Chapter 6 - The Assignment
It was time for the stealth team to leave for Sorgan. Anakin had waited for them in the hangar to heat up the Twilight's engine. Now, the team was loading their basic necessities onto the ship
"Master, are we seriously taking this rust bucket? Isn't there any other ship we can take?"
"Hey. Don't be cold snips. The Twilight can hold its own. As long as you don't crash it." Anakin snapped.
" I think I can work with this ship. Looks flyable." Reetha added.
"Nice to see that one of you is optimistic." Anakin said as he headed down the ramp of the ship. "I've already run a scan on the ship, everything is in good condition. The clones have settled in and, before you leave, may I introduce you to your droid." A green astromech appeared from behind the general. "Reetha, meet R4D7. " The green driod chirped as it approached Reetha.
"Hey there little guy. You look cute." Reetha crouched to pet the droid as it let out a series of beeps.
"I've entered several refueling stations into R4". "Thank you, Master." Reetha nodded as and started to head up the ramp with Ahsoka and R4 following suit.
"Girls.." Anakin called back. "May the force be with you."

It's been about an hour in the Twilight. The hyperspace tunnels lights reflected into Reetha's black eyes as she got lost in her thoughts.
"Hey there stranger." Ahsoka approached, holding a bowl of soup. "It's dinner time."
"Thanks Ahsoka."
"So, hyperspace is nice."
"It certainly can be. Thanks for bringing me a bowl."
"No problem." the togruta replied. She looked into the tunnel then tilted her head slightly towards Reetha. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but you were from Sorgan, right?"
Reetha smiled slightly. "I take is Master Skywalker told you.."
"He did actually. Just before we left." Just as you were about to reply Ahsoka cut you of. "-Uhm you don't have to, if its personal or anything-"
"Haha, chill Ahsoka. It's fine, honestly. And yeah, I'm from Sorgan." Reetha said as she took small sips from her soup. "I was 4, when the Jedi found me. I was not particularly strong in the force, but I went along willingly because I had to learn how to control my Force morphing."
"Ahh. I see." Ahsoka sighed thoughtfully. "So, do you know your parents?"
"I was raised by my honorary grandmother. I.. never met my parents. I heard that they are still alive.. just.. well, never met them."
"Oh, I'm sorry Reetha."
"It's all good. It kinda helps with the no attachments thing."
After talking with Ahsoka a little more, the two padawans headed down to their rooms to rest up.

-reached Sorgan
Sorgan's emitted a calming blue light as the Twilight slowly entered its atmosphere. Reetha, Ahsoka and the others have changed into regular civilian clothing. The Twilight was landed on a clearing by a lake, well hidden by Sorgan's lush forests.
"Alright. R4, stay on the ship. Your our get away pilot. Keep your comm channel open, alright buddy." "Beep beep booop...chirp!" "Yeah, buddy. I try to find you a new antenna." Reetha patted R4's dome and walked down the ramp to join the rest of the team.
"There seems to be a tavern just 4 minutes away from here. Its a walking distance." Rex said as he read out some coordinates from a holo map.
Ahsoka tightened her hood around the montrails "We should carry minimal weapons, oh, and try to hide them, Hardcase."
"Sir, yes sir." He replied with a smile and a two finger salute.
"Okay, since I need to be in my wolf form, I should morph here. Also, we should spread out in smaller groups. I can track when I'm in my wolf form. Ahsoka and Kix both have an DMF (droid magnetic field) scanner. We are already at the southern hemisphere, so all we need to do is pick our teams." Reetha suggested.
Ahsoka, Rex, Kix and Hardcase looked at Reetha, nodding in agreement.
"What?"
"No offense commander, but you kind of forgot to assign us to our teams." Kix pointed out.
"Oh. Well.... I'm kinda new to this. I actually thought, since you know each others strengths better, you'd know who you work best with...?"
Rex chuckled slightly "With all due respect Reetha, you were put in charge here. General Skywalker entrusted you with this task, so we trust you decisions as well. We will go with what you choose." He said as he softly smiled to her. Reetha looked up to Rex, still a little unsure, but decided to take her responsibility head on.
"Okay, Kix and Rex will go with Ahsoka. Hardcase, your with me." Reetha pulled up a holo map. "Hardcase and I with scout the plains. The locals there have reported seeing recon units. The rest of you will check out the taverns. Find any information you can about the base.
Try not to be conspicuous. Ahsoka and team will have to enter the tavern one by one. Try not to show any relation to each other. Sorgan isn't actually a business area, so if a group of three strangers dressed like us, smugglers, happen to walk in together at once, we will raise suspicion, and on Sorgan, rumors spread like wild fire." The team nodded to Reetha.
" We have 5 days to complete our investigation. We need to find as much of information as possible. If a team happens to find a recon unit, inform me, and tract them but don't engage them. If we can confirm the base within 3 days, we will send a transmission to Master Skywalker to confirm our next moves. We meet back here at 1800. you guys clear on the plan?"
"All good commander." "Clear. "Got it."
"Alright. Let's do this. Dismissed."
As every one got into their groups, Reetha was readying herself to morph, when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to find Ahsoka. "That was some good briefing." "Thanks Ahsoka. Honestly, I was quite nervous."
"I understand, I felt the same when I led my first mission. But, you had a good start. Good luck on your half of the mission." Ahsoka nodded to Reetha. "Thanks Ahsoka, good luck and may the force be with you." Ahsoka smiled back and walked over to her group.
Seeing Hardcase walking towards Reetha, she began to morph. "Sweet. Ya know vod'ika, you should do that more often." Hardcase said and ruffled the fur under the white loth's head. "Let's go find some clankers." He said walking towards the plains.
Reetha was about to leave, when she sensed Rex looking at her before disappearing into the forest. Reetha turned to meet his eyes. "Take care vod'ika." The loth wolf then howled lowly, as Rex heard her thoughts in his mind, "May the force be with you to, ner vod." Then she trotted of to Hardcase.

Ahsoka, Rex and Kix had walked about 30 minutes, when the tavern was in their sights.
"Alright, I'll go in first. Kix, you can follow me in. Rex, walk in when i signal your comm. We will sit at opposite ends of the tavern." Ahsoka suggested, and Rex nodded, then slowed down his pace to put some distance from the two.
Ahsoka and Kix approached the tavern, and Kix opened the door, and the both were greeted by some cantina music (not THE cantina band). Ahsoka and Kix walked in casually towards a booth and sat themselves down. Ahsoka the pressed her comm to signal Rex. He'd be on his way.
"Hello travellers, can i interest you in anything? A bowl of broth perhaps?" a young woman, a waitress attended their table. "Yes please, thank you." Ahsoka said. "How about you sir?" she asked Kix. "I'll get the same as her. Thank you." the waitress nodded and walked away. "Looks like we have our cover.
She didn't seem realize I'm a clone." "We will need that." Ahsoka smiled to Kix's way. Soon, Kix saw Rex enter the tavern out of the corner of his eye and nudged Ahsoka's leg under the table, mouthing 'He's here'. Ahsoka nodded. Rex took a seat somewhere at the corner, as the opposite end of the table.
"Reetha, were in the tavern." Ahsoka communicated. She felt the hum of approval from Reetha.
-meanwhile-
Reetha and Hardcase had reached the plains and saw some local settlements just ahead. Reetha nudged Hardcase and continued walking.
"Tell them that your a tradesman, whose ship broke at the Lost Pools." Reetha instructed. "Okay, but what in the world are the Lost Pools?" "Just some pockets of salt water towards SouthWest of here." "Great, but how did you know about it?" Hardcase gave Reetha a quizzical look. "Hardcase, I'm from Sorgan." She felt Hardcase's surprise. "So, Hardcase, ever rode a loth wolf before?"
Hardcase approached the village on Reetha's, well, her loth wolf's back. He stopped at the edge of the village as he saw a farmer. "Hello sir." he beckoned. "Hello, what may I- WOAH!" Hardcase jumped of Reetha's back, as he approached the farmer. "No need to worry sir, my friend here in tame. I promise, she won't harm you or your village."
---
"We have found the locals. Find all the information you can. Meet back at the Twilight at 1800."
