38; got a sense he might be betrayed

Chapter Thirty-Eight
『got a sense he might be betrayed』

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Bodie wondered whether or not he made some kind of mistake when he woke up. He found that Leo was still asleep beside him, and there was a sense of dread that somewhat filled him. he wondered whether or not Henry would walk in and yell at him for sleeping with his friend's brother, but despite Bodie's sense of dread, there was something nice about waking up beside someone else that wasn't Klaus. He knew that he shouldn't be thinking this, that there's a chance that it might add to something, but it felt nice to have someone else beside him.

He didn't think that there was a chance that he would sleep with someone else and a part of him felt bad knowing that Leo might not have wanted to stay the night with him. He wondered whether or not he should wake Leo up to ask, but he knew that there was a chance that he was just overthinking as a whole just in case there was a chance that he fucked something up. He knew that he wanted a distraction and Leo was that distraction for now, he just didn't want to hurt someone else in the process.

Bodie wondered whether or not he should make an effort to wake Leo up, but there was just a small part of him that didn't want to wake him, worried just in case Leo got crept out of anything. Though, as Bodie watched, there was something oddly nice about watching the way that Leo slept. He knew that he shouldn't be watching and that he needed to do other things, but even still, it was something that he couldn't help but do.

He shook his head. He knew that he was being stupid. He scooted out of his bed, careful not to wake Leo in the process. He decided that it was best that he got ready, so he managed to find his own clothes across the mess that was now his room. He was surprised that he didn't wake Leo up in the process. He thought that there was a chance that he would've woke him up a few times, though was somewhat happy that he didn't.

He'd been in the bathroom, brushing his teeth, it was then that he heard movement from his room. He wondered whether or not he should go out and greet Leo but thought that it was best that he didn't. Even though he wanted to be cautious around Leo, there was just this small slither of hope that there was a chance that they could do this again at some point. But he knew that when it came to him telling the truth, everyone closest to him would be in danger. He didn't want to put Leo in any more danger than what he was in.

After a moment, Bodie came out of the bathroom and came back into his room to see that Leo was almost rushing around his room to get his clothes from the previous day on. Bodie leaned against the doorframe with a smile on his face as he watched. He had a feeling that he shouldn't be amused by this as a whole, but at the same time he found that he couldn't help but be amused by this as a whole.

There was something about watching Leo run around his room to get his clothes on that made Bodie somewhat happy as a whole. He knew that there was a chance that he should just do his own thing and ignore what Leo was doing but all of this was amusing as a whole. He found himself smiling in a small way, he felt oddly warm on the inside when he watched Leo.

It took Leo a moment to notice that Bodie was there and when he did, Leo jumped slightly. "Oh. . .hi."

Bodie leaned his head against the doorframe. "Hi. Were you planning on sneaking out?" He knew that there was going to be the chance that Leo would run off without Bodie realising, but to see that an attempt was being made was oddly. . .adorable?

Leo looked down as if he were ashamed that he was making an attempt. "Maybe." He sighed. "Look, about last night. As much as I enjoyed what we did, I don't want to risk getting hurt by you because of. . .Klaus."

Bodie nodded and smiled. "I know. And I'm sorry for dragging you into all of this mess to begin with."

Leo took a few steps towards Bodie. "Not that I want this to stop. . .I mean, what we did. I don't want that to stop if that's okay."

There was something about the way that Leo said that which made him smile in some way. "Sure." He reached out to Leo. "Of course, the last thing that I want to do is to hurt you, Leo, because of me and because of my relationship with Klaus."

"Promise?" Leo asked. There was this look in his eyes that made Bodie almost regret doing anything with Leo if it meant hurting him in some way.

"I can't promise anything, Leo." Bodie admitted. "But the one thing that I can promise is that I will do everything in my power to make sure that your safe."

   Leo looked down then. "Okay."

That seemed like enough for Bodie, so he just smiled. He knew that it wasn't the answer that Leo was looking for, but it was the only thing that Bodie could offer him. He knew that there was a chance that he might fail, but there was just something about Leo that made him almost want to protect him in some way. He felt as if he needed to protect Leo from everything, though he knew that it meant from himself.

Bodie sighed and took a step towards Leo. "I know that's not what you wanted to hear, Leo, but I mean what I say when I'll protect you from as much as I can if it means that your safe."

Leo shifted slightly then. "Is that what you've been doing when it comes to Klaus? I mean, you could have told him about what Elliot, and I are, and that my mother is a werewolf."

"I didn't tell him because he has no right to know." Bodie told. "I was afraid that if he knew, then there was a chance that he'd turn you all without much warning and you would have turned out like Tyler."

Leo nodded. "Right. And what of you and Klaus?"

"I don't see us working out." Bodie admitted. As much as it hurt to admit, he knew that it was true in some way. "When I tell him what I did to his family, there's going to be nothing between us, something that I'm sure means that there's nothing to come back from."

The more that he thought about what would happen between both him and Klaus and the lack of relationship that he was going to have was something that rather hurt him in some way. For a thousand years he always knew that he could come back to Klaus no matter the argument that they had, but this was different. This was going to burn everything between all of them and that was something that he hated but knew that he couldn't come back from it as a whole.

"Because you killed Henrik, right?" Leo asked. "Their baby brother?" Bodie looked at him with an odd look. "Supernatural hearing, I heard your conversation with Elena."

"Right." Bodie nodded. "Yeah. Because of that."

For a moment, everything was silent. There was a part of Bodie that wished that they didn't have this conversation, that they could just go back to whatever they were beforehand, but he knew that the only other thing that they could talk about was the fact that they slept together. Bodie chose to just remain silent, knowing that he had nothing else to say just as a whole.

"I'm going to go." Leo said. "I'd like to do this another time, if that's not too bad to ask."

   Bodie nodded. "Sure."

With that, Leo walked out of Bodie's bedroom, leaving Bodie to wonder what the hell was going on. He was surprised just as a whole when it came to all of this. He'd agreed to sleep with Leo once more. Not that he was complaining, he was just surprised with himself just as a whole. It'd been so long since he'd slept with someone that wasn't Klaus that it almost felt weird that he was doing it with someone else.

Bodie found himself sitting on his bed, wondering as to what he was meant to do with himself, knowing that he felt as if everything changed, that there was a chance that anything that he felt before was different. His plans to tell the Mikaelson's about what he did hadn't changed, but everything else had when it came to Leo and Bodie's plan to turn him. As much as he knew that he needed to rethink parts of his plans, he just hoped that his feelings wouldn't get too much in the way as a whole.

He heard the sound of the front door shutting and then he could basically feel Henry standing in the doorway. He wasn't ready for whatever Henry wanted to say to him about all of this, he knew that Henry had heard all of what happened between Leo and him, and he knew that Henry would have a lot of concerns between Leo and Bodie as a whole.

"As much as I know that moving on from Klaus is a good thing, need I remind you that Leo might not be a good person for you to move onto." Henry stated. His arms were crossed. "You'll end up hurting him, Bodie."

"I don't want to hurt him, Hen." Bodie said. He really didn't. "I want to protect him. I mean, he's already fucked given that he's working with me, but I will protect him, Henry."

Henry sighed. "Promise me that you'll protect him. He's innocent, he can't be ruined because he got close to an Original and his fight."

Bodie knew that he was right. He really didn't want to hurt Leo as a whole. The last thing that he wanted to do was hurt Leo, he would hate to hurt someone so innocent, someone who didn't have to get involved in his shit but was dragged in just because Bodie knew his grandparents. He knew that there was a chance that he was going to hurt Leo, but it was something that he wanted to try and avoid as much as possible.

"I will protect him." Bodie assured. "That's all that I want to do. But no matter what, Henry, he's going to be dragged into it whether we like it or not."

Henry sighed and shook his head. "I don't need to tell you how fucked this situation is going to be if it grows, right?"

Bodie nodded. "I know. And you don't need to lecture me about the Klaus side of it all as well, I don't need it right now."

Henry nodded. "Okay. Just make sure that Leo doesn't get hurt, please."

Bodie didn't say anything. He knew that this was something that he needed to hear but at the same time, he didn't have the energy to deal with any of this at the moment. He knew that there was a lot that he needed to focus on and talking about the possibility of seeing someone else was something that he couldn't do right now. Henry left Bodie alone, he knew that there was a chance that the Snow's might be coming back for more planning, though that's something that he wasn't too sure on.

Bodie thought back to last night and then managed to remember what he'd asked Will and Henry to do. He almost ran after Henry. "Hen!" Henry turned to him. "Did you manage to get what I asked you to get from the bridge?"

Henry somewhat tensed up. "We only got one piece, but you should know, Damon and the others also got some. The sign for Wickery Bridge was made out of the same wood as the one that can kill you, Bodie."

Bodie felt himself tense up slightly. He didn't like that thought. As much as he was happy that both Will and Henry managed to get more, knowing that Damon and the others had some was something that was rather off putting as a whole. There was this small little part of him that wondered whether or not he should tell Klaus and such, but he knew that there was a chance that neither of them would want to talk to him which didn't help him as a whole.

"Okay." Bodie muttered. He wasn't sure what he was going to do with this as a whole. He knew that there was a possibility that they might use anything on him just to get back at Klaus, which made him wonder if Leo knew about any of it which was why Leo decided to sleep with him. As much as he didn't want to think too much into any of it, there was a small part of him that felt as if he had the obligation to tell the Mikaelson's about it in some way given that it was something that could kill them.

"Look, I'm meant to be meeting with them today." Henry told. "I think that they're going to talk about their plans, but I'll try and talk to them to see if there's a chance that they can rethink their plans."

Bodie shook his head. "As much as I would love that you did that, I know that you want Klaus gone more than anyone."

"Bodie, they're still pissed at you for betraying them." Henry stated. "Given that at the ball they basically declared you as one of their own, your basically just as much as a target as Klaus. They don't like you and I'm sure that they want you gone."

Bodie groaned slightly. "For fucks sake." The last thing that he wanted was the possibility of being a target for anyone other than the Mikaelson's. Though, now that he knew that there was a chance that the Mikaelson's could get their hands on some white oak stake, he knew that he was in so much more trouble than he expected to be and that was something that didn't sit right with him as much. "Okay, just. . .make sure that they actually don't go through with anything for Klaus and me, and probably the others as well."

   Henry nodded. "I'll try to."

"If needed to be, just take control over the situation as a whole." Bodie stated. He really didn't know what to do as a whole, what was he meant to do knowing that Damon and such had white oak? He knew that he was more fucked than anything else, if any of them tried anything against him, he knew that he'd have to kill them, not only that but if the Mikaelson's got their hands on any of the pieces, he'd actually die.

Bodie just shook his head slightly. Henry seemed to take that as his exit. Bodie knew that there was nothing that he could do, there was a small part of him that wondered if he should interrupt the meeting that Henry was going to and grab all of the stakes and burn them, but he knew that it might fuck everything up for Henry and that was something that he didn't want to do.

He found himself in Will's room, Will who was still asleep. Bodie didn't care that Will was asleep, all that he needed was to find a way to annoy someone in order for it to be a distraction. Bodie knew that there was a chance he was going to get his brain melted but at the same time he didn't care, he didn't care that Will hated being woken up in the morning, he didn't care that Will would like to be left alone in the morning.

Bodie laid on top of the sleeping Will, and Will groaned and made an attempt to push Bodie off of him. "Get off me!" Will groggily said. Bodie didn't move.

"Oh, William, how sad I truly am." Bodie said with a sense of amusement. As much as Bodie knew that Will hated to be woken up of a morning, there was just something amusing as a whole to annoying Will with something so small.

"Seek therapy." Will grumbled. "Get out of my room."

Bodie pouted. "No, I'm rather comfortable laying on you." He half rolled of Will and took up the extra minimal space beside Will. "You know, Will, I could die soon whether or not it's by one of the Mikaelson's hands or by Henry's friends, and you'll miss me annoying you."

"Maybe I should kill you if it meant I can sleep." Will muttered. "Given that you've kept me awake majority of the night while you fucked Leo."

"Oh, I'm sorry that the big bad heretic can't get laid." Bodie said. "Is that why your so pissed?"

Will grabbed hold of one of his pillows and hit Bodie across the face. "Annoy someone else, please."

Bodie groaned slightly and got up. "I'm going into town. Want anything?"

Will turned and buried his head into his pillow. "Get doughnuts please. Specifically, the ones with the vanilla icing."

"And the sprinkles?" Bodie asked. Will hummed in response which sounded like a 'yes.'

Bodie left the room and the house, deciding to take a walk into town. As much as he knew that Stefan and such had white oak, there was a part of him that found that he didn't care that much. As much as he knew that he needed to be worried for his life, there was a part of him that found some kind of peace with the chance that he would die.

He knew that it was rather stupid just as a whole, but if he were to go to the other side, at least he'd be reunited with his parents and siblings. As much as he knew that he should be wanting to fight for his life, there was just this need to see his family again. At this point, he was ready to see his family and that's all that seemed to matter to him.

Bodie shoved his hands into his pockets, he knew that he needed to be cautious about his surroundings as if anyone from that group might pop out and stake him, but he wanted to believe that they wouldn't have a chance to do such a thing. He shook his head slightly in hopes to rid himself of his thoughts.

He found himself walking into the Mystic Grill, though the one thing that he didn't expect to notice was both Sage and Finn sitting at a table doing Tequila shots. As much as he knew that Finn made an attempt to get them all killed, Bodie was somewhat happy that Finn was finally being able to live his life outside of the coffin he spent most of his immortal life in.

Bodie found himself walking over to the pair of them. Finn looked up at him and his previous happy expression turned into one of displeasure. There was a small part of Bodie that somewhat realised that he'd cut off what seemed to be a deep conversation between the pair of them. "Finn. Sage."

"Oh, fuck off, Bodie." Finn muttered.

"Sorry, am I interrupting a date between you?" Bodie asked, looking between the two.

Sage gave him a look. "There's no need for you to be here, Erikson."

Bodie pouted. "Oh, come on. I'm not Klaus, here to ruin your fun. In fact, why not more shots?"

   "Bodie!" Finn snapped.

Bodie gave him a look. "Oh, please. Your siblings are basically refusing to talk to me, might as well try and talk to you. So, Finn, can we push past any hatred between us. Whatever I did to you that made you hate me to begin with, I'm sorry."

Finn leaned against the table just as three shots came to their table. "And why should I do that? You lied to my family."

"And you're trying to kill them." Bodie counted.

"I heard a little rumour about you, Bodie." Sage cut in. "About a regret."

"Oh great." Bodie muttered. He took one of the shot glasses in hand. "Let me guess, Rebekah told you."

Sage hummed. Finn looked towards Bodie then. "You're hiding something else. From my family."

Bodie nodded. "About the night that changed your lives." He somewhat smiled then. "About your baby brother."

Finn shifted. "Henrik." His jaw clenched. "You're the werewolf that killed Henrik."

Bodie rose his shot glass. "Down the hatch."

Both Finn and Sage slowly held up their shot glass, though by the looks of it, Finn wanted to kill Bodie for everything which was something that Bodie didn't mind at all. They collectively downed their shots but spat it back out and gagged.

   "What the hell?" Sage gagged.

   "Vervain." Finn stated.

There was a sense of dread that then came through Bodie. He had a feeling that he knew what was going on, or what was going to happen. Both Finn and Bodie turned to see how Stefan walked out of the Grill. Bodie felt everything within him turn from dread to a sense of anger, he had the opportunity to kill Stefan before anything got worse, plus he was getting bored of Stefan and his anticks.

Sage, Finn, and Bodie shifted and went after Stefan. They walked out of the Grill, using the same door that Stefan did. Finn was first to step outside, followed by Sage, though it was then that Stefan went to attack Finn with a stake in hand. Sage noticed the action and shoved Stefan onto the floor, flipping him over that it caused Stefan to drop the stake.

   "Finn, the stake!" Sage yelled.

Both Finn and Bodie went towards the stake. It was Finn that got to the stake first, and just as they went to turn back to go up, Elena opened the backdoor with a crossbow in hand. Bodie stood in front of Finn just as Elena released one of the stakes. For a second, Bodie wondered whether or not it would mean his life, though he caught it.

Bodie grinned as Elena looked at him with a surprised look as if this were something that she didn't expect. "Hello Elena." He flipped the stake in his hand and threw it at Elena, managing to embed it into Elena's shoulder. Elena yelled and he felt the veins under his eyes shift. "Goodbye, Elena."

   "Elena, run!" Stefan ran.

Elena turned and went to run, though Bodie caught up to her with ease. It took Bodie a second before he realised that there was a chance that this was the plan, given that he heard Sage yell for Finn.

Bodie held Elena in his arm as he turned to see Finn on the stairs with Sage over him, sobbing. As much as he knew that he was never close with Finn, it still felt as if he were watching a brother die. Bodie felt the way that his heart dropped as he saw the familiar grey skin cover Finn's skin. Sage cried over Finn's body though it was then that Finn's body exploded into fire.

"Finn." Bodie muttered with wide eyes. As much as he knew that Finn hated him for multiple reasons and that they were never close, he felt almost guilty over his death, like there was something that he could have done in order to prevent it from happening. "No."

He felt the twist of anger then consume him. Elena still wiggled in his arms and Stefan seemed to want to go for him. He felt a sense of a need to enact revenge towards Elena and Stefan. Bodie rose his free arm and bit his wrist. Elena was yelling for him to stop but he didn't listen, he forced his now bleeding wrist to her mouth. "Go on, drink."

Stefan charged for Bodie then as if he had the means to protect Elena. Bodie found himself grinning as he then discarded Elena as if she were nothing and managed to pin Stefan to the floor. A sinister grin found its way onto Bodie's face as he stared down at Stefan. Bodie was tempted to remove Stefan's head from his shoulders but thought that it would be too quick of a death.

"You've already experienced my hybrid bite, Stef," Bodie said. "Why not another?"

Bodie picked Stefan up, his other teeth came through as he then bit Stefan's neck. Though, that seemed to not be enough for Bodie, he decided to snap Stefan's neck at the same time. He glared down as Stefan's body dropped to the floor and then stared up at Elena who seemed to be cowered away from Bodie.

He knew that she expected him to be dead, but he had a feeling that Klaus must have managed to get something sorted in order to prevent such a thing to happen. "Your planned failed, Elena. And now the only two people that can cure that werewolf bite are the very two people that your trying to kill."

Bodie knew that he should just kill both Elena and Stefan right here, but he felt that now wasn't right. Stefan would die anyway given a day or so, and that was something that was fine with him. Bodie found himself rushing off, leaving Sage crying over Finn's now ashes.

He found himself at Klaus' mansion three hours later. He'd called both Will and Henry and told them about Finn, told them about the fact that Finn was dead and that there's a chance that Klaus managed to get them all unlinked. He didn't know what to do as a whole with himself, what was he meant to say to both Rebekah and Klaus? That he was there when Finn died?

Bodie shook his head and just caved into his need to go inside. It was inside that he heard that Stefan, who had healed from his broken neck rather quick, inside and talking to both of the people that Bodie wanted to talk to.

   "Finn's dead." Stefan told them.

"You killed my brother?" Rebekah asked.

It was then that both Stefan and Bodie locked eyes, a smile then grew on his face. "Bodie did." Bodie was actually going to kill him. Stefan took a step towards Klaus then. "Damon and your blood for this," he showed the bite, "in exchange for the last eight weapons that can kill you."

"And how do I know there aren't any more left?" Klaus asked.

   "Because there aren't."

   "Liar." Bodie growled.

"There aren't any more left." Stefan stated.

Bodie so wanted to kill him. He'll torture Stefan and then skin him while he's alive before eventually killing Stefan. A slow and agonising death.

Klaus looked between both Bodie and Stefan, clearly thinking on something. "Let's be certain, shall we?" Klaus then walked towards Damon and leaned into him. "Leave."

   "No."

   "Go on, leave."

"Nik," Rebekah said. "He's my plaything, not yours."

Klaus then grabbed Damon's neck rather violently which caused Damon to groan. "I said, go home."

Damon struggled against the chains that held him, ripping the bear trap from his bleeding wrists. Damon groaned as he did such a thing, Bodie found himself cringing in some way. As much as he was up for torturing someone and hurting others, it doesn't sit right when others done such a thing. A part of him wanted to turn away, but he found that despite everything, there was a chance that this might be hurting Stefan in some way.

"All right, stop." Klaus said. "Stop. Stop, before you hurt yourself." Klaus was somewhat laughing at the entire situation, which was clearly enough to let Bodie know that he was rather enjoying this more than anything. "Well, I see that he can finally be compelled. Now," he cleared his throat. "Minus the stake that's in my brother, how many more stakes are out there that can kill me?"

Damon dropped his head slightly before rising it once more. "Eleven."

"Eleven, really?" Klaus repeated. "So not, eight then."

Rebekah looked towards Stefan then. "You really shouldn't have lied."

"I suppose that hybrid bite is effecting him rather quick." Bodie commented.

Stefan gave him a harsh look. "I'll get you the other three."

"Yeah, that'd be nice." Klaus said. "Or, since you lied maybe I'll compel your brother to chew out his tongue."

   "What is wrong with you?"

"What is wrong with you?" Klaus yelled, gesturing towards Stefan. "Do you really have no appreciation for me? I have given you someone to hate. To loathe. A target for all of your anger so you don't have to turn it on yourself. I have given your life purpose, as your friend." Klaus laughed slightly. "I mean, I really think you should be thanking me."

Stefan turned and shoved Klaus. "Enough!" Stefan had shoved Klaus against the wall with a stake in his hand. Klaus was holding onto Stefan's wrist, holding the white oak stake back.

Bodie heard the slight growl coming from Klaus at thar. "Step down or you both die now." Stefan seemed almost hesitant to do such a thing though, Klaus took the stake from Stefan's hand as the younger vampire let go and backed down. "There. Now you only have to get me the other two. Bodie, heal him, he'll do better with a clearer head."

Bodie wanted to batter someone repeatedly at that, the last thing that he wanted to do was to heal Stefan who was responsible in killing Finn and then had the audacity to blame him. At this point, he was more than willing to turn the stake on himself if it got him out of this misery. Fuck all of this, he'd rather let Stefan suffer right up until the last minute if it meant that he would be in constant suffering.

"This is ridiculous." Rebekah stated. She walked up towards where Damon was hung and ripped the bear traps from Damon's wrists.

"What are you doing?" Klaus asked as he came walking towards Rebekah.

Damon fell to his knees as Rebekah ripped off the other bear trap. "I brought him here. I get to release him. My rules now, bring us the stakes and you both live and Bodie will cure that bite."

Bodie wondered if he could get away with not giving Stefan his blood so that Stefan could know what a true and slow death really was. Though, now that he could leave the bite on Stefan until all the stakes were in their possession was something that brought Bodie joy. He never thought that being able to leave a hybrid bite on someone for so long could bring him joy, it was something that made him wonder whether or not this was what it was like for Klaus any time that he threatened someone.

"Take your brother as a sign of good faith." Rebekah added. She picked up the duffle bag of stakes and left the room. As she passed Bodie, she gave him a look as if she were planning to use one of those stakes on him, which let him know enough. It was time.

Klaus opened his arms wide with the stake in one hand. "Bring us the stakes. All of them. Or I'll wage a war against everyone you love. I hope I'm being clear."

Klaus walked passed Bodie then and with his free hand, Klaus dragged Bodie by his jacket hood. Bodie was going to say something but resorted into staying silent considering that he knew of what was to become. He knew that it was time to tell both Rebekah and Klaus of everything, of his full truth and his biggest regret.

Bodie let Klaus drag him into another room. Rebekah looked as if she had murder in her eyes when she looked at Bodie, though that was something that doesn't really matter all that much to him—or he tried not to think too much into it as a whole, given that it was going to be a look that he would need to get used to.

The one thing that Bodie didn't expect was when Klaus snapped his neck. Of course, there was a chance that he needed to get used to Klaus trying to do shit to him, but he at least thought that there was a chance that Klaus would let him explain everything.

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

"I can't believe that Finn is dead." Rebekah said. Bodie wasn't sure how long he'd been out for and there was a small part of Bodie that wondered if he could just pass of being asleep but knew that both Klaus and Rebekah would realise. Though, even still, to avoid telling them what he wanted to tell them, Bodie kept his eyes shut, acting as if he hadn't healed.

"Good riddance." Klaus stated. "He was an embarrassment, Rebekah."

"He was still your brother." Rebekah said. "Mind your tongue."

"Fine. Let's all say a prayer for Finn who slept in a box longer than he lived as a man." Klaus sarcastically said. "He was a lovesick fool. He's better off in death."

Rebekah came walking towards Klaus. "Is that how you'd speak of me if I died?"

"You let the Salvatore's loose with two stakes that kill us. So, I guess we'll find out soon enough." Klaus stated. "And since when did you have a soft spot for them?"

"The Salvatore's may fight like dogs, but in the end they would die for each other." Rebekah said. "At least they know what family means. You destroyed ours like father destroyed the Erikson's."

"I wanted a family, they just didn't want me." Klaus told. "And now we're unlinked. We're no longer responsible for each other."

"So, are you leaving?" Rebekah asked after a moment.

"Soon as I get my stakes, I'm gone." Klaus told. "I'll need to get Bodie's stake as well, just to be on the safe side. I'm gonna take Elena and use her blood to create a new family of hybrids and if I'm lucky, I might forgive Bodie and rekindle that."

There was something about the way that Klaus said that which made Bodie believe that there was ever a chance that they could be together, even after what Bodie wanted to tell them. What he knew that he needed to tell them.

"And if I choose to stay?" Rebekah asked.

For a moment there was silence and Bodie wondered whether or not now would be the best time to pop up and admit everything, but he chose that he needed to be quiet for now. He didn't want to interrupt anything that was going on between the pair of them.

"Then you're just as pathetic as Finn." Klaus responded.

By the sounds of it, Klaus was going to leave, and it was then that Bodie sat up. "Klaus, stop." Klaus paused and briefly looked towards Bodie with a look, though it seemed as if Klaus was tempted to ignore him. "First of all, I didn't kill Finn, just want to say that before anything else."

"Now's not the time, Bodie." Klaus told.

"Now is the time, Klaus." Bodie pressed. "It needs to be now before I decide to back out of it."

Rebekah shifted, despite her conversation with Klaus, she looked as if she was interested. "You're telling us this secret of yours?"

Bodie clenched his jaw. "Seeing Finn die and have Stefan make an attempt to pin the blame on me, it made me realise that I needed to tell you both what I've been hiding. And know that it's something that hurts me to say."

Klaus seemed to clench his jaw slightly, though Bodie tried not to stare at him, knowing that if he were to look at Klaus, it would make all of this harder than expected. "Well, get on with it."

Bodie found himself looking down, his hands in his lap. "I know that this is going to ruin anything that you've ever thought about me and it's. . . bad."

As much as he knew that he wanted to talk about it, that he needed to tell both Rebekah and Klaus about it, but now that he was about to tell them it felt as if all the panic built up and consumed him more than anything. He knew that the right thing to do was to tell both of them, but at the same time he thought that it was best to keep it all hidden still to preserve his already shit relationship with them, in hopes to repair anything before it's fully broken.

Bodie swallowed. "As you know, I've been a triggered werewolf since I was 10. There was a night, before we became this, when we were human, Klaus went out on a full moon to watch my people turn."

"I remember." Klaus said stiffly. "Henrik was there. The night that he. . .died." Klaus shifted slightly as if the memory was rather uncomfortable for him. "Because of—" He shook his head slightly as if he didn't want to fully say what he wanted to say.

"You didn't kill him, Klaus." Bodie stated. "It wasn't your fault."

"Why bring this up?" Rebekah asked, irritated. "Why bring up our brother?"

Bodie rose to his feet and looked at both Klaus and Rebekah who looked as if this was something that they didn't want to discuss as a whole. "I'm bringing this up because I need to tell you. For a thousand years, you've been friends with the person that ruined your lives and made you this way. For a thousand years, I've been holding the truth from you, been holding everything that's important for you to know what happened the night that Henrik died."

Klaus seemed to shift then, a hard look falling upon Bodie. There was this look on Klaus' face that was enough for Bodie to know that no matter what he was in deep shit. "And what do you and my brother's death got to do with anything?"

"You're not listening." Bodie's face twisted then.

"You're not good at explaining." Rebekah argued.

Bodie rubbed his eye then with a groan. "The night that both you and Henrik went out to watch my people turn, a werewolf attacked Henrik and killed him." He looked at down then. "And when morning came, none of you saw me like you normally would the day after a full moon. You didn't see me for a week until Ingrid made me meet Klaus half-way." He shook his head slightly then. "I killed Henrik. I killed him and instead of going to comfort you, I let you believe that it was someone else."

Both Klaus and Rebekah stiffened then. "You what?"

"I killed Henrik." Bodie repeated. "His blood covered my hands when I shifted back, like I'd dipped them in tubs of blood. I remember the way that Henrik screamed that night, it's all that ran through my head for years—it still does." His voice cracked. "I remember my sister finding me in the woods and trying to comfort me when she realised the amount of blood that covered my hands and my face." He could feel the way that his cheeks became wet. "There was so much blood and I—" He shuddered. "I couldn't see you or talk to any of you because it haunted me and dragged me with so much guilt."

When he looked back up to both Klaus and Rebekah, he noticed the look on their face, that pain that was in their eyes. The pain and the anger that came into their eyes was something that pained Bodie far more than anything else. Bodie wondered whether that now would be the good time to leave and run off. He knew that he needed to stay and talk to them, but at the same time he was afraid of that they would do.

Bodie knew that he was just. . .pathetic. This was something that needed to be done and he wanted to run. He wondered if his father would view of him as pathetic for wanting to run away from the truth. Bodie straightened his back and found himself staring at both Rebekah and Klaus, despite the fact that he was crying, he knew that this was something that he needed to do, that he wanted to do.

"You did what?" Rebekah asked. There was something about the way that Rebekah stared at him that reminded him that she was never like Ingrid and that Rebekah was someone that he needed to be afraid of.

"I killed your baby brother on the night of a full moon and cursed all of us to become this." Bodie explained once more. "I slaughtered Henrik where he stood when he wanted to see my people turn."

Klaus' face twisted with anger and Bodie found himself pinned against the wall by Klaus, Klaus who held Bodie by the neck and was seething in anger. Bodie wanted to say that he felt like he wanted to panic but knew better, he forced anything and everything down as if it didn't exist. He knew that this was something that he deserved more than anything.

Bodie knew that whatever Klaus was about to do to him was something that he deserved. For a thousand years, he had this guilt consume him and keep him up of a night, and now he's finally admitted to them the very sin that destroyed his life. He wondered whether or not he wasted his time planning to help protect himself.

He killed Henrik Mikaelson and now he's confessed.
