Charlie's pov

Our fun was cut short by the sound of desperate splashing and gargled screams. We turned around and to our shock and disbelief it was...

"Husk!" I yelled out in a panic.

"He can't swim" vaggie muttered in disbelief.

"I'm coming for you whiskers!" Angel swam over to the boy and dragged him out of the water.

He dropped him on the beach where he lay limping "fuck he's not breathing" angel muttered shakily.

"What do we do-" before I could finish angel started doing chest compressions. We surrounded the boys with worry in our hearts.

"Come on god damnit you can't leave me" angel bent down and gave him a kiss of life. It's then that husk shot up.

"Da fuck are you doing CPR for!" husk yelled "I can't die you fucking idiot. I'm already in hell-" his angry rant was cut off by angel pulling him into a hug.

"I'm so glad you're ok" angel sniffled as tears rolled down his cheeks "don't ever scare me like that again ok whiskers"

"Don't drag me into the water next time" husk chuckled lightly "come on spider don't cry. I'm fine though my chest hurts like a bitch"

He nodded as he picked the cat boy up "you guys keep playing. Husk needs his rest"

"We shouldn't keep playing after something like that just happened" I said firmly "we should all go back-"

"Charlie it's fine" he said reassuringly "I'll take care of husk. You just keep everyone's spirits up. It's what you're best at" he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear before walking off with husk in his arms.

I took a deep breath before turning to the others "alright gang you heard the man. Let's get back to fun"

The others nodded as we reluctantly got back into the water.
