The night before, Yibo was already excited. Not only that in two days his wedding with Zhan will finally take place, no in the afternoon was also the wedding rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner for the wedding planned. Where his family will then also meet the family of Zhan for the first time. Because so far, they have not met in person.

Although Yibo's parents are in therapies and making good progress, they are still at the very beginning and still have a long way to go. And especially in the beginning, the two of them have to deal with setbacks again and again. And it is these setbacks that scare Yibo. He fears that the wedding and all the hustle and bustle might be too much for his parents.

In the morning, Yibo could hardly concentrate on his work because of his worries. Again and again he went to Zhan's office and complained about his fears. He imagined in his head all the possible scenarios that could happen. And each time, Zhan would reassure him again, until Zhan would simply accompany him to the office, sit down next to him, hold his hand, and say, "We can do this. Even if something happens. We can do this."

"I just wish that everything would go as planned. That everything is perfect and later you can tell our son that his dad did everything he could to make sure his daddy had a perfect wedding." Replied Yibo.

"Yibo, don't worry about it. You'll see, everything will be fine. We're getting married in two days and nothing will be able to spoil this day for us. And even if something goes wrong, it won't matter. We have each other, we are getting married and that is the most important thing."

"You're right. I'm already all excited and nervous about it."

"You have been for weeks."

"True. But so are you."

"Yeah, you're right about that. I'm only getting married once, after all."

"Me too, my honey. Oh Zhan?"

"Haha, I love you too." Replied Zhan with a grin. He gave Yibo a kiss and the two went back to their work. But neither of them could really concentrate. They were way too excited and happy that their day is finally so close and it's only two more days until they will be married to each other by a European registrar.

At 2 pm they drove home from work, showered, ate something, and then headed off again to the men's outfitter to pick up their wedding suits and shoes there. Then it continued to the location, an old barn that had been completely restored and remodeled by the owners just for this purpose. They offered their old barn, which now looked just beautiful and romantic, to couples in love as a wedding venue.

When the two arrived at the barn, Zhan's parents were already there talking to the Italian registrar who came here just for this wedding to marry Zhan and Yibo to each other. When they asked him if he would do the ceremony for them, he said it was a great honor and immediately agreed.

Immediately when the registrar Luca saw Zhan and Yibo, he walked up to them and joyfully shook their hands. He introduced himself to them again personally, since they had only had telephone contact with him so far, and explained to them how the rehearsal wedding would proceed.

Zhan's parents meanwhile already brought the two wedding suits into the appropriate changing rooms. Zhan and Yibo would not wear them today, but Zhan's parents booked the barn for three days to have enough time for the preparations and also so that they could bring everything there that was needed for the wedding without hesitation, so that it would not be too hectic on the wedding day, because everything had to be organized and set up first.

No sooner had Luca explained the entire wedding process than Yibo's parents arrived. They came in separate cars because Yibo's mother was still working in Zhan and Yibo's company and Yibo's father was at his therapy. They greeted Yibo and Zhan, talked briefly with Luca, and now they were just waiting for Hai Kuan, who was running a little late because he had to pick up his boyfriend from his work first.

When Hai Kuan finally arrived 20 minutes later, and he had introduced his boyfriend to everyone, they all went into the barn and took a look around. Already now a few decorations were visible, such as the many fairy lights with their warm white light hanging from the ceiling and should provide a pleasant flair during the wedding.

A few large pictures of Zhan and Yibo as a couple, but also of them when they were younger, stood on display stands along the side and will guide the way into the wedding hall on the wedding day. 

The large door to the wedding hall was open. On both sides were row after row of dark brown benches, on which the wedding guests will then sit. There they have more space than on simple chairs. It reminded Zhan and Yibo a little of the sight in churches.

On the benches, holders for small lanterns had been attached, which will then light up on the wedding day. They illuminate the red carpet in the middle of the aisle and reach up to three steps, which they then have to walk up.

On the stage like construction are two beautiful large chairs for the wedding couple. With fabrics that have been artfully designed with gold and silver. And the chairs are connected by a golden ribbon.

Behind the chairs is a large shiny wooden table on which are several candlesticks. The candles, which are at different heights, will glow on the wedding day while the registrar stands behind the desk and marries the couple to each other. On the wall and visible to all who look toward the stage is written in large letters, "Only love matters!" This is from the owners a sign for the loving. They are showing that they are also open to homosexual couples and are happy for them. They provide a platform for all lovers to say yes to each other.

They were ready for the wedding rehearsal when Seungyoun and his boyfriend Wooseok finally arrived as well. Seungyoun will be Yibo's best man. While Zhan wishes for Hai Kuan to be his best man. Yibo is still puzzling over this. When and how did the two become so close?

Everyone took their seats. The song Zhan and Yibo chose for the wedding, a song from a gospel choir, sounded over the loudspeakers and the rehearsal could begin.

Yibo stood nervously on the stage, with Seungyoun next to him. Hai Kuan on the side where Zhan will sit. Yibo's parents sat on the first bench on the left side. Zhan's mother on the first bench on the right side. Zhan and his father were standing at the big entrance door. And already father and son could hardly hold back their tears of joy.

Zhan was slowly led across the red carpet by his father. As he did so, Zhan raked in his father's arm. Zhan looked to Yibo, who was standing at the end of the red carpet, looking nervous.

When Zhan and his father arrived at Yibo's place, Zhan's father extended his hand to Yibo and said with a smile and a wink, "Today is just the rehearsal, wait what I have to tell you in two days." Then he extended Zhan's hand to Yibo and the two walked up the three steps.

Zhan and Yibo turned to their families and bowed to them three times, then they sat down on the chairs and the registrar went over some passages of the wedding ceremony with them. The rehearsal was done and everything went perfectly!

After the rehearsal, their parents talked to each other for the first time. And much to Yibo's relief, the four of them got along very well. They talked about how excited they were and how thrilled they were, praised each other's son, and expressed their incredible anticipation of being grandparents soon.

Zhan and Yibo, along with Youn, Wooseok, Hai Kuan and the latter's boyfriend Meng Yao, stood a little apart. They talked about the rehearsal and also got to know Hai Kuan's new boyfriend a little. Zhan asked him many questions and wished both of them that their relationship would last.

Just for a moment, Zhan took his soon-to-be brother-in-law aside and asked him, "Are you sure you're okay with seeing Cheng and his wife the day after tomorrow?"

"I hope so. I've moved on from Cheng now, and I'm newly in love. So I think everything will be fine. We're adults and we'll get it sorted out. Don't worry about it." Hai Kuan replied.

Zhan was relieved to hear that. Because he didn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable on his wedding day. But now that he also saw how in love Hai Kuan is with his new boyfriend, he was convinced that he will be fine.

Since there is not only a wedding hall in the big barn, but also a big dining hall where the wedding party will be held then, they did not need to change the location and just go to the next hall.

In the hall, apart from a large dance floor and enough space for the DJ and the lighting system, there are above all also many tables, which either stand individually and can accommodate 4 - 6 people per table, or they can be put together to form a large table, in any shape. Zhan and Yibo decided to keep the tables single.

The chairs were decorated with a beautiful fabric just like the two chairs in the wedding hall. Small table lamps created a relaxed mood. Here, too, several strings of lights hung down from the ceiling, looking like a starry sky when the big lights are turned off.

At a long table for the wedding couple and their parents, Zhan and Yibo and their parents sat down. At the table in front, the others. The wait staff from the catering service Zhan and Yibo hired brought them small portions of the menus they chose for the wedding dinner. The pastry chefs brought them a few samplings of the cake.

They tasted everything in turn and then discussed when the wedding cake would be brought into the hall and cut. The DJ who also came to the rehearsal played a few songs and introduced to them his program for the evening. Very relieved, Yibo realized that everything is perfectly prepared and now they only need to get married properly.

After all the rehearsals, their parents were the first to say goodbye. They wanted to get to know each other a little better over a relaxing tea at a café. Hai Kuan left with his boyfriend as well, since they both had another date that night. Youn and Wooseok went back to the apartment together of Zhan and Yibo.

Once home, the four of them sat in the living room and talked about Zhan's and Yibo's decision about the honeymoon. For a long time, the two could not agree. While Yibo still wanted to fly away with Zhan, Zhan preferred to stay here and honeymoon after their son was born.

But now they have finally been able to make a decision that the two are happy with. They will spend 10 days in a luxury resort after the wedding, where they will have their own house and their own access to the beach. But there is also a pool inside and outside the house. The whole thing is protected from the eyes of curious people by high hedges. And they can either order their food into their house, or they can go into the big dining room that they have there.

Youn and Wooseok really liked it and whined that they would like to go there too. Then when Youn asked about the wedding rings, Zhan proudly explained, "I haven't seen them yet. But I know that Yibo let some be made for us. According to his ideas and imagination. I'm already very excited about it."

"You are to be envied Zhan. Yibo just makes everything for you." Wooseok said, looking at Youn a little reproachfully.

Yibo wrapped his arms around Zhan and said, "For Zhan, I'm willing to do anything. No one is forcing me to do this. I just want to make my sweetheart happy."

"You're already doing that Yibo. Just your love for me, makes me happy every moment of my life." Zhan replied with a bright smile.

Afterwards, the four of them still talked about the baby and how they couldn't agree on a name yet. But the friends of the two were immediately sure that they will soon find a great solution for that, too. Zhan and Yibo felt the same way.
