An un-regrettable Walk

'Time in nature soothes my soul's lovely wild.' I had ended up going to the park in pure boredom. But to my surprise, the sight I beheld was worth it.

It was as cold as a January night, and I could not help but shiver. All around me, the houses were still lit it up, lighting in the night sky. It made the eery night seem a lot less scary, and the pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky. The stars were twinkling little pearls. The trees were illuminated up by the street lights, casting shadows on the road below them.

However, the smell at times made me want to cover my nose. There was an overabundance of dust in the air. I could see my breath come out as fog. The wind whistled in my ears and screamed in my face as I strolled, my booted feet stomping on the wet grass.

The lake was girdled by trees. It looked as smooth as a mirror and the crescent moon was reflected on the surface of the lake. I dipped my hand into the crystal clear lake but immediately drew my hand back. The water was as cold as ice.

As I forged my way back home through the wet grass, I saw the lights in each residence turn off. Discerning that it was late, I forlornly looked back at the beautiful park. I ran back home feeling my shoulders slumping.
