- Yasir's POV -

"How do I break it to Nadira?" I think out loud.

"Easy. She'll find out at tomorrow's party without a warning." Lateef answers.

"That might hurt her." I frown.

Lateef only snorts. "Sorry, I didn't mean to. If you think about it... Nadira didn't warn you beforehand either. You found out at her engagement party, it'll be like teasing her."

There's a bit of mockery in his voice but he's not wrong. She didn't personally tell me anything until after we found out at her engagement party. I guess it wouldn't hurt anyone to play around with her feelings.

"Did you help Noor pick a dress?" Lateef asks.

I raise a brow. "Why would I?"

"Uh... Because you said you would." He looks at me confused.

I roll my eyes. "I have more important things to do than help Noor pick a dress. Besides, I sent mother to help her. She'll be fine."

"Wow, you started off your husband duties with such a bang!" He says sarcastically.

"It's just a dress." I grunt. "Not a big-fucking-deal."

He sighs. "It's fine. It's better if its a surprise. She'll probably take your breathe away with her entrance."

I chuckle slightly. "Sure."

I don't think any other woman has managed to make my heart flutter, other than Nadira. Tomorrow would be no different.

I just hope Nadira will understand why I'm doing this. This is better for us in the long run when she finally leaves Shahid for me. We can finally start a family, far away from here.

"You know what would be a really fun experiment on your wife and girlfriend?" Lateef purses his lips so he doesn't laugh. "If you suddenly told them both that you're broke and need to sell everything to start over. Just to see each of their reactions."

"I know you're trying to make Nadira look back. Obviously she'll react with a panic, she's always been like that." I answer.

"I know she will. But I just want to know how they'll handle the situation because they're both such different individuals." Lateef thinks.

"I don't have time to play game, Lateef." I sigh.

"I'm not forcing you, it's just a fun game. Not all of us have two partners to play around with." Again, his tone holds a mix of annoyance and ridicule.

Something about this stirs a deep panic within me. How would Nadira act and how would Noor act? Why do I have a feeling that I might not like the way either of them would handle the situation?

"Sir?" Lateef snaps his fingers in front of me. "Do you want to stay after work to finish this? Because I don't."

"The arrangement for this company doesn't apply to..." I go back to talking about business as if nothing happened.

"Tomorrow will be fun." Lateef randomly adds to our conversation.

"Okay?" I give him a look.

Tomorrow will be chaos.

- Noor's POV-

The shopping trip was exhausting. Yasir's mother wasn't lying when she said we'll need the massage seats afterwards. I couldn't feel my legs or my arms.

The dress I chose is straight out of my own fairytale. The second I laid eyes on the design, I knew I wanted to wear it. Everyone else agreed with me, which made me happier.

The party starts at 6 PM. I look at the clock, 3:15 PM.

"When will you start getting ready?" Ayesha asks, peaking her head through the door crack.

"Uh... 4?" I say in an unsure tone.

"Great! I think we're leaving at 5:30. Be done by at least 5:15." She leaves after those strict words.

I take out the dress and my God, I can't keep my eyes off of it. I love it so much.

It's a cornflower blue dress that cinches, using a jewelled belt, at the waist. The material is a light, georgette fabric that flows starting under the waist. The sleeves is what had me sold. There was no way I wasn't not going to get this dress once I saw the sleeves. They're made out of semi visible georgette fabric, very flowy and puffy, giving it the runaway royal vibe.

At first I was upset because the dress is an off the shoulder. The royal blue details along with the jewelled neckline that reaches the beginning of the sleeve made the dress extravagant though still simple enough.

Once I mentioned that I would like to see something like this in a fully covered version, the seamstress said that they didn't carry any and it would take weeks to make. However, she became my superhero when she said that she could make me a light blue inner blouse that would cover the whole of my neck and arms that would blend in with the exposed parts of the dress. I agreed immediately.

Once I put on the dress, I realize that she did an amazing job, matching the perfect blue blouse to match the dress. I pair it with a white chiffon hijab and white Manolo Blahnik jewelled heels.

Wait, wait, wait just guess the name of the style of the heels! It's hilarious!

It's in the style 'Nadira'. She absolutely belongs under my feet. I didn't know the name of the style until I already purchased the shoes but ironic, huh?

I keep my makeup to a minimal but glowy enough to make a statement with the outfit.

Ayesha barges into my room exactly at 5:10.

"Oh. My. God." Her eyes widen. "Noor appi (sister), if Yasir bhai (brother) doesn't get blown away by this... I don't know what will rattle his cage."

Nadira can definitely rattle his cage with a flutter of her eyelashes.

"Thank you." I blush.

"You look like a fairy princess who descended to save us all from an apocalypse or something. I can't take my eyes off of you, Mash'Allah! You're going to need a lot of Mash'Allah's tonight." She grins.

My sister has never complimented this much in my life so I'm guessing I actually look good for once.

"You cleaned yourself up really well." I say as I examine my sister's outfit. She opted it for a simpler light pink a-line gown, which still looked luxurious.

"Thanks! You'll only see me like this until your wedding events are over." She laughs. "Farrah is downstairs helping Amma pin her hijab. She looks gorgeous in lavender."

I already knew Farrah would look beautiful. Everything suits her.

Abbu's suit was customized for him a week ago. It was one of Yasir's father's gift to Abbu. Amma ended up choosing a similar style to Ayesha's but in a cream colour, while Farrah chose a lavender purple.

"We all look so beautiful, Mash'Allah! Especially my Noor. You look like such a glowing bride." Abbu says with pride. "The Khans sent us a car, it's waiting outside."

"Oh my, they really are taking care of us." Amma feels a little guilty.

"Let them. This is a penny for them." Ayesha snickers.

"Ayesha! You always make comments like this." Amma shakes her head.

Once we step outside, there is a sparkling, white Rolls Royce Phantom waiting for us with the driver standing beside the passenger door.

"And the night begins..." Farrah says as she enters the car first.

So, it does. Let's see what it will bring us.
