Bodie knew that running away after hearing what Elijah and the Woodfords done was childish, but in all honesty, he really couldn't deal with anything that happened or even process the fact that both Cat and Amis was back in his life again—he both forgot about them and half-expected them to not have survived for as long as they did. But even still, he knew that it was something that he had to deal with now, more so with knowing that there was something so clear that both Elijah and Klaus was hiding from him and that the Mikaelson's got both Henry and Will involved in it as well.
He was so confused with it just as a whole. He knew that he should just trust them all with how they want to deal with it, but he couldn't trust them when it's clear that they're hiding something about all of this from him. He knew that he shouldn't worry about what people choose to tell him or not given everything, but at the same time, he was bothered by it so much. Was this how bad it irritated Klaus when it came to the secret that Bodie kept from him? He wondered if it was and the fact that it was driving Klaus insane even still.
He was still in the park laying on the bench, looking up to the sky which lacked the sight of stars. The moon seemed bright and full which was enough for Bodie to know that the werewolves were running under the full moon and had already shifted. For a brief moment, Bodie wondered if there was any new wolves who were going through the first pains of the curse and wondered if their families were helping them through it—if they were part of a pack, that is.
There was a part of him which wanted to shift and hope to find a pack of werewolves just to run under the light of the full moon with. He ever so wanted to but at the same time he knew that he couldn't now at the risk that someone would see him and it all getting around that he was a triggered Hybrid. He knew that it wouldn't be that bad even if that got around, but there was a part of him which knew that he wouldn't be able to keep everything a secret from the Mikaelson's given that he knew that they would put everything together. And Bodie couldn't have that.
God, ever since the Mikaelson's came back into his life, he realised that he hadn't had the chance to fully shift which he was strongly missing. He wondered if his old pack—the north-east Atlantic pack—ever rebuilt and got another alpha after Ansel was murdered along with his parents. He knew that it's something that he shouldn't think about given the amount of pain that it brings him to think about, but it's something that he occasionally worries about given that his old pack was his family and now he was left with nothing.
Yes, okay, he knew that he has the Woodfords and the Mikaelson's, but he missed talking to his pack, he missed everything that there was to do with his pack. He missed talking to Ansel—his alpha—even if it were to occasionally talk about Klaus or even if Ansel wanted to check in with Bodie about him being what he was. Ansel had occasionally promised Bodie that he would find a way to make this stop, to make them not turn into wolves and go through the pain of bones breaking. But that never happened—not like Bodie needed it now, but even still, Bodie always had faith in Ansel and wished that he had the chance to meet Klaus himself rather than Bodie telling him everything.
He missed his parents—though he always missed his parents. He missed his little sister who was too young to even remember him even if there was a chance that she was alive—which was unlikely. He was grateful for Elijah for stepping between his father and Bodie's sister to protect her from Mikael who thought that it was best to try and slaughter as many wolves as possible (aside from Ansel) because of Henrik.
At the sudden thought of Henrik, Bodie pushed down everything that he still felt over what he did. He didn't need to fell that. Not now. Not when there was a chance of someone that's against him decided to take a look at his emotional state. He was being stupid, he shook his head then, god he needed to get out of his head more.
"Bodie," Amis' voice called out which made Bodie sit up sharply just to narrow his eyes at him. There in front of him was Amis who was just in a pair of semi-tight jeans, a band shirt that Bodie presumed to be Queen or something, and a leather jacket. Amis' hair was just slightly in his face and looked dark in the night.
"Amis," Bodie greeted. Bodie tried to strain his hearing to get an idea of how many Amis might have brought with him, though from Bodie could hear, there was only Amis—which unsettled him more than expected. "Surprised that you're out, given the fact that it's a full moon."
Amis shrugged. "Could say the same for you, but I supposed that you wouldn't be affected by a werewolf bite like I am."
Bodie gave him a small smile. No, he wouldn't. He wouldn't be affected by it at all, which was one of the few positivises that he had about him being what he was. Though, even still, Bodie was on edge knowing that Amis was on his own to face him, which was enough to make Bodie realise that there was a chance that Amis followed him, or someone was keeping an eye on him. "What do you want, Amis? Because I will not be giving you an apology for turning you."
"I'm not here for an apology," Amis told him. "Though I am here to ask how far you're willing to go to protect yourself or deny everyone the truth which you're so willing to hide for so long."
Bodie somewhat tensed at that which he knew that he shouldn't, but he did. "I will protect myself for however long needed to be. And I will tell my truth when I'm ready and not by someone else's terms."
Amis hummed at him then. "I see how it is. You think of no one but yourself."
Bodie somewhat pulled a face then. "I am doing this for myself, am I selfish for wanting to protect myself? I don't think that I am. The real question is what made both you and your sister so eager to find out what I'm hiding."
For a moment, Bodie thought that maybe it was something to do with Klaus and their massive fight months prior, but there was something which told him that there was lack of a chance that Klaus would risk Bodie's trust for him again. He wondered if there was a chance that Klaus did decide to pull something like this again, though no matter how much Bodie tried to convince himself that Klaus wouldn't do something like that, he had to remind himself that it was Klaus. And Klaus did make a point in knowing that the secret that Bodie has been hiding for so long has been eating away at him. But Bodie didn't want to admit that.
Amis shrugged slightly then, though there was a smug look on his face then. "I see what your trying to do, Bodie, but it will not work. If you want to know the answers as to who brought us here, on why we came back into your life, you'll have to give up on the information that you hold dear to you."
Bodie—despite a small part of him thinking that he already knew who brought them here—smiled at Amis then. "It makes me wonder, there's only a small portion of people that know that I'm hiding something, something that I hold dear to me, and it's probably only those people that would risk something like this if they knew that I had an ex-girlfriend and her brother who would want revenge on me for turning them."
There was something within Amis which somewhat tensed though one wouldn't notice it if they weren't paying that much attention. And it was always hard to catch Amis being tense over something given that he trained to not be caught at such a young age, but even still, Bodie caught it. Amis hummed then. "I would say that what you said was correct, but I wouldn't want to lie, now would I? I have no reason to lie, I only want the truth. And the truth might help you find peace, everyone needs peace, Bodie, including you—even if you were the asshole who turned my sister and I."
Bodie rose to his feet slightly then with a smile on his face then. "And what is in this for you? Surely, you don't care for what I'm hiding, but the fact that you of all people who hated me so much wants to know what I'm hiding makes me think about why you're here, or even yet, what could have brought you here in the first place."
Amis watched Bodie carefully as if he were worried over what Bodie could decide to do. "What makes you think that there's another reason why I'm here other than to destroy your relationship with Klaus."
"And why do you care for my relationship with Klaus?" Bodie asked. "If anything, I'm surprised that you're not running in the other direction because Klaus can be protective when it comes to people who threaten him and the ones that he cares about. That and the fact that if anything, you know that you cannot kill me. It's impossible to kill an Original, though you already know that, don't you?"
Amis somewhat grinned at that and shook his head. "Bodie, my god, I knew that there was a chance that you'd get ahead of yourself with trying to figure stuff out—and I guess that I don't have to ruin your relationship if you're going to do it yourself."
"Who said that I'm getting ahead of myself?" Bodie asked. "You know, the heart can be a giveaway to a lot of things, the heart can speed up when one lies, or catch just for a second which gives me enough to go on. You are lying or withholding something to why you're here. I intend to find it," Bodie took a few steps towards Amis then, "even if it means you lose your head, because realistically, you're dead when you go against me. Or did the people you work for not tell you about what happens when one goes against me?"
"They told me everything that I needed to know. They told me about your temper as well," Amis told, seemingly unfazed about Bodie and how close Bodie had gotten. "Something to do with what you are, I suppose. But even still, who am I to judge what you are if you won't admit it to anyone else." Amis smiled then, an almost cruel smile then. "Though, I suppose that Cataline and I could just torture it out of your little heretic friends if we wanted to know the truth."
Bodie tensed at the thought, though tried to relax a little. "Good luck trying to get your hands on them, I hear that they can take away the magic which made us this way. So, going after them is basically a death sentence."
Amis tilted his head slightly then. "Oh, I know. But that's all where the fun is. Coming back into your life just to threaten you, threatening to torture your friends, threatening anything and everything close to you, knowing that it's all a death sentence. It's a thrill."
Bodie found himself smiling. A part of him wondered what Amis had to loose, something that Bodie could threaten, but even still that was always something so painfully obvious. Amis came here without his sister knowing that it would be a liability if she did, knowing that Bodie would probably threaten not only his life but also his sister's. It was a smart move, smart enough that it made him wonder how long they've been planning this entire thing. In fact, it made him wonder just how much they've longed to screw with him.
"You know, it's funny that you decided to come back into my life now," Bodie told. "Now that I feel like my life is back on track at least."
Amis chuckled dryly then. "When best to attack? When best to come back into your life, Bodie? Why should I let you have a nice life knowing that I've got shit to ruin you with?"
"Hmm, I don't know, maybe I took you as someone who valued their life?" Bodie stated. "I'm surprised that you would want to come back into my life knowing that there was a chance that I could ruin it again."
Amis looked around then as if he were looking for someone which made him wonder if there was anyone who decided to join them, and as much as Bodie wanted to look around to see if there was anyone else, he didn't want to risk it. He wondered if Amis knew that Bodie was catching on or even had an idea about there being a chance of Amis coming here—coming back into his life—was because someone brought him here.
Bodie hummed to himself then. "I wonder, are you in need for back up which is why it feels like your stalling for something, or are you in need to something else?"
Amis rolled his head to look towards Bodie then. "Wouldn't you like to know, Erikson?"
Bodie narrowed his eyes towards Amis then, he was getting tired of the entire un-useful information. It wasn't helping at all. It made him wonder if there was a chance that they were following him considering that he was worried on how long they had been following him—though he knew that there was a chance that he was being dramatic in some way about all of it. God, he was turning into Klaus with his paranoia.
"Bodie," Amis sighed. "I would say that seeing you again has brought me great joy. Though not as much joy as what I will do to you once I'm finished with my plans."
Bodie came towards Amis then, feeling something within him shift. "You dare threaten me. You are nothing and were nothing before I came into your life."
Amis tensed then. "No," he argued, "we were better without you, and you just had to ruin it for us—for me! We were great, but you ruined it like all of you Originals do!"
Something in him smiled, something about knowing that Amis met the other Originals to have a bad experience with them and not just with him. "You've been ever so helpful, Amis, though," he looked behind Amis then to see what looked like to be a wolf behind him, "looks like we have company. Goodbye Amis, it wasn't pleasant at all, but useful enough."
With that Bodie went off as if he never intended to see Amis again, though he knew that their paths would cross with one another again. He just wanted to leave Amis alone with the wolf—even if Amis got out with his life, Bodie just needed some time with his thoughts. He needed to figure out his thoughts properly in hopes that it would all make sense to him. He needed those few minutes to properly figure everything out.
He managed to get near the stadium—though he was a good few streets away, he could see the top of it—which was far enough away than he needed to be to be alone with his thoughts. He was lucky that there was no one else around, which he wasn't sure even if it was luck considering that all Bodie wanted was more blood. He wasn't particularly craving it but then need to have the taste of blood was strong.
He didn't know what to assume at all. He tried to remind himself that in no way of him panicking or over-complicating this would help him as a whole. He knew facts—or what he thought to be facts—Amis and Cataline knew other Originals, okay that could mean any of the Mikaelson's aside from Finn, but it seemed weird to him that out of all of the Originals, it was both him and Klaus that they were after. Which Bodie would assume would mean that at least once, Klaus and the Bargeron siblings ran into each other and had some bad blood between them.
Though, even with that, it made Bodie wonder as to why Klaus didn't remember them. Unless he did and didn't tell Bodie because of whatever reason. But even still, that didn't make sense. Klaus would have told him, right? Wouldn't he? Unless there was something else going on that Bodie wasn't sure on. No. He was getting too far ahead of himself, even if that was something that somewhat made sense. Not the Klaus-not-telling him part but the Klaus-made-a-bad-impression part that leads to people wanting to murder or get revenge on him.
They wanted to destroy his relationship with Klaus which made Bodie wonder as to why they'd want to do that to begin with. Understandably, it would be two already powerful vampires in a relationship with one other, but to know that both Klaus and him were the worlds only original hybrids (whether it be bound or not), clearly meant something. Something that Bodie wasn't too sure on. Or maybe he was overthinking once more, but even still, Bodie knew that there was a chance that people would be afraid of what two basically indestructible beings like them would do together.
Someone brought them here. Meaning that it had to be someone who knew that Bodie was here with Klaus, someone who knew that they existed, someone who knew that both Klaus and Bodie was happy. And there was a chance that these person was someone who knew that Bodie held a secret. There were three people that Bodie knew personally outside of his relationship that knew that Bodie had a secret—two of them knew but couldn't exactly tell anyone. Henry, Will, and Elijah all knew that Bodie withheld a secret that he was willing to take to the grave—and by grave he knew that it would the Mikaelson's who would be doing the burying, the killing, and such.
But of course, there was this part of him which worried that maybe he was being dramatic. He had to remind himself that he literally showed a coven of witches, werewolves, and some vampires that he was a hybrid, that he triggered his curse. They all knew. Fair enough that he compelled the vampires to forget everything that happened that night that he rallied every supernatural being against Klaus and Elijah, and the fact that those werewolves had died. But it left one or two witches that had seen it. So, there was a chance that they still knew and brought the Bargeron siblings to them—but even still, it didn't make sense. Bodie told no one of his past relationships because the one that mattered the most was Klaus.
He remembered how Amis mentioned something about his temper, something about it being who he was. Of course, there were only few people who knew the lie that he was an untriggered werewolf—and of course, it was known that untriggered wolves have a tendency to be a bit aggressive before triggering it—so it made him wonder whether or not it was truly someone close to him, someone who believed that lie.
But then, it was only then, that he realised that there were only two people alive and walking around that knew this lie, that somewhat believed the lie. He knew that they got what they wanted no matter how good they are at brushing it off, it was just that he didn't want to believe it one bit. He didn't want to believe that there was a chance of this being true. He wasn't sure if he was able to even admit it to himself.
He needed more. Though he knew that he would have to pretend that there was nothing bothering him which he knew would be somewhat hard to do with a guy who basically studied everything that there was about him. Bodie knew that it would be hard to convince Klaus that everything was fine because there was a small part of him which knew that everything really wasn't fine at all. It made him wonder if he was right when he was in Wembley Stadium talking to Klaus about whether all of this was real to him.
It made him wonder as to why Klaus would go back on what he said to him. Klaus meant everything to him which was probably why his love for Klaus was the biggest downfall for Bodie just as a whole considering that he allowed himself to get heartbroken over him so many times than he can count.
Fuck, maybe he was being dramatic, maybe this was all nothing. He had to try and remind himself that there was a chance that they shouldn't have given this another go if Bodie was automatically going to assume the worst of Klaus within this relationship. It made him wonder whether or not he was mentally prepared for any of this.
It was stupid of him really, he should have realised that something was different when Klaus decided to apologise to him. Even if any of this was true, if his thoughts were correct about this entire situation, then he realised just how fucking stupid he's been believing that these two months were everything. He tried to shake off the feeling that there was a chance of all of this being fake or all of this being something that both Amis and Cataline were conducting, but everything seemed to fit perfectly in some weird fucked up way.
Maybe it was because of all of the insecurities that Bodie gets sometimes when he's back in a relationship with Klaus, being worried of what Klaus could do to him which could strain the relationship. Or maybe it was because of Bodie which was why the relationships kept becoming strained because of his secret. He knew that there was a lot of issues when it came to his relationship with Klaus whether it be because of him or Klaus, but even still, Bodie always thought that they could work with it or work through it as partners.
But this, even if all of this was true, if his theory was correct, then this was a new low even for Klaus to do to him. Maybe, even maybe, there was just a small chance that Klaus was getting back at him for what he did, even though Klaus doesn't know about what he did. There was a chance that maybe from beyond the grave, Esther was playing with him, using all of this as an act for her to say, "I knew it!" in his face once it was revealed.
Even still, there was a part of him which was worrying about all of it considering that there was a chance that his chance at peace with Klaus was ruined. This was all probably a big lie conducted by Klaus if any of this was true. He didn't want to believe that anything was true. He was getting ahead of himself, finding someone to blame when he knew what the issue already was.
He could just as easily tell Klaus and Elijah everything—give them what they want, but he knew that it would ruin everything and that there would be no chance that Klaus or Elijah would have him back. He needed to know more before he threw himself into something that could ruin anything, he needed to gather more information before he does anything drastic.
His mind was going all over the place, he just needed something to calm him down a little more. And ironically, all he wanted was Klaus despite where his brain had gone. He wanted the comfort of Klaus and maybe, just maybe, all of his thoughts would clear, giving him a more straight answer that he needed.
God, he needed to start writing diary entries. Maybe that would help him more. He'd have to try. But right now, his dramatic ass needed someone of comfort whose somewhat causing him chaos without realising that he is.
