Emily was in bed thinking of some reason to bunk school.

It had been a week since she had a good night's sleep. Her mind was never at peace and she had totally changed within just a week.

She had lost her appetite,she had lost weight even without meaning to and her attitude had changed too.

She was the one who used to scare students so much that they would want to skip school. Now she was the one thinking of ways to skip school.

That much the newbie had affected her.

She got angry at the though of his name but tried to control it. She had already broken three plates,two alarm clocks,a few photo frames hanging on the walls and almost broke her phone.

And thank god her mom hadn't found out about..

"..Emily?!Where are those new plates I got a week ago?"

Darn.

She quickly covered herself and pretended to sleep while her mother walked up the stairs enquiring about the apparently missing plates.

Which Emily buried in the backyard two days ago.

She heard her mom coming up the stairs and closed her eyes. The door clicked open and there was silence before her mother pulled the covers away.

"Emily?"

"M-mom..I'm..Sick..I feel like..I'm going to throw up..."

Silence

Emily had pinched her cheeks hard until they were red and turned to face her mother with a sick look

Her mother was standing near the bed,her hands crossed against her chest.

"Not working"

Emily raised her eyebrows a little"Im serious..I'm really.."

"No.You aren't sick.It was a head ache on Monday, Stomach ache on Tuesday and today it's fever?"

Emily bit her lip

"What's it Emily? Have you not finished some project or homework?"

Emily wouldn't have cared about that at all.

Whenever she didn't do her projects or homeworks, which happened seven days a week, she would literally stand up and tell the teacher she didn't do it. And even if the teacher scolds her and asks her to leave the class, she does it without throwing tantrums and promises of submitting it the next day as she knows that wouldn't happen.

And the teacher knows no matter what Emily would ace her exams as usual. Even if she wasn't the class topper she managed to be in the top five in her class always and everyone wondered how she got the time to study in between her busy schedule of pranking, bullying and partying.

Emily didn't know it herself to be honest. It just came her way in the end.

"No mom..I'm feeling.."

"Not a chance. In five minutes I want you downstairs to have breakfast"

Her mom said in a final tone and walked out of her room.

Emily sighed. She dreaded going to school.

She took a quick shower and went down, staring at her sandwich and juice. She had lost her appetite.

"Mom..I'm not hungry..I'll leave bye!"she said and kissed her mother in the cheek and raced outside before her mother could protest and force her to eat her breakfast.

Jeremy woke up cheerfully,earlier than his usual time. He took a shower and changed to his casual shirt and jeans. He went down and started making sandwiches when his dad came down smiling

"Ah!Someone seems to be in a good mood!What's up?" he asked sitting down.

Jeremy chuckled"Nothing dad.."

"It's the girl isn't it?"

Jeremy grinned like a loon.

Emily was always in his mind. He didn't mind if she hated him to the core and wanted him dead..He knew she was changing..She wasn't the bully she was before..She had become more quite..And a better person.

His dad had easily found out that it was a girl from his behaviour. Even he had been a teenager once.

"You look so happy..Who is she?" His dad asked walking towards him and helping him.

"Dad..I'll tell you when she has the same feelings for me too..I'll bring her and introduce you to her too"he said smiling

He was pretty much excited about the whole concept of love.He was new to this feeling.He had never liked a girl as much as he loved wicked Valentine.He had a lot of scenarios up in his mind as to how he would tell her,how they would go out every week,how they could study together..

The list was endless

Simon chuckled"Whatever you say my boy..I just hope it goes well for you"he said smiling.

Jeremy smiled back and gobbled up his breakfast.He didn't want to be late.

His phone buzzed and he glanced at the screen.

Sophia Williams

Jeremy sighed.

From that day he had insulted Emily,things had changed..People had also changed.Everyone treated him like a king and never behaved in a way he didn't like.Everyone was trying to please him and the many girls flirted Shamelessly with him.

They treated him like some sort of a person who had replaced the queenly position Emily had once occupied.They didn't exactly have a choice to dislike him..They thought getting on his wrong side might be fatal for them or something.

On the other hand,Jeremy just enjoyed the attention he was getting.He didn't know much about people trying to please him as they feared him or something.Being a new student,students would usually bully him,tag him and use him as an entertainment

But none of that happened and he was glad.

And Sophia was the Queen bee and the leader of the flirts group Matt had mentioned the other day.She had been constantly trying to flirt with him and was trying to get his attention. Jeremy was trying to avoid her as much as possible but he had Maths, English and History with her so it was hard to get away from her.

He wondered how she had got his number..

"Who's on the phone?"Simon asked as he stared at his son who was in deep thought,his eyes fixed on the phone

"Nothing.."he said and cut the call.

"I'm leaving dad.."he said as he finished his food.

Simon smiled"Bye son..Have a happy day!"

Jeremy smiled and took his bag,waving at his dad before walking out,his thoughts already directed towards his princess.

Emily thought about all the possible stuff she could do to skip school but nothing would go unnoticed.She gulped and took a deep breath before entering the school

Usually students would make way for her when she entered the school.They didn't want to run into her and be the victim of her bullying the first thing  in the morning.

But now Emily tried to make her way though the crowds of kids.Students barely noticed her arrival.

And Emily didn't want them to notice her.It was the first time she didn't want to be the centre of attraction.

First people had been talking about how Jeremy had stumped her and slowly it started to become an element of humour.They started joking and mocking at her behind her back and soon whenever she passed by the hallways people laughed and teased her.

She tried to glare at them and probably give them a lash out but it seemed like an impish fear held her back.She wasn't able to argue or retaliate anymore.She felt helpless and weak.

Those feelings felt alien to her.

As soon as she entered the hallways she walked directly to her locker as fast as she could.As usual a few noticed her and passed comments which she didn't react to.This was why she didn't want to come to school.

She was scared,afraid of those who teased her,who mocked at her.She didn't want to sound weak or protrayed herself as a weak person in front of them.

That was the reason she had been wearing her mask of a bully all along.

She opened her locker and saw a group of students crowded around the locker of the newbie.

It was not something unusual. Everyone treated him like a hero.

"Oh that's such a sexy shirt Rosie!!"

Emily cringed at that voice. If course it was Sophia,the school's biggest slut. She had been following him like a sick puppy and was trying so hard to get him to bed.

And that newbie seemed to enjoy Sophia's slutting.

"Get a room people" Emily muttered under her breath,grabbing her books outside.

"If I were you..I would have given him the taste of his own medicine.."

Emily almost jumped and turned back to look at Alex who had an idiotic smirk on his face.

"What do you want Alex?"Emily asked gritting her teeth.

"Well..That doesn't matter..What maters is what you want..Don't you want to take revenge badly?"

Emily glanced at the group if students and the newbie in the middle, grinning at all of them and talking something.

"If I were you..I wouldn't wait for such a long time..Are you going easy on him?"

If course not she thought clenching her fists.

"..Or have you fallen for the newbie?"

Emily glared at him"Of course not douche bag"she said

"Then what's stopping you?" He asked with a triumphant smile and winked at her before walking away.

Alex had added fuel to Emily's fire.She didn't know what she was going to do..But was sure she wasn't going to let Jeremy get away..He was going to pay for what he had done..

She would make sure he was humiliated infront of all the students in front of whom she was insulted

And which place could be more apt for it than the cafe in the lunch break?

With a sinister smirk, Emily walked past the crowd, doing exactly what Alex as wanted.
