14; the history of cataline and bodie

Chapter Fourteen
『the history of cataline and bodie』

⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅

Bodie knew that explaining his relationship with Cataline would be awkward, mainly because he knew that there was the slight chance that Klaus would get jealous. Though, he would admit, a jealous Klaus was somewhat hot, though at the same time, he didn't like the thought of his past relationship getting between what they have now. Bodie liked the way that their relationship was within the present, he just didn't want it to go all funny because of Cataline. Especially considering all that they done the previous night.

Bodie and Klaus agreed to meet Elijah and the Woodford brothers at the Woodford's house considering that everyone thought it to be safer. Though, Klaus did have his issue with going mainly because he just wanted to stay where it was just them, which Bodie very much wanted to do if it meant not having to deep-dive into his past with Cataline. In all honesty, he really didn't want to talk about her.

Though, with Klaus by his side, there was just something that seemed to calm him—or make him nervous, he wasn't sure about the situation, but at the same time, he wanted to run. He wanted to say in complete confidence that all that he was feeling was just nothing but knowing that he would have to talk about something that he doesn't want to and the fact that there was a chance that Klaus' mood would change, it was unsettling to him to think about it.

So, when the pair of them arrived at the Woodford house, there was just a part of him that grew more nervous with the thought of talking about it as a whole. Both Klaus and Bodie was standing outside of the brother's house, Klaus looked as if he was waiting for Bodie to follow, though Bodie just stood there as if he was worried about it all which meant that Klaus stopped in his tracks and turned to him.

"What?" Klaus asked. "You've been nervous since you woke up, I'm trying to be patient with you, but it's becoming increasingly more difficult."

Bodie clenched his jaw then. "I'm sorry but the fact that you all want me to spill my guts about my past with my ex and her brother is making me nervous. You know, mainly because I don't know if it's something that I actually want to tell you or not."

He didn't mean for it to come out as rude but with everything piling up since Cataline's return—even if she'd been back into his life for a way—it was all starting to affect him quicker than expected. He didn't mean to take it out on Klaus as a whole and he didn't want to make Klaus feel bad just in case he reacts in a way that would potentially ruin the progress that they'd made so far.

"Bodie," Klaus began, coming in front of Bodie then, "it's okay. If your worried about what she could do to you, I could do something about it, if you'd like that?"

Now that made Bodie smile. "As much as I would appreciate the idea of the great Klaus Mikaelson striking fear in someone else's heart, I'd like to be the one to kill her myself if she gets too much in the way of everything."

Klaus hummed. "Bodie being violent is a sight. I missed seeing you like this, Bodie."

"Well, if seeing me be violent is idea to you," Bodie said, "you should see my rage when it comes to those that challenge me being an original and my authority over others."

Klaus gave him a small look up and down, and if anything, Bodie just wanted to go back to their hotel room. "I'm aware with how you act when it comes to others not believing that there's more than just my family existing within the original shit, though I wonder if anyone else would believe that even though my wolf side is bound—that you are a hybrid that is in need to trigger his curse."

"Imagine a world with two hybrids running around, specifically two who can't be killed so easily," Bodie mumbled. He imagined it at times, to live in a world where he could live without lies or anything, to live in a world where he could be himself without the fear of losing the one family that he cares about the most.

"Well, given time, I'll break my curse and you can trigger the curse." Klaus told. "Now, why don't we get inside and tell us everything that we need to be made aware of about the siblings, and if there's a reason why they've come back into your life and decided to target not only you but me as well."

As much as Bodie didn't want to, he knew that it would help the others with understanding with the why—or give everyone more of an understanding with why Bodie is such a fuck up. But, he nodded which was enough for the pair of them to then head into the Woodford's house. Both brothers and Elijah were already there, though at the sound of Bodie and Klaus entering, the three looked at them.

"About time, I was worried that I'd have to pull you out of a shitty situation." Henry said. "Well, not worried, but a little concerned."

"Thanks, Henry," Bodie said. "I'm glad that I can count on you when it needs to be."

"You're welcome, Bo-Bo," Henry grinned at him.

"Now that you're here, I suggest that you can tell all of us about your history with Cataline and Amis," Elijah told.

Bodie noticed the way that Will grinned then. "If I knew that you once called yourself the son of a Spanish prince, Bodie, I would have bullied you from the moment I met you."

Bodie made a face then and stuck his middle finger up at him. Which Will responded back with another middle finger. Klaus and Bodie moved to sit near the three, where Bodie knew that he would have to spill everything that there was to do with the siblings even if there was a chance that it would get awkward for not only himself but for probably everyone else.

France was the one place that he enjoyed when he was separated from the Mikaelson's, though he missed them greatly, he really missed the Mikaelson's but to know that he was finally able to do something other than worry about what they were doing was something great for him, in an odd way. He cared for them, yes, but to know that he'd spent over eighty years traveling all around France, learning the area, and occasionally staying with the werewolf packs that he could find of course, they didn't trust Bodie's intentions, not until Bodie told them that he was one of them, a werewolf that was "untriggered" but was turned into a vampire. But even still, the werewolves didn't trust him.

Though, that wasn't as important despite how important the werewolves were to him, he was still angry towards the Mikaelson's for everything that they did while they stayed at the Count Martel, and there was still a part of him which really didn't really forgive them for what they did. He knew that he missed them greatly and that he should find them and apologise for the fact that he was the one to litter so many dead bodies around where they stayedwhich led Mikael to them.

He met the siblings eighty-five years after the entire issue that he had with the Mikaelson's, though, at first, he wasn't sure whether he should trust either of them, though it was Cataline that caught his attention. She was stunningthough, yes, he thought that there were a lot of stunning people that he'd met but Cataline was different. She was nice to him, she was something completely different and for the first time in ages, he felt like his heart was beating in a similar way that it did when it came to his love for Klaus.

He was interested in her, like this was something newwhich in a way, it was, but it felt odd that his heart was now interested in someone else, someone who wasn't the great Klaus Mikaelson who was the owner of his heart since he was thirteen. He was somewhat scared over the fact that he fell for someone else, it was unfamiliar to him, but he knew that it was something that he could follow, there was no one to stop him.

"Bodie," Cataline began. Her hair was loosely tied behind her, she wore a deep red dress that came off the shoulder though the hair that was loose sat on her shoulders. She touched his shoulder as a way to get his attention more.

He moved to lean further into her, though when he leaned back into her, she placed her hand on the side of his face, stroking her face. "Hi, Cat." She leaned down which was enough for them to share a small kiss with one another.

Bodie had been staying in her families care for a few months and within those few months, his feelings for Cataline only grew. Amis was the one who warned him against Bodie dating her considering that Amis told him that he didn't trust Bodie at all. Amis didn't trust or like how close he was to Cataline as if Amis thought Bodie would harm herwhich Bodie wouldn't. Bodie didn't want to hurt either of them. Despite the fact that Amis didn't trust him for reasons he wasn't too sure on, Bodie didn't want to hurt him, to hurt either of them.

They both meant a lot to him even if Amis didn't trust him. In a way it felt like he was at home, like he was meant to be here. In a place that he felt the most relaxed. Even though he did lie to them saying that he was a prince of Spain, it was still something of a safety net of the kind of power that he could have, even though he hated it. He was just happy that he felt safe with the pair of them. He was happy the fact that he found some form of happiness while being away from the Mikaelson's as a whole.

Out of the pair of themof course, this was obvioushis relationship with Cataline was one of the better relationships that he could be in. He was a bit more clingy with Cataline than he'd been with Klausthough comparing clingy between him and Klaus was somewhat difficult. But even still, he loved the relationship with Cataline as a whole, it was different and new and everything that he could have wanted and more.

She was beautiful, she was captivating as anything. There was a part of him which thought that she was more stunning that Klaus, though as much as there was a small part of him which disagreed, he couldn't help but find Cat stunning. He thought that there would be no one else other than Klaus, but here he was falling for Cataline harder than he ever intended to.

The pair of them had been outsidelike how they first metin an open field that belonged to her father's, though her father got it sorted so that it looked more like a secret garden than anything else. They were sat on the floor and Bodie's head was in her lap while she stroked his hair. The pair planned for a picnic which they both planned for food and such, though Bodie was still hungry not for what they brought, he craved blood and the urge of it got worse and worse since coming into their home.

He tried his best to keep his hunger as much as a secret than anything, he drank at most three cups a day that wasn't enough to keep him satisfied. It was driving him insane, he needed more, he couldn't keep living off of three cups of blood per day unless he felt the need to drain a good few people. And what made it worse was the fact that he could hear her heartbeat and hear the flow of blood in her veins. He felt like he was going insane, and maybe he was.

"Bodie," Cataline mumbled, still stroking his cheek with her thumb.

He closed his eyes, leaning into the hold that Cataline had on his face. "Cataline." God, her heartbeat was getting to him a lot more than he expected it to. He could feel the way that his eyes were changing though he tried to hide it as much as he could.

"You've been silent for a while, now," Cataline said. "Tell me, please, I'd like to know your thoughts."

He sat up slightly then enough for him to quickly place a kiss on her lips. "Nothing of interest, I can assure you that it's nothing for you to worry about it."

"Tell me anyway," Cataline told with a smile. "Please. I want to know what goes on in your mind, my Bodie."

"You." Bodie somewhat lied. It wasn't exactly a lie, but he didn't want to tell her the fact that he was so hungry and had a need for her blood.

He took notice of the way that she blushed. "My boy, you know how to get around one's heart."

Bodie hummed slightly then. He tried not to think much about blood or anything else of the sorts, he didn't want to rip her to pieces just because he was hungry. "And more than that, Cat." He looked at her up and down then and took her head into his hands. "Be quiet, don't be afraid, and forget what I'm about to do," he compelled her.

"I'll be. . .quiet," Cataline repeated, slowly, "not afraid, and will forget. . ."

Before she could finish what she was going to say, Bodie bit into her neck. He was so hungry, so goddamn hungry. The rush of blood filling his need for food was something great, all that he wanted was to feel that small void of hunger which grew worse and worse as the hours passed. He wasn't sure as to how long he was at her neck, and it wasn't until he heard her gasp.

He pulled away to see that she was almost dazed and as if she were about to drop, he thought that he could feel his heart beating hard with panic. He knew that it was stupid for him to feed from her knowing that it would be a more prominent and obvious trigger to his curse if word got out that Bodie Erikson killed a human and became a mix between both wolf and vampire.

He didn't know what to do, he really didn't.

"So, you almost killed her?" Will asked. Bodie hadn't told either brother about his other relationships with other people, given that they weren't important, and they only knew Klaus because Klaus was the one constant in his life that came in and out.

"Almost." Bodie explained. "But that wasn't the only time that I almost killed her because I fed on her. Same with her brother."

"You fed on the pair of them?" Elijah asked.

   "Yes."

Klaus sighed, almost annoyed. "I don't see how you confessing that you fed on the pair of them because of hunger is a reason of them to want you dead."

"I think they're more annoyed over the fact that they were lied to and was used as human blood bags," Bodie said. He could tell that Klaus was getting irritated about Bodie recalling everything that there was to do with Cataline and his relationship with her, and honestly, Bodie couldn't blame him—Bodie just felt really awkward with having to tell Klaus all about it.

"There's more than that, Bodie," Henry said. "Given that it almost killed both me and Will trying to fend off the vampires that they turned just to send a message to you, I'd say that you done a lot more than just use them as blood bags and compelled them to forget."

Bodie tensed at the thought of both Will and Henry almost dying just to make a point to him, he didn't want to think about his life without the Woodford brothers by his side. "I don't know, maybe they're pissed off over the fact that they believe that I destroyed their lives by turning them."

Klaus gave him a look then. "Maybe it's better to leave out the details about your old romance with Cataline then and get to the part where you tell us what else you did to them."

"I'm getting there," Bodie said, already getting aggravated about it as a whole. God, if an ex of Klaus ever came back into his life to cause shit, then Bodie would have a field day just to annoy Klaus about it.

He fed on Cataline for days, compelling her to forget about it and healing her with her blood so that no one would get suspicious. Of course, Amis caught onto the blanks in his sister's memories and confronted Bodie with it, accusing him of witchcraft—of course, he didn't trust Bodie's lie at all as time passed—though as much as Bodie tried to calm the situation between him and Amis, he decided to make the situation worse and allowed his thirst for blood come flooding in and attacked Amis.

Cataline was the one to pull Bodie off him, yelling for him to stop. She threated to get the guards on him which—despite knowing that he didn't have to fear human guards—made him pull away, he still needed a place to stay. He compelled both of them to forget what they saw and what Bodie done, he healed Amis and got him cleaned up while he was in a daze of not knowing where the blood came from.

It was only a matter of time until the subconscious of both Amis and Cataline began leaving small notes around their respective bedrooms about what Bodie was doing or had done. The small notes of 'bloodsucker' and 'Bodie' was enough for Cataline to become scared of what Bodie was as their relationship moved forward—of course, Bodie wasn't aware of such a thing, not that he cared that much, he was too involved in his love for her to notice a difference.

He knew that it was stupid of him to miss all of the interactions with her and her brother, how they'd sneak around him and whisper behind his back. And he knew that he could've just listened into their conversations to save himself some time, but he found himself just ignoring it, thinking of all the times that the Mikaelson's would do something similar.

He never questioned the relationship that the siblings had because he had no say in the matter. He continued to spend his time with Cataline as he normally did, he tried to feed on those surrounding the area and mistakenly killing a few people in the process—he tried very much to stop feeding on the woman that he loved and her brother. Of course, word around a few dead with no blood left in them was enough for the pair of them to put it together that it was Bodie.

So, one night, when Cataline was with Bodie, alone in her room—it was one place where they knew that they wouldn't be interrupted, her father generally thought that Bodie was the best person to exist and thought to be a good match for his daughter. Of course, the one thing that the Bard kept pressing on and on about was Bodie and Cataline getting married considering that it would be a good foundation—apparently—for France and Spain's strength. Bodie kept forgetting that he told them that he was a prince of Spain.

"Bodie," Cataline spoke with this almost sense of calmness. Though there was something deep in Bodie that knew that whatever she was about to bring up was something that was going to worry him. She leaned towards him, hands on his shoulders, gently giving him a shoulder massage. "I've been worried. . .the dead bodies without the blood. Father doesn't know that I know this, but Amis told me about it, and you know how Amis is with you. He thinks that you've brought something bad, and it's only just caught up to you."

Bodie found himself laughing and shaking his head. He should have known that Amis would connect the dots, but the one thing that Bodie didn't expect was for Amis to try and drop those thoughts into Cataline's head. As much as he knew that he was fucking everything up when it came to the bodies and the feeding, but he felt like he was losing control over his hunger or that his bloodlust was getting worse. He turned to Cataline then. "I can assure you, my Cataline, that you have nothing to fear. There is no bad omen after me, it's just a coincident that these things have happened."

She placed her hand on his cheek. "But it seems suspicious that you've been here for months, and then bad things have started to happen. I'm just worried just in case your involved, if father assumes that it's because of you, there could be a war between France and Spain which no one would want."

He hummed. "It does seem suspicious, though I can assure you that even if these things are connected to me that I will be able to handle your father. He wouldn't want a war if he cares for his people because I can assure you they would all die and so will he." He leaned forward then. "Let's stop talking about this, Cataline, it's getting late."

"I don't want to sleep," Cataline argued. "I want to talk about this. I want to be safe and you're not telling me anything to make me feel safe or assuring me that none of its because of you."

He sighed. "Cataline, please. There's little to no connections that this could link to me, so forgive me for not taking this seriously. You're accusing me of murdering people or at least having a hand in it." He stood up and tried to breath. He knew that even though it was because of him that they died, he didn't want to admit that he was the monster that ever so clearly the woman he loved was scared of. "There's nothing out there, there's been no murders like this in days—weeks even—I'm sure that whoever it is or whatever did happen to them was just something out of the ordinary."

"So, you killed them?" Elijah asked. "You killed those people and yet remain untriggered."

"I didn't exactly drain them fully," Bodie shrugged. "I left them with enough to get the help that they needed, clearly they ran out of time."

If looks were a weapon, Bodie was sure that Klaus would have beaten the absolute shit out of him with the almost uncomfortable death stare that he was giving Bodie. It made Bodie shift uncomfortably in his seat. He was about to say something to Klaus about it but found himself staying silent, he wanted to know the thought process of Klaus but at the same time he'd be afraid to even know—he wasn't sure if he wanted to know or not.

For a moment, there was nothing. For a moment, there was a part of Bodie that thought that Klaus would tell him that he was lying and to come out with the truth. And the truth being that he was, in fact, lying to them and that he had triggered his curse. But Klaus did nothing of the sort, instead he let out a small laugh. "Seems to me that your relationship with her was doomed from the beginning."

"It was better than having to watch while you fell in love with that Count's daughter while you called me your servant who you were dating at the time." Bodie shot back. Both Elijah and Klaus gave him a look. "Yes, I'm still bitter about that."

There was nothing but silence for a brief moment and Bodie was close of saying that what he told them was exactly that, he didn't want to tell them the rest of the story. He was terrified that the restricted version that he was telling them was giving them more hints towards him not telling them that he triggered his curse which would lead to further questioning about when and how. And as much as he wanted to tell them all about what he was hiding, he knew that it'd destroy his relationship with them which was something that he didn't want to do.

Bodie looked down for a moment, he contemplated leaving for a moment as a way to get out of the rest of the story on how Bodie fucked up their lives, it was honestly one of the things that he pushed away, something that he never thought that he'd have to deal with. But, clearly, the fates had something against him.

"What else happened?" Elijah asked. "There's more, clearly, they wouldn't have decided to come after you now of all times, so evidently, they've purposely waited this long to go against you."

"They've probably heard word that me and Klaus are back together, and it's somewhat known that there's two particular old vampires that are together, or something." Bodie responded. "I mean, they know that I'm old and that you lot are as well, it just took a genius to figure out that it's Klaus."

   "Oh, fantastic," Klaus muttered.

"It isn't like anyone could use either of us as leverage over the other without their heads being removed, if that's what your worried about," Bodie shot. He didn't mean to get an attitude when it comes to Klaus, but this entire thing was putting him on edge more than anything and he didn't mean to snap at Klaus at all.

Klaus shrugged then. "True, but I'd rather not risk it."

"I can take care of myself," Bodie said.

"Enough," Will cut in. "I'm sorry but I'm lacking the ability to care for whether or not you want each other safe, none of us are gonna be safe unless we understand why Bodie fucked up with them for them to come after us. Or well, the pair of you."

   Bodie groaned slightly.

He'd grown tired of Cataline bugging him over the deaths that have happened within her fathers' land, he was growing more frustrated over the fact that Amis was now bugging him over the missing memories and blanks in his mind. The pair of them were irritating enough that he was close of just ripping their throat out. He couldn't deal with their constant complaining about everything, though he knew that they were only concerned, he really didn't have the energy to deal with it.

So, the night that was probably the worst night of all of his nights at that point, Bodie done something that he didn't even expect himself to do. He'd expect someone a lot crueller than himself to do something similar to what he did, but even still, it was something that he did do with little regret.

"Bodie, come on," Cataline complained. This was the fourth day in the row that she brought this up when they were alone in her room. "Please, you got to tell me, please. Are you or are not involved in anything that's been going on with the deaths? And can you explain the gaps in mine and my brother's memory?"

Bodie was close to murder. The entire thing was pissing him off, as much as he knew that he was the cause of both the memories and the deaths, he didn't want to admit to her that he was a monster. Everything was going amazing, he'd been happy without worrying about the Mikaelson's and what they were up to, but now that he was getting questioned every hour for the past four-five days made him wonder if he had truly been happy. "Cataline, please, I don't want to deal with this anymore."

"Then, tell the truth," Cataline crossed her arms. "I won't leave this alone unless you tell me the truth. I will tell father about it."

Bodie, upon losing his last bit of patience, rushed over to her—she'd been by her balcony door while Bodie had previously been standing near her bed—and held his index fingers up as if to hush her. "I asked for silence."

She let out a small yelp. "How—how'd you do that? You. . .you were—and now you're here. What?" Panic filled her features as she tried to move back but due to the balcony doors being shut, she didn't get that far.

"I don't want to hurt you, Cataline, but if you dare tell your father about any of this, I will make sure that your fathers' head ends up on the end of a spike," Bodie warned. He felt the way that his fangs grew which also made him aware that his eyes had changed.

He watched as Cataline now trembled with fear, she tried to shimmy herself away, she used the wall to move across. Of course, Bodie made sure to keep her close or to be close enough to her just in case she decide to run and tell her father about her accusations. She managed to reach the table in her room where she got ready of the morning, never once did her eyes move away from Bodie at all as if she were afraid that if she did, Bodie would kill her.

"What are you?" She whimpered. "What hell demon are you?"

Bodie, finding this all amusing, took a few steps towards her. He found himself smiling. "Creature of the night." He noticed how badly her body trembled in fear. A part of him wondered if the small feeling of joy was what Kol or whoever felt when it came to someone being afraid of them.

Cataline's mouth open and closed a few times, her hand behind her as if to support her. "How. . .you're not a. . .you were never a—"

"A prince?" Bodie cut in, tilting his head. "No." He could hear just how terrified she was, her heartbeat was erratic and seemed as if it were about to explode. "I was never a prince, it's funny how quickly you all believed that lie and that I didn't even have to compel any of you to believe it."

"You're the monster that's been killing the people." Cataline basically spat after trying to swallow her fear. "You're the cause of mine and my brother's lack of a memory. You deserve to rot in hell!" She threw her enclosed hand forward and scraped across Bodie's hand when he held it up to defend herself.

Cataline took that as an opportunity to try and run to get somewhere else that wasn't her bedroom, though not before Bodie managed to grasp her by the waist, putting his cut hand over her mouth to prevent her from yelling out. She thrashed around in his grasp and tried to get out of his grasp.

Bodie contemplated killing her right there and then, but the small voice in his head told him not to, that there was a chance that he would regret killing her. So, instead, he pinned her against the wall, blood covered her mouth and inside her mouth, marking her teeth. Bodie tilted his head. "You will forget all about this, you will forget that I am a vampire, but if you feel like I have done something bad within the next three hours, jump from your balcony. Understand?"

She nodded and it was only then that Bodie let go, she looked a lot more at peace though there was something within her that panicked in some way. Bodie found himself smiling.

"Goodnight, Cataline," Bodie said. "I'll visit tomorrow."

   She nodded. "Goodnight, Bodie."

With that, he walked out of her room. Cataline closed the door behind him which left Bodie alone with his thoughts. He found himself groaning to himself at the mess that he made, though his secret was something that was going to be exposed. He wasn't too sure as to what would happen if she did die with his blood in her system. He remembered hearing word that there were other creatures that were like him but weren't the Originals, he wanted to look for them, but at the same time, he didn't want to.

He walked a little more through the corridor, heading as if he were to go outside before running into a very worried Amis who upon looking at Bodie seemed really pissed. "What did you do? Why was my sister screaming?"

Bodie found himself smiling. "Well, I'm not sure you'd like the details considering that it's your sister, but if I have to share, then. . ."

"Ew, no," Amis pulled a face at that which made Bodie somewhat smile at. Amis straightened himself out then, his eyes narrowing at Bodie then. "I wanted to talk to you, anyway, Bodie, I've been meaning to for a while, now."

"Okay, can this wait?" Bodie asked. He really wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone after everything that happened to Cataline. And as much as he would want to entertain Amis, a part of him panicked that there was still a chance that Cataline would take her own life and Bodie really didn't want it to be drawn back to him as a whole.

Amis shook his head. "Unfortunately, it cannot. It's something that really does need to be talked about. It's either I talk to you now or you answer to my father."

Bodie sighed. "Let me guess, you're going to accuse me that I am the one who killed all those people or that I brought death upon your people. There's gaps in your memory and you think that it's because of me, everything's gone wrong because of me. Correct?"

"Well, yes." Amis shifted, almost as if he were uncomfortable. "How'd you know?"

"Cataline told me," Bodie found himself smiling. "She told me and then tried to attack me because of it."

Amis took a few steps towards Bodie then, a hand on the sword which laid by his hip. "You better not have hurt her!"

Bodie tilted his head slightly then. "Oh, I so wanted to, but no. I didn't. In fact, I told her everything that she needed to know about what you accuse me off. Of course, she doesn't remember what I told her. I give her about three hours before something bad happens to her."

Amis drew out his sword then, pointing it to Bodie. "What have you done?"

"Wouldn't you like to know." Bodie grinned. "Of course, she doesn't remember anything that I told her. But I would warn, it would be a shame if someone like her died, wouldn't it?"

"Murderer!" Amis yelled. "You're going to murder her, aren't you? Or you have already." His eyes somewhat widened. "You killed those people, you're the reason why they lost so much blood."

Bodie walked towards him, Amis was still pointing his sword towards Bodie though it was clear that Amis was trembling. Bodie ended up pushing the sword away, knocking it to the floor. Amis backed away from Bodie, for a brief moment, Bodie thought that Amis would offer him a fight which Bodie knew would be unfair for him.

"I should have known," Amis shuddered. "I should have realised that there was something off about you."

"Oh," Bodie said, rushing to pin Amis to the wall, "but you did. It's why you conspired against me, why you figured out about the gaps in your memory." He smiled at both what he had done and the fact that Amis was struggling to escape his grasp. He laughed to himself then. "Oh, Amis, it would be so unfortunate if Cataline died, and you did nothing to prevent it. You failed as your role as a brother, and as a protector. I know how much all of this meant to you."

Amis clawed at Bodie's arm. Bode had Amis' throat in his hand and was close to just crushing Amis' windpipe. "Please, I. . .I'll give you whatever you want. Please don't kill me, I. . ."

"What I want, you can't give me." Bodie spoke almost through his teeth.

"I'm sure that I can provide," Amis offered.

"You're not the one that I want." Bodie told. In all honesty, all he wanted was to see Klaus. For some reason this all brought on the fact that he just wanted to see Klaus and the rest of the Mikaelson's just so that he knows that they're safe. He wanted the guy that owned his heart more than anything.

Amis whimpered and gasped when Bodie tightened his hold on Amis' throat. "P—Please."

Bodie smiled then, an idea came to mind then more so when he realised that he still had a hold on the knife that Cataline cut him with. He looked between that and Amis which was apparently enough for Amis to freak out more. Amis begged for his life once he realised—or thought that he realised—what Bodie was going to do.

"So," Elijah said, "you turned him."

Bodie nodded. "I mean, I gave him the same compulsion as Cataline. And, of course, the compulsion goes when they become one of us, so they remembered everything that I done to them. They ended up remembering all the time's that I drank from them, Cataline remembered the conversation that I had with her before I made her forget about it." He then shifted almost uncomfortably then.

"What else did she remember?" Henry asked. There was this faint smile on his face which made Bodie wish that Henry would understand the concept of shutting up. Henry laughed then. "Aw, look, he's blushing!"

"If there's something that you're hiding, love, please do tell," Klaus said.

Bodie groaned which was enough for both Henry and Klaus to share the same amused look. "I occasionally talked to her about. . ."

   "About whom?" Klaus asked.

Bodie looked at him then. "You."

A smile grew on Klaus' face then. "Is that why your ex wants revenge on me?"

Bodie shrugged then. "I—I don't know. I mean I did talk about you quite a bit. I'm sure that she thought us only friends but given the time that she's been alive, she probably figured out what we are to each other."

"Still doesn't explain why she wants revenge though," William spoke. "On either of you."

"Jealousy?" Henry suggested. "Maybe she's seen the way that you act around each other and thought 'down with the gays'"

   "That's homophobia, Henry." Bodie corrected.

Henry shrugged. "Still. I have to agree with Will. Nothing that you just said gives me an understanding as to why she would want revenge."

"Oh," Bodie said. "Because I slaughtered the entire mansion that they lived in after they died and were in transition. Even their precious father while they watched." He pulled a face then. "Of course, they ended up feeding from their father's weakened body because of me. So, yeah, that's probably why they want to kill me."

The collective four just stared at him with somewhat shock. He knew that he never told either Henry or Will about it because he didn't think that it was relevant, and he didn't tell either Elijah or Klaus about it because he thought that either wouldn't want to know that he basically slaughtered an entire household of people. But given their faces, there was a part of Bodie which wondered whether or not they'd might actually would have wanted to know.

Klaus let out a laugh then. "I always knew that you could be merciless and cruel. I would have loved to have seen it."

"If you were there, Klaus, I'm sure that you wouldn't even let me within a two miles radius of someone being attracted to me." Bodie said.

Klaus—even with that smile on his face—somewhat shrugged then. "Possibly, possibly not. But, an entire household?"

"Oh, you should have seen the floor, it was covered in blood." Bodie reminiscence. "It was the best."

Elijah looked as if he didn't believe it but at the same time, he seemed to have expected the fact that there was a chance that Bodie would do something like that. Of course, Bodie never really slaughtered a lot of people—or household of people—while with the Mikaelson's, but it was still something which was to be expected, especially given the fact that Bodie could have a shit temper at times. He knew for a fact that there was a chance that Klaus pulled something similar and given that Bodie always had an interest in Klaus, it was clear that the two would do something rather similar.

Klaus ended up coming to sit by him which led to Bodie just holding his hand. For a brief moment, there was just nothing and then Bodie just let him into his own mind when it came to that time. He wanted Klaus to be more aware of what happened even if he had to show it all to him—he tried to leave out the parts where it came to him being a hybrid, but even still, that wasn't much. He showed Klaus just about everything, all the threats he made towards the siblings, the feeding, the lies that he told them.

Klaus pulled his hand away once Bodie showed him all of it and just stared at Bodie as if he couldn't believe any of it. Klaus looked Bodie up and down then as if he were going to do something or have a go at Bodie for what he did, but there was something else in Klaus' features that made Bodie wonder as to what else Klaus could possibly do.

"You tortured their father." Klaus said.

"Their father was going to kill me, Klaus," Bodie responded. "Amis already told their father about all of it, I did what I needed to while getting back at the pair of them for conspiring against me. I did what I needed to do, and it got the message across. Why do you think that there were whispers for so long about the original that will torture if one conspires to go against them?"

"I thought you said that you almost killed him, and the siblings fed on him to transition?" Elijah asked, cutting in.

"Might have left out the previous details." Bodie shrugged. "I thought that it was just something that might not have been relevant enough."

"Of course, its relevant that you tortured their father!" Will argued. "You tortured their father, Jesus Christ, Bodie. I knew that you had a tendency to, you know, be a bit torturous bastard, but fuck me. How badly did you torture him?"

"Badly," Bodie said. "Think of Klaus bad and it being around that area."

Klaus smiled. "I think that you passed me with you torturing them this poorly with their father." Klaus then turned to look at Bodie then and there was just a small part of him which made him wonder about their life if they weren't like this. He wanted a chance of happiness with Klaus, a part of him wished that the pair of them could go live somewhere that was private and not worry about anyone coming after them.

Bodie had to stop everything within him from kissing Klaus and making more of an awkward situation for the others in the room. It was just with the way that Klaus looked at him even finding out about everything including Bodie torturing their father. It was just something that made him wish for something a lot more and wanting nothing more than Klaus.

"Hmm," Bodie said. "Well, if I've done something worse than you, then that's saying something."

"Of course, it is," Will mumbled. "You two are perfect for one another."

Bodie found himself smiling at that. He knew that it was something that he shouldn't be smiling about but at the same time he knew that they weren't the same people that they once before all of this immortality shit. He wondered if there was a chance to have a similar life like that together again. Though he knew that given everything that has happened and probably what will happen, there's not going to be a life where they're both happy and together.

   "Is that all?" Elijah asked.

Bodie nodded. "Yes. If I have anything else that I forgot to tell any of you, I will let you all know. But from what I have told you all, this is because of me torturing their father and making them become this. This is all because of me and they're going to take it out on me, though because of my connection with Klaus, they probably want to do the same to Klaus as what I did to their father."

Klaus let out a small laugh then. "I would love for them to try and torture me the way that you did to their father."

"Well, they'd be surprised that we're not so easily killed." Bodie commented.

Klaus hummed as if he agreed and Bodie found himself just leaning against his shoulder. He knew that they were there for information and Bodie just hoped that he gave all of them enough information to satisfy what they needed to hear. At that moment, Bodie just wanted the comfort of Klaus being by his side, it helped him ease the stress in his mind and now with his ex being back in his life, he needed the feel of Klaus being near him.
