Chapter Twenty-Three
『chicago』

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

There was a lot that William didn't get, the first being why he decided to stay with Klaus after all these years, the second being that he was surprised that he didn't leave already; and the third being the fact that he really didn't understand why he, Klaus, and Stefan decided to be in Chicago of all fucking places. Don't get him wrong, he knows that there's a chance that there was something else that was going on that he didn't understand but at the same time he didn't have the energy. Living alongside Klaus was totally different than what he was used to, though he supposed being with Bodie would be different. At least with Bodie, he didn't get made into reading into why Klaus can't make more Hybrids.

He had a feeling that he knew but at the same time, he didn't know if that to be true. Of course, Klaus threw more of a fit about it, about how Will couldn't do his job as a witch properly and that he failed, but eventually, he got over it after Will suggested an outsider's perspective of what happened. And Will supposed that it meant that they were all going on a road trip that he really didn't have the energy for, knowing that there was a chance that whatever happens, Will would have to do some shit for them to get their way if vampirism doesn't give way.

Though, through the streets of Chicago, there was something that made him wonder and that was the fact that Klaus decided to get the driver to take them all into a warehouse of some kind. A part of Will thought that he could hear Bodie in the back of his head say something rather sarcastic about all of this by now which Will would agree to—but then his heart sank just a little at knowing that Bodie wasn't here, and neither was his brother that he missed a lot.

"Welcome back to Chicago, Stefan." Klaus said.

Once the car stopped, the three filed out of the SUV and Will wondered if there was a chance that they'd ever find a place that they could just stay one put in, rather than hopping around each city and state when Klaus felt like it. He was so goddamn tired, and the fact that it honestly felt as if they did nothing but jump around when it was more convenient for Klaus' cause than anything else. Alright, yeah, Klaus was the big bad hybrid, but Jesus fucking Christ, William's seen how that man is around Bodie, that man has one big soft side and right now, he'd rather be round that version of Klaus than a Klaus that would rather drag everyone around as if it were nothing.

God, Will wished that Bodie was here, at least then maybe there was a chance that Klaus wouldn't be the angry asshat that he was. Though, at the same time, given how everything was left off, he would be surprised that the next time that they're together that it wouldn't end up in a bloodbath—spoiler, there was a chance that it would—but even still, Will would rather see that than anything. Maybe if Bodie was here, then there could be a chance that he could sneak off to find Henry and actually see him rather than get a message via Stefan who got it from Bodie—who only mentioned himself.

"What are we doing here?" Stefan asked, voicing Will's thoughts.

"I know how much you loved it here," Klaus responded. He'd opened a door within the warehouse looking place and peered in. "Bringing back memories of the good old Ripper days."

Outside there was a truck that was coming into or towards them, the headlights somewhat blinded Will for a moment as it was something that he didn't expect to see.

"Blocked out most of them," Stefan stated. "A lot of blood, a lot of partying. The details are all a blur."

"Well, that is a crying shame," Klaus said, a little back from the pair. Though, Will wasn't near Stefan. "The details are what makes it legend." It was then that Klaus decided to go into a detailed story of Chicago between the pair. It somewhat made Will roll his eyes then. "Word was the Ripper of Monterrey got lonely, so he escaped to the city for comfort. It was prohibition. Everything was off limits then, which made everything so much fun." Klaus decided to tell a little more of the story. "Chicago was magical."

"Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it," Stefan said with his arms crossed. Will very much wanted to go back home. Stefan then pushed himself off the wall he was leaning on and walked away. "Like I said, I don't remember most of it."

"Ready to get down to business, then?" Klaus asked, shutting the door he originally opened.

Stefan turned then. "Why am I still with you? We had our fun, your hybrids failed. I mean, don't you want to move on?"

Stefan had a point if Will had to be honest, though he knew that his opinion didn't matter much to Klaus. Unless it was with the shining man himself, but even still. Will wanted to agree with Stefan, vocally, but he knew that there was a chance that he'd spend his last moments on this planet with someone that put a block on where he wanted to be.

Klaus moved towards them both then. "We're going to see my favourite witch, given that our current one is struggling." Klaus gave Will a look then. "If anyone else can help us with our hybrid problem," the driver opened the door for Klaus to get in, "it's her."

"I'm sorry that I'm such a failure in your eyes, Niklaus," Will stated while rolling his eyes. Klaus gave him a look before getting into the car which made Will somewhat smile then. He knew that he shouldn't sprout anything that might end with Klaus giving him a warning, but there were times where it felt like Klaus was waiting for it.

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

"So, you want us to what?" Bodie asked with his arms crossed. He had both Damon and Elena in his living room who had just told him about the fact that Stefan and Klaus was in Chicago—along with Will and that was what caught their attention more than anything, though it made Bodie wonder exactly who they got their source from but at the same time he didn't care all that much.

"Not the pair of you," Damon said. He then pointed towards Bodie then. "Just you. Your little witch stays here for compensation."

Bodie gave him a look—as did Henry. "You do realise that if you continue to disrespect either myself or Henry, I will have to skin you? I don't appreciate any of this."

Elena sighed. "Damon, please." She looked towards Bodie then. "Look, you know Klaus, it's clear than anything, plus you're an Original. If that means you're the oldest and where vampires started from you, you're clearly more able to take on Klaus if needed to be. We just want your help, but we don't want Henry to risk himself, Klaus is stronger, I don't want anyone else to get hurt."

There was something about the way that Elena considered Henry's safety when it came to going against Klaus that made Bodie like her, though he knew that he shouldn't, but even still. Though, the thought that even before they decided to leave, they wanted to ask for his help of all people—a part of him thought that Damon didn't trust her, or even the fact that Damon would allow her to be in the same room as him. Yet, even with the surprises, there was a part of him which wondered what their reaction would be if he admitted that both he and Klaus were ex's.

He didn't want to tell them, but it was a thought. But even if Bodie was to go against Klaus, he would take it. He knew that he couldn't risk having Henry there knowing that there was a big likelihood that William was there as well, and that was a risk that he wasn't so willing to take anymore. He knew that Henry wanted to know if his brother was safe, but at the same time, he didn't want Klaus to get his hands on both brothers once more.

"I'm not staying here!" Henry huffed. "If you're going after Klaus and Stefan in Chicago, then I should have the ability to go for my brother's sake. He needs me and the last thing that I want him to think is that I don't care."

Bodie groaned slightly then. "Sorry, Henry, it'll be safer if you do stay here. If there's a chance that Klaus could take you or use you to get to me, then he'll take it. Its Klaus, Henry, I want you to be safe. Your brother would want you to be safe than dead, plus he'd kill me if I let anything happen to you."

"Do you want me to throw you through a window?" Henry huffed. "I don't want to stay here, if William's out there with Klaus, then I don't want to stay here!"

There was a moment then where everyone fell silent. Bodie knew that the others knew about Will, had seen him—from what Henry had told them—and the fact that the others knew that Will wasn't a normal witch like Bonnie, but something else, something a lot physically stronger than what either of the Salvatore brothers were.

"You know Will Woodford?" Elena asked. "The witch hybrid?"

Bodie swallowed then. "Yes. I turned him centuries ago, he asked to be turned."

Elena and Damon shared a look. Damon then looked towards Henry then. "Sneaky bastard."

"As much as I would love to get into this entire concealing the truth of what Henry is, there is other things that we need to worry ourselves over," Bodie cut in before anything else could be said. "Yes, Henry lied but for good reason, yes we know William Woodford, now can us three please go to Chicago to do whatever it is you lot plan to do." Bodie then turned to Henry. "You, stay here if anyone comes knocking for your help, help them. If you want to be a child with how I'm treating you, then so be it. We're not getting any younger here, so let's go."

Henry opened his mouth to say something then though he stopped when Bodie gave him a look. He ended up huffing in annoyance and crossed his arms while Elena and Damon were basically dragged out by Bodie who already was done with people and being around people as a whole. The pair—Elena and Damon—were huffing about Bodie dragging them which Bodie expecting but if it meant getting them out of his house then he might as well drag them.

Bodie didn't stop dragging them until they got to what Bodie presumed to be Damon's car before he unhanded them. Damon sorted out his jacket while glaring at Bodie, there was a moment where Bodie thought that he was gonna hear something sarcastic or threatening from Damon, but when he didn't he was satisfied enough that he decided to comment.

"Vampire annoyance sits in the back," Bodie commented. "I'll drive. I think I know where they'd be."

"One, you're not driving my car. Two, how'd you know where they are if I never told you where we're going?" Damon asked, going round to the driver's side.

"One, I do what I want, and that includes using your car for my own needs. Two, I know that Klaus was only ever in Chicago once, I had Will track him for me when I needed to know. If it's the same area, then I'll know where he is, meaning I'll know where your brother is." Bodie responded. Bodie then was beside Damon then, holding out his hand. "If you would be ever so kind."

Damon gave him a look of almost shock before looking to Elena who looked as if she wasn't amused by any of this but ultimately, Damon ended up giving Bodie the keys. "If you do anything that puts Elena at harm, I will make sure to kill you and Henry."

"You are one cocky young vampire, now aren't you." Bodie found himself grinning. "And so disrespectful. If I wanted to hurt either of you, I would have done it two months ago when I first stepped foot into Mystic Falls. Or, I could screw you all over and tell Klaus that the Doppelganger that he thought he killed in the ritual is still alive."

   Thankfully, Damon didn't say anything.

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Bodie was overly enjoying the drive to Chicago, they had rock music blasting through the radio which was something to distract Bodie enough from the fact that he was driving towards the man that betrayed him so long ago. He knew that he shouldn't even think about going towards Klaus, knowing that there was a small chance that Klaus would have found him to apologise, but he knew that this wasn't about him. It was about Henry, and Bodie needed to do this for Henry.

Over the course of their journey, Bodie really wasn't sure on how long they were on the road for, if anything he was too much in his own head throughout it. There were moments where he was lost mainly because of the thought of being close to Klaus once more after so long, or even the thought that he was going to see William once more. Of course, adding in the thought of the fact that all that was going through his head or cutting his thoughts off was the music.

"I sure hope we find him, cause it would suck if the last memento of Stefan was that crappy old necklace," Damon stated in the back of the car. Bodie knew that the pair of them tried to speak to him when it came to everything but considering that Bodie decided to be in his own world, they stopped bugging him about it as a whole.

However, the minute that Damon mentioned something about the necklace that Elena wore, he took notice of it. There was something about it that was over familiar, like he'd seen someone else wear it, someone that he knew to have worn it a while ago.

"It's an antique, Damon." Elena responded from beside Bodie. "Like you."

Bodie somewhat smiled at that. Though, the one thing that Bodie didn't expect was to see a book just appear between the pair of them. "Read this," Damon said, though the book was more in Elena's direction than anything else which was to be expected. "Paints a pretty little picture of Stefan's first experience in Chicago."

"It's Stefan's diary," Elena stated with the book in her hand. "I'm not going to invade his private thoughts."

"You need to be prepared for what you're about to see." Damon countered.

"I've seen Stefan in his darkest periods. I can handle it." Elena said almost a little confident. There was something about Elena's confidence in this supernatural world that amused Bodie just as a whole. Though he couldn't tell if she was just bullshitting it at all.

Damon—who had the diary back in his possession, opened the diary. "Here's one. March 12th, 1922." He began. "'I've blacked out days, I wake up in strangers' blood, in places I don't recognise with women I don't remember.' Ah!" Damon gasped, "I'm shocked. Stefan's not a virgin?"

"Stop being a prick," Elena snapped, stealing the diary back.

"Great. Back to my game, Bodie," Damon said, turning his attention. "Tell me if you see a Florida plate."

Bodie rolled his eyes then. "God, Damon, do you ever shut up?"

"Not until you tell me something of use." Damon responded. "Like what Henry is. What you truly are. Why you're here."

Bodie hummed. "All that I will tell will be said in due time. Though, for now, can we just focus on doing whatever we need to?"

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Will, Stefan, and Klaus walked into a bar, one which seemed familiar for Klaus—and possibly Stefan—but for Will, all he wanted to do was go home. He just didn't want to be here anymore, and though he promised Klaus that he would stay, by his side, there was a part of him which wasn't sure how much longer he could deal with any of this.

"Looks familiar, doesn't it?" Klaus asked.

"I can't believe this place is still here," Stefan said.

"You got to be kidding me," Gloria spoke. Will was familiar with Gloria, but not enough to know her personally. He knew that she was a witch, someone who lived longer than expected for reasons that he wasn't too sure on—of course the reason was something not immortal-like.

"So, a hybrid walks into a bar says to the bartender. . ."

"Stop," Gloria cut Klaus off then. "You may be invincible, but that doesn't make you funny. I remember you."

"Yeah, you're Gloria," Stefan said. It made Will realise that he wasn't the one that Gloria was talking to—not like he cared that much given that he didn't come to Chicago much, but there was a part of him which thought witches would know more of each other. He didn't know, his mind wasn't making much sense to him anymore. "Shouldn't you be. . ."

"Old and dead?" Gloria finished. "Now if I die, who's going to run this place, huh?"

"Gloria's a very powerful witch," Klaus stated. "Dare I say, more powerful than you, William."

It was then that Gloria gave Will a small smile. "I can slow the ageing down some. Herbs and spells. But don't worry, it'll catch up to me one day."

"Stefan, why don't you go and fix us up a little something from behind the bar." Klaus said, turning to Stefan.

Stefan smiled slightly, though turned and headed towards the bar. "Yeah, sure thing."

When Stefan was away, Klaus turned back to Gloria. "You look ravishing, by the way."

"Don't." Gloria said. The remaining three sat around a table then, Klaus signalled for Will to stay by his side. "I know why you're here. A hybrid out to make more hybrids? That kind of news travels."

"So, what am I doing wrong?" Klaus asked. "I broke the curse."

"Obviously, you did something wrong." Gloria stated. "Look, every spell has a loophole—your heretic friend can confirm this—but a curse that old, we'd have to contact the witch who created it."

"Well, that would be the original witch," Klaus told. Will knew from Bodie that it was Klaus' mother who put the curse on Klaus that bound his other side and that Klaus' mother was dead. But there was just something unsettling about the thought of knowing that there was a chance that they were going to contact her. "She's very dead."

"I know." Gloria said. "And for me to contact her, I'll need help. Bring me Rebekah."

Will tilted his head at that, he knew from Bodie that Klaus had other siblings other than Elijah—after all, Bodie made him track Kol via his ring when they were in Wembley—but Will wasn't quite familiar with the fact that Klaus had a sister. At least he presumed that Rebekah was Klaus' sister.

"Rebekah," Klaus repeated. "Rebekah is a bit preoccupied."

"She has what I need," Gloria told. "Bring her to me. For compensation, I'll keep William with me."

Klaus was about to say something—as was Will—though, before either of them had the chance to say something, Stefan spoke up. "What is this?"

The three turned to Stefan, taking notice of the fact that in Stefan's hands was a photograph of whatever. Will presumed that it was of both Stefan and Klaus, given that all this trip was, was pretty much a trip down memory lane for the pair of them even though it's clear that Stefan doesn't seem to remember a thing.

"Well, I told you, Stefan," Klaus said, standing up. "Chicago's a magical place."

Stefan looked down to the photo in his hands and then back up to Klaus. "But this is me. With you." Stefan showed the photo towards Klaus, showing that it was exactly what it was—a photo of the pair of them looking like they knew each other quite well.

As much as Will wanted to say that he was interested, he would have to argue against all of it and say that he really didn't have the energy to enjoy any of this. Knowing that the pair knew each other and knowing that Stefan didn't remember it—whether it was because of Stefan being a ripper or not—it was clear to Will, at least, that there was a chance that Klaus could have compelled Stefan to forget everything that there was to do with Klaus.

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Henry opened the front door of his and Bodie's house to be greeted by Tyler who looked concerned as a whole. There was something about the way that Tyler looked as a whole with his worried expression that made Henry wonder as to what was going on just as a whole.

"Have you seen Caroline at all?" Tyler asked as he walked into Henry's home.

Henry couldn't help but give Tyler a confused look. "No, I haven't. I haven't seen her since Elena's party, even then, it's been a while."

Tyler turned to give Henry a look. "She's been taken, I think. I don't know. My mom done something, and she believed that I was a vampire because of Caroline, and I just. . ." He trailed off and sighed. "I don't know, I came here because of the off chance that she might just appear here."

"I could track her, if you like." Henry suggested. "Though, why would she come here? We're not that close."

Tyler shook his head then. "I don't know, man. I don't know. I just. . .I thought that there was a chance that she would be here for any supernatural shit."

"Have you tried her mother?" Henry asked, giving Tyler a look.

"I was going to go over there afterwards," Tyler told. "That's why I came here to begin with. Sorry, I'm just overthinking for Caroline's safety, thinking that there's a chance that she could have been here."

Henry gave Tyler a look then. "Let's go. I don't want to explain to Elena why her friends possibly murdered. Given this town has a bad history with vampire's, the last thing I want is Caroline being dead."

That made Tyler give him a look then. "You think that she could be dead?"

"Could be if we stay here a little longer than needed." Henry told.

That was enough for Tyler to get out of the door and for Henry to follow suit. He didn't actually think that Caroline could be dead, but there was a small nagging feeling in the back of his mind which was afraid that she might be. Though, at the same time he wasn't sure if it was because he was worried about Will and his safety, god, he wished that he went with Bodie and the others rather than stay here, but he supposed that Bodie would've found a way for him to stay.

Tyler took the pair of them to where Caroline lived, on the way, Tyler apologised for asking if Caroline was there considering that he already knew—or had an idea—about what happened to Caroline thanks to his mother who was the one who had a hand in kidnapping Caroline.

There was something about how Tyler talked about his worry for Caroline which made him somewhat smile, though at the same time, there was this sinking feeling within him. He knew that it probably meant nothing, that there was no reason as to why he should feel whatever it was that he felt, Caroline and Tyler clearly had something going on between them and Henry was just some random hybrid that lied to the pair of them about what he was who was only here because of his brother.

"Tyler," Henry said, mistakenly cutting off what Tyler was saying. "I know that we're heading to save Caroline from whoever, but when Damon and Elena get back from Chicago, I want you to hear this from me and no one else."

"What is it?" Tyler asked, confused.

"I've been lying to all of you since I first met you." Henry told, leaning his head back. "Well, partly. I just haven't told you all the full truth." He looked towards Tyler then who quickly glanced at him. "I know that you're still getting familiar to this world—the supernatural world at least—and I know that I've told you all that I'm a witch, which is true. But in this world, there's different kinds of witches, there's a coven of witches that can produce witches that can take magic from a place or being that holds magic. They're called Siphoner witches, and they're the only type of witches that can become vampires without losing their magic ability."

For a moment there was silence between the two of them, though Tyler then began to stutter over his words for a brief moment. "What are you saying?"

"I'm a hybrid, Tyler," Henry confessed. "I'm a witch and a vampire. And two months ago—roughly—your friends were up against another one like me. My brother who's currently with Klaus and Stefan. My brother is the reason why I'm in this town."

"I thought. . .I thought that you lived with your brother?" Tyler asked. There was something about the way that Tyler tensed which Henry became aware of quite clearly.

"I have two brothers. One that's the same as me, and another that's an Original Vampire," Henry explained. "But, I don't want this all to mean that my friendship to you or Caroline means nothing, I was only doing what I was told to do, and I want to be honest with all of you—plus I know that given time, Damon or Elena would share all of this to all of you soon."

Tyler sighed then. "Look, man, I don't understand any of this fully, but if this is something that's concerning for you to tell me, then, it's all fine. Just, don't end up trying to murder all of us for whatever reason."

Henry found himself laughing at that. "The last thing that I want to do is murder the first group of people that were more than willing to put up with me."

There was a small silence then and for a moment, Henry was worried that there was a chance that he just ruined any kind of pre-existing friendship that he had with Tyler. But even still, even with his slight worry, the silence that they were in was comfortable enough that Henry didn't feel the need to say anything else.

It took the pair of them via car another five minutes to get to the Forbes household. The pair got out of the car and Tyler was in front.

The first thing that Henry took notice of was the sound of Liz Forbes voice over the phone. "Caroline! It's mom. Just coming up for air after a few all-nighters at the station. I thought we'd have lunch, and you could remind me I promised not to work so hard."

It was then that Tyler knocked on the door which made Liz turn around to see the pair of them standing there.

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Bodie parked the car outside—or well, near—where Stefan used to live. Damon debated with him about that they should park outside, but Bodie fought against him, saying that if they didn't want to be caught quite yet, then they should make their presence within Chicago a little more secret. Of course, Damon didn't have much of a say even if Damon did argue that it was his car and that he had more say in where it should be parked but Bodie ignored him once more.

By the time that they parked and headed up, Bodie knew that he already managed to piss Damon off which was enough for him. Bodie knew that there was a chance that he needed them to be his friends and such, but what was friendship if he didn't piss them—specifically Damon—off beforehand? Who was Bodie to deny himself some fun beforehand?

Damon leaded the way to where Stefan used to live during his time in Chicago, and although Bodie shouldn't have expected more from a ripper who was driven by nothing more than the hunt, there was a part of him which did. He thought that Stefan would have found a nicer place for him to stay, but Bodie had to remind himself that he would have been the one to find a decent place to live.

"Stefan could live anywhere in Chicago, and he chose this?" Elena asked when they walked down the hallway leading to the apartment.

"There used to be an all-girls high school around the corner," Damon explained, "but it shut down for attendance issues. Weird."

They paused at the door for a brief moment then. Elena somewhat tiled her head then. "If you're trying to scare me into giving up and going back, it's not going to work."

"Shh," Damon hushed. He then broke the doorhandle of the door and pushed the door open. "Here we are. Stefan's second personality home."

Elena and Bodie walked in behind. Elena looked around for a moment, and Bodie didn't really care much for how Stefan decorated—how could he if all that was going through his mind was that there was a chance that he was going to see Klaus again as well as William. Both of which probably didn't want to see him—there was just a part of him which wondered if Will was annoyed at him for stealing his brother away. Yet again, a part of him didn't care much.

"Pretty obvious he hasn't been here." Elena said.

"Tour's not over yet." Damon stated.

"There could be countless of places that Klaus, Stefan, and Will could be, I highly doubted that the first place that we would see them would be in an apartment." Bodie said. He wasn't really saying it because he wanted them to know his thoughts, more the fact that it needed to be said.

If anything, if they were in Chicago, then they were here for a reason that could link towards Klaus not being able to make Hybrids without them going all Dawn of the Dead on him. And as much as Bodie would like to see zombified Hybrids go after Klaus, he'd much rather just have the world as it is.

"Thank you for your input that no one asked for." Damon said, walking towards a built-in cabinet. Damon ran his finger down one side and then it clicked, allowing Damon to open it. Inside was a dark room that looked ordinary, like there was meant to be weapons hidden away.

Damon motioned for Elena to take a look inside before going in himself to turn on a lightbulb. The light from the bulb showed a stack of alcohol on multiple shelves. There was something about it that made Bodie somewhat shake his head, if this was what they came here for then Bodie was just tempted to drive his ass back to Mystic Falls and just stay there. He honestly didn't know why he came here just to look at Stefan's secret stash of alcohol.

"Stefan hid his alcohol." Elena commented. "What a monster."

Damon looked like that he wasn't impressed, though what else did Damon expect. "Look harder."

Elena moved closer, stepping inside and Bodie would admit, if there was something that if there was something worth to seeing inside, he was intrigued to see what it was. So, Bodie decided to peer over Elena's head to see that there was a list of names that looked like a hit list, though Bodie had a feeling that he knew what it was for.

"It's a list of names," Elena said. Damon hummed at that. "These are all of his victims?"

By the looks of it, it looked like that there could be hundreds of names written on wall given that there was at least three columns full of names. Bodie would say that he was impressed that Stefan went out of his way to keep a list of people that he's killed written down. It made Bodie wonder just how many people he killed himself.

"Still handling it?" Damon asked, walking out of the hidden cupboard.

Bodie ended up turning away, not because he was shocked but because he was just too much in his own world wondering how many people he killed himself. He knew that nothing was a comparison, but there was just something in him that was surprised about the fact that Stefan killed so many people within his darkest times.

"What were you doing in the 1920s? Paving the way for women's liberation?" Elena asked after a moment.

"I was around. Chicago's a big city." Damon explained. "Stefan was a cocky ripper douche. But I could avoid him and still indulge in a few Daisy Buchanan's of my own."

Elena made a disgusted noise then, taking notice that both Damon and Bodie were heading to leave. "Where are you two going?"

"His old stomping ground," Damon explained. "Bodie's coming with just in case the big bad decides to attack."

Elena, with her arms crossed, looked between the two then. "I'm coming with you."

"No," Damon told. "You stay here and whip up an actual plan. We'll come back when we find him."

Bodie grinned at Elena then as the pair of them then left.

Turns out, Gloria didn't mean it when she said that Will was going to stay with her which meant that Will was once again dragged around by Stefan and Klaus as they walked through the same warehouse that they arrived to—or at least that's what Will thought they were. If anything, Will was really tired and he just wanted everything to stop, it was moments like this where he really wondered if being here with Klaus was worth betraying Bodie all those years ago. All he wanted right now was to be by Bodie and Henry's side once more.

"This doesn't make any sense." Stefan said with the picture still in his hand. "Why don't I remember you?"

"You said it yourself, that time had a lot of dark holes." Klaus explained. If Will was someone that didn't know Klaus that well, or if he hadn't learned to pick up on some of the things that Klaus says that are the opposite, Will would have believed him—but considering that Will learned anything that he could about Klaus while stuck with him, William knew that Klaus was hiding something else.

"No, if you knew me, then why haven't you said anything?" Stefan asked.

They turned a corner then just as Klaus said: "I'm a little busy right now. Memory Lane will have to wait."

Stefan grabbed hold of Klaus' bicep and make Klaus turn to him then. "What the hell is going on? Answer me."

Klaus moved Stefan's hand off of him then. "Let's just say we didn't get off to a brilliant start. To be honest, I hated you."

Klaus then went into another part of his story about his history with Stefan, one that included his sister, Rebekah that Will never met, but he heard much about Klaus' sister from Bodie enough that it felt like Will was close to her.

"Your sister." Stefan said. "So, I knew another Original vampire."

Klaus then walked off then, leaving a bored witch and a confused Stefan behind. "If you can't handle it, then don't ask."

The one thing that Will took notice of was the fact that Klaus walked up to a line of coffins which—thanks to Bodie again—Will knew contained Klaus' siblings. Will remembered when Bodie made him track Kol before everything went to shit, which was something that unexpectedly brought him pain. He knew that he needed to push the thoughts of Bodie and Henry out of his head, but he couldn't.

Both Will and Stefan followed Klaus, Will took notice of the way that Klaus opened up one coffin to see what Will described to be a beautiful blonde laying with a dagger in her chest. Rebekah. Will had been told that Rebekah was beautiful, whether it be by Bodie or those that knew the Originals, but he never used to believe then, though now that he saw her, he couldn't help but agree. Klaus smiled as he looked down at his sister and gently touched her face then.

"I don't recognize her." Stefan said, looking over.

"Well, don't tell her that." Klaus told. "Rebekah's temper is worse than mine." Klaus then casted a look towards Will then. "Kindly keep your mouth shut, I know that look and I would hate to explain to your brother why you're no longer breathing."

Will gave Klaus a look then, but Klaus wasn't looking considering that Klaus took hold of the dagger and pulled it out of her chest.

"Time to wake up, little sister," Klaus said. She didn't, she stayed there, lying dead. Klaus turned to look at Stefan and Will then for a short moment. "Any day now, Rebekah. She's being dramatic."

Will would have said something, but he couldn't find the words to say anything. All that was going through his head was the fact that he found Rebekah beautiful—though he knew that Klaus would have his head if he ever decided to sprout those words. He'd rather keep what he thought away from Klaus, given that it's clear that Klaus knew what he was already thinking.

"Look, why don't you just tell me what the hell is going on? I mean, you obviously want me here for a reason, right?" Stefan asked with his arms crossed.

"Well, you have many useful talents," Klaus admitted.

   "Do I?"

Klaus continued as if he didn't hear Stefan's question. "In fact, I learned some of my favourite tricks from you."

Again, Klaus decided to go into a detailed explanation of the things that Stefan done that Klaus enjoyed when they knew each other. For a moment, Will thought that it would never end, though when Klaus turned on his feet after closing the lid of Rebekah's coffin, Will knew that Klaus was about to finish.

Will—who'd ended up in his own little world—didn't like the thought that if Rebekah were to wake up and the coffin being shut. He was about to do something about it, though Stefan—despite him being confused over what Klaus explained to him—caught his arm, making Will move.

"I was your number one fan," Klaus told, heading towards the exit.

"Why should I believe any of this?" Stefan asked.

Will wanted to cry then, a part of him really couldn't be bothered with any of this anymore. He wanted to go home, he really wanted to go home and see the people who wouldn't drag him around for the sake of it. He knew that this was his own fault, he knew that he should've stayed with Bodie and his own brother, but the thought of working beside Klaus and not making an enemy out of him seemed ideal at the time. Plus, he thought that it would be best, like he could give Bodie some updates on Klaus if needed to be.

Klaus didn't respond, he stopped in front of a guard then who he'd compelled beforehand. "When she wakes up, tell her to meet us at Gloria's bar, then volunteer your carotid artery and let her feed until you die."

The guard nodded. "Where are you going?" Stefan had asked when Klaus walked away after the nod.

"You think I'm lying, Stefan. You and I knew each other. You trusted me with one of your secrets and now I'm going to prove it to you," Klaus told.

   "How?"

"We're going to your old apartment," Klaus informed.

Bodie and Damon walked into Gloria's bar which was too busy for Bodie's liking, though he couldn't tell if that was because he was hungry or not. Either way, he had a feeling that he was going to murder someone soon, it was just depending on whether it was Damon or someone else. Though, saying that, Damon hadn't annoyed him like the car journey here, it seemed like Damon would rather keep things as civil than anything, however it lead to the thought of Damon knowing that he couldn't kill Bodie without consequence.

The pair went towards the bar, and it was there that they took notice of a woman, a woman that Bodie knew to be Gloria—as did Damon. Bodie knew that she was a witch, a witch that should be long dead, but Bodie also knew that witches would find a way as and when they wanted to.

Gloria looked up to the pair of them, her eyes scanning over the pair of them, though lingered over Bodie a little longer than what he expected. "Well, look what the wind blew in." She looked towards Damon then, "Last I heard, you hated this place." She then looked back to Bodie. "And I'm surprised to see the Hybrid in all his glory right here in my bar."

Bodie could basically feel Damon's confusion at that, and it was something that he found somewhat amusing. "Gloria, good to see you."

"Gloria. Damn," Damon said, as if to cover up his confusion. "If I knew you were going to age like this, I would have stuck around."

Gloria somewhat smiled at that. "I always did like you better, Damon, but I see your brother is still running in the wrong crowd. Though, the one thing that I'm glad about is that you seemed to join someone whose better."

Damon then looked at Bodie—who smiled—before looking back to Gloria. "You've seen him?"

"With Klaus. Bad combo." Gloria told as she poured a drink. "He's also with one of those Heretic boys, one that you turned, Bodie. William."

Something about the mention of William and Klaus made Bodie stiffen slightly. As much as he knew that they were together, there was just something about the thought that set something off within him, something that made him wish that he could turn around. Though, despite what he felt because of Klaus and Will, he needed to stay for Henry's sake, he needed to talk to Will or even Klaus just in hopes that it might lead to something that might be worth it. He wanted to get Will back just because of Henry, but at the same time he's not sure if there's something bigger that he needs to know, something that he would need to find out from Klaus. Though, he knew that if he spoke to either Will or Klaus about this, then there was a chance that they wouldn't tell him.

"You know where they went?" Damon asked.

Gloria reached down from behind the bar to grab something. "They'll be back here later tonight. They're out running a little errand for me." She pushed two drinks towards the pair then.

"Gloria," Damon began, reaching out to touch her then. "Don't be a tease. What kind of errand?"

Gloria smiled then. "Mmm, I don't think so. You may be cute, but you're still a vampire." She then moved away from Damon then and walked away from the pair of them.

Bodie looked at Damon then with a smug smile before deciding to follow Gloria down the bar. He knew that Damon would be asking him about the entire Hybrid shit which he would happily explain, but at the same time, he didn't have the energy to do it right now.

   "Gloria," Bodie muttered.

She looked up at him then, giving him a small smile. "I'm not telling either of you on what I sent them to do."

"I know, I'm not here for that." Bodie told. "I mean, as much as I want to know, I know to keep out of a witch's business, and if you sent Klaus of all people to do it for you, I know it's something important to you. But, like I said, I'm not here to know."

"Then why are you here?" Gloria asked. "I know about your history with Klaus, Bodie, I know that you both had a bad break up with you triggering your curse. If you're here to ask me where he is just to get back at him for whatever that break up was about, then you haven't got a deal."

"No, no, forget about Klaus," Bodie told. "I want to know about William. His brother's worried about him. Forty years is the longest time that they've been apart since I turned them, and when we heard that Will was still with Klaus, you can understand our concern for Will. Did Will say anything to you? Or give anything to you which might indicate that he's not okay or whatever?"

Gloria bowed her head and let out a sigh. "Look, I was going to try and keep him here, not because of knowing that you would come but because I didn't trust that Will was with Klaus of all people. Especially without you. It's known that you have two heretics by your side, and when I saw that Klaus had one by his side, I knew that something was up. I couldn't keep him here because Klaus would have caught onto my worry and that's the last thing that I would have wanted to happen."

"Okay, okay," Bodie said. "But did he say anything?"

Gloria shook her head slightly then. "Only that if you ever caught up to him that he'll try and get away. That's it, he couldn't say anymore not unless Klaus got wind of it."

Bodie somewhat nodded at that. "Okay, okay. Thank you."

"What a charming little homestead," Klaus commented as the three made their way to Stefan's old apartment. Will didn't know what to expect but given that he knew his opinions didn't matter much, he kept quiet. He knew that there was more of a reason—or Will was trying to justify a reason—as to why they were here, but at the same time, he just felt as if this was just for memory lane, which then went into the fact that he wished that he stayed with Gloria.

They got to the door and for a moment, Will thought that his mind was playing with him given that there was no door handle. A part of him thought that he'd made it invisible for whatever reason though realised that he wouldn't do that given that he wasn't that comfortable with that kinda spell quite yet—he knew Henry was, but he knew that the likelihood of Henry being here was low, right? God, now he had the worry just in case Henry was here, he didn't want to worry about what Klaus would do to his brother.

Klaus had given the pair—though he mainly glared at Will as if he done something—before kicking the door open. He took a few steps inside the apartment while both Stefan and Will leaned against the doorframe outside looking in and watching Klaus. "Do you feel that?" Klaus asked with his finger raised as if it was meant to be accusatory. Stefan took a few steps in but paused while Klaus turned to face the door. "Is anybody here?"

Stefan walked in, looking around then. "It's been vacant for decades. People must break in all the time." He looked at Klaus then. "Why'd you bring me here?"

Klaus—who'd been looking around still as if to be sure—turned back to Stefan then. "Your friend, Liam Grant, the one who drank his wife's blood. I never could figure out why you wanted his name. And then you told me your little secret, it was all part of your special little ritual."

"To write it down." Stefan said, as if he was remembering it.

Will looked between the pair more confused than what he'd been since they stepped foot into Chicago. He knew that there were some vampires that done specific things when it came to the kill, but he felt like he was out of loop already with all of this.

"And relive the kill," Klaus added. "Over and over again."

There was this smile on Klaus' face then more so when he turned and headed towards the cabinet and opened it towards himself. For a brief moment, Will thought that he heard something, like there was someone inside, but he thought that his mind was playing tricks on him, so he shook it off.

"You believe me now?" Klaus asked, looking back at Stefan.

Stefan—who looked shocked—went forward then to look inside. Klaus watched as he did so, though once Stefan looked around inside where presumably the names were written, he turned around and looked around a little more. There was a brief moment where Klaus looked towards Will with this small look which made Will wonder as to what it was for.

"Look what I found." Stefan said after a moment. Will thought that there was a chance of something important, but it wasn't—it was just a bottle of alcohol. "1918." Stefan walked out then. "Single malt."

"My favourite," Klaus said. Will looked between them both and for a moment he thought that he had flashbacks of Bodie and Klaus which made him realise that there was a part of him which somewhat missed seeing them together which didn't make sense to him in the slightest considering that he'd much rather see Bodie in a relationship with someone else. Klaus took the bottle into his hand then. "Let's go and find someone to pair it with."

Klaus then walked past Will then—Will had decided to stay outside of the room primarily because he didn't have much energy to enter in the first place.

Will found himself smiling for a moment then. "Any special someone you'd want to share it with?" He said it towards Klaus then.

Klaus looked towards him with a look. "If you're thinking of who I feel like it is, then I might have to send him your hands."

Will rose his hands then. "I'm surprised that I don't have to mention him by name."

"Who?" Stefan asked when he caught up to the pair of them.

Will smiled then, though Klaus glared at him. "Just someone from my past that I don't want to run into once again."

Stefan gave the pair an odd look and looked as if he was going to ask the same question once more though he didn't. There was something about the way that Stefan looked towards Klaus about this that made Will wonder as to what the fuck was going on—he assumed that Klaus had more of an interest within Stefan not just because he was a ripper or because of whatever happened before, but because of something more.

Bodie and Damon had made their way back to Stefan's old apartment after Elena called Damon to tell him about what happened. And Damon, being Damon, made Bodie come back with him just to see what the hell happened, though Bodie made them pause for a moment just so that Bodie could crack a vein from someone. Damon did try and ask Bodie what Gloria meant by Bodie being a hybrid, but Bodie refused to answer a single question other than the fact that he was an original and that Damon didn't need to know anything else other than that.

Bodie was the one to kick the door open and walked in with Damon behind. Elena looked as if she'd been hiding behind one of the walls with a knife in her hand which made Bodie somewhat scoff at internally knowing that the knife would be utterly useless if it was anyone else other than them.

"Finally!" Elena yelled. "I called you an hour ago."

Bodie help up his hand slightly while Damon basically threw a bag into her arms. "Make yourself presentable. We know where Stefan's going to be tonight."

"I told you that I was practically discovered by Klaus and your worried about what I'm wearing?" Elena asked.

Damon—who'd sat down—seemed as if he didn't want to be there. "I had an hour to realise what a bad idea it was to leave you here alone, process it, and move on."

"Plus, even if you were taken by Klaus, William would have protected you." Bodie added. "As much as he doesn't care for anyone, he wouldn't let someone innocent die. Even against Klaus he would."

Elena looked at him then as if she were about to argue about what Will did to her that Bodie didn't know, but she didn't. Though, even still, there was something in her that relaxed a little.

   "Are you okay?" Damon asked.

   Elena nodded. "Yeah."

"Okay good. Get dressed." Damon told. "You're all road-trippy and gross."

Elena gave Damon a look then and then took a few steps towards them then. "So, you know where he's going to be?"

"Yes, with Klaus." Damon told. Damon went to continue but ultimately was cut off.

"—I'll distract Klaus," Bodie cut in. "I know Klaus well enough that I can distract him more than what you can. Though Damon will be talking to William, while you, Elena, talk to Stefan."

"That isn't what we agreed," Damon argued then.

Bodie shrugged. "Tough shit, it's what we're doing. I know Klaus better than anyone, my presence alone would cause a big enough distraction for you both to talk to the people Klaus is with without Klaus getting involved."

"What's your connection with him again?" Elena asked.

Bodie found himself smiling. "He's my ex-boyfriend. We fell out forty years ago in England."

Elena looked at him with surprise then. "You two dated?"

"Your gay?" Damon asked at the same time as Elena.

"I'm Bi." Bodie told. "And yes, we did date."

There was a moment of silence then as if neither Damon nor Elena wanted to comment on it as a whole. Though, after a good few seconds of nothing, Elena somewhat shrugged.

Bodie then turned to Damon. "Also, Damon, unless you wanna live, don't piss of Will. He'll kill you if you do, he'll torture the fuck out of you and then rip your heart out."

"And Klaus won't do the same to you?" Damon asked.

Bodie grinned then. "I can only be killed by the white oak stake. I can't die."

"How will we know that we can trust you? Trust that you won't betray us?" Elena asked.

Bodie shrugged then. "I have someone to loose. If I betray you, then I lose both Will and Henry, and that's something that I can't have."

Will, Klaus, and Stefan sat in Gloria's bar after returning from their trip out. Something within Will told him that there was something that he needed to do, something within him that wanted to do something that he wasn't too sure on. He felt the need to walk around as if to prevent something that might happen. But at the same time, he knew that he was being dramatic, that there wasn't anything that he needed to do other than rethink all of his life choices which makes him believe this.

He ended up leaning against the bar with his head in his hands and feeling like his head was spinning. The world was spinning to fast in his head, and he couldn't hold on, though he couldn't tell if he was just hungry or not. He knew that he already ate, but at the same time, his entire head was confusing him, so he really wasn't sure just as a whole.

"Where's Rebekah?" Gloria asked. Will found himself jumping slightly, not in a bad way but just because he forgot that people existed despite everything seemed to be on max volume to him.

"She'll be here," Klaus told. God everything seemed loud to Will and it was pissing him off as a whole. "I can't just conjure her on demand."

Gloria gave him a look then before walking away.

"What's with you?" Klaus asked, turning to Stefan. "I thought Chicago was your playground."

"So, this is why you asked me to be your wingman?" Stefan asked, turning towards Klaus then. Will was on the other side of Klaus. "Because you liked the way that I tortured innocent people?"

"Well, that's certainly half of it." Klaus told.

   "What's the other half?"

"The other half, Stefan," Klaus said, pouring three shots, "is that you used to want to be my wingman."

Klaus then went into his explanation of the past with Stefan once more and it made Will want to cry. He's had enough of listening to the past, he just wanted to go back to the people that didn't bore him out of his mind.

Tyler, Henry, and Sheriff Forbes made their way towards this cellar, one which made Henry overly uncomfortable. On the way, Tyler explained everything to Liz about what his mother did and such which was enough for Liz to apparently know where Caroline was, though there was something about Liz's story which made Henry believe that it wasn't true, but he tried to keep it to his self.

So, the three ended up going to this cellar where they presumed Caroline would be. Liz told the pair of them to stay behind her which Henry didn't argue with. A part of him thought that doing this was better than the nothing that Bodie made him do even if all he was doing was making sure that Caroline got away from all of this.

As weird as it was, Henry liked Caroline quite a bit in the short time that he's known her, though he knew that nothing more could come from their friendship, he was just glad that there was someone like her that existed in his life. He was glad that he met Caroline and even Tyler. Henry never thought that he would have friends outside of his brother and Bodie, which made him appreciate Bodie telling him to make friends with Elena and the rest of her friends.

Liz cocked her gun towards the older guy who just came out of one of the cellars which caused the man to look up at her then. "Hello, Bill."

"Put the gun down, Liz." Bill said. "I know what I'm doing."

"That's our daughter in there," Liz stated. And here Henry thought that his family was shit. "She looks up to you. She loves you."

"Then she'll trust me to do the right thing." Bill said. "Let me do this, Liz. Not because she's a monster, but because we love her."

There was a small pause of silence which made Henry think that there was a chance that Liz would allow this, but Henry realised that he was just overthinking it as a whole. "Tyler, Henry," she called out.

The pair came out at the door at the top of the spiral staircase. Tyler looked down for a brief moment while Henry already made his way down to the room that Bill was standing outside of. The second that Henry placed his feet on the solid ground, Bill took a step towards him.

"You're not going in there," Bill stated. Liz shot at the wall next to him and though he had a clear reaction to it, Henry decided to take it a step further and decided to pin Bill against the wall with his magic.

   "Go ahead," Liz said.

Tyler gave Henry a look then and Henry nodded which was enough for Tyler to go towards the locked door and open it. He pushed the door wide and took a few steps inside.

   "Tyler?" Caroline asked weakly.

Tyler then disappeared into the room then and a few seconds later Henry heard the sounds of chains breaking. "It's okay. We're going to get you out of here." Three more chains broke then.

   "My ring," Caroline told.

There was nothing then for a moment and then Tyler came out carrying Caroline. That was enough for Henry to let Bill go from his hold and bend down to pick up the blood bag that Bill dropped onto the floor when he came out originally.

"You compelled me to forget?" Stefan asked after Klaus finished his little story about why and how Stefan doesn't remember Klaus.

Will knew where this story was going, or he had a feeling that he knew where it was going. He knew—from what he heard from Bodie—that outside Klaus' family and a selected few people, Klaus didn't have that many friends due to their connection and use of leverage over him when it came to Klaus' father.

"It was time for Rebekah and I to move on." Klaus informed. "Better to have a clean slate." He then finished his drink.

"But why?" Stefan asked. "You shouldn't have to cover your tracks...unless you're running from someone."

"Storytime's over." Klaus stated giving Stefan a look.

Stefan, however, turned to look behind them. Will took notice of the slight tense in Stefan's shoulder then and followed Stefan's eyeline while Klaus was looking down at his hands. Will noticed Damon, he knew Damon due to his help on Klaus' side and the fact that when Elijah was with them, Will helped both sides. Of course, the sight of Damon made Will wonder as to who else was with Damon—part of Will hoped that it was Henry, he wanted to see his brother so much.

"I need another drink. A real one." Stefan stated, finishing his drink before leaving.

Klaus took hold of the bottle of alcohol and poured some more into both his and Will's cup. There was a moment where they didn't say anything, a moment that Will was overly used to. Given that silence was a way that the pair of them worked which was best, that and the fact that they realised that they both worked best if they kept the chatter to a minimal.

"Will." At first he thought that it was Klaus who whispered his name. "Will." It wasn't Klaus.

Will looked around to see that Bodie was standing were Damon was. The sight that it was Bodie here rather than Henry made Will panic a lot. If Klaus knew that Bodie was here then he was afraid for everyone's safety including the safety of both Klaus and Bodie. He already knew that Klaus was still pissed off at Bodie for everything that he done, but even still the thought that Bodie was here to do god knows what made him worry a lot more than expected.

"Hey, Klaus," Will began. Klaus looked at him. "I'm gonna join Stefan, that cool?"

Klaus pulled a look then. "Do what you want. But if I find that you're sending more messages to Henry, then you know what I'll do."

Will nodded and went towards the now vacant place that Bodie had been stood before leaving. The one thing that Will didn't expect was that he was left with Damon who grinned at him in a way that made him realise that there was a chance that he would have to murder someone before getting back.

Bodie, however, had decided that he was going to annoy his ex-boyfriend that probably would murder him on sight. He knew that he was doing this so that Stefan and Elena could talk, but at the same time he wondered if he was doing too much in terms of talking to Klaus just so that Damon wouldn't die at the hands of Klaus—though, yet again, Damon was just as likely going to be killed by Will than anything else. And even if Damon did die at Will's hand, then it's not really a loss, it's more like a success.

"Last call. Drink 'em up!" Gloria called out.

Bodie slid into the seat beside Klaus, trying to not get his thoughts all wrapped up when it comes to Klaus and the way that Klaus makes him feel.

"I see they've opened the doors to the riffraff now," Klaus said after a moment.

"I wouldn't say that I was riffraff, now Klaus," Bodie stated.

Bodie took notice on the slight tense in Klaus' shoulders then. Klaus then shifted to look at Bodie then, an attempt of hiding a smile on his face was clear though the slight tinge of anger which resonated behind Klaus' eyes.

"My Bodie." Klaus greeted. "I suppose you've come here to apologise for everything that happened?"

"Now, why would I apologise?" Bodie shot back. "No, that's not why I'm here."

"Hmm," Klaus hummed. "Why are you here?"

"To get you to agree with letting both Will and Stefan return back home," Bodie told. "Their brother's want them back, and you wouldn't want to keep family apart when your own family are locked away waiting to be woken up."

Something in Klaus twitched then, he lunged at Bodie then, taking him by the neck. Bodie let him, they both backed up from the bar and to a wall nearby with Klaus gripping onto Bodie's neck and with Bodie smiling to himself.

"You don't give up, do you?" Klaus asked. "You come back into my life after breaking my heart and demand that I give you want you want while you insult what I do."

Bodie hummed then. His mind kept going around with Klaus' touch on him. God, he realised that Klaus will always have a weird hold over him. Even still, Bodie moved forward as much as he could before Klaus forced him back. "Why would I give up? You let Will send those messages to Henry, why wouldn't I come and see you as the hybrid that you so longed to be?" He then gave Klaus a look then. "I never stopped caring, Klaus, but you broke my heart first."

Klaus stared at him with this almost blank expression that made the small part of Bodie that was always in love with Klaus want to reach out and touch Klaus' cheek as if to comfort him in some way. But that wasn't what Bodie wanted to do though, the one thing that he did do was just take in everything that was Klaus. He wasn't sure when the next time that he would see Klaus, and he intended to take in as much as he could as if his memories faded.

Klaus clenched his jaw then while he stared at Bodie then. "You are nothing to me." He tilted his head then. "You came here for nothing. What makes you think that I wouldn't kill you?"

"Because you don't have the stake to kill me," Bodie stated.

Klaus, being Klaus, didn't seem to like that answer all that well considering that he decided that he was going to throw Bodie across the bar. Bodie found himself grinning then more than before, more so when Klaus stood over him.

"You know, if you wanted a partner in crime, you could have asked me." Bodie suggested. "At least then, you know that you can do whatever the fuck you want with me more so than anyone else."

Klaus glared at him and although he knew that he should be afraid for his life—Bodie knew that whatever Klaus would decide to do to him was basically nothing unless he got the white oak. Though he knew that Klaus would find ways to torture the hell out of him, it was something that would bring something more into their relationship that already exists.

Bodie realised that Klaus held a normal wooden stake that he knew that wouldn't fully kill him but would be enough for Klaus to get some form of satisfaction from it. Either that or Klaus wanting time to get away—or maybe even take Bodie with him, knowing that if Bodie was against him, it would become too much for Klaus to handle, especially given that Henry was waiting for him.

"You know," Klaus began, "I was close in trying to ask you for your aid. Guess, that was a mistake. I'll get the white oak from you, though for now, I guess you'll have to enjoy a quick nap."

Bodie didn't move, he somewhat expected Klaus to stake him, that, and the fact that as much as he knew that he needed to be the distraction, there was just something about the rage that Klaus was enlisting towards him was something that he deserved. However, the one thing that Bodie really didn't expect to see was the fact that Gloria set the stake alight which caused Klaus to throw it away.

"Really?" Klaus asked, looking back quickly.

"Not in my bar." Gloria stated. "You take it outside."

Bodie briefly looked up then, though Klaus made a point of grabbing the side of his face then. There was a part of Bodie which couldn't help but stiffen at the thought of Klaus touching him like this, in a way that Klaus knew that he liked.

"As much as I would like to return Will to you, he's more valuable to me by my side." Klaus told. "And you can tell the others that you're with that when I'm done with Stefan, he wouldn't want to come back."

Klaus then took his hand off of Bodie's face then. Bodie was close to reaching up to touch Klaus once more, to feel the warmth that he always craves but he didn't, he just watched Klaus instead, more so when he leaned up.

That was when Klaus leaned back into Bodie then, whispering in his ear. "The next time I see you, My Bodie, I will find a way to make your life hell."

"I missed you too, K," Bodie muttered.

Will was everything but patient. And without anger. He knew that Damon always seemed like that he had the audacity to boss him around as if it was nothing, and now he was face to face with Damon. He thought that he would have been greeted with Bodie telling him to come home and instead, he was greeted with Damon. Everything within Will wanted to yell, he wanted to talk to Bodie not Damon, but he supposed that he shouldn't be surprised as a whole given that there was a part of him which knew that Bodie would still be pissed at him.

"Where's Bodie?" Will asked, crossing his arms. In all honesty, he hadn't even heard Damon speak yet and he was close to just killing him like it was nothing.

"Distracting the big bad that you work for," Damon told with a look on his face that Will couldn't work out.

Something within Will wanted to turn back and see if that were true, there was a part of him which didn't expect that Bodie would willingly put himself against Klaus. He knew that Klaus was still pissed off at Bodie for everything that he did, but it worried him a little on just what Klaus would do to Bodie. He didn't want either of them to die but at the same time he didn't like the idea that they were together once more.

Damon caught his arm then which made Will realise that he actually moved to turn back into the bar. "Not so fast, Bodie asked me to talk to you."

Will scoffed at that. "Like you actually wanted to talk to me. Did he pay you or compel you to talk to me?"

Damon sighed and glared at him. "No, but he did give me some helpful information about you and your brother."

Henry. His brother. Damon knew his little brother? His little brother that he would protect from their father's beatings because they were siphoners? His little brother that he basically left behind because of fearing of what Klaus would do to him? That Henry?

Will didn't even want to think about what Damon knew about Henry, of course, there was a part of him which wondered whether or not Bodie sold Henry out, but he knew that it was something that Bodie wouldn't have done.

"What do you know of my brother?" Will asked lowly. He was close of just snapping at Damon simply because of his existence or just leaving and running back to be with his brother once more. "I swear to god, if you dare harm him, I will curse you till the days of your slow ascend into insanity."

Damon rose his hands innocently. "I haven't done anything to him. Bodie just wanted me to tell you that Henry misses you and he wants you to come home."

Will—not believing anything that Damon said—ended up throwing Damon back with his magic. Damon yelled but at the moment he didn't care. He didn't like the thought that Damon knew his brother and as much as Will knew that Henry could protect himself, there was a part of him which still worried that there was a chance that Henry was in over his head.

"Don't lie to me." Will warned, walking over to stand over Damon. "Don't fucking lie to me!" As much as he knew that Henry was getting the notes that he was sending him, there was a part of Will that worried that there was a chance that Henry wasn't getting the messages and those messages was going to someone else.

"I'm not." Damon groaned. "He's with Bodie, he lives with Bodie. Bodie enrolled him to go to the school."

Bodie did that? What? How the fuck did Bodie manage to convince Henry to go to school of all places? Henry was never one who wanted to be trapped in one building long enough and was one who wouldn't trust himself in such an enclosed area with humans. They—Will, Henry, and Bodie—all knew that Henry suffered with control over his hunger which confused him so much. Why take such a risk? That was something that Will really didn't understand.

   "What?"

Damon seemed to take notice of Will's confusion. "You're worried that your dear baby brother would slaughter the entire school?" Damon smiled then. "Yes, I know that you and your brother aren't the normal vampires that I have seen. You're both witches and vampires. Rare and unknown, and something that I never expected to see."

The knot in Will's stomach seemed to have gotten worse which ended Will snapping Damon's bones whether it be in his arms or legs, he broke them. He didn't like the way that Damon talked about him, or his brother and it was something that he felt that he had the right to do. That no one talks about him nor his brother without any type of consequence.

He wasn't sure how long he was there breaking Damon's bones over and over again, but it wasn't until he felt a pair of hands on his shoulder, calling his name. He wasn't sure on whose voice it was at first, but when he decided to snap out of his thoughts, he realised that it was Bodie calling him.

   "Will!" Bodie snapped.

"Bodie?" Will stopped what he was doing to Damon and turned to stare at him. The one thing that Will noted was the fact that Bodie hadn't changed since the last time that he saw him, but even without that fact, it was clear that though Bodie no longer had to die that he was tired. The tired eyes that Bodie had was something that slightly worried Will.

"Hey," Bodie greeted and ended up hugging him. God, he knew that being so far away from both Bodie and Henry was killing him inside, but the one thing that he hadn't expected to miss was the warmth of knowing that Bodie was here.

They stayed like that for a moment, long enough that it made Will realise that Damon had gone, and it was then that Will pulled away. "Henry, where's Henry? How is he?"

"He's safe, I promise you, Henry is safe," Bodie told. He kept his hands on Will's shoulders which Will was grateful for considering that Will wasn't sure if he could stand without someone holding him. "He's in Mystic Falls, we got a house and he's there."

Will nodded then and swallowed. "Okay. As long as he's safe." He then gave Bodie a look then. "Why. . .why are you here?"

"Because Henry wanted me to come here for you. Henry's worried about you," Bodie told. "He wanted to know that you were safe, he misses you. Come back with us please for Henry's sake and your own."

Will really wanted to, he really wanted to go back with them, but he knew that he couldn't for the safety of the brothers he cares too much about. He knew that Klaus would find a way to kill them both if Will ever dared to leave Klaus' side. And that was the one thing that Will really didn't want to happen. He wasn't sure what he would do to himself if he were the reason that either of them were dead. He wasn't sure on how he would continue with his life if he were the reason that Klaus killed them.

As much as Will knew that Klaus wouldn't kill Bodie over something so small, there was still a chance that Klaus would. And that was the one thing that frightened him a lot, it frightened him enough that though he sends messages to his brother, he'd rather stay for their safety. He didn't want to imagine a world where they weren't alive.

Will found himself shaking his head. "I can't. Bodie, I can't. For your safety and Henry's, I can't. Please just look after him until I can find a way to come to an agreement with Klaus. I don't want you to get hurt because of me."

Bodie gave him a look and for a moment, Will thought that Bodie would have gone back into the bar to fight Klaus once more. "What? No, come home, please. I don't—Henry needs you. He needs you more than anything."

Will shook his head then, stepping away from Bodie. "I'm sorry, I can't. Go, please, just go."

Bodie didn't move and there was a part of Will which thought that there was a chance that he was about to explode. He needed to get Bodie out of here and he knew that Bodie wouldn't leave until he got his way, but at the same time he didn't know how to make Bodie leave. He hadn't seen Bodie in years and all that he wanted was to leave, but he was risking their life if he did.

"Bodie," Will pleaded, "Bodie, please. If I leave, Henry will die. Klaus would find a way to kill Henry, you know that he would. I can't risk it, I can't risk him dying because I chose to leave Klaus. Go back to Mystic Falls and tell Henry that I'm okay and that I will find a way to come back home."

There was pain in Bodie's eyes, pure pain then, and for a moment it was gone. He nodded then. "Okay. Okay, I will. I'll tell Henry. We'll think of a way to get you back without anyone getting hurt."

"Please just promise me that Henry will be safe," Will demanded. "Promise me that!"

   "I promise," Bodie nodded.

   "Go!"

And just like that, Bodie was gone, and Will was left feeling like the hole in his chest grew. He wished that he could have joined Bodie in going back to Mystic Falls, but he knew that it was something that he couldn't do without the fear of getting Henry killed in the process.

Will wasn't sure how much time passed, but he found himself at the warehouse that held Rebekah and the rest of the Mikaelson siblings. He knew that it was the place that he was more than likely going to find Klaus and Stefan, which he was correct in doing, given that Stefan was standing there as if he was waiting for Will. The pair hadn't said anything, just gave each other a small nod.

"You can come in," a voice said from the inside.

Stefan then motioned for Will to follow him and the pair of them walked into the warehouse. The pair walked in with Stefan in front where they were met with Klaus beside his very much awake sister—Rebekah.

"Stefan?" Rebekah asked with a smile.

Klaus almost strutted over towards Stefan then, taking a quick glance over to a very dazed Will before compelling Stefan. "Now you remember."

Stefan closed his eyes for a moment, Klaus had moved to stand beside Will then. When he opened his eyes once more, he stared at Rebekah with a slight smile on his face.

"Rebekah," he said, walking over towards her.

When Stefan was halfway, he called out to the blond man. "Stefan." That was enough for Stefan to turn round and face Klaus.

"I remember you," Stefan said. "We were friends."

Klaus then came towards Stefan. "We are friends." He looked passed Stefan to look at his sister. "And now the reason you're here. Gloria tells me you know how to contact the original witch."

Rebekah gave him a look then as if she were almost disgusted at the thought. "The original witch."

"What do you have that Gloria needs?" Klaus asked.

Rebekah rose her hand to her neck then as if she were looking for an old necklace, though when she didn't find what she was looking for, she looked down with confusion. "Where's my necklace? What did you do with it? I never take it off!"

   "I don't know." Klaus said. "I didn't touch it."

Will didn't know why, but he found himself smiling at the entire show between the two, though none more than Stefan's reaction towards it as if Stefan knew what they meant. Stefan caught Will's eye then and shook his head as if Stefan knew that Will caught on. Of course, Will didn't know what the necklace looked like, but he knew that Stefan knew and the only reason why Stefan hadn't said anything was because it belonged to someone that they thought to be dead.

"We need to find it, Nik!" Rebekah stated. "Now, I want it back!"

"Tell me that's not what she needs, Rebekah!" Klaus said somewhat overlapping Rebekah.

He'd grasped at Rebekah's arms then though Bekah broke free instantly and walked over to her coffin to see that there was nothing inside. She shuffled through everything that was inside the coffin in search for the necklace that Stefan knew about, though when she didn't find it, she let out a yell while she shut the lid and then threw it across the warehouse.

Bodie and the others had made their way back to Mystic Falls and the one thing that Bodie didn't expect was the fact that Henry would have tackled him into a hug the minute that he walked back into their home. He was glad that he was back home, but he felt like that his trip was completely and utterly useless considering that he thought that he would be returning with Will by his side.

"Where is he?" Henry asked. He pulled away and looked around with a smile on his face.

"Henry," Bodie said weakly. "I couldn't get him to come home."

Henry's face dropped then. "What? What do you mean you couldn't?"

Bodie sighed then. "I mean, Klaus made him afraid that if Will left Klaus' side that Klaus would kill the pair of us."

"But. . ." Henry trailed off. He clenched his fists and Bodie knew that this was the conversation that he wished that he could avoid, but he knew that Henry needed to hear this.

"Hey," Bodie placed his hands on Henry's shoulders then, "William said that he would find a way to come back to us without your life being at risk. I tried my best to get him to come but he wasn't having it because he didn't want you to die."

Henry backed away from Bodie's touch then, shaking his head then. "You didn't try hard enough, he should be here." He turned away then. "I'm going to bed." He then made his way to his bedroom, leaving Bodie to stand there feeling bad that he didn't try hard enough for Henry's sake.
