This track,

Why'd Ya Do It?

is every girls break up song

.......if they found out if their guy was having an affair!

When I stole a twig from our little nest                                                                                                                    And gave it to a bird with nothing in her beak                                                                                                          I had my balls and my brains put into a vice                                                                                                            And twisted around for a whole fucking week                                                                                                          Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you let that trash                                                   Get a hold of your cock, get stoned on my hash?

Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you let her suck your cock?
Oh, do me a favor, don't put me in the dark
Why'd ya do it, she said, they're mine, all your jewels
You just tied me to the mast of the ship of fools

Why'd ya do it, she said, when you know it makes me sore
'Cause she had cobwebs up her fanny and I believe in giving to the poor
Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you spit on my snatch?
Are we out of love now, is this just a bad patch?

Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you do what you did?
You drove my ego to a really bad skid

Why'd you do it, she said, ain't nothing to laugh
You just tore all our kisses right in half

Why'd ya do it, she screamed, after all we've said
Every time I see your dick I see her cunt in my bed

Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd ya do what you did?
Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd ya do what you did?
Betray my little oyster for such a low bitch

The whole room was swirling

Her lips were still curling

Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you do it, she said
Why'd you do what you did?

Big, gray mother, I love you forever
With your barbed-wire pussy and your good and bad weather
(Why'd ya do it, she said, why'd you do what you did?)

She fell in love with Jagger at 18, and left her husband with whom she had a baby son.

It seemed passion was the thing, and she emphasised her standing as the embodiment of eroticism by starring in the underwhelming film Girl on a Motorcycle,

of which the trailer said:

"You know the thrill of wrapping your legs around a tornado of pumping pistons".                (Now thats a trailer catch line!)

Marianne dated three Rolling Stones – Mick Jagger, Brian Jones and Keith Richards – and once told the NME: "The lead singer seemed the best bet."

The Stones manager persuaded Jagger and Richards to write the hit As Tears Go By for Faithfull in 1964, but it would be two years before she began an affair with Mick.

In the meantime, she had a fling with the womanising Stones guitarist Brian Jones.

She soon progressed to sleeping with Mick, despite the fact that she was now married to gallery owner John Dunbar and had given birth to their son, Nicholas.

..........Beatles Link- In 1965, Dunbar co-founded the Indica Gallery. Paul McCartney became involved with the emerging underground scene in London and the setting up of the bookshop/gallery.

Paul was the Indica bookshop's first customer even before it had premises, he used to look through the books at night, stored in the Ashers' basement and leave a note for the books he had taken to be put on his account. The wood that was needed shelves and shop counter was picked up from the lumber yard by Dunbar and Miles in McCartney's Aston Martin car. Artists such as Pete Brown also helped in the renovation of the Indica and as he was helping to paint the interior, he would often look over his shoulder and see Paul sawing a piece of wood. Paul also helped to draw the flyers for Indica's opening and also designed the wrapping paper.

The gallery became known for staging exhibitions by cutting edge artists, including Boyle Family and Yoko Ono from the Fluxus movement. It was at Indica where he introduced Ono to John Lennon

Indica folded in just two years.

1967 Drug Bust - Jagger and Richards were both briefly imprisoned after the bust at Keith's Redlands home. Jagger and Richards were arrested, eventually receiving stiff jail sentences, which were later quashed — but overnight,  Jagger's 20-year-old girlfriend was turned into the most infamously scarlet women in the land.

There were tales of drugs galore and, famously, of Miss Faithfull being discovered naked, save for the fur rug she was wrapped in — not to mention salacious rumours involving Marianne and a compromising position with a Mars bar. A myth, says an ex-detective Don Rambridge but she did drop that fur rug in front of the coppers.

............Beatles Link - Detective SergeantNorman 'Nobby' Pilcher became notorious for the vigour with which he pinned possession of drugs charges on pop stars and hippies, and for the dubious methods employed in his undercover operations, which included paying off informers with drugs. As is evident from reports in the alternative press and various histories of that time, it was widely believed that Pilcher was planting the drugs his victims were convicted of possessing. He was the detective who busted John Lennon and thereby got himself immortalised as 'semolina pilchards' in the song I Am The Walrus by The Beatles.

Pilcher would add another Beatle scalp to his CV - raiding George Harrison's home on March 12th 1969 – ironically on the night Paul McCartney married Linda Eastman. The raid at Harrison's Esher property was questionable on many levels, not least that it was well outside Pilcher's London manor. While Harrison freely admitted to having a small stash of marijuana in his home, the size and location of what Pilcher uncovered way outstripped Harrison's own estimation. "I'm a tidy man," said Harrison to Pilcher on being shown an enormous stash of marijuana hidden in a shoe. "I keep my socks in the sock drawer and stash in the stash box. It's not mine."

The late sixties was not a good time for Marianne, she'd had a public relationship with Mick Jagger, got pregnant and got sent to Ireland to keep her away from Jagger whilst he was filming. She became distraught which led to depression. At eight months she miscarried which obviously played havoc with her mental state.

Attempted Suicide after Brian Jones Died- 1969- Hospitalised in Sydney after an attempted suicide after died.   After trying to throw herself out of the window of their 14th-floor suite only to find the heavy coat of paint had sealed the window, she swallowed 150 Tuinal barbiturates.

That time with Keith - Marianne was the long-term girlfriend of the Stones lead singer Mick Jagger when she was seduced by guitarist Richards in 1969.He later admitted he made his move to gain revenge on Jagger, who had enjoyed a fling with Anita Pallenberg, Richards' girlfriend at the time.

(Incidently ....Jones, his girlfriend Anita Pallenberg, and Richards were driving thro France and Spain to meet  Jagger in Morocco, Jones became sick he was forced to stay behind in Toulouse, France. Pallenberg and Richards forged ahead, and with Jones temporarily out of the picture the two fell right into each others arms, starting a relationship that would last for the next twelve years)

Richards says he was never been a jealous man, but he wrote the Stones' song Gimme Shelter — with the lyrics 'Oh, a storm is threat'ning, My very life today; If I don't get some shelter, Oh yeah, I'm gonna fade away' — on a stormy day when Anita was clearly falling for Jagger.

It was 'not the first time that we'd been in competition for a bird', Richards wrote in his 2010 autobiography, Life, adding: 'It was like two alphas fighting. Still is, quite honestly.

'His revenge in bedding Marianne — which he says happened only once — was interrupted when Jagger returned home early. Their 'hot and sweaty' episode was cut short as Richards 'did one out the window' clutching his clothes, although he accidentally left his socks behind. He revealed: 'Marianne and I still have this joke. She still sends me messages: 'I still can't find your socks.'

In his memoirs, Richards summed up the bed-hopping pantomime of the Sixties with a bravado taunt to Jagger: 'I was knocking Marianne, man.'While you're missing it, I'm kissing it. 'In a final stab, he mocked Jagger's sexual prowess, saying Pallenberg found the singer under-endowed and 'had no fun with the tiny todger'
