The one thing that we shouldn't do is compare ourselves to your peers or anybody else. When you begin to compare yourself, you begin to compete. Comparison distracts you from living who you are. You begin to want what other people have and question why you do not have what they have. You question your abilities and your progress in life. We should not compare ourselves to others because we are made differently.  So our journey's in life are different. We aren't made to be at the same positions at once. Some people may take years to achieve certain things, others may attain them more easily on the other hand others may not even attain them. We are not destined for the same things. We might want the same things but we might not be called for certain things. Think about it this way.  We have different talents or jobs. I'm in retail and you in property. You excel in property and become successful at it. Myself on the other hand business isn't growing so I decide to change my career just because yours is thriving. Later to find out that things are not rosy for me in the property field and I don't blow up like you did. For a second think about the possibility of prosperity in your business if only you were resilient enough. Can you imagine how you have wasted your time and energy, skill and resources out of ignorance and the need to compete. Just by simply trying to be someone else you miss out on your life blessings. How do you expect God to bless you if you are not being true to who you are.  The downfall to comparison is that it kills your creativity. It kills your drive to work on you because your mind is so fixated on competing with your opposition rather than  perfecting your craft. God cannot bless what he did not make. It is important to stay in your own lane and run your own race. Focus on what you love and do what you are called to do. When you do what you love, you will thrive. Once you start realizing your power invested in you, you will be powerful. The truth is one can never be happy trying to live another persons life rather than their own. Learn to be content with where you are or you will be miserable. So do the honourable thing which is what you are called to do. Another man's success should only serve as motivation for you to work harder at your craft rather than it serving as competition. Don’t be concerned about whose getting ahead of you. Embrace your own pace and your own journey. After all, we are all headed in different paths. Bear in mind that we are all his designed for different roles in life. So, be secure in playing your role because only you can play your best.
Learn to see yourself from within yourself.

It is of utmost importance that we learn to see ourselves from within ourselves. We shouldn’t go around looking for people’s opinions about ourselves or try to be what seems ideal. You shouldn't give weight to outside views. People are often influenced by others  comments about them that make them want to change who they are or do what they do.  Another individual’s opinion about you does not validate who you are. Don’t glorify people's opinions. Also, don’t let people validate makes you or your dreams. Who you are is what you see when you look within yourself. So, our own opinion about ourselves should be the foundation in which we are built. Don't discard your values and aspirations those should be the building blocks that drive you to your success. Bystander opinions should not matter as much as your own opinion about yourself. In fact do not even give it the glory of consideration more especially if those comments are condescending and negative. Unfortunately at some point in life we come across rude and nasty comments. Learn to brush these away. Learn to distinguish between good energy and negative energy and be firm in deciding which source of energy you feed from. 
The minute you accept the negative energy. I have learned that when you receive the negative energy, you internalize it and it will consume you. You will become discouraged, depressed and hopeless which will make you languish in life. However, when you look at yourself from within yourself, you being to flourish. Focus on your core. Focus on your light and shinning that light bright. When you focus on your light, you will be the light to the world. You will be more radiant and happiness will shine forth. When you begin to see yourself from your core, you gain a new perspective of  life. You  immediately see your real self rather than the idealized self. You will see yourself from God’s eye. When you see yourself from within yourself you will not be led astray. There's something about being honest to yourself about yourself that brings harmony into your life. The stars are aligned. Things begin to make sense. Sunlight is peeping through the gloomy clouds. Be at peace with your current position bearing in mind that God is working, God is directing your paths.
