Mikael POV

What the actual fuck just happened?! A huge big ass bright yellow fiery bird just appeared where Amilia used to be! Everyone and I mean everyone, Caleb and Altan included, everyone is on their knees from the power coming off of Amilia even from the freaking sky. She is huge, I’m talking like a ten storey building huge and just as wide! She is also so fucking beautiful and breathtaking, magical. 

“Fierce!!” Beta Kody yelled up at the bird from his place on the ground on his knees but his voice fell on deaf ears as she just screeched so loud we all had to cover our ears and the ground shook hard. 

We all watched as she flew away and we watched for a bit before she couldn’t be seen any longer. We were all able to move and the second we were able to, Beta Kody and Caleb were in front of me and Caleb grabbed the back of my neck roughly and I hissed when his nails dug into the flesh. He reached out and grabbed Beta Kody’s hand and their eyes glowed white. 

They were growling loudly and Caleb’s grip on my neck tightened to the point where it was hard to breathe. Garrett was beside me holding my other hand but it didn’t help much to let me breathe, it took my breath away actually with how soft his touch is. I tried to smile and he kissed my cheek. 

“It’ll be over soon, I hope. Whatever it is.” Garrett said and I hoped he was right because I was seeing little black dots in my vision but before I could pass out, Caleb let me go and Beta Kody punched me in my face and I fell to my knees and he gripped my hair and punched me again and again. Garrett was being held back by Caleb which wasn’t much of an effort as Beta Kody beat my ass and I didn’t try to fight back because I knew I deserved it for all the shit I did to Amilia. 

“You try to kill my daughter, I will kill you!” Beta Kody growled and his eyes turned black and his teeth and claws came out and he brought his hand back to kill me when Alpha Ethan stopped him mid air. Beta Kody looked over at Alpha Ethan and growled.

“Let. Me. Go.” His voice sounded dark, almost evil and I knew it was his wolf talking, he had taken complete control over Beta Kody. Beta Scar is not a wolf to mess with, he is almost as strong as Alpha Nix. 

“You kill him, you kill Amilia.” Those words stopped it all and Beta Kody was himself again. 

“Take him to the cells with a rogue.” Beta Kody ordered and I was drug away from Garrett and down into the dungeon again and thrown into a cell, a dark cell way in the back with a rogue. I was shaking so hard and was so scared. 

“Oh aren’t you just a purddy thing?” He said and walked up behind me, naked. I felt his breath on my neck and I shivered in fear. He put his arm around my neck and licked from the bottom of my neck up to my ear.

“Hmm you taste good too.” He said and put his other arm around my waist and moved his hand down my front and skimmed my dick and went to my thigh.

“You have a very fit body. I felt tears in my eyes and started to cry. I know what I did to Amilia was wrong but do I deserve to be raped? 

He seemed to like that he had me so scared because he started to laugh like he was out of his mind which since he is a rogue, he is out of his mind. I heard a door open and he stopped laughing and looked down at me. I can see a little bit of what he looks like from the small light that is shining down the hall from the open door. 

“That’s enough of that now Logan.” Alpha Ethan said and the rogue got off me and I was handed a pair of shorts. I put them on and got off the bed in a hurry.

“This was all a game?!” I asked and Alpha Ethan nodded.

“Yea, Logan is one of my best friends. He was away for a while looking for his mate and he was in here doing some things with the actual rogues when I had linked him to tell him you were coming down and told him to scare you. Don’t worry, you were never in any danger. We’re not that sick minded to hurt someone less powerful or weaker than we are, not like you.” Alpha Ethan said and Logan snickered and started laughing.

“Oh Ethan, that was a lot of fun. Thanks for letting me do that. I’ll let you handle the rest but don’t have too much fun without me.” Logan said and Alpha Ethan chuckled.

“Let me? I’m the Alpha you asshole, now get out of here and go shower. You don’t want his scent on you when you go home to Derek.” Alpha Ethan said and Logan’s eyes lit up and he smiled.

“I can’t wait for you to meet him, he is so perfect and so little! So fucking adorable!” Logan gushed and I couldn’t help but smile at him even though he scared the piss out of me.

“I look forward to it.” Alpha Ethan said and they hugged and Logan left. Alpha Ethan sighed and looked at me. 

“You know I was real close to letting Kody end your life today for what you had done to our daughter. I saw it all when Caleb looked into your mind and saw all your memories. The things you did to her make me think you aren’t a human being, that you are a monster and we’re not. Why, why did you hurt her so badly all these years? What did she ever do to you?” He asked as he sat on the cot as his eyes turned bright blue and his claws coming out.

"And don't you dare lie to me boy. I already gave you a chance after you didn't tell me about Garrett going feral so don't think I'm going to give you another chance, especially after you tried to kill my daughter." His voice was deathly calm, to calm for my liking which we all know if his voice is this calm, he is at the verge of attacking. 

"Because she is a freak, was a freak." I said and he got up from the cot and wrapped his massive hand around my throat and squeezed.

"A freak? She's the freak? Why because she is a strong beautiful woman who takes no shit from anyone?"

"Wrong. She took everything we all did to her and didn't tell anyone." Why am I telling him the truth? I would never admit this if I could control what I was saying. 

"So it was you and who else?"

"Our classmates, all kids we grew up with, some pack members also." God I need to shut the fuck up. 

"I think I will let my daughter deal with you when she gets back but for now, I am going to have some fun because not only did you hurt her, you hurt my mate by hurting his little girl and no one hurts my mate.” He said and squeezed my neck so hard that his claws broke the skin and he drew his hand back and punched me in my jaw, kneed me in my stomach and kicked my knee, breaking it and I screamed so loud as I felt my body getting weak. He didn’t stop there, he bent my arm back and broke my elbow and twisted it back and I screamed again as tears fell from my eyes and he punched me again and I fell to the ground and he kicked me in my stomach a few times, spit on me and walked out, leaving me on the ground sobbing and in pain before I passed out.

I woke up with bright lights shining in my face and groaned. I looked around and noticed I was in the pack hospital with a cast on my leg and arm. I also had a bandage on my face and ice packs on my stomach. I tried to sit up but regretted it when I felt pain shoot through my body and I laid back down groaning in pain.

“You shouldn’t move, you have some serious injuries.” I heard from the door and looked over and saw Garrett standing there with his arms crossed leaning against the door frame. 

“I noticed.” My voice cracked and he sighed and walked into the room and poured some water into the cup that was on the table with a straw and held it to my lips and I took a drink and sighed at the cold liquid soothing my throat. 

“How long have I been out?” I asked and he put the cup down and sat on the chair beside the bed.

“Since last night, it’s almost noon. How are you feeling?” He asked with concern in his voice.

“Like hell. Alpha Ethan didn’t even use his power, this is just from how strong he is, not even his wolf strength. I know to never piss him off.” I said and he nodded.

“Yea well your human, you wouldn’t be alive it if he went wolf on you.” He said and sighed as he ran his hand through his hair.

“Is Amilia back?” I asked and he shook his head and looked at me with anger in his eyes.

“That is something you really shouldn’t ask, you shouldn’t even say her name. Do you know how close I am to rejecting you for what you did to her? You almost killed her Mikael. Do you understand that, killed. As in not alive anymore, dead. What the hell ran through your mind when you had your hands around her throat? What were you thinking when you had sex with other people, not only did she feel it but so did I? We felt that fucking pain for a week every night! What kind of mate does that to their mate?!” He asked with fire blazing in his eyes as he looked at me and I felt myself shrink back at the look in his eyes and I felt my heartbreak at the pain in his voice and eyes.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know you would feel it and I know you won’t believe me but I don’t know why I did what I did to her. It’s like I wasn’t myself and only realized what I was doing when she screamed bloody murder for help that I came out of whatever it was and saw my hands around her neck that I got off her and went out of the window. I really don’t even remember being with her let alone in her room, naked with her naked as well. I don’t remember.” I said and he just looked at me trying to see if I was telling the truth but after everything, I wouldn’t believe me but no matter what I did, I would never go as far as to kill her or anyone who wasn’t a threat to the pack. 

“I don’t know if I should believe you but your heart didn’t race and you held eye contact but anyone can lie if they are good enough and you lied for years so I can’t base your words off that. I wondered why Amilia was so quick to go off to go get her surgeries and now I know why. She may have done it because she didn’t feel like a woman on the outside as she felt on the inside and wanted her body to match how she felt but she made it quickly when she had just talked to her dad about it not even two weeks ago and now it all makes sense. She didn’t want to be hurt anymore, didn’t want to be treated as a ‘freak’ by you and everyone else. I didn’t know, none of us did. Maybe if I was still in school I would have known but I’m not so I didn’t know. Two years she and I have been together and not once did she ever mention anything that you all had done to her. The night of her birthday, after she did tell you you were her mate that you first slept with someone. She was in so much pain that she had to be sedated because it was too much for her. I was barely holding on and it just got worse so we were both sedated when we started to feel the pain each night. We were relieved you stopped after a week. Then you and I started to bond some here and there and then you do what you did. Amilia didn’t feel what Alpha Ethan did to you because you have no bond, you may be mates but you have no actual bond so she didn’t feel it. I felt some of it though. I don’t know what she is going to do because she didn’t even ask how you were when I told her what happened. She didn’t even seem to care which I can’t blame her for not caring but the bond will do it’s work and either she accepts your rejection and rejects you or you take it back so you can be mates than just give it time. Figure out the reason why you tried to kill her because she won’t accept ‘I don’t know’ as an excuse. Now I am going to go spend some time with her and you rest, I’ll be back later alright?” He said and stood up from the chair and leaned over the bed and kissed my forehead and I felt tears sting the back of my eyes and I nodded.

“I am so sorry, for everything.” I said, feeling ashamed of myself for what I had done. 

“Thank you for saying that, I will see you later.” He said and squeezed my hand gently before walking out of the room. I sighed and closed my eyes and let the tears fall and I held my face in my hands and cried until I felt arms wrapped around me and myself being pulled into the strong chest of my brother and sobbed into his chest. 

“Shh it’s ok, I got you baby boy, I got you shhh.” He whispered as he ran his hand up and down my back as I cried. He held me until my sobs turned into whimpers and sniffles. 

“Are you alright now?” He asked and I moved from his chest and he wiped my face and eyes gently free of tears and I shook my head no.

“No, I tried to kill her and I don’t even remember being with her that day. I don’t even remember meeting up with her anywhere or how we ended up in her bed. I don’t remember and I tried to kill her Andrew but I swear I don’t remember doing it.” I wiped my eyes again from the new batch of tears and he sighed softly and held me again.

“I think it’s the curse.” He said and I froze. Can that really be it? The curse caused me to harm her to almost her death? 

“But why?” I asked and he shrugged.

“It’s a curse, it’s not supposed to make sense. The only way to break it is by mating with your mate, well mates in your case and one well, that’s going to take a lot of time before that happens, if at all.” 

“She won’t care if it’s a curse, I still caused her pain for years, even after blacking out, I remembered what I did so can’t blame the curse when I was aware of it all except when I tried to kill her, that whole day. Everything else I knew what I was doing. I just wish I can turn back time to that day and start it all over again. Actually I wish I could go back to the way we were before we drifted apart and were actually friends.” 

“Well no amount of wishing will help, you just need to do everything you can to make it up to her if she doesn’t reject you. You were doing good so don’t stop now. You did what I told you and I thought things were going well because you seemed happy and so did Amilia and Garrett until it all went to hell. I’m sure things will be ok in time, just don’t give up.” He said and I sighed and just let my body relax and felt my eyes getting heavy and going to sleep in his arms.
