Charlie's pov

"Ok" I pulled out my dufflebag with a grin "I've got my sun tan, my umbrella, my second swimsuit, my book I've been meaning to get to, my beach ball, my towel and-"

"Honey you're never going to fit all that in your suitcase" vaggie took my hands with a giggle.

"Sorry" I smiled bashfully "I just want everything to be perfect. They really need this"

"And so do you" vaggie squeezed my hands reassuringly "this day doesn't have to be perfect. Let's just focus on having fun"

"You're right. Of course you're right" I gave her a greatful smile. Thank god for vaggie. She has been my anchor through all of this craziness.

"Tell you what, I'll pack all the essentials and you go check on the others" she pinched my nose playfully.

"Ok thanks babe" I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before running downstairs.

"Ok I understand. Take care cherri" angel hung up with a sigh "fuck! I was really hoping she'd come with us. She could use this day off more than any of us"

"Angel you need to stop thinking of other people and take care of your own mental health for once" husk said firmly.

"Yeah you're probably right" angel sighed.

"Of course I am" he winked at him "Now come help me pack a picnic" I smiled softly as the two walked away. They've become such good friends.

"Charlie!" Dad flew into my arms and engulfed me in a hug "I'm so excited. This is the first family trip we've had in well forever!"

"Yeah it'll be nice to get away for a while" I smiled at him. I gotta admit having some quality father daughter time does sound nice.

His eyes lit up at my response "I'm going to pack some fun beach games for us. Oh we're going to have so much fun!" He kissed my forehead before flying off.

"I believe all preparations are in order" alastor appeared from the shadows "shall I get our ride ready?"

"That would be super alastor" I nodded greatfully. He gave a curt nod before dissolving back into the shadows.

"Ok all packed" vaggie came down the stairs with a packed bag "you ready to go sweetie?" She held out her hand to me.

"Yes!" I took her hand with a grin "let's have a super awesome day!"
