his way to his room with Y/n, he comes across Yoongi who is looking extremely angry and they make eye contact, Yoongi walks faster to Jin after he saw him carrying his Kitten.

"How dare you took her while I was sleeping?!" Yoongi kept his voice low as he also didn't want to accidentally wake Y/n from her peaceful sleep.

"No, I met her in the kitchen at about two am this day" Jin calmly answered with a blank expression which is the opposite of Yoongi's facial expression.

"Then why didn't she comes back to my room?? Why is she with you?!" Yoongi hissed, he then looks down at Y/n and notices a purple bump on her forehead, his eyes snap back at Jin's and he is ten times angrier now.

Yoongi's pale index finger points at the purple bump on Y/n's forehead "Explain or I'll slit your throat"

Jin chuckled finding his statement funny "She got drunk and decide to wander around the palace and she accidentally hit her forehead against the pillar, the end"

"You made her drunk?!"

"It wasn't my fault she got drunk, she's the one who asked for more wine," Jin said with a smug look on his face.

Yoongi rolled his eyes "Whatever, just bring her into my room"

"Nope, I'm taking her to mine since it's closer" Jin step aside to continue walking but Yoongi blocks him.

"You should've burned that blonde's body instead of hanging it on the chandelier and using it as an accessory, poor Y/n got traumatized"

"I just thought this palace needs more decoration, so I donate some" Jin stepped side again and continue walking to his room and this time Yoongi didn't stop him.

Her eyes fluttered open when the sun rays get through from the window and hit her face, she didn't have time to process everything when suddenly she felt pain in her head and also on her forehead.

"Argh..." She slowly sit up from her sleeping position on the soft mattress and grabbed her head.

"Morning darling" Y/n feels soft slender fingers gently massaging her scalp and the pain in her head suddenly disappeared like a mist, she looks up and makes eye contact with none other than Kim Taehyung.

"Tae...what happened?" Y/n's morning voice smoothly pours out of her mouth like soft feathers, instead of answering her question Taehyung just kept admiring Y/n's morning face like it's his first time even though he had already seen her waking up numerous times.

"You have to ask Jin for the details, but what happen was you were drunk, you don't remember?" The memories from last night rushed into her mind and she now remembers what happened, not only that she embarrasses herself in front of Jin but she also have to apologize for bothering Jin.

"I remember now..."

"Tsk. Look at how ugly that bump is on your forehead" Taehyung poked the bump with his index finger, Y/n waited for the pain but it never comes instead, she feels a tingling sensation on her forehead and when she touch her forehead the bump is gone.

"You...heal me?"

"Duh."

"But why waste your powers? It's just a bump it'll soon disappear"

"I don't want to hear that, what I want is to hear you say the words 'thank you' "

"Thank you" she then falls back on the bed after she said that.

"You're going back to sleep?" Taehyung asks as he sits on the bed beside her.

"Duh." Not long after she said that Taehyung hear soft snores coming out from her mouth and he smiled before putting his palm on her forehead.

"Sweet dreams darling"

It's been two hours and Taehyung had been staring at Y/n the whole time as she is sleeping, he just can't look away from her face.

Taehyung had put something in Jin's morning coffee and he hasn't come out of his bathroom until now, Taehyung is glad that no one disturb him and Y/n.

But of course, the peace never lasts long.

Hoseok barged into the room and starts jumping on the bed startling Taehyung.

"What are you doing you freak?!" Taehyung hissed.

"I should be the one who's asking you that, why are you watching her sleeping?" Hoseok said as he continues jumping on the mattress.

"Y/N WAKE UP!!" Hoseok screamed at the top of his lungs that startled Taehyung and Jin who is in the bathroom.

"OI! WHY ARE YOU IN MY ROOM HOSEOK?!" Jin shouts from the bathroom.

"I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE, TAEHYUNG IS HERE TOO" Hoseok shouts back, Taehyung is getting frustrated when he sees Y/n scrunching her brows.

"GET THE FUCK OUT"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP JIN WE'RE NOT EVEN IN THE BATHROOM!" Taehyung shouted back.

"THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT-" Taehyung whipped his head to Y/n when he heard a small sound coming out from her mouth, he quickly caresses her hair and starts singing a lullaby to lull her back to sleep.

But that didn't help, Hoseok kept jumping on the mattress and Jin kept shouting for them to get out of his room, she eventually opens her eyes and sit up.

"Morning sunshine!" Hoseok stopped jumping and sit beside Y/n.

"It's afternoon dumbass" Taehyung rolled his eyes and crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"I slept that long?"

"Yep." Both Hoseok and Taehyung answered.

"Huh......SHOOT! I'M LATE FOR WORK!" Y/n quickly jump out of bed but before she can run out of the room Hoseok held her wrist to stop her.

"Calm down Y/n, I already tell Marilyn that you're going to have a day off, so you don't have to work today!"

"B-but I just started my first day yesterday! I can't take a day off!"

"You can cause you're going to spend the day with me" Hoseok announced with his heart-shaped smile.

"WHAT?!" Both Jin and Taehyung shout at the same time.

"Wait you can't!- I already- planned-" Jin paused every time he's trying to say something.

"Umm...Jin? Are you okay there?" Y/n asks.

"Yup! Totally! One hundred percent brilliant!"

That didn't convince Y/n so she walks closer to the bathroom door "Are you sure?..."

"YEP! you can go with Hoseok, HAVE A GREAT DAY!"

Y/n is still wasn't sure what's going on with Jin in the bathroom and when she is about to say something Hoseok grabs her shoulder and guides her out of the room.

"No need to worry, Jin just got a little problem there"

"KIM TAEHYUNG! WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU PUT IN MY MORNING COFFEE?!" Jin shouts as soon as he heard Y/n and Hoseok leave the room.

"The moral of the story is to always check what's on your drink before you drink it Jin," Taehyung said and get out of Jin's room.

Hoseok leads Y/n to the balcony to have lunch with him and the view is incredible, Y/n can see the perfect view of the clear lake water and clouded mountains.

"Wow...it's like I'm in Switzerland," Y/n said as she admires the view.

"We should have breakfast here someday, the morning view is more beautiful and you can see the sunrise" Hoseok pull out a chair for Y/n, Y/n sits on the chair and thanked him.

After Hoseok takes a seat across from her the maids start putting different kinds of foods on the table, they continued their conversation on the way here as they eat their lunch.

"So why did you tell Marilyn to get me a day off?" Y/n asks after she finished her juice.

"Remember you promised next time that you'll come with me for a hunt?"

"Yea?"

"Well I decided to go for a hunt today and you must come with me" Hoseok stood up from his seat and offered his hand for Y/n to take.

"But I didn't bring any clothes," Y/n said as she take Hoseok's hand and stood up.

"Don't worry I already pick your outfit for today" Hoseok then lead her to his room and when they step in Y/n sees a set of clothes on his bed.

"Your outfit is on the bed and the bathroom is in there" Hoseok pointed at the bathroom door in the corner of the room.

"Thank you" Y/n take the clothes and went into the bathroom, the set consist of a simple white blouse, a black leather vest, black leather trousers, a pair of socks, a pair of leather gloves, and a pair of black boots.

After Y/n styled her hair into a high ponytail she step out of the bathroom and sees Hoseok standing in front of the window, waiting for her.

"Ah, it suits you" Hoseok went up to her and look at her up and down.

"Let's go" he secretly licked his lips and he watch her walk to the door as they both leave the room.

"You'll be riding Maria for today" they walk into the horse stable and Hoseok introduces her to the unfamiliar brown horse.

"I didn't see her here yesterday"

"She just come here this morning, she's one of my favorites horses"

Two butlers came and one of them have bows in his hands while the other one have two quivers of arrows and they politely hand them to the two.

"What am I supposed to do with these? I thought I'm just going to accompany you"

"That won't be fun and don't worry I'll teach you how to hunt with these"

The two walk out of the stables with the two horses, Hela and Maria.

"Do you need help getting on Maria?" Y/n replied by shaking her head as a 'no', she carefully sits on Maria and rubbed her back with her gloved hands.

The horses start to walk slowly after Y/n and Hoseok command them, Y/n then notices two guards are following behind them.

"They're coming with us?"

"Yes, just in case if anything happens"

"Like what?"

"Like when we got surrounded by enemies and we have to sacrifice one of them" Hoseok smiles as he let the words out like it was a joke, Y/n clears her throat and tries to change the topic.

'Dafuq?'

"So...how long is it to take to get to the nearest forest?" Y/n ignored her thoughts and act like she just didn't hear that.

"Maybe ten minutes from now"

They continue to talk and ten minutes later they are already stepping inside the forest.

"Do you have a pet? Or a horse perhaps?"

"I have a horse, her name is Shela"

"Her name is quite similar to Hela, you should bring her along next time we go hunting again"

'Shit, I should've had just said that I don't have either of them'

"Umm...I don't know...she's super shy"

Hoseok suddenly stopped his horse and look up, which made Y/n stop her horse too and look up to see what Hoseok's looking at.

"You see that bird over there Y/n?" Y/n look in the direction Hoseok is pointing at and indeed she sees a bird resting on a tree.

"Yeah"

"I want you to kill it."

Her head swiftly turned to Hoseok as if he just said the sky is green.

"Pardon?"

"For your first hunt, I want you to kill it." Hoseok could feel Y/n is scared and hesitant so he continues.

"It's okay love, it's just a bird"

"But..." Y/n bites her lower lip out of nervousness as she looks down at the bow in her hand.

'Don't do that' Hoseok thought as he stare at her pink luscious lips, Y/n sighed and hesitantly take one arrow from her quiver with her shaking hands, it almost took her five minutes just to get the arrow in the bow.

Hoseok chuckled "Let me teach you" he then gets off of his horse and jumped on Maria's back and sat behind Y/n, he place his hands on her to guide her.

Y/n got more nervous when she felt Hoseok's chest pressed against her back, cold sweats starts to drip down her forehead and she gulps the saliva in her mouth down her throat, Y/n prays that Hoseok can't see her burning cheeks.

"Start with your arrow, the arrow has a little space in between the end, clip that right onto the bowstring" Hoseok looks over her shoulder as he explains.

"Once it's there, put one finger above the arrow and two below" It was hard for Y/n to focus when his hot breath fanning her nape, he purposely leans his face closer to her neck cause he know he make her nervous.

"Bring your arms up together, now you're gonna drive your hand back..." His one hand slides down to her underarm while his other hand is placed under her elbow, he guides her arms up in the direction of the bird who doesn't know it's going to die soon.

"And release."

Y/n released her grip on the arrow and the arrow went straight at the bird's chest and the innocent bird falls on the ground, dead.

"You did it! Congratulation!" Hoseok wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her temple, a part of Y/n felt proud but her other part felt pity towards the dead bird.

But that didn't stop her lips formed into a wide smile.

"I did it! Thank you Hoseok!!" Hoseok watch as Y/n smiled and cheered for herself, that smile on her lips is enough to bring delight to Hoseok's day.

'Fuck you and your plans Kim Namjoon'

Hoseok knew Namjoon was lying from the moment he suggest sharing Y/n among the seven of them, Hoseok knew that he just using him and the others to destroy the forbidden forest cause he can't destroy it alone.

He knew him ever since they were kids. Hoseok knew which card Namjoon would pull next, and which chess piece he would move next.

Namjoon's suggestion on sharing Y/n was not a deal in the very first place, it was a hidden message that a war is coming soon.

But they all still agreed because they want to use each other to defeat those who are protecting Y/n from them.

And at the end of the day, they're going to betray each other and reveal their true cards.

"Your welcome love" Hoseok pat her head and go back on his horse.

"Let's go!" Maria starts to run after Y/n commands her, leaving Hoseok alone with Hela and the two guards behind.

"Y/n wait!" Hoseok then commands Hela to run after them, a smile is visible on his heart-shaped lips.

They continue to go deeper into the forest, raindrops start pouring above them but they didn't care and continue hunting until it is evening and the sun is about to go down.

Y/n sees something red hiding behind the green leaves of a tree, she thought it was another bird so she point her arrow in the bird's direction and release it.

Y/n was distracted when Maria starts making noises so she look down at the brown horse and didn't see the bird fall into the bushes.

Hoseok comes beside her "What did you arrowed?"

"A bird. Maria had been making noises I think she wants to go back" Y/n rubbed Maria's back to calm her down.

Hoseok hummed "Let's go back, but where is the bird that you arrowed?"

"I think it falls into the bushes, wait here-"

"I'll get it, I'm afraid you'll fall into the puddles since the ground is slippery"

"Yah, I'm not that clumsy" Y/n's plump lips formed into a tiny pout.

Hoseok laughed and get down from Hela then he starts to walk behind the bushes after he got there he stood for a solid five minutes while staring at the ground.

"Hoseok? Everything okay there?"

His smile is back again when he makes eye contact with his bundle of joy.

"Yeah! And Y/n you can go first"

"Hm? Why?" She tilts her head as she is confused as to why Hoseok suddenly tells her to go back to the Palace alone without him.

"I want to stay here for a bit more time, go back to the Palace before it gets completely dark and before Maria gets more grumpy!"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, don't worry about me, and you" Hoseok points at one of the guards behind her.

"Go back to the Palace with her, and you" Hoseok looks at the other guard with his glare that is sharp as daggers and can cut his soul into parts as he points at him.

"Come with me." Hoseok's voice was calm yet stern, enough to make the guard almost piss himself.

"Y-yes, My K-king..."

The rain is pouring hard above the dark sky, most of the people would stay in their homes to protect themselves from the rain but Hoseok is busy dragging the redhead's body by her hair as he walks closer to the cliff with his cowardly guard.

The guard is shaking so bad as he follows his King, he knew what's going to happen next.

Hoseok tossed the dead redhead from the cliff without care and stare as he sees her skull shattered when her body hit the ground and her blood splattered everywhere on the ground.

"Didn't I tell you to burn her body yesterday?" Hoseok asks the guard behind him without turning around.

"I-it turns o-out she's still a-alive after y-you t-torture her Your Majesty... A-and she ran a-away but I guess she d-died f-from b-blood loss"

"Then why didn't you tell me?" Hoseok turns around and finally stares at the shaking guard, the guard stutter as he tries to find his voice.

"I-I'm so-sorry Y-Your Ma-" The guard can't complete his apology when he felt Hoseok's arrow stabbing into his throat.

"Y-your Majesty..." The guard managed to let out a painful whisper before his lifeless body falls onto the ground, Hoseok just watch his guard die without any emotion inside him.

"The way you spoke was as if you're begging me to end your life" Hoseok grabbed the guard's collar and tossed his body from the cliff, just like what he did to the redhead.
