Charlie's pov

"Phew what a workout" I wiped the sweat from my forehead.

"And we totally wiped the floor with those suckers. Team morningstar for the win!" Dad held his hand up which I happily high fived.

"The only reason you two won was because my teammates either didn't care or were too small to catch the ball" vaggie gestured over at alastor and nifty.

"Jelousy isn't a good look on you vaggie" dad booped her nose playfully.

"I'm not jealous sir. I just wish I had better teammates" vaggie sighed.

"Well you can be on our team next time" I said reassuringly.

"Yeah we'd love to have you" dad and I pulled her into a group hug. She smiled softly before suddenly gasping.

"Sweetie you're burning up" she grabbed my arm worriedly "come on we're getting some sun cream on you"

We walked over to angel and husk who were reading a book together. Husk looked up casually "oh you're little game's over?"

"Yeah. We need some suncream ASAP" vaggie said firmly.

He reached into our bag and threw her some suncream which she easily caught. She sat me down and started rubbing suncream on my skin.

"Thanks vaggie but you really don't need to stress so much" I said reassuringly.

"I'm not stressing babe. Just trying to keep your beautiful skin safe" she rubbed her nose against mine, making me giggle.

"Your skin is so pale your majesty" alastor gently took dad's hand and rubbed some suncream on his arm "we must protect it before it turns as red as your eyes"

"Thanks. I'll do yours afterwards" dad mumbled softly.

"If you insist dear" he smiled softly.

I felt happy watching them. They're finally getting along!
