Ahana's POV

I rushed out and was shocked by seeing her. Her dress was covered in mud, her hands were dirty. I shot a deadly glare at her.

She passed me her most innocent smile.

I asked "how??"

"I fell down in the mud" she replied.

I hit my forehead in disappointment. This girl always has to get me late, I scolded her "everyone morning you have to trouble me"

She made a sad face and looked down. I held her hand and took her back into the bathroom. I removed her dress and sighed. She only had one school dress and it's all dirty now.

She asked innocently "now what? You go to school" she suggested.

I eyed her and understood, she intentionally fell into the mud so that she can get a new excuse to avoid school.

"Seriously?? Do you want me to punish you?" I asked angrily.

"Mumma.. You are late to school" she said and ran out of the room. I sighed in disappointment.

I commenced out of the room and saw her running in the lawn. Behind her, there was a transgender teenage girl. They were chasing each other. 

I shook my head in disappointment, GuruMaa smiled at me.

"Ahana go. She is fine" GuruMaa informed.

I nodded in yes and then left for school. In the afternoon, I will return and teach her a good lesson. She can't escape from my scolding.

I reached the school, Arushi met me and smiled "Good morning Ahana.. Where is your daughter?" she asked.

I sighed and said "she is at home"

"Oh.. here is your monthly salary" Arushi forwarded me the envelope. I smiled and thanked her.

5 years back, I never thought like a normal person I will be earning with my hard work. Manvi really is a blessing in my life.

I took about two to three dance sessions and then went back to society.

First-person I looked for was Manvi. But, she was nowhere to be found. I questioned GuruMaa where Manvi is.

GuruMaa was surprised hearing me and said "she was here 10 minutes ago" she informed me.

I was astonished and shouted out her name but she did not respond.

The teenage transgender girl was sitting inside her room, I questioned her "where is mannu?"

She informed me of something to which I was left dumbstruck and boiling in extreme anger. I rushed out of the house and took the auto towards the place. 

It was a wedding, Sneha along with a few others was dancing and collecting the money. I saw Manvi also dancing along with them. I fumed in extreme anger, I looked at Manvi and slapped her.

She started to cry and I picked her up in my arms. I sat inside the auto and came to the house.

She hit her leg demanding to descend her on the floor. I descended her on the floor, she rushed to Gurumaa and hugged her by the waist "mumma slapped me" she complained.

She smeared her head, I sighed and calmed down. I went to her and said calmly "mannu"

She eyed me in anger and ran into the room "I am not talking to you" she shouted.

Sneha and others returned home. I confronted "who told you to take her to the wedding?"

"Come on Ahana, I thought she would get bored so took her, what's the big deal in it?" Sneha questioned.

"Shut up Sneha, how many times I have to tell you don't even come near to my daughter" I raged at her.

"Please Ahana, she lives with us and is considered one of us now so she must learn about our culture and what we do to live," Sneha said briefly.

"No.. she is not going to learn all this understood. If you again went against me I will kill you" I said in a warning tone and went inside the room. 

I saw Manvi lying down on bed hiding her face with the pillow. I sat down beside her and kept my hand on her head.

She jerked away, I sighed at her anger.

"Sorry.." I apologized. 

But she turned her face to the other side. I kept my hand on her waist and pulled her towards me. She protested "no.."

I made her sit on my lap and wiped tears from her eyes. "I told you many times right, don't go anywhere without informing me, then why did you go?" I asked her. 

"If I told you then you wouldn't let me go with maasi" she said innocently.

How should I make her understand? She is too small to understand everything. I said, "mannu you won't go promise me?"

"But why?" she asked.

"Because your job is to go to school like a good child but you are becoming a very bad girl" I said glaring at her.

She made faces but agreed "mannu is a good girl"

"Then you won't go anywhere without me promise me" I asked

She nodded in yes "okay mumma but you also won't slap me"

"Unless you don't keep your promise," I said meaningfully.

She giggled and hugged me tightly. Later at night, I prepared the food for her.

She glanced at food and made weird faces. "I hate paneer," she said.

"But it is good for your health," I ordered.

She denied eating and ran away from there. I sighed, I scolded her "mannu.."

I chased her, I grabbed her after 5 minutes and forced her to have it. She said "zulmi mumma"

I smiled at her words. After dinner, I took her into the room and put her to sleep.

The next morning, I woke her up. She denied waking up. "No school" she murmured with closed eyes.

I sighed and picked her up in my lap, took her straight into the bathroom and sprinkled water on her face.

She opened her eyes with a jerk and shouted "aa.. Bad mumma"

I tickled her and she laughed..

I made her ready and packed her bag. I held her hand and stepped out of the room. Today, I won't let her do any mischief.

She eyed me and said "mumma I.."

"Whatever you need to do, we will do it after returning from school," I said it clearly.

She frowned to which I smiled.
