Will is Sick of Loki's Shit

---

After Bruce and Tony had finished their discussion, Will left the lab in hopes to find Natasha so she could help train him some more. If what Tony said was true, that him and his brother could be joining the rest in the battle, he wanted to work more on his aim.

Walking down the corridor, Will passed by men and women rushing around, all very busy working.

He, after a few minutes of getting lost and failing to find his red-headed friend, started to think heading back to the lab was a good idea. As he was about to turn into another hallway, he caught a glance of fiery red hair at the corner of his eye.

He turned to see his assassin walk in the opposite direction to him. Towards the holding cell. Towards Loki.

Will felt his chest tighten. Why on Earth would Natasha go to Loki?

Scared for her safety, he followed her. However, he knew that she was more than capable of protecting herself. She could possibly kick the crap out of Loki with her bare hands, save Will from any danger he could be in and walk away still looking as beautiful as ever.

Will admired her.

It took a few turns for Natasha to get to the holding cell, Will's heart beating fast with each step they took. Even though Loki was trapped behind glass, he still had the power of words, which Will had already experienced when he had been talking about him and his brother. And sometimes, just sometimes, words were more harmful than fists. So, Will was worried.

When Natasha walked into the same room as a God, he slipped in behind her. Will couldn't help but think that she already knew he was there because of her assassin training. If she did, she didn't show any signs.

Natasha silently walked towards the glass, with an unaware Loki behind it. Will quietly hid behind a wall not too far away.

They watched as the (former?) Asgardian paced about in the cell before stopping. Smiling, he turned around to see the women that Agent Barton had talked about, "There's not many people who can sneak up on me."

"But you figured I'd come."

"After." Loki replied walking towards Natasha, with only a thin, but strong, piece of glass separating them. Will tensed at the thought but slowly relaxed when he remembered that this cage had been built for his brother. Which he still wasn't happy about, "After whatever tortures Fury can concoct, you would appear as a friend, as a balm. And I would cooperate." He grinned.

However, Natasha ignored him and got to the reason why she was there, "I want to know what you've done to Agent Barton."

"I'd say I've expanded his mind."

Natasha stared at the God for a few moments before stepping towards him, "And once you've won, once you're King of the Mountain," she stopped in front of him, crossing her arms, "What happens to his mind?"

Loki let a sickening grin grow on his face, "Oh...is this love, Agent Romanoff?"

A few feet away Will shifted on his feet. Unfortunately, the alien saw the movement, knowing who was there, making his grin spread wider.

"Love is for children. I own him a debt."

Loki didn't seem convinced as he shook his head, "And what of the monster's brother?"

Natasha clenched her fists. She felt very protective over the unstable man, and she didn't like how Loki had talked about him only hours ago. The assassin wasn't sure why she felt this way and she wasn't sure if she liked it. It made her feel weak, Natasha didn't like that feeling. But there was something about Will that drawn her to him.

"We are only friends."

This made Will's chest hurt, not understanding why.

Loki seemed happy with that answer, because he possibly knew more than she did. Walking backwards towards the bench inside the cage, he gestured to her, "Tell me about this debt." He said sitting down.

Which Natasha also did after a moment of hesitates.

"Before I worked for S.H.I.E.L.D., I, uh...Well, I made a name for myself. I have a very specific skill set. I didn't care who I used it, or on. I got on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar in a bad way. Agent Barton was sent to kill me. He made a different call." She told him, occasionally looking off into the distance, remembering everything.

"And what will you do if I vow to spare him?"

Will only just understands how much Barton means to Natasha, but he hopes she doesn't do anything that they will regret.

"Not let you out."

"No, but I like this." Said Loki as he leaned forwards wearing another horrible grin, "Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man."

"Regimes fall every day. I tend not to weep over that. I'm Russian." She shrugs before continuing, "Or I was."

"And what are you now?"

"It's really not that complicated." The redhead said while standing up, "I got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out."

"Can you?" Loki asks, "Can you wipe out that much red? Dreykov's daughter."

Now, Will wasn't completely sure who that was, but the way Natasha tensed up he got a good idea. He didn't like this. He didn't like how Natasha was talking to a murder. But now that he thinks about, she is almost just as bad as him.

Loki continued, "Sao Paulo, the hospital fire?" With each word that the God spoke, Will could see his friend tense even more. This is what he was afraid of. The power of words and knowledge. So powerful, it could bring the strongest empires to the ground.

"Barton told me everything." He informed her, standing up. Stepping towards her, he said, "Your ledger is dripping, it's gushing red. And you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything?" The more Loki talked, he more Will could see his assassin shake, he wanted so desperately to run over there and shut that God up.

"This is the basest sentimentality. This is a child at prayer. Pathetic!"

Will stepped out from behind the wall and slowly, silently walked towards the console. He looked at the different buttons, he could remember the ones that Fury had used when he watched their convection on the screen. Banner glanced back at the two, neither of them noticing he was there. He stood there, ready to press the button if Loki got out of hand.

"You lie and kill in the service of liars and killers. You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for the horrors. But they are part of you. And they will never go away."

Suddenly, there was a loud bang as Loki slammed his fist against the glass, making both Natasha and Will jump, "I won't touch Barton, not until I make him kill you. Slowly, intimately," Will could see Natasha shaking, hating that a strong woman was being broken down by the alien's words, "In every way he knows you fear. And then he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and when he screams, I'll split his sku-" Loki was cut off by the sound loud of machinery groaning then the sounds of wind blowing heavily.

Confused, the God and the assassin looked down underneath the cage, to see that the hole had been opened. Natasha turned around and saw her new friend standing at the console, hand slammed against the button, his eyes, holding back so much anger and fury as he glared at Loki.

"Loki Odinson, shut the fuck up and step away from the glass."

Natasha was shocked at hearing Will swear. And hearing so much anger laced in his voice made her think twice about the quiet, shy man she met only a week ago.

However, Loki didn't show any other emotion other than amusement. Doing what he was told, he stepped away from the glass, hands raised.

Loki then ignored him, turning back to Natasha, who had her back to him, "This is my bargain, you mewling quim."

Will looked towards Natasha as he heard a small sniffle, his heart aching at the sound. But then he frowned, tilling his head to the side as he didn't see any tears in her eyes.

Looking up, Natasha saw that Will was confused, she just sent him a small wink, which helped Will understand what she was doing.

She faked a crack in her voice as she said, "You're a monster."

The God chuckled, "Oh, no. You brought the monster."

Natasha then straighten up, turning around to Loki, who looked confused, which Will found quite funny, "So Banner. That's your play."

Will flinched.

"What?"

Natasha raised her hand to her ear, and started to speck, while walking to console next to Will, pressing the buttons to close the hole before taking his hand and walking away, "Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab. I'm on my way. Send Thor as well." She then stopped, her hand still in Will's, as she turned to look at a confused Loki, "Thank you for your cooperation."

That made Will let out a small laugh before being drag away by Natasha.
