As Marinette stared at Chloe, already prepared to jump off the roof, she felt strangely connected to her. Tied through beliefs and goals.

For the very first time Marinette thought to herself there – I see – someone with the same pain as me

Having done this time and time again, having helped so many people, while wishing this fate on herself, Marinette understood what Chloe was about to do.

Marinette mentally noted Chloe's appearance especially her classic yellow cardigan, now tied at her waist.

"Chloe, please-" Marinette called, but was interrupted by Chloe.

"I just wanna stop the scars that grow, everytime that I go home."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm an awful person, everywhere I go, someone gets hurt. I berate my daddy constantly and have ended up losing 6 months of my life from it. I can't deal with it anymore. Besides, everyone hates me, its better this way." She sighs. "That's why I came up here instead."

That's what the girl in the cardigan said.

"Woah, wait a minute." Marinette said, then paused. What did I just say? She internally questioned. I couldn't care less either way. Chloe has been awful, to her, to her friends, to everyone. Wouldn't it be better this way...?

But looking into Chloe's eyes, as she was starting to let go of the railing, Marinette couldn't help herself. No one has to die!

In the moment I just screamed.

"Chloe!"

Something that I did not believe.

"Don't do it – please!"

Chloe paused, and turned back around to face Marinette, whose arm was outstretched, hand towards her.

Marinette began to cry, scared for Chloe's safety. What to do?! She thought. She tried to think of what to say to connect with Chloe and hopefully bring her safely down, but she couldn't think of anything. I can't stop this girl – oh this is new!

She grew confused and upset over not knowing what to say.

"For once I think I've bitten off more than I can chew." Marinette quietly muttered, before lifting her head up and looking directly at Chloe. "But even so, please just go away, so I can't see your pitiful expression." Chloe's tearful face continued to create more tears, as Marinette continued, also crying.

"It's just too much for me!"

Marinette slowly started to pull her hand away – towards her face – but Chloe caught it, and smiled kindly at her.

"I guess today is just not my day." Chloe said, before letting go of Marinette's hand, leaving the edge of the roof and walking past Marinette. Marinette closed her eyes, wiping the tears away with her hands. When she opened them...

Chloe had disappeared.

Yay Chloe is saved! Marinette did a good job!

The problem now it... well... is you've seen the song My R then you'll probably know.

I'm planning on having a total of 15 chapters, so now there's five left – gotta have a build up to the final verse.
