Coming Home
John Imagine:
Hold the memories inside my heart and
Dreaming we won't have to be apart and
When the storm comes,
Should we just run?
Without you, I wouldn't have anyone
The American tour. The date finally came. After so many rehearsals, several arguments, and countless hugs (and possibly a bit more than that), it was now time. You were really dreading this moment.
"Can't you stay another week?" you pouted at your boyfriend, John.
"Yeah, Eppy, can't we stay another week?" John whined.
"You know we can't, Lennon. We've got to get moving, let's go," Brian said firmly.
Paul, George, and Ringo were already aboard their plane. John stopped by the steps and turned to you. He frowned. He had never seen you look so depressed. He wished he could stay with you, but America awaited him and his band mates. You wanted to go with him, but you had work of your own.
On my dark days, when I lay there,
I wish that we could breathe in the same air
Now you're not here,
My vision ain't clear,
'Cause I'm not me when you're not here
"Come here, babe," John said, extending his arms out for you.
You gladly allowed him to swallow you up in his warm, welcoming arms. You buried your face into his chest and sighed.
"I don't want you to go," you whimpered. "I'm going to miss you so much... it'll be so long, won't it? I just don't want to say goodbye yet... it hurts too much."
My heart could be the same way,
I don't like this feeling,
Can't we just go back to yesterday?
And it's been so long,
I've been feeling so gone,
Gonna find a way, I promise babe
"I'll be home as soon as I'm done," he murmured into your ear. "When I come back, you're probably going to cry." You chuckled quietly. "And I'm going to tell you to stop bloody crying because there's nothing to cry about. And then we won't go out to dinner because I'm going to want to stay home with you by the fireplace, all curled up in a blanket. Maybe we'll watch a little telly. And I'm going to constantly tell you how sexy you look and how we'd make pretty babies. You'll tell me that you love me and I'll say that I love you too."
You peered up at him through glassy eyes. "I can tell you that now, can't I?"
"Why, of course you can!" John cried. "There's always time for that." You giggled and kissed his lips. "Listen. I know it'll be hard. But I'll call you whenever I'm free or write to you if I can't call. I promise."
And I know, and I know, and I know
It hurts like hell
Yeah I know, yeah I know, yeah I know
It hurts like hell
With that, you gloomily watched John board the plane. Watched the plane take off into the air. Watched it disappear behind the clouds. Watched your love leave to America.

"I'm going mad, Y/N!" John groaned into the phone. You laughed. "It's bloody boring here. I mean, the concerts are great and all, but we can't go out anywhere 'cause we'll get trampled to death."
"That's what you get for being so talented," you grinned.
"There's always a catch, isn't there?" John sighed dramatically.
"So," you said. "There must be tons of girls over there. Did any of them steal you away from me?"
"Steal me? Not a chance, love, not even a slim chance," John cooed. You could almost hear him wink. "Sure, they're pretty or whatever, but you... Damn! It's only been two weeks here and I already miss you... and your body."
You laughed again. "I miss you too, Johnny."
I wanna swim across the waters,
Just to see your face
Like a lighthouse in the distance,
I need you to come and guide my way
"Give it a little more time, love," John assured you. "Hold on, okay? It won't be too long now."
"I'm holding you to that promise, Lennon," you smiled.
After a few more minutes of chatting with John, you both hung up so he could go to sleep.
Just a little longer...
***
I'm gonna swim across the ocean,
Just so I can touch your face
You're my lighthouse in the darkness,
I think I finally found my place
"Johnny!" you cried, pushing through the crowd of Liverpudlians welcoming their boys home after their long tour in America. You felt like you were swimming through the sea of fans. But you had to push through. You needed to see your John.
Finally, you made it to the front, where the boys were exiting their private plane. They waved to the crowd with big smiles on their faces, almost relieved smiles. They were happy to be home.
John spotted you at the front and immediately dashed down the steps. You ran to him and threw your arms around him, smashing your lips right on his. John held your waist tightly, tackling your lips with heated kisses. You parted away to breathe and held him tightly. He lifted you off your feet and sighed, burying his face into your neck.
"I'm home, baby girl," he whispered.
That night, you and John cuddled up in a blanket right by the fireplace, the static of the television crackling beside you, with John whispering sweet nothings in your ear.
Just as he said he would.
I'm coming home to you...
The song is called Lighthouse by Bars and Melody! I posted the song above. I'm so obsessed with this duo and when I heard this song, I've been wanting to write something like this and I finally did! I totally recommend listening to them. I don't typically listen to a lot of rap but they're just that good! :)
