Chapter Twenty-Five
『prank night frights』

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Henry knew that doing this was probably the most childish thing that he could do, but this was as close to being as human as he's going to get. That and the fact that Bodie managed to convince him that doing this would help get his mind off of knowing that William was back in Mystic Falls. Bodie had to physically stop him from doing a locator spell on Will just to see where in Mystic Falls he was, which Henry was quite grateful for, considering that he was in the High School with Caroline, Elena, and the others setting up pranks for others to walk into.

He knew that pranks were a little stupid, but it was something that he knew that he could do without Will yelling at him for being a little shit. He thought that it was nice that he could set up pranks around the school with a group of people that let him into their friendship group, it was just nice to have friends that cared enough to let him be involved. At times he thought that there was a chance that Bodie compelled them, but he tried to ignore those thoughts just as a whole, thinking that it wasn't worth the stress.

All he ever wanted was a life that was somewhat normal, even if he wasn't normal, but here he was having with friends and the chance of somewhat normal. He was setting up pranks with a guy who he believed to be called Elliot—he was one of Elena's and Caroline's old friends that recently moved back, he seemed nice, and Henry tried everything within himself to not get flustered at how attractive he though Elliot was.

The one thing that Henry took note of was the fact that while Elliot talked he'd occasionally mention his brother in the middle of a conversation which made Henry wonder more about Elliot's life outside the very limited information that he has. He wondered more about Elliot though he couldn't tell if it was because how attractive he found Elliot or not.

He tried his best to be nice to Elliot and to try and not mention anything that he would if he was around Bodie or Caroline considering that he didn't know whether or not Caroline or Elena filled Elliot in on the stuff that had been going on in this town—hell, he didn't know if Elliot knew at all. He knew that he could just ask, but how the hell was he about to bring up the supernatural to a person that he just met and yet still found attractive.

Was this what Bodie felt like all those years ago when he kept the fact that he was a werewolf a secret from the Mikaelson's? God, even at the thought of that it made him somewhat uncomfortable—not in a bad way, but if he wanted to get more involved with a guy that knows little about the supernatural, then he had to be aware of what to expect as a whole.

"You're staring," Elliot told which made him snap out of his thoughts. "Are you always in your own thoughts?"

Henry shook his head slightly then. "Sorry, I don't mean to. I suppose being in my own world doesn't help my case."

Elliot smiled at him. "No, it doesn't." He then looked towards Henry then. "How long have you known Caroline and Elena?"

"Three-four months, I think," Henry told with a shrug. "I moved here with one of my brothers and I met Caroline and Elena pretty much a few days after I moved. They seemed a little sceptical about someone new being in town—whatever that's about—but I supposed I got quite close with the pair of them over the months, so it's been the fact that I've gotten to know basically everyone."

Elliot made a noise then. "Yeah, I get why they'd be sceptical, sometimes this town draws in the worst kind of people."

"I'm aware," Henry said. He was about to bring up that he could protect himself but found that it probably wasn't the best idea to bring that up. That and the fact that he was close to saying that his hybrid brother wouldn't let anything happen to the pair of them.

"What made you choose a town that's got a lot of death linked to it?" Elliot asked as if he was trying to go around something. Elliot put out some more rubber ducks—the entire duck idea was Elliot's and Caroline's idea which Henry found somewhat cute.

"My other brother left a weird note," Henry explained. "Said that he was in this town with someone bad, so we came here to help but by the time that we got here both him and the bad person were gone along with someone else."

Elliot made a face then as if he knew what Henry was talking about but didn't say anything. "I hope that you find him soon."

"Yeah," Henry agreed. "But I had a feeling the other day that he was back in town, so me and my brother—the one that I moved here with—have been trying to come up with a safe plan to make sure that we can get him to come back."

Elliot smiled at him weakly then. "Hope that it all goes well for you."

Henry was about to say something then in response, but there was something completely wrong. He had a feeling that he was being watched, but he knew that there was a chance that he was just overthinking something that didn't need to be overthought. But he was so sure that the feeling that he was being watched was strong and that it was something that was already bothering him.

He looked around then, thinking that he might actually be dramatic, but the one thing that he hadn't expected to see was his brother standing by the door. He looked at him with a somewhat shocked look, he was more shocked to see that his brother had the audacity to be here, after everything. But if Will was here, then so was Klaus, and if Klaus was here then they knew about Elena.

"Henry, you good?" Elliot asked.

"Yeah," Henry weakly said. "I'm good. I gonna check up on the others."

"I'll join, we're basically done here." Elliot said.

Henry wanted to tell him that it would be safer if Elliot stayed here, but he found that he couldn't speak, he didn't want to tell Elliot anything just in case he wasn't aware of the world that truly existed within the world. He turned on his heels and left with Elliot training behind him, and for a moment, he just hoped that Will wasn't following him.

He whipped out his phone and instantly decided that the best thing that everyone needed was an Original that would be on their side. What other thing would be a great help other than a heretic? He just hoped that Bodie saw the message and got here in time. He didn't know how he'd deal with Klaus and his own brother by his self. At least with Bodie here, he could focus on Will while Bodie done something about Klaus—at this point Henry didn't care if Bodie made out with Klaus just to keep him distracted.

"What's going on?" Elliot asked. "You seem really worried."

Henry didn't know what to say for a moment, how could he explain something that's basically impossible for him to explain to someone who might not be part of the supernatural world. "I. . .I thought that I saw someone that I shouldn't have."

"Who?"

Henry sighed and turned to face Elliot after finishing his text to Bodie. "Just trust me, please."

Elliot looked as if he were about to say something which Henry was prepared to argue with just as a whole. As much as Henry knew that he just met Elliot, he was more than willing to start an argument with Elliot when it came to something like this. He knew that Elliot was friends with Caroline and Elena, but even still, that wasn't enough for Henry to know what to say and what not to say.

Henry ended up sighing. "Look, when I say that my brother was mixed up with one of the worst kind of person to exist, I mean it. I just thought that I saw my brother which makes me panic in thinking that the bad person is with him."

Elliot gave him an odd look then. "How. . .how would your brother know that you're here? Barely anyone knows that we're here."

"He has a way," Henry explained bluntly. He knew that he shouldn't talk more based around the subject considering that he knew that he was close in telling Elliot the truth. He wanted to just randomly tell this person about what he was knowing that it would eventually fall back onto Elena and Caroline and—of course—Bonnie, and the last thing that he wanted to do was to have them tell Elliot about this world. He might just be thinking too much into this just as a whole.

Elliot didn't seem to say anything else, though the one thing that surprised Henry the most was the look on his face, like horror mixed with recognition. "Henry, who's that? And why is he looking at you as if he knows you?"

Henry closed his eyes and groaned slightly while he turned around. When he opened his eyes again, he found that his brother was standing there with a grin on his face. Henry wanted to stab him or throw him out the window—though there were no windows. "William."

"Wait, William as in the Heretic that works with Klaus?" Elliot asked. Okay now that was something that he was surprised about just as a whole. Maybe he should have just assumed that Elliot knew because he knew Caroline, Bonnie, and Elena—what else did he expect?

"Yeah," Henry said. "Also, my brother. Biological one." He then turned his attention back to Will, and for a moment, there was anger, he wanted to make sure that his brother knew the pain that he went through knowing that Will didn't come with them and made a point of siding with Klaus and staying with him as long as he did. "Phasmatos Ossox."

Will's bones then proceeded to crack and break, and Henry couldn't help but smile knowing that he was finally getting what he wanted for a while. He knew that he was being petty, but he didn't care at the moment. Will was finally able to get what he deserved for decided to leave both him and Bodie behind in favour for someone like Klaus.

"Witch," Elliot muttered under his breath. "You're a witch."

"I'm a Heretic, sweetheart," Henry spoke through his teeth. "And, I'm so pissed. Get out of here, it's not safe. If William is here, then so is Klaus."

"But what about you?" Elliot asked.

Henry grinned slightly then. "I called for backup. Another Original with issues and history with Klaus."

Will laughed then, unexpectedly through the sound of his bones snapping. Henry thought that Will went mad—or, well, madder since the last time that he saw his brother. "Bodie won't be able to do anything." It was then that Henry realised that his focus for the spell he was using was slipping. Will rose his hand and spoke; "Incendia!"

Elliot then went in front of Henry as if to protect him from the fire that came towards them. He stared at the fire with such intense that for a moment, Henry thought he was going to have a staring contest with the fire. "Suctus Incendia."

Henry smiled then. "Witch."

Elliot smiled as the fire went out slightly. "Were-witch."

The one thing that Henry hadn't expected the most was when it seemed like that the pair wasn't paying attention, Will stepped to the side, and muttered something under his breath, though Henry could only catch onto a few words such as, "Bruciare," and "terram," and, "ga praemium."

Henry knew that spell better than anyone, it was one of his favourite spells for when he was mad at the world and needed to make something explode. He pulled Elliot out the way and muttered the words under his breath, "Phasmatos motus incendiamos." In hopes that it would be enough to protect them. He didn't want Elliot to get hurt, he didn't want to explain to Caroline, Elena, and Bonnie why their old friend is dead.

He didn't know how long he'd been holding the spell around them both, but he realised that it was somewhat hurting him, like the pain of trying to keep them both protecting him was getting a little too much. Will kept firing fire-based spells at the pair of them as if he'd discovered what magic was for the first time and it was getting to the point where Henry was struggling to keep his protective spell over them.

"Elliot." Henry hissed. "Break his neck."

Elliot leaned up and thankfully did as such though with slight trouble considering that Will was always a moving subject. "Won't he, like, die?"

"He's part vampire." Henry stated with a groan. "Snap it. He'll heal."

Elliot looked sceptical just as a whole, though did exactly that. He waited until he had clear sight of William before he then managed to snap Will's neck at the distance, but just as Elliot was about to do such a thing, someone else got the chance to snap Will's neck. The fire stopped and Will's body dropped to the floor.

Behind Will was a highly disgusted Original who Henry was very grateful to see just as a whole. Henry found himself smiling at the sight of him, knowing that Bodie just saved them both. Bodie sniffed and wiped his nose before looking up at them—there were times when Henry wanted to get a look inside Bodie's head just to know what he was thinking (he's not crazy, just curious!) but other times he knew that it was probably best that he stayed out the head of someone like Bodie. He chose his last slither of innocents that he had left than look into his head.

"Bodie!" Henry greeted and hugged him. He knew that he saw Bodie before he left to come here, but to know that Bodie saved his life was the biggest relief that he could ever experience. "Thank god."

Bodie seemed surprised by the hug, but Henry didn't care. "I'm surprised that you didn't snap his neck beforehand."

Henry looked towards Elliot then. "Yeah, but I had someone to worry about. I was trying to convince him to snap Will's neck, but you got there first."

Bodie regarded Elliot with a semi-interested look, though he didn't seem all that impressed. He didn't know what to expect of Bodie, but there was a part of him which thought that Bodie would have had a bigger reaction. Guess he thought wrong. Or he honestly thought that there was something about Elliot that might have caught Bodie's attention—he really wasn't sure anymore, he was probably somewhat surprised about the fact that Elliot was one of them.

"Let me guess," Bodie said, "my dear ex is here."

Henry nodded. "Most probably yeah."

Elliot stood up and looked between the pair then. "Whose your ex?"

"Klaus." Bodie bluntly said. There was a part of Henry that seemed surprised just as a whole when it came to Bodie admitting what Klaus was in terms of their relationship at times, mainly because of knowing what kind of person Klaus was and what other people might assume of Bodie because of it. He knew that it was a stupid thoughts, but even still, there was a part of him which was worried whether or not others would assume that Bodie was on the same level that Klaus was when it came to their bond that seemed to never go away.

Elliot made a noise then, but he was shut up by Henry who just gave him a look. Bodie and the others made their way through the school, Bodie tried to make sure that the other two kept quiet, the last thing that Bodie wanted was for Klaus to hear him. He tried to strain his hearing to try and see if he could recognise anything that might indicate where Klaus was or whatever.

"You put a rather large kink in my plans, sweetheart," Bodie heard Klaus say. "The whole point of breaking the curse and becoming a hybrid was to make more Hybrids. I haven't been able to do that. Now my bet is, it has something to do with the fact that you're still breathing."

"Bodie, what is it?" Henry asked, causing him to snap back to the two beside him.

"Klaus has Elena." Bodie told.

Elliot gave Bodie an odd look. "Why would Klaus be here because of Elena being alive?"

Henry sighed. "Klaus can make more hybrids being what he is, but Elena needed to be dead for it to work, because she's alive, it fucks it all up for him."

"Original Hybrids can make more Hybrids?" Elliot asked almost surprised.

"They can," Bodie told. "But Klaus is different—"

"—The curse on him," Elliot cut in.

Henry nodded. "Elena was what Klaus needed to break it and was meant to stay dead, but considering that she's alive. . ."

"Is Klaus going to kill her?"

Bodie somewhat pouted then and tilted his head slightly. "He'll probably torture Elena somehow and then kill her, it's Klaus."

"Well, we have to stop Klaus." Elliot said, almost desperately. He moved forward despite the fact that he had no idea where Klaus would be which meant that he didn't know where Elena did.

Bodie made a noise and pulled Elliot back. "You're not helping. You need to go home and pretend that none of this happened."

Elliot pulled his arm out of Bodie's grip which made the Hybrid stare at him with a sense of surprise. "I'm not going anywhere. Klaus has Elena. I wasn't here the first time that Klaus was here and I'm certain that I won't leave again. She needs my help, and I will do just that."

Bodie let out a small laugh as if he couldn't believe that this was happening. "You're not going to play hero against someone who can slaughter you without a single thought. Klaus isn't someone that you want to mess with, little witch."

"You're doing the same!" Elliot shot back.

"Only because he can't kill me." Bodie said. "Can't kill an Original. Let alone an Original Hybrid."

Henry groaned. "Can we get back to preventing anything bad happening to Elena rather than arguing over whether or not Elliot going to help against Klaus? By the time that we get there, he might have killed her already."

Elliot crossed his arms and glared at Bodie. "I agree. Arguing is pointless and we have a chance to at least weaken Klaus while he's here with us."

Bodie groaned, dragging his hands over his face. He didn't like the fact that he was bringing a mortal along with them but at the same time he knew that there was nothing that he could do in order to stop Elliot from coming with him. "Fine."

Bodie turned on his heels and stalked throughout the halls of the High School, not knowing where he was going. He knew that there were students around and that they were setting up some form of pranks for the teachers for the next school day, so he had to be cautious. He wanted to desperately loose Elliot and Henry though he knew that there was a chance that they'd still find him.

He could hear the way that both Elliot and Henry followed him and there was a part of him which wanted to snap and tell them that they could find Klaus if they stopped following him, but he knew that he had some form of advantage if he had the pair of them with him. Klaus wouldn't try—or he would—if he had the pair of them with him.

"Any idea on where Klaus could be?" Elliot asked.

"I don't want to hear your voice." Bodie responded.

"Sorry about him." Henry muttered to Elliot. "He gets like this sometimes. It's worse when he's about to go for Klaus."

Bodie mimicked Henry for a moment before looking over his shoulder. "I'm only like this because I don't want either of you to weigh me down. Klaus will use the pair of you if it means I won't fight him."

"Glad to know that you care." Henry muttered.

Bodie gave him a fake smile and shook his head. For a second he thought that he felt something that was wrong, but he chose to ignore it knowing that there was a chance that it was nothing. He shook his head slightly, thinking that there was a chance that he was overthinking in some way. He thought about knowing that Klaus was here and the kinds of stuff that he would do while he was here—he knew that the last time that Klaus was here it was bad, which means that whatever he was planning was worse.

They'd walked throughout the school, Bodie in front and trying to listen out for Klaus but he found that he was getting far too distracted in order to focus as a whole. He knew that they were running on limited time before Will woke up from his brief death, but no matter how much Bodie tried to focus, his mind decided to wander.

"Bod—" Henry began before something snapped. Bodie looked around to see how Will was standing there behind where Henry fell.

There was something inside Bodie which wanted to rip Will's heart out though he knew that there was a chance that he wouldn't be able to do that without harming Henry more. He found himself glaring at Will not knowing what to do, he knew what he wanted to do but at the same time he knew that he needed to do something that wasn't killing him. He wasn't Klaus.

"William." Bodie greeted stiffly.

"Henry!" Elliot shook Henry's body as if he didn't understand that he was a vampire as well. Bodie knew that he was going to wake up pissed than anything, Bodie might as well try and find a cave to put Henry in knowing that he'd destroy the windows first.

"Bodie," Will greeted. "You know, I would say that I'm happy to see you again, though at the same time I know that you're not that fond of seeing me after your failed attempt on getting me to come back."

"You just snapped your own brother's neck," Bodie pointed out, "it's not me that you've got to worry about. His tempter is rather terrible."

Will shook his head. "Klaus' temper is terrible. I don't want to fight either of you," his eyes went to Elliot, "just follow me to Klaus. I know where Klaus is, and I know that there's a chance he'd want to see you. And his sister."

Bodie's eyes widened. "Rebekah?" He missed Rebekah, there was a part of Bodie which missed the comfort of having her sarcasm around him. He cared for Rebekah as if she was his own, knowing that he she was alive was something that he found oddly comforting.

"Come with me, Bodie, and I won't hurt you." Will warned. "You too witch, Klaus might have use of another one."

Elliot looked as if he didn't want to move. Bodie took a step forward and dragged Elliot onto his feet. "He'll wake but you won't if my dear brother sees fit to kill you. Now you don't want to die, do you?" Elliot shook his head. "Good. Now be a dear and follow the asshole which snapped Henry's neck."

"I could snap your neck if you keep talking about me like that," Will stated.

"Choke on blood." Bodie said. "Or a stake."

Will just gave Bodie a glare and for a moment, Bodie thought that it was all somewhat familiar for him, to know that him annoying Will was something that he could still do. "Just walk."

That was what he did. There had been a few moments where Bodie considered to just rip Will's heart out or to find something that he could make a stake out of, but he tried to push the thought away, knowing that there was a chance that he wouldn't be able to do that without hurting Henry. He knew that whatever he done had to Will would end up with Henry trying to kill him, though he knew that what Will done was enough for a death sentence for Will himself. They both knew that Henry was chaos if chaos was a person, piss him off enough and they've got something to worry about.

Will, Bodie, and Elliot walked into the gym where the others were. Bodie could see Elena looking at them as if she wished that they hadn't come in, he took notice of the fact that Bonnie and Matt were there as well. Tyler was in Rebekah's grip and Klaus was standing there overly smug about everything, like everything was slowly coming together just as a whole.

"I'd like you all to meet my sister Rebekah," Klaus was saying. "Word of warning. . .She can be quite mean."

"Don't be an ass," Rebekah shot at him.

"Maybe he wouldn't be an ass if there wasn't something shoved up there all the time," Bodie called out. He took notice of the way that Rebekah turned her head to look at him. For a moment there was nothing and then there was a smile on her face as if she realised who it was.

"Bodie!" Rebekah was grinning. She pushed Tyler into Klaus' arms as Elena yelled, "Leave him alone!"

"Hi Bekah," Bodie smiled at her. Whatever he felt about Klaus, he wasn't going to project it onto her, there were times that Bekah reminded him of the sister he missed dearly, long gone either killed or died of age.

"Great," Klaus said, "more of an audience." He'd dragged Tyler forward, parting Elena and Matt. "I'm going to make this very simple, every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid, they die during the transition. It's quite horrible, actually." He bit his wrist and made Tyler drink his blood. Tyler grunted from under and Bodie was about to go to help but Will prevented him from doing such a thing by snapping the bones in his legs. "I need you to find a way to save my hybrids, Bonnie. And for Tyler's sake, you better hurry." He placed his hand over Tyler's mouth and then twisted Tyler's head, killing him. Klaus seemed to smile at the shock on their faces.

Matt and Elliot were at Tyler's side, Bodie found himself staring, though he knew that Rebekah and Klaus were looking at him. Bodie could feel the way that his other side wanted to go on a rampage, he didn't know Tyler well, but from the stories shared by Henry, he always thought that Tyler was nice. There was a part of him which wished that he'd bought the white oak stake with him, but he knew that it was the one thing of which he couldn't loose.

"Don't shift yet, love," Klaus said from his shoulder. "Wouldn't want to harm anyone, now would you?"

Bodie glared at Klaus. "Don't you have anything better to do other than to traumatise High School students?" He faked gasped. "Or does Klaus Mikaelson not know how to live his life without traumatising children?"

Klaus gave him a look as if he were about to kill Bodie where he stood. "How about we start a timer, see how long it takes you to grow your heart back?"

"Oh, you've missed me so badly," Bodie half-joked. "Is that why you want my heart? So, you can finally have it after I promised to give it to you?"

"Stop flirting with each other," Rebekah commented.

Bodie gave her a small smile. "But I was just getting started. And plus, I thought you would have missed me flirting with your brother in hopes for him to forgive whatever damage happened before."

Rebekah rolled her eyes. "You two annoy me."

"He's not dead," Elena was saying to Matt. "Klaus' blood will turn him into a vampire."

"And if Bonnie's successful," Klaus said, pushing past Bodie on the bleachers, "he'll live through his transition. Go on, then. Go and fetch your grimoires and enchantments and what-not. I'll hold on to Elena," he grabbed her arm, "for safe keeping."

"Take Elliot with you," Will said. "You could use another witch. Henry should be unconscious somewhere, maybe use him." There was a grin on his face which made Bodie want to snap his neck.

Elliot looked up at Bodie as if they were close. Bodie just shrugged which wasn't encouraging but Bodie didn't care much, he didn't want to be encouraging, though Elliot walked out with Bonnie and Matt.

Rebekah had been looking at Elena as if she intended to study her. "So, this is the latest doppelgänger. The original one was much prettier."

Bodie made a noise. "Eh, she was average."

"That's because you prefer blondes." Rebekah winked.

Klaus looked between Bodie and Rebekah. "Enough, Rebekah. Take the wolf boy elsewhere, would you?"

Rebekah gave him a smile, she turned and waved her fingers at Bodie which made him shake his head. She then dragged Tyler by his arm, dragging him away.

Elena looked as if she went to walk forward though Klaus pulled her back. "Just ignore her. Petty little thing."

Bodie knew that he needed to be angry at Klaus for what he did to him fifty years ago, but there was a feeling of jealousy which was building in Bodie's chest while looking at how close Elena and Klaus were. He knew that there was nothing for him to be jealous of, but even still, that feeling was there.

"You got me here," Bodie said, after a moment. "What do you want with me, Klaus?"

Klaus looked over to Bodie who was still sitting on the bleachers. "Can't I see the man who backstabbed me once more?"

"Technically, I stabbed you just under your heart," Bodie corrected. "But specifics." He shrugged. "But I have other stuff to do that results in not being here." He rose to his feet and went to leave, though Will snapped his bones once more which caused him to fall. "You know, I'm trying my hardest to not kill you, right?"

Will smiled at him. "Surprised that you haven't tried already."

"How's the magic, William?" Bodie asked. "You and Henry being away from each other for as long as you have been, surely that's having bad effects on you? Otherwise, Klaus would have asked you to figure out his issues."

"Enough," Klaus snapped. "You're giving me a headache. No wonder why I didn't want the pair of you in the same room as each other."

"Come on, Klaus, admit that you've missed me," Bodie pouted.

Klaus didn't say anything, he just gave Bodie a look which was enough for Bodie to know that he was tired of Bodie's games. Elena went to comfort Dana who was crying on the floor—not like Bodie cared.

"Bodie, do something," Elena whispered.

Klaus chuckled. "Bodie's not going to save you, Elena. He wouldn't want to hurt me again."

Elena looked around to Bodie and all Bodie could do was look down as if he were afraid to see the judging look on her face. He wasn't, but at the same time, there was a part of him which didn't want to hurt Klaus, knowing that hurting him wouldn't bring Bodie much comfort. And it wasn't like he could do anything knowing that if Bodie ever tried to, Will would stop him.

For a moment, Bodie thought about his father, he wasn't sure why, but whenever he did he always thought that there was a chance that his father would be disappointed in the person that not only he became but the kind of person Klaus became. He knew that this wasn't the life that his father would want for either of them. He was sure that if his father were alive, he'd yell at the pair of them.

"But you wouldn't hesitate to hurt me, like you've always done," Bodie spoke almost bitterly. He knew that now wasn't the time to discuss their relationship especially in front of Elena.

Klaus looked at Bodie in a disregarding manor as if he were surprised and exhausted by Bodie and what he has to say. There was a part of Bodie that just wanted to leave but at the same time he knew that Klaus needed him here for something of which he wasn't too sure on, and in all honesty, Bodie didn't want to witness whatever Klaus had planned.

Bodie found himself groaning and found himself pacing. "Why have me here Klaus? If this is your fucked up way to apologise to me for everything, then this isn't how you win me back."

Klaus was in front of him in a flash and for a brief moment, Bodie thought that Klaus was going to rip his heart out of his chest. "I want you here because it's what I want. It's not some kind of game in order to get you to love me again. I just want you to realise what you've missed."

All Bodie could think of was how close Klaus was to him, he knew that he disliked Klaus for daggering him but to feel how close he was, to know that there was only inches between their faces—and yet, all Bodie wanted to do was to kiss him just to remember on how it feels. He hated the fact that even when Bodie hated Klaus, there was still a part of him that wanted to love him, wanted to call Klaus his once more. He hated the way that Klaus got to him without trying to.

The doors to the gym opened which was enough to snap Bodie out of his desire to kiss Klaus an d any thoughts that he would have had about Klaus. Stefan came in and Bodie felt himself groan slightly, which Klaus found oddly amusing as he briefly brushed his hand against his stomach as if he knew what he was doing.

"Stefan," Elena said somewhat shocked as she rose from where she was.

However, Stefan wasn't looking at Elena, he was looking towards Klaus who was still by Bodie. "Klaus."

"Come to save your damsel, mate?" Klaus asked.

Stefan came walking towards the pair though stopped a few feet away from them. "I came to ask for your forgiveness. And pledge my loyalty."

"Well, you broke that pledge once already." Klaus said as if he was bitter about it. Bodie noticed the way that Elena shifted as if she had the intention to walk towards them.

Stefan looked towards Elena and then back to Klaus. "Elena means nothing to me anymore. And whatever you ask of me. . .I will do."

Klaus smiled then. "Fair enough." He moved towards the two humans that were still here. "Let's drink on it." He pointed to both Dana and Chad who were on the floor—or they were as they got to their feet. "Kill them." When Stefan didn't move, Klaus looked towards Stefan to see that he was still standing where he left him. "What are you waiting for? Kill them."

"No! Stefan, don't." Elena tried to reach out to him. "He's not going to hurt me. He already said—" Klaus cut her off by hitting her hard which caused her to fall on the floor. Bodie went to go see if she was okay though, Will thought that now was the best time to give him an intense witch-induced headache. Stefan, however, rushed towards Klaus with his fangs out, though Klaus simply grabbed him by the throat after blocking any attack that Stefan went to give.

"She means nothing to you?" Klaus asked. "Your lies just keep piling up."

Bodie wanted to say something that he knew wouldn't mean anything, but he couldn't due to the headache that Will continued to give him. He'd always hated when witches done this, he hated the amount of pain which went through him, and he hated the way that the pain irritated his eyes like it's main focus was his eyes.

"Let her go!" Stefan grunted. "I'll do whatever you want, you have my word!"

"Your word doesn't mean much." Klaus said. "I lived by your word all summer, during which time I never had to resort to this." He'd paused and then compelled Stefan, "Stop fighting."

"Don't do this," Stefan begged, "don't do this."

"I didn't want to." Klaus said. "All I wanted was your allegiance. Now I'm going to have to take it."

"Don't." Stefan pleaded. "Don't."

Klaus compelled him once more. "You will do exactly as I say, when I say it. You will not run, you will not hide, you will simply just obey." He'd removed his hands from Stefan's neck which Stefan looked almost distant because of it.

"No." Elena whispered. "Stefan." Stefan looked down at her as if he weren't sure what to do with himself.

It was only then that Will decided that it would be best to stop with his magical headache which Bodie was somewhat glad about just as a whole.

"Now kill them, Ripper." Klaus instructed. He gestured towards both Dana and Chad, it was then that Stefan's true face came out as he rushed over to Dana to which she screamed at and then proceeded to kill her by draining her of her blood. Her body fell to the floor with a thud, and even though Bodie knew that now wasn't the best time to think it, but he'd realised just how much he craved blood.

"We didn't have mobile phones back in my day," Rebekah was saying. Henry found himself opening his eyes with a pain in his neck. "Would have made life a whole lot easier, I suppose." Rebekah held up the phone in her hand and took a photo.

It took Henry a moment to realise that he wasn't in the same place as before. He'd been moved. And Caroline was with him also, he could recognise her quite easily—he seemed to always recognise her which was something rather odd given the short amount of time that they've known each other.

"Where's Tyler?" Caroline weakly asked.

Rebekah still held up the phone. "He's dead." Henry froze. "Ish."

Henry just managed to push himself up, he knew how much the pain in his neck hurt whenever he got his neck snapped but chose to ignore its existence. He'd noticed the fact that behind Caroline was Tyler who looked as if he were dead, though there was something inside of Henry which was enough to know that there was a chance that something worse was happening.

"What did you do to him?" Caroline asked.

"Think of it as he's having a nap." Rebekah explained. "When he wakes up, he'll be a hybrid."

Henry groaned. "You know, I've seen hybrids made by Bodie, they're scary."

Rebekah averted her eyes from the phone to give Henry a look. "Aren't you a hybrid?"

He'd shrugged. "Doesn't change the fact that Bodie's sires scared me."

"Bodie's a hybrid?" Rebekah asked. She looked both confused and almost annoyed though Henry wasn't sure.

"Triggered it fifty years ago. Klaus thought that he should dagger Bodie." Henry told. He smiled. "Bodie almost killed him with the stake."

Henry noticed the way that Rebekah tensed though didn't say anything, she resumed to looking through stuff on the phone. There was a part of Bodie that wanted to ask but at the same time he didn't have the energy to do such a thing. He found himself looking towards Caroline to see that she was trying to find a heartbeat for Tyler.

"Ugh. Vomit." Rebekah muttered still staring at the phone in her hand. Though she then double tapped the screen and looked at the screen with this annoyed look on her face which unsettled Henry in a way. He'd heard enough tales from Bodie to know when Rebekah was angry. "Is that my neck. . .?" She'd trailed off before getting up and walked over to Caroline. "Why is that doppelgänger bitch wearing my necklace?!"

Bodie was going to jump in and stop Stefan from feeding on Chad but found himself judging Stefan more than he should. He knew that he shouldn't judge anyone for their habits, but this was just messy and sloppy. All Bodie could think about was the amount of blood being wasted that was running down Chad's shirt and across Stefan's mouth and chin.

"It's always nice to see a vampire in his true element. The species has become such a broody lot." Klaus said.

Stefan turned around to look at Elena then as if he intended to say something or do something, but he didn't. "No," Elena said. "You did this to him."

"I invited him to the party, love." Klaus told. "He's the one dancing on the table."

"Your parties are better than this, Klaus," Bodie said, defiantly judging as if it was his last day on this earth.

Klaus glared at him, and Rebekah marched in "Where is it?! Where's my necklace?!"

"What are you talking about?" Klaus asked.

"She has my necklace," Rebekah stated. She held out the phone in her hand and gave it to Klaus. "Look."

Klaus looked up from the screen after zooming in on the necklace in the photo. "Well, well. More lies."

"Where is it?" Rebekah slowly asked.

"I don't have it anymore." Elena told.

"You're lying!" Rebekah insisted. She then went to bite Elena's neck after her true face revealed itself, though within that brief second, Bodie found himself with his arms around Rebekah and pulling her away. She tried to free herself from him though Bodie held on.

"Knock it off!" Klaus snapped at Rebekah, making her look at her. Klaus quickly glared at Bodie as if his touch were the plague and was something that they all needed to avoid at all costs.

"Make her tell me where it is, Nik!"

Klaus turned back to look at Elena who was holding her hand against her bleeding neck. He crouched down and all Bodie wanted to do was drag Elena away from all of this, she was too young to be dragged in the middle of all of this drama with their world.

"Where's the necklace, sweetheart?" Klaus asked softly. "Be honest."

"I'm telling the truth." Elena whimpered. "Katherine stole it."

"Katerina. Of course." Klaus seemed amused over that fact. "Well, that's unfortunate." He rose to his feet. "If we had the necklace it would make things a whole lot easier for your witch, but since we're doing this the hard way, let's put a clock on it, shall we?"

He'd walked over to the table where he could control the board on the over side of the room. Klaus pressed something and twenty minutes appeared on the board with a buzzing sound. It was then that Klaus came back over towards Stefan with a knowing look in his eyes that Bodie really wished would stop.

"Twenty minutes. If Bonnie hasn't found a solution by then," Klaus said, "I want you to feed again. Only this time, I want you to feed on Elena. You know you want to." He'd compelled Stefan to do as such.

"No, Klaus!" Elena pleaded. "Don't do this to him!"

Klaus grabbed hold of Bodie's arm and Will finally decided to come down from where he was hiding. "No one leaves." Klaus said, then pointed towards Elena. "If she tries to run, fracture her spine."

The gym doors closed behind them, and Klaus refused to let go of Bodie's arm. "It's rather attractive when you're threating half the time, it's annoying."

"Enough." Klaus said.

"Oh, come on, Klaus, you know you've missed me." Bodie spoke. He knew that he was taunting Klaus but in all honesty, he didn't care much, he just missed pissing Klaus off as much as he could. He always forgot how much fun it was to annoy Klaus—even when they were children Bodie would always find ways that he could annoy Klaus even if it were small things. Being the annoying partner in Klaus' life was a title that no one could take from him.

Klaus looked back to Rebekah. "Stay with Tyler. Will you go with her. I assume that Henry didn't go, so go bond."

"Oooh, you want to spend some time alone with me," Bodie tried to joke. It ended with Klaus twisting his wrist in a way that it's not meant to bend. Bodie groaned, not because it hurt but because it was awkward and harsh. "Look if you wanna kiss, just say that."

"You're annoying." Klaus muttered.

"You used to love that about me," Bodie shot back.

Klaus rolled his eyes at Bodie though Bodie found himself shoving Klaus against a wall. "You know, I'm surprised that you kept that dull ripper around, you know if you just apologised to me, we could've gone back to how we were, and that would have been fun. Wouldn't it not?"

"If you think I'm apologising to you, my wolf, you'll be waiting awhile." Klaus said. "And he's not so dull."

"Oh, come on, he's the one who denied you the chance of making more hybrids and he lied about it." Bodie pointed out. "Now if you were with me, we would have killed all of them for stepping in our way which would have meant you would have your hybrid army and we could have lived as two kings with a joint hybrid army."

Klaus pushed Bodie off of him. "I'll do this my way." He went to walk away though at one point, Klaus began to walk backwards. "Plus, it isn't like you've been keeping things from me."

"My secrets are different," Bodie tried to point out. "At least mine don't mean you can't make hybrids." Though, I knew you were a werewolf since the moment I met you, say thanks to your real father for that.

Klaus made a noise at that, as if he were amused as a whole, though Bodie couldn't figure it out as a whole. Klaus turned and walked off and Bodie found himself following Klaus as if he were a lost puppy—not that he was but given the fact that he knew that if he were to wander off and ruin anything that Klaus had planned, then there was a chance that Klaus would be pissed at him as a whole.

Caroline and Henry had dragged Tyler's unconscious body into a classroom given that they thought it best, and of course Rebekah and Will just so happened to appear and follow them inside. Henry found himself glaring at Will, not wanting to be anywhere near his brother, knowing that the person he looked at was just wearing his brother's face.

Rebekah looked unbothered by the entire situation as she continued to play on Caroline's phone. Though the one thing which made Henry uneasy was the sudden smile that appeared on her face which Henry knew wasn't for anything good.

What snapped Henry out of his thoughts was the fact that Tyler woke up gasping and then went into a coughing fit. Caroline was trying to calm him down and Henry found himself at the head of the table where Tyler's head laid, he smiled down at Tyler as he looked at Henry.

"Where am I? What happened?" Tyler asked, confused, and looking around.

"Tyler," Caroline began.

"Don't be shy about it." Rebekah said.

Tyler looked at Rebekah and then back at both Henry and Caroline. "What's going on?"

Caroline hesitated for a moment as if she didn't want to tell Tyler. "Klaus is turning you into a vampire. A hybrid. You're in transition."

"Don't leave out the hard part, sweets." Rebekah taunted. "You'll only survive if your witch is successful. If not. . .you're pretty much dead."

"You're going to be okay. Okay? It's going to be okay." Caroline tried to comfort Tyler, though it was clear the fact that Tyler was panicking.

"I wonder how she's doing." Rebekah said as she looked at the phone. She then showed them the phone screen. They had two minutes. "Tick tock goes the gym clock."

Henry tried not to say anything, but he couldn't help himself. "You're not really helpful much. At least your brother is helpful."

Rebekah gave him a sour look and looked as if she were about to go for him, though Henry just narrowed his eyes and decided to snap her arm instead. She yelled in pain. "You bastard."

Henry smiled. "Stop being an ass." Though it was then that his smile disappeared when Will gave him a harsh look which made Henry look towards Tyler and Caroline as if looking at them would bring him some form of comfort. It didn't. But the glare that Will gave him reminded him of the look that their father would give them for accidently siphoning something that they didn't mean to—it was the first time in a while that he'd gotten one of those looks, and Henry hated the way that it made him feel.

To say that Bodie could sense that he was pissing off Klaus would be an understatement. There were moments like this which made Bodie wonder whether or not Klaus hated that they'd known each other from such a young age. Bodie kept going for Klaus' hand which Klaus kept pulling away and making an annoyed sigh which Bodie enjoyed the most. He kept doing little things to annoy Klaus which he kept getting glared at for, it was the most he enjoyed since he decided to save Henry's ass from his brother.

"The hybrids can't transition because Elena's still alive," Matt was saying.

"Tyler. . ." Bonnie said as if she realised what was going to happen.

Klaus gave Bodie a triumphant look.

"He's going to die, isn't he?" Matt asked.

"I wouldn't be too sure about that." Klaus said, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. "Given the choice, doppelgänger or a hybrid, I go hybrid every time."

Klaus—after getting the information that he needed—dragged Bodie away and Bodie managed to mouth to Bonnie, Matt, and Elliot a "sorry," mainly because he knew that he could fight against Klaus, but he'd always felt immense pain if he did, like he was hurting himself in the process and that was something that he hated. That and the fact that there was a part of him which wanted to know what Klaus was planning in doing just as a whole once he figures out everything to do with the Hybrids.

Klaus dragged Bodie back towards the gym, there was a smug look on his face as if he knew that he won, though Bodie could see that he was deep in thought as if he was processing what he'd been told as a whole. He knew that look even if it's buried under fifty layers of rage, anger, and betrayal, he knew that Klaus was finding it amusing over figuring out what Matt said about the curse Esther put on him.

Just as they turned the corner, Elena ran into Bodie which made him jump considering that it was something that he hadn't expected as a whole. Klaus seemed to smile at it. "We gotta stop meeting like this."

Klaus grabbed hold of Elena's arm and motioned for Bodie to walk into the canteen where Stefan just broke a mop and had stated to stake himself. Bodie almost forgot that Klaus compelled for Stefan to kill Elena after twenty minutes, though when he did remember there was a part of him which was surprised as a whole.

"Now, this is fascinating. I've never seen this before." Klaus said. "The only thing stronger than your craving for blood, is your love for this one girl." Stefan looked as if he was struggling under the influence of Klaus' previous compulsion. "Why don't you turn it off?"

"No," Stefan said.

"Come on, your humanity is killing you." Klaus sat down. "All that guilt must be exhausting. Turn it off."

"No!"

Bodie stepped forward, between both Stefan and Klaus. "This is too far. You need to stop. You got what you needed, so there's nothing more that you need."

Klaus didn't say anything, though the one thing that he hadn't expected was when Klaus thought it best to stake Bodie with the other half of the mop that Stefan broke. Klaus leaned in and whispered in his ear. "That's for Wembley, my Bo."

The last thing that he saw was Klaus looking at him with this hard look almost familiar to the time that Klaus thought it best to dagger him. He heard the way that Elena screamed his name, though he knew that there was nothing that he could do.

Henry and Caroline were trying to comfort Tyler in the idea that he was in transition that and the fact that there was a chance that he might die if his transition isn't completed. To say that Henry was nervous as a whole for multiple reasons would be sugar coating it. At one point he heard Elena scream Bodie's name which almost made him leave, though if it weren't for Rebekah making him stop, there was a chance that he would have gone to see what happened.

His heart couldn't stop beating fast. There was a lot going through his mind and what didn't help as a whole was how calm Will seemed as a whole even after Henry begged for Rebekah to let him leave because he thought that there was a chance that Klaus hurt Bodie—it hurt to know that there was a chance that Will no longer cared for Bodie anymore and that was something that he hated the most.

He thought that Will would come back to him as the same brother that he loved a lot, but the person in front of him was no longer the brother he loved. Will was no longer the person Henry once thought him to be and that as something that he hated the most.

At one point, Klaus came strutting in, there was some blood on his hand which made Henry sad inside. "Well, the verdict's in. The original witch says the doppelgänger should be dead."

Rebekah got up from where she sat and walked towards Klaus. "Does that mean we can kill her?"

Klaus was leaning against the table that Tyler was prepped against. "No, I'm fairly certain it means the opposite."

Caroline and Henry shared a look. "What?" It was then that Rebekah and Will restrained both Caroline and Henry, though Henry tried to fight against Will, but found that fighting against him was pointless. Fighting against Will was always the most pointless thing that he could do.

"Call it a hunch." Klaus said. He lowered down to Tyler, and in his hand was a test tube of blood. "Elena's blood. Drink it."

"No!" Caroline begged. "No, no, no, Tyler, don't!"

"If he doesn't feed, he'll die anyway, love." Klaus said. "Consider this an experiment." Tyler looked as if he didn't want to take it. "It's okay." Tyler struggled for a bit though he then took it and went to drink it. "There we go. Good boy."

Tyler drunk it and then he coughed, bits of the blood came out of his mouth as he rolled over the desk and fell to the ground. Both Henry and Caroline were fighting against Rebekah and Will wanting to see if he were okay though there was nothing that they could do. Tyler held his head as if he were in pain and screamed. Though it was when Tyler showed his face, it was clear that it worked given that his eyes were yellow and the sclera of his eyes were that grey-ish black, and under his eyes were the dark veins that all vampires have. Additionally, his fangs were out though Henry wasn't sure if there were a change.

There was something unsettling about it which made Henry uncomfortable. To know that it was because of Elena's blood that this happened and to know that it was a success was something that made it all worse, he didn't know what would happen to Elena in order for Klaus to get what he wants and it was something that he didn't want to think about fully.

"Well, that's a good sign." Klaus said.

Klaus, Rebekah, and Will were outside the hospital where Klaus put Elena in order to take as much blood as he needed. They'd let the others go once they got what they needed. Will heard Henry yell at the fact that he had to drag a desiccated Bodie back home which somewhat made him smile, though Will couldn't help but feel guilty. He knew that there was a chance that he shouldn't feel guilty over anything that happened, but even still.

Will knew that there was a chance that Bodie missed Klaus—Bodie always did—and what didn't help was the fact that he had to listen for the past fifty years of Klaus being pissed off at Bodie for what he did. Though, there were times where Will would notice the odd portraits of Bodie that Klaus done on one of the few days where there was nothing going on or if they were keeping a low profile because of Mikael, which indicated to Will that there was a chance that Klaus did miss Bodie.

"So, the doppelgänger isn't the problem. Her blood is the solution." Rebekah said. She decided to sit on top of the van that they came here in.

"Seems so," Klaus responded.

"How did you know?" Rebekah asked.

"Well, you know how much the original witch hated me." Klaus explained. "Do you honestly think I would do anything other than the opposite of what she says?" Will knew that Klaus meant his mother.

"A thousand years in the grave and she's still screwing with you," Rebekah joked though Will could tell that it wasn't just a joke.

"Well, it makes sense if you think about it from her perspective." Klaus said. "It was her fail-safe in case I ever broke the hybrid curse. The doppelgänger had to die in order for me to become a hybrid, but if she was dead. . ."

"Then you couldn't use her blood to sire yourself a new species." Rebekah finished.

"Leaving me alone for all time." Klaus stated.

Will just gave him a look. "You had Bodie. The only other Original Hybrid to exist. He would have stayed by your side all these years if you weren't such an ass to him." Klaus didn't say anything to Will about that, and as much as he knew that he didn't need to speak up, there was a part of him which felt as if he needed to.

"Is that what this is about?" Rebekah asked. "Your obsession with hybrids? You just don't want to be alone? You had us and Bodie."

Klaus looked as if he didn't like the fact that both Will and Rebekah were judging him for all of this. "What I want is to take my girl, take my hybrid, get the hell out of this one-pony town." He turned towards the hospital for a moment before turning back. "You know, why don't you, uh, why don't you get the truck? I'll get Elena."

Will rolled his eyes just as Rebekah pushed herself off of the bonnet of the car she was on. The pair of them walked away, side-by-side as if they were friends. At least there was one thing that was comforting was to know that while he was with Klaus and such, there was at least someone else that cared about Bodie like he did. Though he knew that there was a chance that Bodie didn't think that he cared, but even still, there was always going to be a small part of him which was still going to care for his brother and Bodie.

"Bodie's triggered his curse, right?" Rebekah asked him the second they got into the truck.

"Yeah." Will muttered. "He triggered it years ago."

"How long?" Rebekah asked. She then turned to him. "How long?"

Will tensed up, he knew that Klaus tried to compel him for the answer on whether or not Bodie was hiding something, and he vaguely responded with something he can no longer remember. But this was different, this was something bigger, something that Will knew that Bodie wouldn't want shared with anyone else that weren't either Henry or himself. "Centuries," Will said through is teeth. "He triggered it centuries ago."

Rebekah hummed as if it was the most interesting thing that she heard. Which Will guessed, it was, given the fact that he knew that he'd explained it as only being half a century ago. He knew that there was a chance that Rebekah would tell Klaus and then Klaus would do something to him in order punish him for not being truthful like he did with Stefan, though Will knew that there was no human he loved, nor could his humanity be switched off. He was far too old for his humanity switch to be turned off, it wouldn't have much affect on him.

She smiled. "Is there anything else that you might want me to know? Or do I need to compel you again?" She looked at him. "Do I need to tell my brother?"

Will looked down. "Bodie and Henry have the white oak stake. Your father had two before the tree got burned down and Bodie stole one. Bodie has one and I don't know where it would be."

She sighed though it was then that Klaus came rushing over to them and pushed Will in the middle of both Originals. Rebekah leaned forward, looking over Will towards her brother. "Where's the girl?"

"Doesn't matter," Klaus said with annoyance in his voice. "Mikael's on his way." Rebekah tensed at that. "Stefan will keep an eye on Elena. We need to take precautions."

Rebekah leaned back and crossed her arms. "I guess you'd love to know that your ex—our great friend—Bodie faked triggering his curse when you had your previous argument. He's been a triggered werewolf for centuries."

Klaus seemed to tense at that. "I guess that can be thanked to you, Will. What other secrets are you hiding?"

"Bodie compelled me that if I were compelled to tell you that I would curse whoever makes me tell his secret." Will admitted. "You've tried before, remember. I cursed you, and then when you realised what I done, I barely managed to get the curse off you before it took permanent root in you." He shrugged. "He'll have to be the one to tell you what you've been dying to know."

"Push him to tell me." Klaus told. "While my sister and I are in hiding, you will need to try and force him to come out with it."

Will gave him a look. "I would rather live than do that, thank you. You're scary, but Bodie's different. If I push him, there's a chance that he won't care and kill me for pushing him. He shoved Henry against a wall for pissing him off with it, he'll do more for pushing him."

"You're more scared of Bodie than me?" Klaus asked slowly.

Will pressed his lips together and found himself looking towards his lap. He knew that there was a chance that whatever he would say would end up with Klaus threatening him. Though he knew that whatever he did to Bodie could mean his life. He wasn't sure if he wanted to risk it, but he knew that he had to. "Fine."
