Ringo Imagine:

"Pass it over here!"

The child giggled and kicked the football over to Ringo, who blatantly missed and tripped over his own feet. The children laughed at his clumsiness, with him and you joining in.

You and Ringo had returned to Liverpool after his tour in America to visit the less fortunate children and families in need. Right by the dingle where Ringo grew up were several children and their parents, feeding each other canned soup in large, baggy clothing. You and Ringo had arrived there with dozens of bags filled with food, water, toys, and warm clothing to provide for the families. The parents had said that they couldn't accept it, but after telling them that they needed it more, their eyes had welled up with tears.

Ringo had also brought footballs and board games to play with the kids. He, himself, was a child at heart and loved to play with children.

While he played ball with the boys, you sat with the girls. You were currently braiding a girl, Lily's long blonde hair.

"Ringo's so silly!" she giggled.

"Oh, you should see him at home," you joked. "He's a real storm! Drops just about everything!"

"So clumsy!" Lily squeaked.

"Don't I know it!" you laughed.

"Miss Y/N?" one of the girls, Sarah, asked shyly, tugging at your sleeve.

"Hi, Sarah," you smiled. "What can I do for you?"

"Can I ask you something?" she asked.

"Of course you can!"

"Are you and Ringo boyfriend and girlfriend?"

You grinned fondly at the child and nodded. "Yes we are," you said brightly.

"Are you gonna get married someday?" little Janice gasped.

"Oh, maybe someday! And you lot could be my bridesmaids!"

The girls around you cheered, bouncing on their toes in excitement. Lily peered up at you with her big blue eyes, smiling her toothy grin of wonders.

"You're pretty," she whispered in your ear.

You arched an eyebrow at her with a funny face. You leaned forward to whisper in her ear.

"You're prettier," you said, pecking the side of her face. She released a happy giggle.

The boys suddenly raced towards you and the girls with Ringo following closely behind, all out of breath but smiling like they had never smiled before.

"Are you boys having fun?" you asked.

"Uh huh!" one boy, Samuel, nodded vigorously. "Ringo is the best! He taught us how to play football and basketball!"

"Hey," Janice said suddenly. "Why do they call you Ringo?"

"Why?" Ringo repeated, a grin slowly spreading across his face. He lifted his hands up, revealing several rings glimmering upon his fingers. "Because I've got more rings than anybody could ever imagine!"

The kids laughed.

"Ooh, Ringo, can I have a piggyback ride?" Samuel gasped.

"Of course you can! Hop on, mate!" Ringo said cheerfully, bending down as Samuel wrapped his small arms around Ringo's neck. "Hold on tight!"

You felt your heart swell up three times its size as you watched Ringo give each child a piggyback ride. It was Ringo who had suggested they visited these families. Ringo wanted to play with the kids. Ringo wanted to share this experience with you, the beautiful love of his life. And you could honestly say you were falling even more in love with him. You didn't even know that was possible.

You glanced over to the side, where you spotted the children's parents watching you and Ringo playing with their babies. They were all smiling... You detected tears rolling down their cheeks. They couldn't remember the last time their children smiled like that...

Hours ago, before you had arrived there, Ringo had said something to you that you would never forget.

"Y/N, someday we're gonna get married and have kids. You'll be the most beautiful bride and wife and they'll be the most amazing kids. And I want them to have the best life. They're only going to get the best from us. But I also want them to understand that there are kids out there, like these ones, that are not as lucky as we are. Then when they grow up and start to understand more, they'll do exactly what we're doing right now and give these kids the best. Because they deserve the best."

You would remember that until the end of time.
