"What's your name?" A young blonde girl asked after the girl said that she wanted to join the guild.

Before she managed to respond, the blonde quickly introduced herself with her bright smile.

"I'm Lucy. Nice to meet you!" She waved her hand to the girl who was going to be her guildmate real soon.

"Elena Baines. Likewise."

"Well, where do you want me to put your guild mark on? Oh, and what color?" The white-haired lady, whose name is Mira, asked amiably.

Without hesitation, Elena answered, "Any shade of purple on my left thigh, please."

Mira then proceeded with the stamping. Now, she is officially a member of Fairy Tail. She finally found a place where she can stay. Smiling, Elena immediately looked over the job requests hanging on the board behind the counter where Mira was standing. The cloaked girl wondered which job will she take, thinking over the many variables of what ifs. Seeing the new member pondering over the job requests, Lucy decided to ask the girl to join her team. Although, she was cut off by one of her teammates who flew over to their side, bumping into Elena. As a result, the girl was lying on the floor with her hood down and her face clearly visible to everyone near.

"Gray!! What are you doing?!" Lucy lectured the half-naked guy who bumped into the new girl, earning an apologetic response from him.

"Sorry about that. Freaking flame brain." He muttered the last part and handed out his hand to help the once hooded figure.

"Here. Let me help you--"

"WHAT DID YOU SAY, ICE PRINCESS?!" The flame brain- another guy with salmon colored hair wearing a white scarf went in full speed ready to punch Gray.

"Stop it, Natsu," only to be stopped by the one and only, the almighty redhead.

With his short attention span, he looked curiously at the girl with lavender colored hair who was still lying on the floor, before beaming up brightly as if there was a food fest in front of him.

"That's a pretty cool thing you're wearing there! What's that?" Natsu asked childishly pointing at her eye cover, which was of the same color of her cloak. He got real close to her, much to Elena's dismay.

She's didn't really like attention, after all. Even more so when people get really close to her physically, invading her private space and all that.

Sensing the girl to be in discomfort, Gray stepped in, still without his shirt on. Before he got to say anything to Natsu, Elena spoke up.

"It's an eye mask. Pretty cool, huh?"

"Ain't that used for sleeping? Can you even fight wearing that thing?" Gray asked.

She smiled a little and shrugged. "What can I say? I do love me some sleep."

"Besides," she added, "I can fight without taking it off."

Elena managed to stood up, patting her cloak lightly to remove the dust. Then, she finally introduced herself to Gray, Natsu, and pretty much almost everyone in the guild, and they introduced themselves to her in return. There was the master's warm welcome and Lucy's invitation to join her team, Team Natsu. Without any hesitation, Elena Baines kindly accepted them all and smiled to herself.

'I'm glad I decided to join this guild.'
