34; the ball of mikaelson and erikson

Chapter Thirty-Four
『the ball of mikaelson and erikson』

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Bodie wasn't sure what was going on in his mind, but all that he could think about was the intense panic that he found himself in when he thought about the fact that not only were the rest of the Mikaelson siblings back but also Esther. Between everything, he found himself not knowing what to do for once in his life. He knew that there was a chance that he would overstay his welcome now that the rest of the siblings were back, and although there was a small part of him that wanted to go back to Henry and Will, he knew that there was a chance that they wouldn't like it despite the house belonging to Bodie as a whole.

Though, Klaus basically made Bodie stay at the Mikaelson household, despite what Bodie was feeling. Bodie knew that there was a chance that Klaus knew what he was feeling, he was sure that his heart gave it away—either that or the fact that Klaus could probably read him. At one point, Bodie wondered whether or not it was safe for him to stay here, given his promise to Rebekah and Klaus, he knew that if he stayed, they'd want to know what he's been hiding. And that was the main cause of his own panic.

Bodie tried not to panic or stress over anything, knowing that he needed to put up a front, but he found it rather hard. There was a small part of him that wanted to go running in the woods in his other form in hopes to calm down, but he knew that there was a chance that it would send up a red flag for Klaus to know that Bodie was worrying. How could he not worry? Esther was back, as were everyone else.

A part of him knew that there was more, that there was a part of him that wondered why Esther could come back to the land of the living and Bodie's mother couldn't. He knew that he shouldn't worry about such things, but the child within him found it unfair. He wanted his mother with him, to guide him through what he should do now, and he couldn't have that, but the Mikaelson's could. He wanted to slaughter everyone because of such a thing. Was this another curse for him to bare? Why was life cruel to him but somewhat kind to the rest of the Mikaelson's? Was this the consequence that he had to face continually because of the boy he killed?

Bodie found himself sat in some form of daze on an armchair, his legs over one of the sides. Rebekah was getting her nails done, Finn was having his suit tailored on him, Kol was looking at himself in the mirror while his suit was getting fitted. Elijah was basically inspecting his shoe though Bodie couldn't tell why, he wondered if Elijah was looking to see if they hadn't been scuffed or anything.

"Rebekah," Kol said, "tell me how handsome I am."

"Oh, Kol, you know I can't be compelled." Rebekah responded.

Bodie somewhat smiled at that, though he found himself jumping slightly when Klaus slammed the door open as he came walking in. Though, by this time, Bodie would argue that Klaus just struts everywhere, which was some form of distraction for Bodie at times if he wasn't so stressed."

"You went after Elena?" Klaus asked. For a minute, Bodie wondered who he was talking to though realised that there was a chance that he meant Rebekah. When he walked towards Rebekah, it confirmed his thoughts. "What is wrong with you?"

"Here we go." Rebekah said with a grin as if she was proud of what she done.

"Do you want another dagger in your heart?" Klaus asked.

"Again, with the dagger threats?" Kol asked, as if he was over everything with the daggers. "Don't you have other tricks?"

Klaus turned to his younger brother. "Oh, go back to staring at yourself."

"And, who are you, my father?" Kol shot back.

"No, Kol." Klaus stated. "But you are in my house."

Kol stood up from where he'd previously been sat at, walking towards his brother. "Then perhaps we should go outside."

Esther came walking into the room as if she'd heard the commotion. "Enough!" She joined her hands in front of her. "Niklaus. Come."

Klaus walked out of the room, following his mother. For a moment, Bodie considered whether or not he should use this as an excuse to try and leave, but he knew that he would have to explain where he was going to the rest of the siblings even still. So, Bodie stayed put, not wanting to bring attention to himself.

"Bodie," Rebekah began. Bodie shut his eyes, a part of him wondered whether or not he should pretend to be asleep. "Do you plan to stay here for the ball?"

Bodie shrugged. "Maybe." He looked in the direction where Klaus went to talk to his mother. "Depends on the person who I invite to be my date."

"I'd reconsider Niklaus, given you almost put the stake through his heart." Elijah commented.

Bodie mimicked him to mock him, which Bodie earned a slap at the back of the head. "Ow." He muttered, rubbing his head, and giving Elijah a glare. "Well, depends on if you want a jealous Klaus, Elijah." He tilted his head up to look at the man. "We both know what he's like no matter if I did go to stake him."

"You almost staked Nik?" Kol asked, there was a small smile on his face. "How'd you manage to get hold of it?"

Bodie shrugged. "Your father had two, I suspect he wanted one to use on me, and I stole it."

"After a thousand years, you two are still dating?" Finn inquired. "I thought Klaus would have killed you by now."

Bodie rubbed his face. "I wish he did."

"He can't kill you until you tell us your secrets, Bodie, you promised." Rebekah added.

Kol looked at Rebekah with a somewhat surprised look. "Bodie has secrets?" He looked back towards Bodie with a slightly open mouth. "Do tell."

Bodie gave Rebekah a look as if he planned to kill Rebekah. "I hate you, blondie." He returned to looking up at the ceiling. "Yes, Kol, I have secrets to do with this family. All will be shared in due time."

Rebekah threw a pillow at Bodie. "Now!"

"Now, uuh." Bodie mimicked. "Shush. They're my secrets to tell."

"Really?" Rebekah asked. "Will admitted some amazing stuff about how long you've been a werewolf. How about there?"

Kol seemed to straighten himself then. "Oh really? He triggered his curse?"

"Bekah, if you please!" Bodie hissed. He somewhat sighed. "Yes, Kol, I triggered it. But I'm not going to tell you how old I was, yet. Now if you please could shut the fuck up about it, that would be fantastic."

He found himself standing up, moving to leave. "Where you going, Bodie?" Elijah called out after him.

"Proving a point that Klaus is going to get jealous when he sees my date." Bodie stated and left.

Bodie knew that Klaus wasn't going to have him come to the ball with him. Though he saw his last name on the invitation slightly smaller than the Mikaelson's, he knew that there was a chance that Klaus wasn't going to choose him. And that was something that he didn't want to think much about. As much as he wished that Klaus would have him as his date, he knew that given everything and given that they hadn't truly rekindled their relationship, Klaus would probably chose someone else.

So, Bodie thought that instead of wishing for Klaus to ask him or actually asking Klaus, Bodie debated on two people who he might want to invite. There was a small part of him that wondered whether or not he should actually invite anyone, knowing how Klaus would get, but at the same time he knew that if he were to not invite anyone, he would get jealous over Klaus.

Bodie just got to his car and went to open it before Klaus decided to close the door for him before Bodie had the chance to get in. Bodie found himself glaring at Klaus, wondering as to why Klaus decided to stop him. As much as he hoped that Klaus would ask him to the ball, he knew that he wouldn't, despite all the little prays in his head that Klaus would.

"What Klaus?" Bodie asked.

"You're coming to the Ball, right?" Klaus questioned.

"I don't have a choice whether or not I do, your mother made it clear that she wanted me there as much as you." Bodie told. Esther had brought him into a quiet room and basically debated with him for at least an hour on him going to the ball, which Bodie eventually agreed to mainly because something felt off when Esther was talking to him. Like there was something that she knew and was trying to use over his head, which ultimately made Bodie agree into coming.

"Fantastic." Klaus said.

Bodie sighed. "I know I'm not going to be your date, Klaus."

Klaus gave him a look, and Bodie so wished that his feelings didn't get in the way of everything. "Who says that I'm not?"

Bodie gave him a hard look. "You've known about this ball for a while, and yet you still haven't. I'm sure that all your other siblings have dates, and I've waited for so long for you to ask and you haven't."

Klaus shrugged. "Well, you could have simply asked."

Bodie groaned slightly in frustration. "I know you would have said no. And I know that there's a chance you've already got someone else in mind. We might not be on good terms, but I thought—" he cut himself off, he realised what he must sound like to Klaus. He knew that he sounded desperate for Klaus' attention or forgiveness, and a part of him cursed at him for being those things for Klaus. He knew that Klaus wouldn't forgive him for almost killing him and given what he'd done and the fact that he knew how Klaus would react, he knew that Klaus was bound to hate everything about him.

There was a smile on Klaus' face, one that reminded Bodie of what life was like when they weren't vampires and that was something that Bodie hated more than anything. "You thought that given that we've worked together, I might have changed my mind on you."

Bodie nodded, he knew that if he were to open his mouth once more to speak, that there was a chance that he wouldn't shut up. The last thing that he wanted was to ramble about how desperate he was for Klaus' attention and love. And he did before the love got tainted by revengeful hatred. He swallowed down his feelings. "Look, if you don't want to go to the ball together, then just say and I'll just ask someone else to."

Klaus rose his hand and stroked the side of Bodie's face, a movement that Klaus used to do to him that always made him comfortable. "Is this what your plan was? Invite someone else and make me jealous?"

"Would it work if I did?" Bodie asked before he could stop himself. As close as he was to asking someone else, a part of him felt as if he were almost proud that he'd somewhat asked Klaus without fully asking him. If this ball was going to be one of the few times that they see each other happy, then that's what Bodie wanted the most. For it to be the memory of them being happy together before everything goes to shit.

"It would've." Klaus stated. "Given that you've been more than willing to betray your brother for me. You've shown me that you've cared multiple times despite all that you've hidden from me."

"So?" Bodie asked, slightly confused. "Does this mean that we're going separate or together? Would you rather explore your chances with other people or not?"

Klaus gave him a look, there was a smile on his face and Bodie thought that there was a chance that Klaus was going to mock him for ever considering that they'd go to the ball together. "We can go together. I want to go with you, Bodie."

Bodie felt the way that his heart sped up, the way that his anxious brain seemed to relax upon hearing those words. "You do?" Though, he knew what he heard, there was still a part of Bodie that worried just in case his hearing decided to stop working.

"I do, Bodie." Klaus said with a nod.

Bodie found himself looking down with a smile. There were moments where he wondered whether or not Klaus was ever going to forgive him for what he did, and he felt like that this was the start of Klaus forgiving him for that. Though, he knew that this wasn't going to last, that Bodie was going to obliviate everything in such a short amount of time. Now that Kol and Finn know that Bodie has secrets about the family that he needs to share, they're all going to beg Bodie to know. He was running out of time, and he knew that, but he just wanted to be happy for a short while until then.

"I guess I'll have to get another suit that would be up to a decent standard." Bodie stated with a half-smile.

Klaus gave him a smile that Bodie knew was for just him and Bodie knew that by such a simple action would cause his stomach to flip like it would always do when Klaus gave him that smile. Bodie knew that there was something that he needed to worry about, but he didn't care, why should he?

"Be back in time for the ball?" Klaus asked.

Bodie winked. "Of course."

Klaus gave him a look. "Your brothers have been invited, by the way, and I'm sure they're bringing dates with them."

Bodie nodded. "I'm surprised that they were invited."

"They're your family, Bodie." Klaus stated. "I wanted to make sure that they were."

Bodie somewhat froze for a moment before he then smiled. "Thank you, Klaus."

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

When Henry got the invite, plus another with a little note inside telling him that it can be for anyone he wanted, he knew who he wanted to bring. As much as he knew that there was a chance that he was overstepping a boundary, Henry knew that he wanted to make sure that she had a night she could remember, one that could be happy between everything that's happened. On top of that, Henry had basically raided Bodie's room for anything nice, he knew that Bodie owned some nice dresses that he'd bought for women that held interest in him.

It didn't take him long to find what looked like a nice blue-purple dress, one that made him think of her. He knew that there was a chance that he was being pathetic, that there was a chance that she wouldn't come, but Henry thought that he should at least try. With everything that was going on, he wanted to make sure that she was happy. He ended up texting Tyler to make sure that it was okay, given everything that was going on, which made his doubt worse given that he cursed over himself knowing that there was a chance that he crossed a line.

Though, when Tyler called him to talk about it, Henry thought that it was the worse idea that he could have. Tyler let Henry explain that it would be purely platonic, that he had no interest in Caroline whatsoever, though that was somewhat of a lie, but after a while, Tyler seemed somewhat comfortable with the idea and that it was Henry that was doing it rather than anyone else.

Henry managed to find a box to put the dress in and within a quick moment, he managed to write a little note on the second invite, saying, 'Up for a dance or two? – Henry' on the back. There was a part of him that wondered whether or not that was something that he should put before he then shook his head and pushed passed those thoughts.

He delivered the box and invite to Caroline's door, knocked, and then left. There was a part of him that knew that he couldn't face Caroline fully as she opened everything, so he thought that leaving it on her doorstep was something right. Of course, there was that one thought in the back of his mind that told him that he should have stayed.

He shook his head, he hadn't felt like this towards someone in so long. And it was because of these feelings that he felt somewhat angry at himself knowing that Tyler and Caroline were in a relationship. As much as he knew that he wasn't close with Tyler, he knew that there was a chance that he shouldn't allow himself to feel these towards his friend's girlfriend. He tried to shut his feelings off, or at least keep them as far back as possible, but he knew that he couldn't flip his switch fully, that flipping the switch off wouldn't have its full affect like it used to.

By the time that he got back to his home, he was surprised when he found that Bodie was inside the home. For a while, Bodie hadn't been back, said that he was staying with the Mikaelson's because Klaus wanted him to. Although Henry had been helping Bodie keep tabs on the coffin and anything else, there was still a large part of him that wanted to kill Bodie for initially ruining any chance of getting rid of Klaus. And though Bodie had explained the situation and why he did what he did, Henry couldn't help but still be so goddamn angry about it all. There were times when Henry hated Bodie's loyalty to certain commitments.

Though, when he looked at Bodie know, Henry couldn't help but feel as if Bodie was about to die of happiness, which also means that what he was about to hear was either going to be the best thing to ever happen or the worst thing that he's going to hear. Ironically, Henry thought that it was going to be both, but he was mainly leaning towards it being something that he was going to hate having to listen to.

"Bodie!" Henry hesitantly greeted. "What are you doing here? I thought that you were with the Mikaelson's now that they're all undaggered."

Once Bodie turned to look at Henry, there was a sense of dread that filled him. There was a huge smile on his face and Henry knew the cause of it without Bodie having to say anything. He closed his eyes for a brief second, knowing that everything within this town was bound to be worse if it was what he thought it was.

"I came here to look through my suits and possibly get a new suit for the ball at the Mikaelson's." He explained.

"That doesn't tell me why you're here." Henry stated.

Bodie gave him a look. "Most of my clothes are here, including my suits."

"Is that why you're so happy?" Henry asked.

Bodie somewhat looked down at that, though the smile on his face was clear. There were times when Henry forgot that Bodie was over a thousand years old and was a man and not a sixteen-year-old girl who got asked out by her crush. "Klaus asked me to be his date for tonight."

Henry groaned. "Oh god." He knew it! He knew that it had something to do with Klaus! "Please don't tell me your thinking about getting together with him once more!"

Bodie shook his head. "I'm not. It's just all the siblings know that I have secrets to tell, and I know that the ball is going to be one of the last remaining happy moments that I will get with them before it gets all fucked by telling them what I did to Henrik." He shrugs then. "I know it's stupid, but they're like family, my unofficial in-laws. And once I tell them the truth, it's going to ruin everything that I've ever known. They're my last tie to the humanity that I once had and I want to be able to remember the happier times, like the ball."

Henry sighed. There were moments where Henry forgot how long Bodie's known the siblings and felt awful for everything Bodie's ever done and what will eventually happen. Given he already knew what Rebekah done to Elena, he was sure that it was going to be so much worse for Bodie. They are his family just as much as both himself and William are, and if Bodie lost them—which he will—then it was going to ruin Bodie. And that was something that he didn't want to see, even though he knew that Bodie would need his support.

"You know you're just gonna hurt yourself more." Henry said. He couldn't help but feel hurt on his behalf.

"I'm aware." Bodie stated. "But I feel like I need this. At least for now." When Bodie looked back up, all Henry could feel was heartbreak on behalf of Bodie. "I know it's going to ruin me, but I just need this temporary happiness, at least for a short while before it all goes to shit."

Henry sighed and came up to Bodie. Despite all that he felt when it came to Bodie, there was always going to be a part of him that cared for Bodie as if the hybrid was his older brother. The small voice in his head wanted to scream at Bodie for doing this and although he understood to some degree, Henry knew that it was going to be both him and Will that will have to build Bodie back up again and that was something that he didn't want to do. Not because he didn't love Bodie, but because this was going to be the worst thing that Bodie would ever have to come back from.

He wasn't going to be ready for the amount of times that the Mikaelson's would try and kill Bodie for what he done, the amount of times that they were going to have to fight against the siblings. In all honesty, Henry was terrified for his life. As much as he knew that he had magic on his side, he was afraid that it wouldn't be enough, that there was a chance that even one of the siblings could get past him and kill him. He could handle taking down one Original, but taking down multiple was something that he knew was going to be a struggle.

He was afraid for Will, too, knowing that despite all of Will's strength and power, even he could die at the hands of one of the siblings. He wasn't sure how much he and Will could siphon out of the Mikaelson's before it could kill them, hell, he wasn't sure if he could die in the process, that is if he chooses to ignore the fact that there was a possibility that any one of them could kill him while in the process of siphoning. The more that he thought about it, the more that he realised that there was a chance that neither Henry nor Will could actually siphon them all to death—was that a possibility? It was something that he didn't want to think about.

"Bodie, as much as I know that you want temporary happiness, you need to be aware on how much this is going to ruin you." Henry tried to lightly explain. "I've seen you when Klaus broke up with you all those times before, and this is going to be something different. This is going to be you losing them all."

Bodie gave him a hard look. "You think I don't know that? I'm aware on how much this is going to kill me once I tell them all. I hate that I'm going to have to tell them, and I hate that there's nothing I can do in order to change that. What I hate the most is that I know that their hate is going to be permanent." He dry laughed then. "You know what's worse? It's the fact there's a part of me that feels the need to reach out to Katerina in hopes to get some tips on how she managed to hide from Klaus for so long."

Henry somewhat sighed. "Bodie—"

"Don't, Henry, please." Bodie said. His sad brown eyes always pissed Henry off. "As much as I know what I'm doing is wrong, I know that this is what I feel like I need."

Henry didn't say anything, he just nodded.

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Between everything that Bodie tried to do in such a short amount of time, he almost forgot to leave on time in order to get to the ball on time. He'd ended up getting another suit tailored to him, despite the amount of suits that he's already got, he flet like he needed something else. As much as he knew that it was just a suit, all that was going through his head was the fact that it was Klaus that had actually asked him to go with him.

He knew that he was being childish and holding onto the past that no longer existed, but all he truly wanted was a moment of happiness before he decided to crush it. He thought over what Henry had said and how much he knew that everything was true, how this was going to ruin him, but he wanted to stay in his bubble of denial and ignorance just for a little longer.

At one point, he'd gotten a text from Klaus to ask if he was on his way, which Bodie told him that he was. He'd promised Henry and Will—who decided to show up—to drive them both to the ball with him. Of course, Henry told Will everything about their conversation and how Klaus asked to be his date, which lead to Will arguing with Bodie about everything he's ever done which made Bodie wonder whether or not he should do anything of the sorts, which pissed him off a lot more than expected.

However, the one thing that Bodie didn't expect to hear was how Henry had invited Caroline to the ball as well, how he chose her to be his plus one. As much as Bodie was happy for him, there was a small part of him that wondered whether or not all of this was fine with Tyler, which Henry said that it was which made him somewhat relax. Bodie knew how much Henry's newfound friendships mattered to him the most.

By the time that they arrived, the ball had already started. As much as he knew that he should've been here earlier in order to greet everyone with the Mikaelson's there was a small part of him that was rather glad that they came when they did, given that he wasn't sure whether or not he could deal with greeting people and forcing a smile on his face. Although, he knew that the chance of his smile being fake was a little lie, knowing that he was here as Klaus' date.

"Come on, asshole." Will stated. Both Will and Henry already got out of the car and was waiting for Bodie to come out.

"You have a specific old boyfriend of yours to please." Henry mocked.

Bodie shook his head with a grin. He got out of his car, locking it, before getting Henry in a headlock. "You're such an annoying little shit."

Henry laughed, though made multiple attempts to get out of the headlock as they walked towards the front door. "Let go of me, asshole! You know I'm right! You want to please him."

Bodie didn't let go. "No, I think I'll keep you like this the entire night."

Will sighed and wrapped an arm around Bodie. "You know, this is meant to be a ball to welcome the Original family and their Original friend, maybe having Henry in a headlock wouldn't be wise."

Bodie loosened the headlock just enough to allow Henry to stand straight. He looked at Will. "I'm about to go into this ball and dance with another man, Will, my only concern is how others react." As much as he knew that he was this all-powerful hybrid that can compel everyone to not judge, he was too used to the social norms over the past thousand years when it came to it, even when he tried to ignore it, he found that at times it bothered him.

"Is that what you're worried about?" Will asked.

"Whose worried about what?" Klaus asked, coming up to the trio.

Bodie found himself staring at Klaus, for a moment, he decided on what he should say, but found that nothing could come out. He'd known that Klaus was always attractive, but it was something that he always found he tried to ignore, but his excitement over the fact that Klaus asked him to be his date made him not have the energy to fight against his own thoughts.

"Oh, nothing." Henry told, straightening himself more if it was possible. "We held Bodie up a little and he was getting stressed about being here when you asked—you know, as his date for tonight."

Klaus somewhat smiled as if this was something that amused him. "Am I sensing a little distrust?"

Bodie somewhat snapped into reality. "No, you're not. Is he, Henry?" He looked towards his friend who shook his head. "I'm already late, Klaus, shall we?"

Klaus held out his arm and Bodie took it. The pair of them walked further into the home and into the ball. As much as he knew that he was somewhat familiar with some faces, there was still this little panic that everyone knew. Of course, he knew that certain people knew like those that were important, but. . .he shook his head, wanting nothing more than to rid his mind of those thoughts.

"Is everything okay, Bodie?" Klaus asked. "You've seemed off since my family came back."

Bodie nodded. He didn't want to tell Klaus the truth—not about what he done, but about the fact that all he wants is his own family despite that he knew they wouldn't be able to come back. He didn't want to burden Klaus with his own issues when it comes to seeing the Mikaelson's all back together, knowing that this is what Klaus wanted for so long. Not only that, but he felt a little odd with Esther being here, like there's a chance that she knows something that she's not meant to, or something that Bodie's done that he hasn't been honest about.

"I'm all good, Klaus." Bodie assured. "Does anyone else know that I'm your date or was this a surprise for your siblings?"

Klaus somewhat smiled, though Bodie knew that Klaus wasn't glad on Bodie lying to him. Bodie hated that Klaus could tell at times when he was lying. "I think they already knew that you and I were going to be each other's dates."

Bodie tried to hide his laugh which caused Klaus to give him a look. "I told your siblings that I was going to get another date to make you jealous."

Klaus hummed. "Now I vagally remember our conversation earlier before I asked you to be mine."

Bodie somewhat smiled. He knew that he shouldn't get used to this, but it was so easy to fall back into being with Klaus that at times it was hard for Bodie to keep up. It was hard for him to notice when they were acting as if they were simply friends or if they were dating. It was something that was annoying in some way, and he knew that there was a chance that he should just distance himself before he makes himself feel worse once he tells Klaus the truth.

"Does this mean that we're on good-ish terms now?" Bodie asked. "Or are you still planning to kill me for what I did?"

Klaus titled his head slightly, acting as if he was lost in his thoughts for just a moment. "I might have to reconsider my plans to get back at you. But for now, I can easily say that you're on my good-ish side."

Bodie grinned. "Fantastic." He took champaign off of a passing waiter before looking around. "You lot really outdo yourselves every time there's a ball."

"Well, you can thank my mother for this." Klaus said. "Though I suppose it's a nice welcoming for the rest of my family into our home once more."

Bodie somewhat hummed then. "My mother would have loved this. All the dresses, the music, and the festivities."

As much as Bodie knew that he shouldn't speak of his family because of how it affect him at times, just for a small moment, he found himself wishing that she were here with him once more. A part of Bodie wanted to know if her ghost was here at least, watching from a place that she can't interact with.

"I'm sure she would've." Klaus assured with a weak smile.

Elijah came over to them after having a dance with someone. "Ah, Bodie, I'm glad that you could join us at last." There was this joyful look on Elijah's face and Bodie knew what was coming. "I don't see this supposed date to make my brother jealous."

Bodie rolled his eyes. "Depending," he turned to Klaus, "do you get jealous over yourself, Klaus?"

Klaus smiled though shrugged. "Can't say I do."

Elijah just shook his head. "I expected the pair of you to at least come here together."

Bodie found himself groaning. "Please don't give me this big brother speech. I don't think I can deal with it sober."

"Come." Klaus said.

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Henry wasn't sure how long the pair of them were at this ball, but at one point, Henry lost Will which meant that he found himself talking to various people in hopes to distract himself from worrying over the fact that he wondered whether or not Caroline was going to show up. He knew that he shouldn't worry over such a thing, but he found that it was all that he could think about.

For a while, he wondered whether or not all of this was just a joke and that there was a chance that he needed to go, but thankfully he decided to stay given that after a while, he spotted Caroline coming into the room with the dress that he got her. He found himself staring at her in somewhat wonder as if she were all that he could see.

He found that his hands grew sweaty as if he were nervous over something that he shouldn't be and he was sure that his heart was racing. He didn't know why his body was acting the way that it was, but all that he knew was that Caroline was stunning and a part of him was glad that he invited her. She was always nice to him, and he thought that she deserved to come to this ball after all that she's been to.

Henry found himself walking up towards her and smiled slightly. "Hi, Caroline." God, even his voice sounded weird to him. He was rather glad that Will left him, he would have died if Will saw him and how he was acting.

"Henry." She greeted. There was a small smile on her face though Henry wondered if she felt as awkward as he did. "I need a drink."

She walked passed him and for a moment Henry wondered whether or not he should follow. But ultimately, he decided that there was a chance that she didn't want to interact with him properly, which was something that Henry would be fine with despite the small voice in his head that told him that this was just two friends hanging out at a ball for the most dangerous family to exist.

Bodie wasn't sure how much time had passed but he found himself enjoying himself more than he thought he would've. As much as he knew that he was worried just in case Klaus turned on him throughout the night, he found that being within Klaus' company and acting as if they had always been together and joyful was something that Bodie enjoyed more than anything.

He found himself forgetting about most of the times that they broke up for pathetic reasons, he found himself wondering whether or not there was going to be chance for them to be together once more which he knew was something that he shouldn't think but he couldn't help it. Klaus was somewhat of a delight in his life, and to laugh and joke like how they used to was something that meant the world to him.

Though, their jokes had to be cut short when Elijah and Klaus caught eyes and Klaus dragged him to the staircase where the rest of the Mikaelson siblings had joined. It felt odd to Bodie that he was joining them for this, and although he knew the way that they viewed him, there was still a large part of him that felt like he didn't fit in fully. Though, he was glad that he wasn't watching from the sidelines and was up in front with the rest of them.

"If everyone could gather please." Elijah called out to the party.

Bodie was stood between both Elijah and Klaus, though he was mainly leaning against the railing with a champagne glass in hand. He looked out towards the many faces below him and he found the way that Elena was looking up at him and Bodie couldn't help but smile slightly. He could see Will and noticed the way that Will rose a glass to him with a grin on his face.

"Welcome." Elijah continued. "Thank you for joining us." It took Bodie a moment to realise that Esther came and joined them on the stairs. "You know, whenever my mother brings our family and friend together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance."

Bodie noticed the way that the Salvatore's subtly tried to talk together in the crowed though found that he had no use to try and listen in in order to figure stuff out because he found that he no longer cared as a whole what they were planning.

"Tonight's pick is a centuries-old waltz." Elijah continued. "So, if all of you could find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom."

They all moved and Bodie found himself offering his hand to Klaus who willingly took it. Hand-in-hand the pair of them walked towards the ballroom, and Bodie could hear the slight snickering of Kol behind them who was commenting on them—of course, it was normal for Kol, knowing that Kol always found a way to joke about specific things, including Bodie and Klaus' complicated relationship.

It didn't take them all long to get into the ballroom and set up for the first dance. Both Klaus and Bodie were beside Rebekah and Matt for the dance. It started with two strides forward in two lines, and then they turned, bowed slightly, and took a few steps forward. Bodie could feel Klaus' warm hands in his own and that was the only thing that he found that he could focus on as a whole.

They passed those in the other line, and Bodie caught a grin from Henry who was dancing with Caroline and Bodie winked at him. A few more steps before lining up straight once more and Bodie found himself looking at Klaus before realising that Klaus was already looking at him. He found himself looking away, knowing the way that he normally gets whenever he notices Klaus looking at him. Klaus was the one to make Bodie turn under his arm and found himself rolling his eyes in a joking manner knowing that he was going to get Klaus back the next dance.

When he turned and faced Klaus again, he placed a hand on Klaus' shoulder while Klaus' own hand rested on his lower back under his blazer. Bodie found himself shaking his head as they sidestepped and went in circles. Bodie found himself remembering the steps at last, realising after a while that he'd almost forgotten how to dance like this.

"My Bodie." Klaus muttered. "I couldn't have done this without you by my side."

Bodie half-smiled. "We both know that you done basically everything."

Klaus hummed. "Well, I can't take all the credit. You had use to me."

"I always have use to you when needed, K." Bodie said.

They continued the movements for a little while longer before Klaus broke their silence once more. "Is that the ring I gave you, two centuries ago?"

Bodie found himself smiling. "Now you finally notice." He lightly chuckled. "Yes. It is. Thought it was time to get it out once more."

"I forgot how good you look with a ring on." Klaus said as if he spoke without thinking.

"And I forgot how good you are in a suit." Bodie shot back.

They pulled back, their hands still touching, and it was Bodie's turn to make Klaus go under his arm which Klaus almost hesitantly did, though gave Bodie a smile once Bodie drew Klaus back in once more. He'd almost forgotten what it was like to have Klaus this close to him and he was rather glad that he was with Klaus for this ball and not anyone else.

Although, both Klaus and Bodie knew that they needed to switch partners through this dance, they found that they'd rather stay with one another, and it seemed as if Caroline and Henry stayed together as well. Now that he took notice of Henry and Caroline, he noticed the way that the pair of them were laughing and joking together as if they'd been friends for their entire life and Bodie found himself feeling proud of Henry.

"Focus, Bo." Klaus instructed.

Bodie looked back at Klaus and grinned. "Sorry."

"It's quite fine." Klaus stated. "Is that your mother's necklace on Caroline?"

"Yes." Bodie admitted. "I thought that my mother would like if I gave it to someone."

Klaus gave him a hard look. "Do you like her?"

Bodie tilted his head slightly. "She's nice, Klaus. And unlike you, I try and make friends." He pulled Klaus closer to him, leaning into whisper in his ear. "But you know where my heart lays, Klaus, and where it always returns."

He flet the way that Klaus lifted his chin and for a moment, he thought that he felt the way that Klaus ran his hand up and down Bodie's back. "Good."

Bodie didn't say anything, realising that he had no idea what else to say. After a while, the dance concluded, and Bodie wondered whether or not Klaus would want to go somewhere else and talk to someone else, but when he realised that Klaus stayed by his side, he found himself smiling slightly. He wasn't sure as to what to expect, but he supposed that there was a chance that after a while, Klaus would grow bored of him.

Klaus drew Bodie off of the dancefloor, though his hand remained on Bodie's lower back. At one-point Bodie caught sight of Rebekah who was grinning at him and shaking her head at the pair of them, as if she knew that the pair of them would be each other's dance partner. As much as Bodie knew that this wasn't going to last, he still found comfort into knowing that despite knowing how fucked everything might be between him and Klaus, there was still hope that they might find their way back to each other.

"Bodie," Klaus muttered, causing Bodie to turn his focus onto him. "What's on your mind?"

Bodie shrugged, somewhat smiling. "Just thinking about everything."

"Do I need to worry about you planning to backstab me once more?" Klaus asked, giving him a look.

Bodie shook his head. "That's not something you need to worry about. I have no plan of the sort unless that's something that you plan to do to me."

"No," Klaus muttered. "I wouldn't do that, after all, we're all back together at a place we once called home. I hope that we can go back to how life once was as who we are now."

Bodie tried to hide the pain that he was in, he knew that they wouldn't be able to get that, he knew that they wouldn't be able to act as they once were, because Bodie knew that he was going to ruin it all soon, and that was something that he wasn't looking forward to. He knew that he was going to ruin anything that Klaus hoped to have, but that was something that he was going to have to live with. Bodie swallowed. "Hopefully we can, we're different people than what we once were, maybe we might end up killing each other simply because of our anger."

Klaus gave him an odd look. "I wouldn't want to kill you, Bodie. As much as I want to get back at you for what you've done to me in the past, I hope that we can move past that, start anew. Move forward." He tilted his head slightly. "Our anger might get the better of us at times, but I hope that this time will be different. We'll have to be different this time, Bodie."

"I want it to be different this time, Klaus." Bodie stated. "But with all that's happened in this town already, and what's bound to happen, I'm sure that there's a chance that it would fuck everything up."

"Is this your way of breaking up with me without us being together?" There was a clear smile on Klaus' lips, one that made Bodie just shake his head and smile.

"That's not what I'm trying to do." Bodie muttered.

"It's your secrets, isn't it?" Klaus asked. "The one you promised my sister you would share?"

Bodie nodded. "I promised that I would tell you all, and I intend to tell you and stick by my promise. I guess you can say that I'm overthinking all of this."

"Then," Klaus held his hand out, "take a walk with me, clear your head."

Henry had wondered where Caroline had gone after the dance was over. He'd gone to get them both something to drink and when he turned back around she was gone. Henry asked Matt where she was gone, given that he remembered how Caroline wanted to talk to him, but Matt was unsure on where she'd gone off to. He knew that he didn't have to worry about anything, that Caroline could protect herself, but there was still a small part of him that just wondered where she vanished to.

He noticed that Elena, Damon, and Stefan had all disappeared at one point, though he found that he didn't much care about where they could've gone. He shook his head, still with a drink in hand for Caroline, as he went outside, where he noticed how close Bodie and Klaus were being with one another that gave him a sense of dread forming over him.

Henry tried not to think about anything when it came to Klaus and Bodie and their annoying relationship, his main focus was wanting to make sure that Caroline had a nice night. That was all that he wanted. He found himself walking down a path to where he found Caroline standing beside a horse, gazing at it as if it was the only thing that mattered.

"There you are," Henry said. "I was looking for you."

Caroline looked at him while he held out the drink that was still in his hand. She muttered a thanks before retuning her attention back to the horse. "You know, I'm still questioning as to why you invited me here, Henry. And why you gave me this dress."

Henry found himself looking down as if this was something that he didn't want to talk about. "I invited you because I like you, Caroline." She gave him a look. "Is it that hard to believe that I might just fancy you?"

"Yes." Caroline stated.

He knew that he shouldn't feel hurt over it, but something within him stung. He wasn't used to doing this, and there was a moment where he wondered whether or not he should be doing this just as a whole. "Why? You've been nothing but kind to me, even when you knew who I aligned myself with. You're. . .you're amazing, Caroline. And I like that and everything about you."

Caroline gave him a look though tilted her head. "I'm sorry, but I'm taken for, as you know, by Tyler."

"I know." Henry said with a sigh. "I know, it's just a part of me thought that something was going on between you and Tyler—not that I would step in if anything were or wasn't, but I just wanted to do something nice for you. To give you something to remember after everything that's happened."

"Something is happening, but you can thank your brother's boyfriend for that." Caroline stated. "But I appreciate this, Henry."

Henry nodded and smiled slightly. He knew that there was a chance that he wasn't going to win Caroline over, and that was something that he was fine with. He tried and it felt as if she rejected him, so he wanted to. . .back off enough so it wasn't too overbearing for her. The last thing that he wanted to do was come off weird after everything.

He ended up gazing at the horse. "You know, horses were always my favourite animal. Loyal, friendly, kind." He found himself looking down once more. "Horses were always my way to escape my father and his punishment for what I was born as, and he hated that I always found a way to escape him and his wrath because I used someone else's magic to use as my own. Until one day, he. . .killed all the horses we owned, to prove a point."

"Did you consider just talking to him about all of this?" Caroline asked.

Henry gave her a small sad look. "I don't think it would have worked. I made attempts to talk to him before immortality, but he was too close-minded to even consider changing."

Caroline didn't say anything and for a moment, Henry wondered whether or not he said something wrong, but he realised that everything he ever said was wrong. He knew that he wanted to come to this ball with Caroline simply as friends and yet, just for a moment, he let everything within him come up and possibly ruin anything that he had with Caroline. He hoped that she didn't view him as weird or anything, he wasn't sure if that was something that he would enjoy.

"I do like horses," Caroline said after a moment. "And I also like that we're friends, Henry, so if it's okay with you, I'd like to stay that way for now, and ask you if you want to join me back inside."

Henry smiled. "Of course."

Bodie managed to detach himself form Klaus, given that Klaus found himself preoccupied by talking to others at the ball, though Bodie wasn't much interested in talking to anyone that didn't hold much value in is eyes. Though he knew that it was something to be polite with, Bodie couldn't bring himself to be polite much.

He found Kol standing by himself, watching as his sister left and Bodie found himself smiling slightly, feeling that there was something that was missing which lead him to walk towards Kol. Kol took notice of Bodie and didn't seem all that pleased as a whole with having Bodie come up to him.

"What do you want, Bodie?" Kol asked.

Bodie smiled though tried to hide it. "Oh, nothing, just wondering what's going on with you. I've seen you and Rebekah whispering." He fake gasped. "Are you planning something? Is it someone's murder?"

"Now that's something that I wouldn't want to share with you, Erikson." Kol glared at him.

"There's no need to be so rude, Mikaelson, I thought that we were friends." Bodie grinned. It was like debating with his siblings which was something that he enjoyed more than he liked to admit.

"Go away, Bodie." Kol said. "I think my brother is missing you kissing his ass."

Bodie narrowed his eyes at Kol. "That. . .is not very nice. And plus, if it is what I think it is that you and Rebekah are planning, need I remind you of the rule your mother as about killing people in this town."

"And here I thought that you wouldn't care for such a rule. Now given that you're a hybrid, I thought that you would be more than willing to showcase your newfound strength."

Bodie pouted. "I could showcase my strength by fighting you, but given that we have to stick to appearances, I think it's rather best if I hold myself back, right Kol?"

He didn't wait for Kol to respond, instead he found himself wandering back into the party, despite the fact that he didn't want to talk to anyone that he wasn't already friendly to. Though, it didn't take long for Klaus to find him once again and hand him a champaign glass that he held spare for Bodie. He took it and smiled a thanks towards Klaus.

As much as he knew that this was what he wanted, there was a part of Bodie that wondered whether or not he should be worried with how Klaus was acting with him. He wondered whether or not Klaus was trying to cosy up to him in hopes to find where his white oak stake was, but the lovesick fool within him told him that he should be happy that Klaus would want him back.

Bodie just shook his head, though he knew that there was nothing to worry about, there was a sense of fear that washed through him, and he was sure that it was because of knowing that he needed to tell the Mikaelson's about what he did. He knew that once he did, everything would be ruined, and that was something that he was worried about the most.

What dragged Bodie out of his thoughts was the sound of glass being tapped followed by Esther's voice. "Good evening, ladies and gentleman. Waiters are coming around with champagne, I invite you all to join me in raising a glass." Bodie downed the glass that he already had as Klaus grabbed the pair of them one. "It provides me with no greater joy than to see my family and their friends back together as one. I'd like to thank you all for being part of this spectacular evening. Cheers."

A rise of glasses and a joint of 'cheers' were spoken throughout the room. Bodie sipped on the drink in hand, there was a temptation to down the drink like he's done with the other fifteen but realised that he needed to slow down before he gets too affected by the drink. As much as he wanted to let lose, he found himself knowing that he shouldn't.

After a moment, Bodie found himself being dragged by their laced hands into another room. Klaus and him sharing softly spoken jokes that no one else but them would understand. He felt like he was a teenager once more, sneaking around as if they didn't want to get caught, of course Bodie knew that they had no reason to act like this, but it was something that Bodie brought joy into. He liked the idea of sneaking around with Klaus as if they weren't meant to be together.

"Where you taking me, Nik?" Bodie asked, laughing.

"Thought we should get away from everyone." Klaus responded.

"And why is that?" Bodie asked. "So that we can hide away while the party continues? Ignore that there's a party going on as a whole?"

"Maybe." Klaus said with a slight shrug. "Though, I would like to thank you for agreeing with being my date, Bodie."

Bodie somewhat smiled. "I somewhat doubted that you would have asked. Though, I suppose that I wouldn't have fully wanted to be here if I wasn't with you."

"And here I thought that you wanted to make me jealous." Klaus said with a slight smirk.

"If I wanted you to be jealous, I would have done it a long while ago." Bodie told. He'd thought about whether or not he should've moved on between Wembley and now, but given his anger throughout that time, he thought it best to not do such a thing.

"Would you?" Klaus asked. He'd given Bodie look, one as if to mean that he was somewhat serious and yet still joking.

"Maybe." Bodie said. "Would it have worked?"

Klaus didn't say anything, he took Bodie's hand into his own and seemed to stare at the ring on Bodie's finger. He couldn't remember when Klaus got him this ring, but when family crests were a big thing, Klaus got one designed specifically for him, one that Klaus thought would suit Bodie's family. "I remember when I gave this to you."

"I remember too." Bodie admitted. The day that Klaus gave this to him was the hundredth or so year of his family being murdered by Mikael, it was normally a day that broke Bodie more than anything, and for some reason it coming up to the hundredth year was the worst. Klaus came to him that day and gave Bodie the ring, promising that he and the rest of his siblings would always be there for Bodie when he needed them. Of course, that broke Bodie more.

"You cried." Klaus stated.

"I know." Bodie whispered.

"Bodie," Klaus muttered.

For a moment, Bodie wasn't sure what came over him, but he ended up pulling Klaus towards him and placed a quick small kiss on his lips. Everything within him was telling him that maybe he shouldn't be kissing Klaus, but at the same time he didn't care. Throughout the night it was like ongoing teasing of having Klaus so close to him and having Klaus touch him the way that a small part of him longed to be touched, and Bodie found himself caving in at last to his needs that he knew he shouldn't have.

Klaus seemed to be taken back by his actions, though there was a small part of him that didn't care, even when Bodie pulled back to see Klaus' shocked expression, he didn't care. Bodie smiled slightly before turning and leaving. For a second, Bodie wondered whether or not Klaus was going to stop him but when Klaus didn't, Bodie thought that he'd stunned Klaus too much with his actions.

By the time that he came back to the party, Will joined him, and flung his arm around Bodie's shoulder. "And where have you been, Bodie?"

"You know where I've been." Bodie stated.

"Kissing away to your precious Klaus?" Will half-mocked.

Bodie shook his head. "You're such an ass."

"Can you blame me?" Will shot back. "You've been all in love with Klaus throughout the night and Henry's been making attempts to flirt with Caroline. Though, at one point, she gave Henry the piece of jewellery that you gave her before leaving, which put Henry into a little mood, though he found other people to annoy with his presence."

"Don't be mean to your brother." Bodie flicked him. "He's got a thing for Caroline?"

"I know!" Will said. "I was surprised, though I could tell with the way that he looks at her."

Bodie shook his head with a slight smile. Though, before Bodie could continue, he thought that he could hear the sounds of two people fighting and then Stefan opening the doors and running out. He looked at Will with confusion, though there was a sense of panic that went through Bodie as he thought that there was a chance that Henry got into a fight.

The other Mikaelson's seemed to have taken interest in what was happening, for they joined in the search outside. Once everything came into sight, Damon standing over Kol's body, there was a sense of waning to rip someone's heart from their body.

"Maybe a little." Damon was saying to Stefan. "Far be it from me to cause a problem." It was then that Damon turned and left.

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Bodie wasn't sure what happened afterwards fully, it seemed too much of a blur for Bodie as a whole. Most of the people from the party left and Bodie found himself in Klaus' room once more. He was laying across Klaus' bed, his jacket somewhere in the room. He knew that he should find his own room, but Bodie found that he couldn't be bothered to move as a whole, that and the fact that he could watch Klaus and his every movement which is something that Bodie was rather enjoying.

Bodie liked to watch as Klaus was at a small desk, his feet up on a small stall beside him and a small pad in hand and is his other was a pencil. Bodie didn't want to interrupt Klaus' flow, knowing that it was best to leave Klaus to do what he wanted, meaning staying as quiet as anything else. Although Bodie liked to watch as Klaus worked or did anything, Bodie found himself wanting to fall asleep, as much as he wanted to continue to watch as to what Klaus was doing, he found that it was hard to keep his eyes open.

"Sleep, Bodie." Klaus said from where he was. "I'll be here when you wake up."

Bodie hummed lazily. "But I want to watch you."

Klaus looked up from his pad, giving Bodie some form of a smile. "I'll be here in the morning, Bodie, and you can watch me then."

"Not the same." Bodie muttered.

"How so?" Klaus asked. His pencil dragged across the page, Bodie wondered what he could be working on.

"Because I don't see you working on your art as much as I used to," Bodie explained. "And I like to watch you as you work. It's almost calming." And it reminded Bodie of a time when all they had to worry about was whether or not Bodie was going to kill Mikael. Of course, Bodie wouldn't, but the amount of times that Bodie used to suggest a thing would worry Niklaus.

Klaus sighed. "You're going to fall asleep eventually, Bodie, whether you like it or not."

Bodie pouted. "Shush." He knew that he was going to fall asleep, but he didn't want to admit that he was. He liked watching as Klaus' arms moved and flexed whenever he'd draw, he liked watching Klaus' concentration grow as he focused on whatever he was drawing, he liked watching as Klaus got lost in his art. It always reminded Bodie of the amount of times that Bodie would watch Klaus in the forest as he drew and when the sun would hit quite right on Klaus' skin, making him look like a glowing angel.

Klaus just shook his head slightly, finishing his art and closing his pad. He rose to his feet and Bodie watched as he stretched. "I would say that tonight was a success, of course, I know that mother isn't pleased with Kol and Rebekah."

"I knew that the pair of them were up to something, but honestly, I didn't expect Damon to just attack Kol."

"Yeah, you did." Klaus said.

Bodie titled his head. "Yeah. I did. But, in all honesty, I was actually up for whatever Kol and Rebekah was planning."

Klaus rose an eyebrow at Bodie before joining Bodie on his bed. "Was you?"

"Yeah." Bodie said. "I mean, as much as I know that we're not meant to cause bloodshed and shit in this town at your mother's request, I find that it's harder to keep in control knowing that I can't do something, you know?"

Klaus somewhat smiled then. "Oh, yeah, and who would you kill if you could?"

"I don't know." Bodie admitted. "Anyone that pissed me the fuck off. Not even that, I'd do it out of boredom."

"You've got a list?" Klaus asked.

"Not really." Bodie lied. He knew that he wanted to turn Leo, but he supposed that he wasn't going to kill him, though in someway he was. So, he supposed that he wasn't lying. Or he was. He didn't know. "Kinda, I'd like to kill Damon, he annoys me at times."

"I could kill Stefan, so that we can remove the Salvatore's from this town." Klaus suggested.

Bodie took that into consideration. "We could make sure that they die a slow and painful death."

Klaus laughed lightly. "Hybrid bites?"

Bodie nodded. "Yes. That way they can't win."

"Keep the homicide thoughts at bay for now, Bodie." Klaus said. "As much as I would love to join you in a homicide with the Salvatore's, we both know that my mother won't be pleased. With either of us."

Bodie groaned. "I don't get why I need to keep to this up this deal thing with Esther. Actually, I don't understand why she added me into all of this, the ball, claiming me as part of the family—not saying that I don't see your siblings as my own—but I just don't get it."

"You thought she'd be angry at you for the crimes of one of your own against one of us." Klaus stated.

"Yeah." Bodie quietly said. As much as he knows that he shouldn't tense up at that, he found that he did. He knew that he shouldn't, knowing that there was a chance that he could give it all away, but that was something that he didn't care for as much. "For a while, I thought that Esther punished me for the crimes of my pack. But it wasn't until Rebekah told me that it was you that begged Esther to turn me. Of course, this was before you triggered your own curse, my family was still alive. I remember how you'd come to my door that night, dragging me away to your village, you forced me to drink something, and then Elijah took me and. . .killed me."

"You thought Esther punished you for what happened?" Klaus asked. "How come?"

Bodie's throat went dry. "I don't know. I thought that it was a way to prove to Ansel that she could kill one of theirs. A life for a life, you know? One werewolf killed Henrik, Esther had me killed and turned. Pay back. But when Rebekah told me that you begged Esther to do what she did to you lot, to me, I thought that there was a chance that it was all a joke."

"It's not a joke, nor a lie." Klaus told. "I did beg my mother to turn you. If I were to be immortal and watch you die, that was something that I didn't want to live with. She didn't want to, because of the fact that you were a werewolf, and she knew that Mikael wouldn't like it. It took Rebekah, Kol, Elijah, and I to fully convince her to turn you. I brought you to her the night she agreed."

"You didn't want to leave me mortal?" Bodie asked. As much as he didn't like that he didn't have much of a choice when it came to this, the thought that Klaus begged for him to become this was something that almost made Bodie rethink everything. "You all begged?"

Klaus nodded. "I really didn't." He took Bodie's hand into his own. "I told my siblings about how I wanted mother to do the same to you, and they realised what it would mean."

Bodie somewhat smiled. "I guess I should thank you all for making me immortal."

Klaus didn't say anything, he just gave Bodie a small smile. He ended up raising his hand to brush some hair of Bodie's eyes. "It doesn't matter anymore, Bodie." He whispered. "We could have a life together, here, move on from our past transgressions, be happy."

"I know." Bodie admitted. "And I want that."

Before Bodie could comprehend anything that was going on around him, Klaus had grabbed a handful of Bodie's shirt and dragged him forward, his lips on Bodie's rough and almost desperate. He never knew Klaus—this Klaus—to be desperate in wanting a kiss, but Bodie took it. All that Bodie wanted in this moment is to believe that everything between them was okay, that there was nothing that he needed to worry about, he wanted to have Klaus like this, open enough to him that they don't have to worry about performing in front of anyone.

Bodie found himself on top of Klaus, unbuttoning his shirt, though found himself getting annoyed of the buttons and ripped the shirt off. Klaus chuckled at the action though Bodie didn't question it before kissing him harder once more. All that Bodie thought about was Klaus and the ways that he wanted Klaus, he didn't care if he was in a home full of Originals that could hear what they were doing, all that he knew that he needed was Klaus.

Bodie kissed along Klaus' neck, biting occasionally, he could feel the way that Klaus removed Bodie's own shirt, both clearly not caring whether or not they destroyed the other's clothing. Bodie knew that he shouldn't be doing this, but he couldn't help himself, it was Klaus, and it's been so long since he'd done this with Klaus. He missed the way that Klaus' hands were on him, the way that Klaus was underneath him, the way that Klaus moved.

"Bodie." Klaus groaned under him when he'd pulled away.

"Yes?" Bodie panted, looking down to him. "Something wrong?"

Klaus didn't say anything, he just pulled Bodie back down for a kiss. "Let me have this."

"Always." Bodie whispered.

He felt the way that Klaus smiled against his lips, and the way that Klaus moved to strip him. Bodie done the same to him, lifting Klaus' hips. He kissed across Klaus' jaw, down his neck and collarbone. His hand move, caressing Klaus' body, he could feel the way that Klaus' own hands touched him and the noises that lightly came out of Klaus' mouth. He bit down on Klaus' neck, he didn't care for the blood that came, nor did Klaus who held Klaus' head in place as if it was something that he enjoyed.

"Bodie." Klaus muttered, a sense of pleasure in his voice. "Bodie."

Bodie hushed him, kissing down Klaus' chest and stomach. He'd always liked the way that Klaus would react to him, and right now, Bodie found himself smiling at the way that Klaus did right now. He'd slowly made his way back up, kissing either side of Klaus' neck. He'd wrapped an arm around Klaus, taking Klaus' hand into his own and pinning it against the bed. He felt the way that Klaus wrapped his arm around body, as if intending to pull Bodie closer to him.

"My Bo," Klaus whispered.

"My wolf." Bodie kissed the tip of Klaus' nose. "My stars."

Bodie hadn't waited to see what Klaus might say to him, he knew what he wanted to do, and he was sure that Klaus wanted the same. He'd given Klaus a slight look as if to ask to which Klaus nodded at as his response. "Do it," Klaus said.

He smiled, placing a hard kiss onto Klaus' lips once more. He slowly slid himself in, Klaus responding in a way that Bodie enjoyed much more than expected. In and out, his speed picking up, Klaus muttering words under his breath that didn't slow or soften the pace Bodie found himself at. He'd felt the way that Klaus hand on Bodie's back drag across his back, his claws leaving their marks on Bodie.

Bodie buried his head into Klaus' neck, biting and kissing, harder. He couldn't help but smile at the sounds that came out of Klaus, clearly not caring for who was in the house and neither did Bodie, he didn't want to stop, he couldn't stop. He'd groaned slightly against Klaus' neck, feeling the way that Klaus wrapped his legs around Bodie's waist as if to prevent Bodie from stopping.

Klaus repeated Bodie's name as if it was a prayer that he needed to repeat over and over again. He'd managed to free his hand from Bodie's grip and both hands were now clawing at Bodie's back. Not that he cared. All he wanted was Klaus like this for however long needed to be.
