''He did what?!'' all the objects said at the same time.

Calum nodded sadly and all the objects started talking between themselves. Some of them were angry, other sad that Luke left since Ashton has been different - in the better way - since he arrived. He gave a type of light to the big dark castle that they thought they wouldn't see again.

''He was so close, we were almost human again.'' A jar said sadly, making Mrs.Wilson turn to it with an angry face.

''Don't say it like that. It looks like we were using when we actually weren't, everyone needs to stop saying that. We were not using him.'' the teapot scolded them with a severe look making everyone shut up.

''He finally learned how to love. He loves him - isn't that enough?'' A book asked, looking ath Calum and Michael.

Michael shook his head ''I'm afraid not, Luke has to love him back. But it's too late now.''

The room went quiet when a roar was heard. It came from Ashton, the beast was standing on the East Wing watching the world outside in hopes that Luke would come from the woods saying that he loved Ashton and Ben was fine. He didn't mind Ben as long as it made Luke happy. He cried as his heart broke even more knowing it was an illusion because Luke was not coming back.

He let him go, he is not coming back.

Finding Ben was hard since he was in the middle of the woods and it was quite big. Ben was passed out in a snowbank. Luke carefully wke him up since it seemed like he was still kind of conscious. He put him in the horse and quickly walked to their home back in the village.

When they arrived the entrance of the house Luke sighed. It still looked the same: ld ladies peeking with judgy looks, their husbands following to see what was happening and Luke feeling uncomfortable. He took Ben off of the horse and petted it. He grabbed the mirror and took Ben inside, laying him on his bed and covering him with warm blankets.

Luke went to the kitchen and heard something move outside. He looked and saw Madison's sidekick, McKenzie, walking down the rad by their house. It was weird, she never comes here, she's rich. As he wet the rag something moved inside the bad he brought. It seemed like the thing was struggling to get out, he heard a childish voice muttering and Phil came out of there. Luke looked at him in desblief, what the hell was he doing here? How did he manage to get in the bag?

''Hi!'' he said innocently.

''H-How... How did you get in the bag?'' Luke asked, walking to him and picking him up.

Phil looked down and blushed ''I was taking a nap in there, it's comfy.''

Luke chuckled and took him to Ben's room along with the hot rag. He put it down on the desk and gently dragged the rag (note: i've said rag like 239392432904732 times omfg help) over Ben's face. After a few minutes the older started to open his eyes slowly, being conscious of what was happening.

''L-Luke?'' he said, cupping Luke's cheek.

''Hey Benny, I'm home.'' Luke smiled softly, hugging his brother who hugged back.

Tears started falling from Ben's eyes as he hugged Luke tight, like he was scared that he might leave again ''I-I thought I'd never see you again, I was so worried and-''

''It's fine, don't worry. I missed you so much Ben, I was worried sick about you.''

''But that beast, how did you- how did you escape without him noticing?''

Luke pulled away from the hug and sat on the chair ''I didn't escape, he let me go.''

''But he's a monster.''

''He changed, I don't know what made him change but he did.''

As he finished saying that Phil jumped on the bed, greeting Ben. The older's eyes lit up and he smiled noticing who it was. He grabbed the small cup of tea and tried to tickle it, it worked because Phil giggled.

''How are you, little fella? I thought I would not see you again.''

''I fell asleep on Luke's bag! It was comfortable and my momma says comfortable places are the best ones to take a nap!'' He said exitedly and then turned to Luke who was laughing at the situation ''Why did you leave us, Luke? Don't you like us anymore?''

Luke held his breath, how was he going to answer that? Especially to a small child. He was quiet for a few seconds trying to make phrases on his head, a easy and not-hurtful way to explain him why he had to leave. When he was going to talk there was a strong knock at the door. It was late, almost 1AM, it was not usual for a person to knock this late.

''I'll be right back.'' Luke said and the other nodded quickly going to a conversation of their own.

He walked to the door and opened it. A man who loked at least 55 was standing in front of him, a van behind him and the neighbours peeking. There was also a crowd around the van with many people, it confused Luke.

''Hello, can I help you?''

The man looked up and his green eyes looked emotionless ''I'm here to pick up your brother.''

Luke looked at the van behind the man and it said Kafhul's Asylum in big blue letters. The boy shook his head and clsed the dor a little so the man didn't try to come it. It was scaring him - he was confused and lost in what was happening. Ben was not crazy.

''My brother is not crazy.''

''Don't worry boy, we will take care of him.''

''Ben is not crazy, he never was and never will.''

''Oh but he is!'' a voice said from the crowd, McKenzie was coming from the crowd, stopping by the front row ''He walked in the bar yelling like mad, talking about a beast and a castle. You probably ran away from him didn't you?''

Luke shook his head multiple times, his brother was worried and was begging for help. He was not crazy, he was worried. ''I'm not letting you take him.''

''Luke? What's going on?'' Ben said, opening the dor to see what was happening ''What are this people doing here?''

''Tell us, you idiot!'' one man said and everyone laughed ''Tell us how that beast looked like!''

Ben shrieved, a frightening look on his face as he remembered the violent memories.

''He-he was... enormous!'' he struggled ''At least seven or nine feet! I swear!''

''Sure, sure.'' the man said.

Two persons in baby blue uniforms grabbed Ben by his arms and shoved Luke back, he ended up falling on the floor screaming at them. The boy got up but was stopped by another nurse, they put Ben next to the van but didn't take it.

''Poor Luke, it's a shame about Ben. He was so... nice.'' Madison said.

''Maddie you know he's not crazy.'' He pleaded, looking at her.

''I might save him, with only one condition...'' she said an Luke nodded eagerly like he was telling her to carry on ''... if you marry me.''

Luke's eyes were burning, he needed to do something but when he loked at Ben who was standing by the van and saw him shaking his head to not do that. ''There has to be another way...''

''Just a little word Luke, it doesn't cost anything.''

''He's real!'' he yelled to the crowd and grabbed the mirror that was on his pocket and tok it off ''The beast is real and I can prove it!'' he turned to the mirror and looked at his reflection before turning it to the crowd and telling it to show Ashton.

The blinding yellow light showed and on a few seconds Ashton was there. The mirror was turned to the crowd and everyone talked between themselves like they were coming up with something, like they were saying several theories or stories. Maybe lies, it could be all lies.

Luke turned the mirror to him and caressed the place where Ashton's face was. He looked so... sad and depressed, heartbroken even. Michael's voice came out of the mirror asking Ashton if he wanted something to eat. The beast didn't reply, he just shook his head and motioned Michael to go away which he did without saying a word with a frown on his face. His hazel eyes didn't have the usual light like they did when Luke was there or when he looked at Luke, he missed seeing that light. He missed Ashton like hell.

''Is it dangerous?'' A woman asked, a slight hint of panic on her voice.

''No, of course not! I know he seems scary but he is sweet and gentle.'' Luke smiled at Ashton's reflection ''He's my friend.''

Madison chuckled and took the mirror from Luke's hands roughly ''If I didn't know you I'd say you have feelings for this monster.''

''He's not a monster Madison, you are!''

Madison looked at him with an evil look. She looked at the nurses and tilted her head to Luke. They started walking to him ang grabbed him by his arms. They walked to the side of the house and threw the brother's on the basement, locking it with a piece of wood.

''The beast is dangerous!'' they heard Madison say, Luke hit the door multiple times trying to open it but it was useless ''It will come after your children in the night, it will kill us all unless we do something about it!''

''Stop lying, you're crazy!'' Luke yelled in hopes that someone heard him.

''We are going to that castle, and we are not coming back until that thing is dead!''

The last thing they heard was 'kill the beast' and heavy footsteps walking away. Luke can't do that - he can't let Ashtn die. It will be because of him, it's all his fault. If he didn't show the mirror then they wouldn't have gone there to kill Ashton and nothing would be happening. He would be at the castle or at his home and everything wuld be okay if he didn't have a psychotic obsessed bitch walking behind him just because she can't hear the word no.

He just wants to be next to Ashton right now, and as he let numerous tears fall he realised there was something different inside him.
