Alan Reyes

I was clapping and looking at Bella when my phone rang. Hannah called me and I quickly picked it up.

"Mr. Reyes, Mr. McKen passed away from an overdose an hour ago." My whole body froze hearing the news and I turned to Bella who was currently talking to people who congratulated her.

"Overdose?"

"We all know that he's on drugs for years and yes, he was overdosed and they found him in his apartment taking lots of pills. We found a letter too and the police said it's pure commit suicide." Commit suicide?

"Give me the details through my email." I said and ended the call. My PI alerted me to keep my eyes on Bella because she seems a little suspicious. My PI said that Bella wasn't in her penthouse the night when Valerie went missing.

But now, Bella is here in front of my eyes when Ronald passed away. Why did my PI get suspicious with her? She's out here with me so it must be someone else's doing.

I can't believe my PI said that and I decided to call him.

"Merlin! What happened?" I asked.

"Mr. Reyes, we're currently investigating it. Mr. Reyes, I want to inform you something too." He said and I took a glass or champagne to calm myself down.

"What?"

"The head of the PI will move me to investigate on  Valerie more and I think it would be difficult for me to inform you the updated news. He replaced me with hood friend, Richard, and I will give you his phone number so you can contact him."

"Did my father ask you to investigate Valerie?" I asked.

"Yes and he made a special team to investigate Ryan and Martin too." Merlin said and I sighed.

"Give me Richard's number." I hissed and ended the call. Merlin texted me a number and I called this man right away.

"Richard right? You're the one who will replace Merlin?" I asked as he picked up.

"Good afternoon, sir. Yes, my name is Richard Coleman and I'm your new private investigator replacing Merlin as he will take over the Valerie's case."

"Give me details about what happened to Ronald?" I asked and I sipped my champagne slowly.

"Mr. McKen was purchasing a lot drugs 2 weeks ago.  He used bit coins to buy it on the dark web because his friend just recommended him this new drug. He was supposed to take a pill a day but this dawn.. he took 4 pills right at the time. We're going to do an autopsy on him to confirm what happened."

"Do you think this link to the previous death of Valerie?" I asked carefully.

"We're still looking into it but the letters proofed that it was a suicide. It was his own handwriting and we didn't find any other DNA inside his house. We checked the CCTV too but he got no guess recently."

"Merlin once told me to be suspicious with Bella, why? What was your team explanation for it?" I asked as I turned my body to still see Bella talking and laughing with a lot of people.

"We already found Ms. Morgan's whereabouts that night. Apparently she stayed at a man's house named Rex Harlem. She's sleeping with another man that night and I couldn't help but wanting to get mad.

"You saw her leaving the property?"

"Yes, she went there around 6 in the evening and the next day, she came out around 7 in the morning with the same dress."

"Unbelievable!" I hissed.

"I will inform you if there's another news." He said and I ended the call. I put my phone inside my pocket and walked towards Bella.

"Good job, partner." I smiled and she took a glass of champagne and drank it.

"I'm glad that it's already opened."

"Ronald McKen passed away." I said and her eyes widen. She looked at me confuse and completely in shocked.

"What happened?"

"Overdose."

"This is too much.. this saga is just too much." She said as she took a sip of it.

"I know." I sighed.

"Let's have dinner together tonight." She suddenly said and that surprised me.

"Okay."

"You booked the same hotel as mine right?"

"Yeah."

"Great, let's have dinner in my room then." She smirked and then she walked away. I can't stop admiring her beauty. You won't be able to resist and she's just luring me to her trap.

I can't wait for tonight.

Apparently she left with some her employees to check on the new factory. I decided to have a rest on my hotel room because I've been working a lot lately. I fell asleep right away when I threw myself to the bed.

I opened up my eyes and realized that it's already night time. I checked my phone and there's a lot of missed call from Bella already. I quickly called her back immediately.

"Oh.. you're alive?" She asked me in sarcastic tone.

"Sorry, I fell asleep."

"Come to my room." She said and ended the call right away. She texted me her room number and I quickly got out from my room. I quickly go up to her room floor and knocked on the door. The guards were looking at me suspiciously and then Bella opened the door for me.

She was holding a fork with a steak on it. She looked at me annoyed and gestured me to come it.

"I'm sorry, I was so tired." I said as I back hugged her. She ignored me as she kept walking into the room. I saw a whole set up of romantic dinner and delicious foods on the table.

"I'm done eating already.. you can eat yours and go back to your room. You ruined my mood." She hissed and I picked her up bridal style. She looked at me with her eyes widen.

"What are you doing?"

"So.. why did you plan this? Are you planning to answer my offer?" I asked and I smiled at her. She rolled her eyes on me and shook her head.

"I was but I changed my mind." She said as she ate the steak piece that attached to her fork.

"Put me down." She said and I put her down.

"You ruined the mood of me wanting to tumble in bed with you. I didn't even wear anything under this!" She said and I looked at what she's wearing. I just realized that she was wearing a dark red silk dress.

"I'm going to bed.." She turned her body around but before she could do that. I picked her up and laid her on the bed. I crashed my lips to her and started to have fun.
