Bodie wished that he managed to convince Klaus to not get involved. He wasn't sure what they wanted but the thought that Klaus being involved in all of this made him worried. He knew that Klaus could be quite. . .straightforward when it came to inclining fear within others, but Bodie didn't want fear, not when it came to dealing with people of his past. Plus, Bodie was worried as to what Cataline and Amis would speak of when they eventually run into each other, he didn't want them to tell Klaus or anyone else about how it was Bodie who compelled them to harm themselves which lead to their deaths. In fact, Bodie didn't want them to tell a soul about anything.
"I take it Will and Henry are meeting us," Bodie said. It was mainly to Elijah though they were no longer in their—Klaus and Bodie's—hotel room and were on their way to a park about a half hour drive away. It was an uncomfortable car ride which made Bodie wish that he walked.
"They didn't say whether or not they'd come," Elijah told. "Though, I wonder if they'd know more about why these two people of your past is after my brother."
Bodie shrugged and swallowed his nerves. "Because I dated Cataline. She's probably pissed that I turned her, left her, and she wants revenge for turning her and leaving her, but also would want to hurt Klaus because of what we are to each other."
Bodie took notice in how Klaus somewhat tensed then at Bodie's revelation of Cataline and him. Though what did Klaus expect from him? Whenever they weren't together, it could be decades or centuries since they last saw each other, he was bound to fall for another. For fucks sake, Bodie had to watch as Klaus fell for multiple people over time which lead to Bodie leaving given that he wasn't wanted, so Bodie didn't understand as to why Klaus would be tense over his past lover returning.
"Spit it out, Klaus," Bodie stated. "No need to keep your thoughts to yourself. They're after you too, might need your opinion on this."
Klaus titled his head up slightly, his head on the headrest behind him before slowly turning his head to look at Bodie behind him and Elijah. Both Klaus and Elijah were in the front of the car, Elijah driving with Klaus in the passenger seat and Bodie in the back, stretched out. "I never knew you dated outside me."
Bodie sighed, though there was a large part of him that was slightly agitated around the comment. "You honestly expected me to make sure that I was available for you to drag on after the gaps that we take between seeing each other after each break-up? Jeez Klaus, of course I was going to date outside of you. Plus, it wasn't like you weren't afraid to date or explore more even when we were arguing."
"Oh, for god's sake," Klaus mumbled under his breath, very clearly rolling his eyes.
"Children please." Elijah stated, overpowering the pair of them before anything else could be said. Bodie supposed that Elijah knew the direction that the conversation would go to if he didn't cut in. A part of Bodie was grateful that there was at least someone was here to stop an argument from happening. Even if Bodie was still annoyed at Elijah disturbed them from having sex to inform Bodie that his ex was coming for the pair of them.
The rest of the car ride was silent. Bodie ended up laying down fully across the back seats, not really caring much. Elijah did try to tell Bodie to sit up but Bodie—being himself—ignored him, he didn't mean to be off with Elijah, but he really wasn't in the mood to be told what to do. And all that he did want to do right within that moment was to remove someone's head from their shoulders, though he knew that Klaus and Elijah would rather know as to why they were after Klaus, he really didn't want to deal with the entire twisted truths that became something far worse than needed to be.
Bodie was tempted to go to sleep for a moment though he knew that it was pointless considering that they were almost where they were meant to meet the two siblings who decided now to come back into Bodie's life. God, he was going to enjoy ripping their hearts from their chest—or maybe removing their heads, or he could make it torture.
The car stopped, pulled into a carpark near the park they were meeting at. There was just a brief moment where none of them moved, like they were just waiting to see if something would happen. Within that brief moment Bodie just wanted the comfort of their hotel room, to be beside Klaus while they did their own thing.
Bodie shook his head slightly then, moving to get out of the car. He just opened the car door before he felt a hand touch his leg, he turned back to see how Klaus grabbed for him. He noticed how Klaus looked at him which made this small part of him wonder how much all of this would hurt Klaus—would hurt them. Bodie wasn't sure if he was strong enough to deal with another break up if it lead to that.
"Come, I wanna get this over and done with." Bodie said.
"Are you comfortable with doing as such?" Klaus asked. Klaus gave him a look, one of which Bodie didn't see as much, the concern and seriousness in his face was something which made Bodie aware that he probably wasn't taking this as serious as he should.
Bodie nodded. "Yeah. They might say stuff that might get me to go for them or stuff to rile you up. Just a quick fare warning before we go and meet them."
Klaus smiled slightly at that. It was Elijah that spoke then. "You sure have a type, Bodie. Going for people that can annoy you and rile you up."
"Yeah, well, your brother rose that standard," Bodie grinned then, getting out of the car. He heard Klaus make a noise then which only entertained Bodie a lot more than he thought. He took notice of the way that Elijah shook his head.
It didn't take long for either Klaus or Elijah to follow Bodie into the park, the brothers trailing behind Bodie as if they were there to protect Bodie. Not that Bodie needed their protection but even still, it was nice to have them here—even if Bodie originally didn't want them here. He still didn't want either of them here, though he supposed that he had no choice, he had to deal with them here. He just hoped that Will and Henry were here. Bodie wanted them to be here, he needs them.
Bodie walked down the path to which lead towards a small forest that wasn't really a forest and was more like a grove of trees in a small patch of earth. There lacked light there which made Bodie more aware that there was a chance that Cataline and Amis would just appear there—or even whoever attacked Elijah. Bodie quickly looked behind him to see that neither Klaus nor Elijah wasn't behind him like he thought, he thought it odd considering that he could have sworn he heard their footsteps behind him.
He paused in his strides, staining his hearing in hopes that he'd hear them. He did, but it sounded as if they were in the middle of fighting or something—Bodie wasn't sure, it made him worried despite knowing that they'd be able to look after themselves. Bodie turned back around to see a figure in the path ahead of him—between the small forests on either side of the path where no light shone there.
"Hi Bodie," Cataline greeted. The way that she spoke was something that made Bodie feel unusually nervous. "Glad that Elijah brought you my message."
He straightened himself out more. "I wouldn't say beating him up with a group of vampires is exactly a message."
Cataline walked towards him. She still remained as stunning as Bodie remembered, her brown eyes looked almost black though the small light in her eyes caused something in Bodie that he wasn't too sure on. Her hair no longer blonde but was now black which was just about the only difference about her, though even still, he thought that the black hair somewhat suited her though it was pulled out of her face into a ponytail. Her lips still thick as he could remember and her slightly thicker build was familiar to him. She was still as stunning as Bodie remembered her to be.
She hummed as if she noticed Bodie watching her. "Still, my dear, it brought you here, did it not?" She tilted her slightly round head up as if she were looking down her nose at him. "Your two witchy hybrids were a pain in the ass though, they caused so many of my friends' death. As did Elijah, but," she shrugged.
"Other than revenge, what do you want?" Bodie asked. "You had the opportunity to follow Elijah when he came to me, but you didn't. So, what else do you want?"
She laughed slightly then. Fuck. That laugh was something that a deep part of him missed. "Because I wanted to see you again. Without your Original friends near, of course." She somewhat smiled then. "I didn't want to risk following Elijah because I know that would lead to Klaus, and we both know Klaus and what he'd do. Though I suppose you know him much. . .much more than everyone else."
He smiled slightly then. "Yes. I know Klaus better than anyone. Though given that you think that your safe with just me being by myself proves that you lack the knowledge on what I am."
Cataline somewhat scoffed then. "You're the Mikaelson's pet that's all that you are, you manipulative bastard."
With a gust of wind, Bodie was only a few inches away from Cataline. He placed his finger under her chin, making her look up to him. He grinned a very unlike him grin. "I think you'd find, my dear, that I am the monster you should fear just as much as Klaus." He tilted his head then. "The Original family are known just as well as the other Original whose just as old as them. One might mistake the two as enemies, others know that we're close." His thumb was pressed at her chin. "I am not their pet, love, more like their problem they need to control."
Cataline didn't looked overly surprised though there was something within her eyes which satisfied Bodie enough, almost as if she wanted to regret going against him or even something more. Either way, it made Bodie realise why Klaus preferred fear over others than anything else. Though, what Bodie wasn't expecting was how Cataline tilted her head with an almost amused grin on her face. "My dear Bodie, there's something more that your hiding, isn't there? More than being an Original? Something that you're hiding from the one everyone fears."
"I'm not hiding anything," Bodie stated. "Klaus knows me better than anyone as do the rest of them."
For a brief moment Cataline looked behind him though it was only quick before she leaned in closer to him. Before she could move any closer to him, Bodie turned his head round to see Klaus behind him with blood on his hands and blood covering his clothes as well as being slightly torn. He took notice of the look on Klaus' face as if murdering another person seemed ideal for him—though Bodie wasn't sure if it was him or Cataline that he was planning to murder.
"Come on Bodie," Cataline spoke with this pleading voice. "Just one kiss for old times' sake."
Bodie gave her a hard look, moving out of her reach despite her protest. "If that is all, Cataline Bargeron, then I'll be on my way."
He turned, wating to be by Klaus' side—who wanted to kill another—though before he could even take another step, Cataline grasped at his wrist which made Bodie close to snapping her neck. He turned to face her. "Hmmm, Bodie Erikson, my love, there's more to life than Klaus, than that family, join me and my brother and maybe I won't try and get back at you for what you did to me and Amis."
"I'd rather you die at my hands again," Bodie spoke. "At least I'd be able to watch as the life fade out of your eyes this time. Or would you rather my attempt of compulsion to see how you would choose to kill yourself."
Cataline gave him a harsh look, though Bodie could tell that his statement hurt her more than she let on. She moved then and for a brief moment Bodie assumed that she was going to stake him which Bodie knew wouldn't work on him, but it was still a thought that crossed his mind. The one thing that he didn't expect her to pull out was a necklace, specifically one that belonged to his pack. It confused him largely considering that he thought that his pack was gone or had been run down, he hadn't expected to see something of his pack. She gave him the necklace to which he took. "Thank you for reminding me how much of a self-centred asshole you are, Bodie." She left him standing there then with nothing more than his necklace.
He wasn't sure how long he was standing there with his necklace in his hand staring at it, though it was then that Bodie felt Klaus' presence beside him and his hand reaching for his shoulder before stopping.
"Now, I half expected you to kill her," Klaus said. "Why didn't you? Change of heart?"
Bodie swallowed then. "I don't know. She gave me back my pack necklace. I didn't know I lost it, I didn't know that she had it. I must have left it there when I left."
"You. . .you kept your packs necklace?" Klaus asked.
"Our pack, but yes." Bodie said. He forgot that Klaus would have been part of his pack if raised like it, though it was weird to think that his alpha had something with Esther—which was uncomfortable enough to think of. Though he was grateful as it gave him Klaus. "I don't know why I didn't kill her, I should've. It would have been less painful than thinking about my pack."
"You never talk about them," Klaus stated. "In detail, I mean."
"Yeah because I then remember that your father killed my alpha and then my family because he thought that they had planned about. . .Henrik." He didn't like the fact that he brought up Henrik knowing what he had done, but even still, even when he knew that he should have taken his family's place, he felt like he should blame Mikael for doing what he did.
Klaus very noticeably tensed beside him at the mention of his baby brother, but even still, Klaus took Bodie's arm and made him turn to head back to the car. Elijah was waiting for the pair of them up the hill, clearly listening into the conversation and very clearly more bloody than what he appeared before.
Bodie took the necklace, flipping it in his hands a few times as if to check to make sure that it was still in a decent condition before deciding to put it on again. He knew that there was a chance that the rumour of him being a hybrid would spread if anyone took notice of it, but he knew that he'd be able to convince everyone the way that he convinced the Mikaelson's that even after a thousand years, he hadn't triggered it. Which would be a lie, but it was necessary in order to make the Mikaelson's believe that he was somewhat innocent.
He couldn't have the Mikaelson's wanting to kill him just yet for what he did. He had to focus on the fact that his ex-girlfriend had come back with the intention to kill him despite knowing that she would have to have the white oak stake in order to do as such. Though even still, the threat upon his life was something that he knew was something that he needed to concern himself with knowing that if he ever died, he wouldn't have told his truth about the two things that he'd been hiding for basically forever.
"I suppose we need to have a talk about you and your inability to come up with something convincing when it comes to being on the spot, Prince Bodie Ramirez of Spain," Elijah said after a while of silence when they were walking back to the car.
Bodie groaned at that. "Fuck! I thought that I could keep that from you. It's embarrassing."
Both Klaus and Elijah laughed at that. "Though I would say," Klaus began. "That it's worse that they believed you to be a prince."
"Should we start addressing you as 'your highness'?" Elijah asked. "Is that what you want, Bodie?"
"Would it get me out of this conversation?"
"No." Klaus grinned.
"Fuck." Bodie grumbled. "Your both a pain in my ass, you know that right? I strongly dislike the pair of you."
"Awe, I think we're annoying him, Elijah, wouldn't you agree?" Klaus asked with a laugh.
Bodie shook his head. He wondered how long this moment would last. Klaus looked as if he was jealous with the way that Cataline was touching him and now he was joking around. It confused Bodie more than anything and made him wonder just how much longer he would have to wait until Klaus would burst. He knew that he—Bodie—wasn't going to be able to deal with any of this because of how close it hit towards his lie, but at the same time he knew that there was a chance that with Cataline back in his life, it would make everything more difficult than it needs to be.
Bodie should have killed Cataline when he had the chance, though he supposed that there was always another opportunity for him to do as such. He just hoped that he didn't tense up the way that he did, he felt bad for the way that Klaus saw them in, them being that close was something that didn't feel right to Bodie just as a whole. His priority was his relationship with Klaus, they'd been good for the past two months and he didn't want to be the reason as to why that fucked up.
It took them about thirty minutes to get back to their hotel room, Bodie said that this will be something that they deal with in the morning considering that they needed to rest for now. Though Elijah wanted the issue to be solved as soon as possible, all Bodie wanted to do was rest and think over what just happened.
As soon as Bodie and Klaus entered their hotel room, Klaus went into the shower to wash off the blood on his body—he'd left the door open which meant that for a few moments, Bodie entertained himself by watching as Klaus stripped before stepping into the shower. A part of him smiled at the show, knowing that Klaus knew that he was watching, though he couldn't stop thinking about how there was someone else that wanted to know the truth about him.
A part of him wondered whether or not someone got into contact with Cataline and Amis and told them about how Bodie held a secret close to him and that he needed to reveal it to the Mikaelson's. Though, even still, there was only two people in the world that know about his secret and knew that it was something that was hard for him to actually admit to the people that knew him inside and out, they wouldn't get someone from his past to come here and force it out of him the way that Klaus tried to before realising that it was pushing Bodie away.
He curled himself into the bed, forgetting everything for a brief moment, he wasn't sure what to do with himself. He didn't want to lose Klaus and the rest of the people that he cared about because of this, but he knew that he would eventually when he chooses to inform them. He prayed that it be on his own terms and not forced out of him, though he saw that everyone around him was trying to force something out of him, to force him to speak of what he done but he knew that he couldn't bring himself to, not yet.
The bed dipped beside him, and a hand went to his face, stroking his cheek. It made him jump, realising where he was and who he was with. Klaus was laying beside him, his hair damp and he was ready for bed, the thing that Bodie found quick to notice was the fact that Klaus looked more concerned than what Bodie had seen him which made Bodie wonder just how bad he looked.
He found himself smiling at Klaus even still, he knew that Klaus cared in his own way. He knew that he had to explain his relationship with the siblings soon, but he dreaded knowing that there was a chance that Klaus would get jealous over an ex that came back. He wondered what Klaus would—or is—think about when it came to Bodie telling him how he turned both Cataline and Amis, he wondered if Klaus would think of it as such a Bodie thing to do or would judge him for it. Either way, it was added worry for Bodie to think about that he didn't need.
"Bodie," Klaus murmured. "Talk to me, please."
Bodie sighed. "I don't know where to begin, babe."
Out of the corner of his eye, Bodie noticed the way that Klaus fought down a smile and tried to hide his face from Bodie considering that he'd been blushing. "Start anywhere."
Bodie reached out and touched Klaus' skin, finding some comfort in touching him. "I don't even know then. It's just she wants to know the exact same thing that you did—or still do, I don't know, but I'm just confused. She thought that I was your pet, she had my pack necklace, I just. . ." he sighed, "I know that a lot know that I am an untriggered werewolf, but I don't want it to be spread around, I don't want others to force me to become the hybrid." Lie after lie. When Klaus finds out about this, Bodie was certain that Klaus would kill him.
Klaus hummed then. "I'm sure that if mother was here she would have bound your wolf side before you could trigger it like she did with me."
Bodie somewhat shrugged at that. "That would've been easier, though yet again it seems like too much of a pain in the ass to get everything together to break the curse. How's it going, anyway? Find the moonstone yet?"
"You know how it's going, Bodie," Klaus stated. "As much as I wanna chase down Katherine and find my moonstone, there's bigger issues like Cataline coming back into your life."
"Is this your way of saying that you don't want me to change the subject?" Bodie asked.
"Yes."
Bodie was silent for a moment then. He stared passed Klaus, in a world of his own for a brief moment. "I'm sorry about how close I allowed her to get. There's no excuse that I could think of to defend myself."
Klaus grabbed Bodie's face with one hand, making Bodie look at him. "If she gets that close again, Bodie, I might have to step in and I won't give mercy."
"Jealousy's a good look on you, Klaus," Bodie smirked. "I like it."
"Don't test me," Klaus said as if he was trying to threaten him.
Bodie grinned, moving to sit up. He removed his clothes—he literally flopped on the bed as soon as they came back into the room—and laid back beside Klaus though under the covers and touching Klaus in places that would get him all needy. "Maybe I want to test you. Maybe I wanna see how far you'll go when its just us two here."
"You're not helping the—" Bodie cut Klaus off with a kiss. He knew that he needed to talk about the issue and what his thoughts were, but at the moment he didn't want to. Plus, he knew that he'd just have to repeat it once again when they meet up with Elijah, Will, and Henry. That and the fact that he hated that they were interrupted earlier just because Bodie's ex decided to come to him now of all times.
"I don't care," Bodie mumbled when he pulled away for a quick moment. He laid somewhat on Klaus, pinning him to the bed, inches away from Klaus' face. He knew that there was much to discuss, but he didn't know how much longer he'd be like this with Klaus once again, he didn't know when it would just be them two once again. These past two months had been such bliss for Bodie, to have Klaus all to himself, and now it was slipping through his fingers because of his fucking ex trying to bring stuff back up. He wasn't sure if he could deal with it. Though Bodie assumed that he'd just have to take as much time as he could within the small moments that they would have now.
He leaned down and kissed Klaus once more, he moved to slide Klaus' bottoms off and opened his legs for Bodie to get between them. He heard the way that Klaus made a small groan then which made Bodie smile to himself. This was what he wanted, and he prayed that this was what he got and that nothing got between them even with Cataline trying to ruin everything.
"My Klaus," Bodie mumbled as he slid himself into Klaus. "Always mine." Klaus moaned then.
