"Welcome home honey!"

Emily looked like a zombie as she entered the living room.Her mom was sitting on the couch with a bowl of popcorn,watching some Charlie Chaplin movie.

"You look bad..That's not right.."she said keeping her bowl down.

Usually Emily came home in a happy mood.She wasn't the one to come back sad or depressed.Even where her report card was given or even if she had been playing basketball all day,she would come home fresh and happy.

"Nothing..Just sleepy..Had detention.."she mumbled and kept her bag aside, stretching herself on the couch.

"I'll get you something to drink honey?"she asked running her hands through Emily's brown curls."No mom I'm fine.."she said and looked into her mom's eyes.

Her mom, Isabella,looked away and turned to the screen,smiling"This movie is so funny..You have to watch this.."

"Did dad come?What did he say?"

Her smile fell."It's.. Honey..You should be hungry..Let me get you something to..."

Emily sat up straight,looking at her mom sternly"I want to know what happened..I have all rights to know that"she said

Her mom sighed, switching off the television.

"Yes.I went to the office at eight..."

Isabella started getting ready as soon as Emily left for school.She dressed herself nearly and sighed at the thought that she had to dress up so well to meet her husband and end things with him.

She walked outside and met her friend and neighbour Madame Fleur."Hey Isabella!Nice dress" She smiled"Thanks Fleur..Going to collect the documents..."she said trying to sound cheerful but failing miserably.

"Aw honey!Come here"she said and gave Isabella a hug.Isabella hugged back,trying not to cry.

"It's ok Fleur..I'm fine..So..Anything new?"

Fleur grinned.

Madame Fleur knew everything that happened in the neighborhood.She was very chatty and her work was to find out what exactly happens in each and every house and gossip for hours with the neighbours about it.

"A new family has moved in.Not a big one though.A father and son.I think the son goes to the school Emily goes to.I heard the Dad is a hottie" Fleur said grinning.

Isabella was hardly listening"Oh..Ok..I think it's time..Meet you soon..Bye!"she said smiling and started walking towards the main road.

She caught a cab and was on her way when her phone rang.

Sebastian Valentine

Her heart skipped a beat.She attended the call

"S-sebastian..?"

"Are you there?"

"No..I'm on my way.."

"Be there in ten minutes..The hearing has been preponed.Bye"

Isabella sighed "Fine"she mumbled keeping her phone back.

She remembered the times he used to call her just to hear her voice and talk to her without a reason when he was in his office..Those were awesome days..

"Here you are madam"

She got out and paid for the can before walking up.

She was asked to wait and in a few minutes Sebastian walked in.He looked handsome,as always.The guy who stole her heart..Just to break it and return it back

She smiled"Hey..."

"I hope I am not late..I have a date with Melissa..I have to be there soon"

He didn't even acknowledge her presence and it was more like he was talking to himself.

Both of them stayed silent during the whole process.All the paperwork was done and the document was given to them for their signature.

She was very good at controlling her tears..She has mastered that art and managed to show no emotion as she signed.

Sebastian signed and took his copy"All over?"

The lady nodded"Yes sir"

He looked at Isabella"How..How is Emily..?"

"She's good.."

"I wish she could have come with me.."

Emily was given a choice.She could have chosen to go with her dad or live with her mom.

She she chose her mom without a second thought

Isabella held her documents tightly"She is the only one I have right now..And I know she will not leave me half way for someone else..Like you"she said and walked away quickly,fearing she would start crying soon.

Emily was in tears.She notice how her mom's facial features twisted in pain as she narrated what had happened.She wished she had never asked her about it.

"Where is the dad I know?"Emily asked in a low tone

"That side we knew..I knew..It died I guess..It's ok honey. We have eachother..We want noone else"she said.

Emily hugged her mom tight.She never wanted to leave her side

Isabella pulled away after a few minutes"Don't cry honey..I'll make something for you"she said and walked towards the kitchen

Emily went to her room and sat on her bed .

What she read was true..There was nothing kse which could hurt a person more than that..The scars of love.

She changed her clothes and her phone buzzed.

It was a message from some unknown number

"Hey beautiful!"

Emily blinked.

"Um..Who is this?"

The reply came within a minute

"Your newbie darling"

Newbie darling?

Then it struck her.That newbie..She forgot his name..Jason?Jackson?

She gritted her teeth

"What do you want Jackson?"

She walked down the stairs to the kitchen

"It's not Jackson dear..It's Jeremy"
