(When the mob enters the castle, all's quiet inside. They don't notice anything as they pass through the foyer which is filled with silent objects.)

John: This place gives me the creeps.

Arty: Shhhh!

John: Well, it does!

Arty: Shut up!

John: Arty, I want to go home!

Jason: CHARGE!
(The whole castle seems to come alive as the objects descend on the unsuspecting villagers. Circus Baby is chased by a villager.)

Circus Baby: Say, you're cute.

Villager: Naaah.

Circus Baby: Ahhh.

Villager: Ahhh.

Circus Baby: Oooooh.
(Carlton lights his pants on fire. He runs off. Carlton goes to Michael.)
(Lamar appears chasing a villager.)

Lamar: Tally ho!!! Tally ho!!!

Carlton: Sacre Bleu! Pardonnez moi, Master...

Michael: Leave me in peace.

Carlton: But the castle is under attack!

Michael: It doesn't matter now. Just let them come.

Carlton: Mon Dieu!...
(Marla enters with Jason on the teacart. John sees them and crosses.)

Marla: You look like you could use a nice cup of tea!

John: Tea? Oh, thank you!

Jason: Here ya go!
(Jason spits tea in John's face.)

Marla: Take that, you scurvy scum!
(Marla swings her spout, hitting John. He stumbles blindly as Marla exits with Jason.)

John: Where did everybody go?
(John bumps into Jessica. She stuns him with a high note. John turns and runs.)

(Arty enters the West Wing and sees Michael.)

Arty: Ha! You're even uglier in the flesh!
(Michael looks at him and turns away. Arty strides across the floor and kicks him.)

Arty: Get up!
(Michael groans but doesn't fight back.)

Arty: What's the matter Beast? Too kind and gentle to fight back?
(Arty punches Michael.)

Arty: You were in love with her, weren't you, Beast?
(He laughs cruelly.)
Oh, that's a good one! Did you really think a girl like that would want a thing like you? What a fool!
(Arty continues to beat and kick Michael.)

Arty: She despises you, Beast! And she sent me here to destroy you!

Michael: No.

Arty: It's over, Beast. Charlie's mine!
(Arty tries to stab Michael. Michael evades as Charlie enters the West Wing.)

Charlie: NO!
(Arty and Michael fight. Finally, Michael grabs Arty, ready to kill him.)

Arty: Pull me up! Pull me up! I'm begging you!
(Michael roars, prepared to kill him. He struggles with himself. He can't do it...he's too human now. He releases Arty.)

Michael: Get out. Charlie.
(Arty sags, gasping for breath. Michael moves towards Charlie.)

Charlie: I'm sorry...

Michael: You came back.

Charlie: Take my hand!
(But just as their hands meet, Arty plunges a knife into Michael's back. Arty stabs him again. Arty stumbles and falls to his death. Michael staggers towards Charlie and collapses on the West Wing. Charlie is holding Michael in her arms.)

Michael: You came back.

Charlie: Of course I came back. I couldn't let them...If only I'd come sooner.

Michael: Maybe it's better this way.

Charlie: Don't talk like that! Everything will be fine!

Michael: No...

Charlie: Shhh, shhhhh. We're together now. You'll see.

Michael: At least I got to see you one last time.

(She collapses on his chest.)

(And the last petal falls. There's a long moment...filled with the sound of Charlie's sobbing. Michael transforms back into a human prince. He has short light brown hair and pale blue eyes. He turns to Charlie and holds out his hand.)

Charlie: It is you!
(They kiss...the kiss that's been waiting for so long. Marla, Lamar and Carlton enter. They have been transformed into people.)

Marla: Oh my! Oh my goodness me!

Carlton: Marla!

Lamar: What's happening here?

Carlton: Lamar!

Lamar: Stop it! Stop that!

Carlton: The spell is broken!

Lamar: What?

Carlton: We're human again!

Lamar: Carlton! Come here!
(He kisses Carlton.)

Carlton: Stop it! Stop that!

Michael: Marla!

Carlton: Master!

Michael: Carlton! Lamar! Oh, my Lamar!
(Charlie comes over and takes Michael's hand.)
Let's go find your father!
(They go off.)

Lamar: Who was that young man?

Carlton: Michael!

Lamar: No it wasn't!

Carlton: Yes it was!

Lamar: No it wasn't!

Carlton: It most certainly was!
(Circus Baby enters.)

Circus Baby: Bonjour, handsome.

Carlton: Baby! You look so much better!

Circus Baby: What do you mean? I thought you liked the way I looked before.

Carlton: I did...it's just...I like you better this way.

Circus Baby: Then you were lying to me.

Carlton: No I wasn't.

Circus Baby: Yes you were!

Carlton: No I wasn't!

Circus Baby: Yes you were!

Carlton: Well, maybe a little.

Circus Baby: Carlton, I like you better this way too.
(She giggles. He chases her off. Jessica enters. She's transformed into a diva once again.)

Lamar: Jessica, may I say that you look ravishing!

Jessica: Thank you, Lamar. Do you like the outfit? I simply it fits me again, after all these years.

Lamar: It's magnificence in excelsius.

Jessica: Did you know...I wore this the night I modeled at the spring fashion show? The King himself was there...

Lamar: I know my dear. You were wonderful.

Jessica: Oh, Lamar!
(They exit.)

Jason: Marla! Marla!

Marla: Jason! Oh, my brother...my brother!
(Jason, the little boy, runs to his sister who bends down and gathers him in her arms.)

Jason: Are they gonna live happily ever after, Marla?

Marla: Of course, Jason. Of course.

Jason: Do I still have to sleep in the cupboard?
(Charlie and Michael come together and begin to dance.)
