"Daddy seems to really be enjoying that dirty word," Monophanie commented.

"...Mommy." Monotaro was furiously wiping away his tears.

"Okay, everyone!" Kokichi chirped. "Let's do this! I'll find the culprit this time, no matter what!" He winked at you.

"What are you being so cheery about!?" Himiko yelled at him.

The boy placed his hands behind his head and just smiled at everyone. "Well, what're you sad about? You guys hated her! Not as much as you hate me...but still!"

"I never wanted her to die," Kaito growled. "I wanted us all to escape together."

"Miu was certainly brash and spirited, but she wasn't a bad person," Kiibo commented. "Believe me, I had her perform maintenance on my body! So I know! I know...very well! Krgh... I want to cry, but I can't... I should have had Miu install a crying function!"

"Huh? Wouldn't your tears cause you to short circuit?" Kokichi inquired.

"Not at all. My body is completely waterproof."

A moment of silence passed...before Gonta spoke up.

"Urgh... Gonta no can forgive this. Gonta...never forgive this. Never forgive culprit, either..." All of a sudden he started to fume. "But Gonta never forgive self! Gonta swear to protect everyone! But Gonta fail to protect Miu! Gonta no could protect anyone again! Gonta is failure as gentleman!"

You walked up to him. "Don't feel bad... We may find out that you couldn't have done anything to help it," you whispered. "Just help as much as you can with this trial and that's the best that you can do." When he nodded at you, you took it as your cue to walk back near Kokichi...who was slowly creeping up beside Shuichi.

"Shuichi, don't carry the burden all by yourself," you heard Kaito say.

"Huh?"

"You're my sidekick! Don't forget. We're gonna do it together! If we work together, we can solve this—"

"No way, Jose," Kokichi butted in.

"Wha...What!?"

"Shuichi is the Ultimate Detective. So he's the most reliable person in a class trial, y'know?" he asked with a smirk. "Why would we let such an important person work together with a suspect like you?"

You gulped nervously, wondering if you should even be there. You tried to look at the small boy but at the time, it seemed like he was refusing to even glance at you.

Kaito's face darkened. "Suspect...?" he asked through gritted teeth. "You're saying that if I was the culprit, Shuichi would hide the truth to protect me? Bullsh*t! Don't underestimate Shuichi! Even if I was the culprit, he's the type of guy that'd see things through!"

Kokichi looked down to the ground. "But, remember Kaede's class trial—"

"He saw us through that, didn't he!?" the tall male barked furiously. "I believe in Shuichi!"

"Nishishi... You love to believe, don't you, Kaito?" A smirk grew on the little leader's face. "But that belief can turn against you, especially in this killing game, y'know?"

"Heh... I've got no idea what you're talking about... I don't get it at all..." He sighed in defeat. "Fine, if you're gonna get all worked up over it, then me and Shuichi won't team up."

"B-But..."

"Don't worry! It's just for now! But hearing him say all that... I can't stay quiet! That said, try to get through this on your own! Clear me of suspicion with your own power!"

"Nishishi...if you can be cleared," Kokichi giggled. "Oh, hey, Shuichi?"

"What?" Shuichi asked, sounding exhausted already.

"You don't mind if beloved (Y/N) joins us, right?" he cooed and turned to look at you. Caught off guard and surprised by the question, you started to involuntarily blush.

"What!?" Kaito turned around on his heels to face you all once more. "So (Y/N) gets to help, but I don't!? Now how is that fair?"

"Shut up, Kaito," Kokichi quickly snapped. "I can assure you that (Y/N) is plenty smart enough. That's why I want them to help Shuichi and I, you get it?"

Kaito just huffed and stomped off.

"'Us'...?" Shuichi tilted his head at the boy.

"Um, yeah...! We're investigating together! Oh, but don't worry. I won't get in your way. And I'm not trying to replace Kaito as your partner, okay? I'm just here to help... So that means that I'm also asking if you're fine with (Y/N) joining us."

"It's...fine... You don't have to say yes," you said slowly.

"I guess that I'm not going to get rid of him," the detective sighed. "I have a feeling that you can keep him under control...for the most part. So I guess that I'm not opposed to having you help with the investigation."

"Another person I have to deal with..." he muttered under his breath... Oh. Seems like you weren't supposed to hear that.

You attempted to gulp your nervousness down, but if anything then it only made you even more choked up. Why was everything so awkward all of a sudden? "Um, anyway... I think that we should start now by looking at the Monokuma File."

You're just a dead weight for the both of them. They don't want you there. Just go investigate on your ow—

"Yes, we should totally do that! I'm so proud!" Kokichi smiled cheerfully at you, only causing you to become more embarrassed.

Shuichi seemed to give you a look of pity before pulling out the file. "The victim is the Ultimate Inventor, Miu Iruma," he read aloud. "The body was discovered in the computer room on the fourth floor. Approximate time of death is 6:30 a.m.. There are no external wounds on the body..."

"The time of death happened 30 minutes before now...while we were still in the Virtual World," Kokichi noted. "Where are we going to investigate now?"

>>Monokuma File 4

Shuichi glanced over to the body and walked closer. You and Kokichi followed, Kokichi trying to grab your hand while doing so.

"Now isn't the time," you whispered. "We're investigating a dead body..." You turned to look at Miu. She was just the same as she was the first time that you had seen her as soon as you had logged out of the Virtual World. You noticed, though, with the way that her hands were clasped around her neck... It was as if she were gasping for air... Strangulation..? you wondered.

"Ewww, that is one grody face," the purple haired boy commented. "Miu must have suffered a lot. Nishishi... A vulgar death fit for a vulgar b*tch."

"Stop, Kokichi. Even if you're joking, that's too far," Shuichi told him.

"You're right! You should never speak ill of the dead, no matter how much you hated them!" A smirk grew on his face. "Even if she was a despised, pathetic, dirty cum toilet of a person!"

You tilted your head at him. "Why a toilet...? Last time, if I'm remembering correctly, you called her a cum dumpster."

"Dumpster, toilet, whatever!" He raised a brow at you. "What? Did you think that you found a clue?"

"Ah, uhm..."

"Aaanyway... I wonder what's Miu's case of death? It doesn't say in the Monokuma File..."

"Um... May I?" Kiibo suddenly asked. "I wanted to let you know just in case it turns out to be a clue... Um... I was the first one to log out and find Miu's body. She was still wearing the helmet, and her body was contorting into this awful position... Maki logged out after I did, and she helped me take Miu's helmet off. And then...she was gone."

"Is that a confession?" Kokichi asked jokingly.

"How is that a confession!?"

Hm... So if that's the case... I wonder what happened. Her hand position makes it look like she's been strangled, but I shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet...

>>Miu's Corpse

"A glitch..." you heard Shuichi mutter.

"Huuuh? What'd you say?" Kokichi asked him.

The detective picked up the visor that was on the table in front of Miu. "Remember? We were supposed to plug the two cords from the computer into these two ports. Red for consciousness and blue for memory."

"Oh. Miu thought that things might start to glitch if the two cords were mixed up, right?" you inquired.

"Yeah, she did..."

>>Device Instructions

You looked off to the side before deciding to walk over to Gonta. Shuichi and Kokichi followed after you. Huh... So I guess we really are doing this together. "Hey, um... How are you feeling?"

"..."

"Gonta, are you alright...?" Shuichi asked the gentle giant with a concerned tone.

Then Kokichi lilted, "Are you still depressed about Miu? C'mon, don't be such a Debbie Downer. Oh, Gonta, I wanna know what you think. Rare, I know, but who do you think is the culprit?"

"Gonta...not know. Murder already happen when Gonta wake up..." He started to sweat a bit. "But...why this happen...!? Why Miu killed!? Gonta not understand... Gonta not understand anything..." He...started to cry. "But Gonta frustrated and sad! Gonta no could protect Miu!"

"He seems all over the place right now," Kokichi said in a lightly disappointed tone. "Aw man, he can't think at all when he's like this. But Gonta doesn't seem to be lying. I'm pretty sure he's telling us the truth. Well...I guess a big dum-dum like Gonta doesn't have the brains to lie in the first place."

"...Don't talk about him like that," Shuichi mumbled.

"I'm so disappointed in you, Gonta. When I first met you, I thought you'd be more useful."

You nudged him a bit, giving him a warning glance.

"S-Sorry!" Gonta cried. "Gonta so sorry! Gonta sorry he no could protect Miu!"

"If you feel that bad about it, then stop blaming yourself," the boy told him, tone a bit softer. "Help us find the culprit instead. This is the culprit's fault anyway, so pull yourself together and help us, okay?"

"O-Okay, Gonta understand... Gonta get told something similar to this before... Gonta do his best to find culprit! Gonta definitely do his best this time!"

"Yup, now that's the spirit!"

Gonta began to smile as you all walked away from him.

"Maaaan, is this investigating stuff hard or what?" He turned to you. "I bet you wanna sit down, right?"

"H-Huh...?" The next thing you knew, Kokichi was forcing you to sit down in his seat. "Geez, what was that for?" You soon noticed that something was off. "Um... There's something poking me."

Kokichi let out an exaggerated gasp. "Whaaaat?  I didn't know chairs could have erections...!"

Before you could let any indecent imagery make its way inside your head, you felt around the chair and pulled out a small bottle. You eyed it for a moment before showing it to the others.

The boy looked at it and smiled. "This is yours...right, Shuichi?"

"Mine...?" the detective repeated questioningly.

"No, I guess it's not yours, but it is from your lab..."

"Ah, that's right! This was in the Ultimate Detective's lab."

"Yeah, it's that poison."

"...So you know about this, Kokichi?" Shuichi asked.

"Of course, 'cause I already checked it. We are in a killing game, y'know? If there's poison and tricks prepared, then of course I'd investigate them ASAP... Oh, it's not so I can use them. I check in case someone else uses them."

"Is that so?" you asked him, raising a brow.

"Maaaybe, or maybe nooot... By the way," he turned the bottle over in your hand, "did you see the label on the back of this bottle?"

You looked at the label. "...The labels on this thing say that this poison is pretty lethal," you announced.

"Yeah," Kokichi chirped, glancing at the label himself. "It becomes neutralized once it's mixed, so it has to be taken directly. But when it's taken directly, the victim will immediately die, even if they only sip a bit. By the way, I should tell you what symptoms this poison causes... It causes a small blood vessel under the conjunctiva to explode, which makes the whites of your eyes turn blood red."

You blinked at him. "That, uh...sounds lovely... Bloodshot eyes, huh?"

"Yep, yep! And that's everything about this poison. Nishishi...am I doing a good job?" Kokichi turned to Shuichi. "Maybe it's time you acknowledge me as your partner," he said with a grin.

You felt a weird pang in your heart. No, it...it couldn't be anything big.

He doesn't like you back and you know it. Stop avoiding it just to give yourself false hope.

You looked down, gaze resting on the bottle just to give you something to keep your eyes on while the world continued around you.

"I thought I remembered you saying that you didn't want to be my partner," Shuichi sighed.

"Hm? Did I? Well, sometimes I lie without thinking about it. Anyway, who brought this poison? Do you think the culprit did it?"

>>Small Bottle of Poison

You felt a light tap on your shoulder. "Come on! What are you doing, lying around while there's still investigating that needs to be done!?" You looked up, finding Kokichi looking down at you, still in the chair.

See? He's outright annoyed with you...

The boy grabbed your hand, causing your heart to flutter a bit, and helped you stand up. "You okay?" he whispered into your ear. "For a second there, it seemed like you kinda dozed off. And it also kinda looked like you were mumbling something..."

You shook your head. "Ah, um, I'm fine. Now come on, we need to continue."

Kokichi nodded, a grin making its way onto his face once more. "Yeah! Now come on!" He led you a few steps over to where Shuichi was standing in front of Kaito.

"Shuichi, I gotta explain. Just so you don't misunderstand," you heard Kaito say.

"Explain what...?" the detective asked.

"You're talking about how you logged out by yourself, right?" Kokichi butted in. "O-kay! Let's hear it then."

"Wh-Why are you—?"

"Feel free to lie, of course. Exposing lies is the real pleasure of this game, after all."

Shuichi began to sweat a bit. "Kaito...just ignore him and talk to me, okay?"

Kaito paused for a moment before moving to where his back was facing Kokichi. Kokichi just turned to you with a cute pout on his face. "Meanie," he whispered to you. "How can we help with this trial if we don't have all of the information that we can get?"

"We can still try to listen..." you mumbled.

You focused on their conversation in time to hear, "...for the secret of the outside world on the rooftop, a circle lit up under me. I was suddenly sucked in, and before I knew it, I was logged out."

"And what happened after you logged out?" Shuichi asked him.

"Everyone else was still logged in, but I didn't know if it was okay for me to log back in... So I just went back to my room and slept. Since it was dawn, I was pretty tired. When I heard the body discovery announcement I rushed back here."

"Do you remember what condition Miu's body was in when you logged out?"

"Nah. I didn't pay attention to that, so I don't know."

"You didn't notice anything wrong?" Kokichi asked, taking a step closer to them. "Like whether she was dead or not?"

"Like I said, I don't know!" Kaito barked.

"Okay, sorry," he said with a smug grin. "So, I just need to object to the contradiction in that testimony, right?"

"I said I'm not lying! Tell him, Shuichi!"

"But you can't find the truth with bias," you spoke up.

Shuichi just stayed silent.

>>Kaito's Account

"You're getting even smarter by the second," Kokichi cheered with a small smile on his lips. "It definitely was the right choice to stick with you."

You felt your cheeks heat up just a bit, so you looked over to the side to keep him from seeing your face. When you looked to the side, your eyes landed on Tsumugi. She wouldn't tease me whenever we're in the middle of an investigation, you thought. Right...?

Nevertheless, you walked up to her. "Did you see anything weird while we were in the Virtual World?"

The girl nodded. "Yeah... I had a bad feeling ever since I thought I saw Miu from the dining room window."

"You thought you saw Miu...?" Kokichi asked, taking the words right out of your mouth.

"Yeah... I told Shuichi about it... I thought I must've been mistaken, since she should've been by the chapel—"

"You're only saying you were 'mistaken' so you don't have to feel as guilty."

"Huh?"

"If you had been positive it was Miu, then you could've done something sooner... You could've prevented her death, y'know?"

Tsumugi held onto herself with a tight grip. She looked down at the floor with a terrified look on her face, sweat starting to form.

You bit your lip. You didn't want Kokichi to get too out of hand... "We can't say that just yet, Kokichi."

"Oops, sorry...!" He placed his hands behind his head again. "Anyway, I wanted to ask you something. What did you do after you 'thought' you saw Miu?"

"U-Ummm...I thought I was mistaken, but it really bothered me, so... About ten minutes later, I told Shuichi. And while we were walking about it, we heard a loud noise and rushed out into the entrance hall. But then...we heard Kiibo's voice. He sounded really close to us, as if he was just outside the mansion walls."

"Kiiboy's voice, huh?" Kokichi turned to you. "Wasn't he with you at the chapel?"

"Yeah, so I don't know how you all could've heard him... I saw him, and he was there the entire time," you spoke.

"But Tsumugi and I are positive it was his voice," Shuichi said. "We heard Kiibo from the entrance hall, when he should have been at the chapel."

"Whaaat? That's weird, 'cause you shouldn't be able to hear anything between the chapel and the mansion," Kokichi stated with a pout. "Even Miu said that."

"You're right... The sound shouldn't reach through the map point," Tsumugi commented. "So how did we hear Kiibo's voice? How were we able to hear Kiibo at the mansion if he was at the chapel?"

Kokichi put a finger up to his lips. "Maybe...someone's lying," he cooed.

"...By the way, Kokichi," Shuichi spoke up. "Did you hear the loud noise or Kiibo's voice at all?"

"Hm...I'm not sure. I must've not noticed 'cause I was too busy searching."

Out of nowhere, Kaito turned around and interjected, "You're lying to his face!"

"Kaito!" the detective exclaimed out of surprise.

"Kaito, you keep interrupting me when I talk. Do you like me or something?"

"Who would like you, dumba**!?" the taller male barked. "I was interested in Shuichi's conversation! You heard Kiibo's voice when it should've been impossible. can you tell me more about that?"

"Well, what I said before was pretty much everything," Tsumugi said while frowning a bit. "After that, we headed back to the chapel to see what happened..."

"We saw Gonta as we left the mansion, and the three of us went to the river together. That's when we met up with Kokichi," Shuichi finished for her.

"And then we used the signboard that I found as a bridge..." Kokichi added. "What about it though? Did you notice anything?"

"..."

"I see you're working hard. It looks like you're starting to take this game seriously, Kaito."

"Shut up!"

>>Tsumugi's Account
>>Loud Noise

You sighed at the dispute, but then noticed that Shuichi was now walking over towards Maki so you followed after him. You walked over in time to hear Maki say, "But, I did find the text file regarding this program. It has info about the program's basic features, but other than that, there's not much."

"Ooh, so what did it say?" Kokichi asked.

"..." The girl looked off to the side, ignoring him.

"...If you don't wanna tell me, at least tell it to Shuichi or (Y/N)."

"..." She looked back over to you and Shuichi. "According to this text file, the killing game simulator used a certain program as the base. It's called the Neo World Program. In this killing game simulator, objects can't break, your body's five senses are connected to your avatar, and your avatar cannot be harmed. But any damage inflicted on your avatar will be transferred to your body in the real world. If your avatar receives fatal damage, then your real body will die from shock."

"Ooohh, this is the first time we're hearing about this," Kokichi said excitedly. "If someone receives a fatal injury in the Virtual World, then they'd die in the real world... Well, your five senses are connected, so it makes sense you'd feel the same amount of pain. So, it wouldn't be too surprising if you died from the fatal injury."

"Why wouldn't Miu tell us something so important?" you inquired. Maybe it was done on purpose...for what reason, though?

"Well, that's all it says about the Virtual World's basic features," Maki announced. "The rest of the Virtual World is the same as the real world, including the laws of physics. Warps and special transportation, like mounts, don't exist."

"So you can only move around using your avatar," Kokichi noted. He then looked down at his hand with a bored expression. "She should've added warps and mounts to the Virtual World."

"That's all it says in this text file."

>>Killing Game Simulator

"But is the info in the text file correct?" Kokichi wondered, tilting his head. "I'm not doubting you or anything, Maki. But I'm just saying that file could've been rewritten. It's possible someone rewrote the original info with false info, y'know?"

"But to determine that, you would need extensive knowledge of computers—"

"This looks like a job for...me!" a small voice suddenly called out. You looked down to see Monotaro looking up at you all.

"...Don't get in our way," Maki said while biting her nail.

"I won't get in the way! In face, I want you to let me help with the investigation! C'mon, please! Won't you let me help with the investigation? Ever since I forgot I'm bad with computers, I'm good with computers now!"

"That...isn't how it works..." you mumbled.

"Y-You can't, Monotaro..." Monophanie spoke up. "We're not allowed to help the participants. As mascots, we gotta stick to that rule."

"I don't give a fart about the rules! I wanna help everyone! I wanna avenge my dead mommy!"

You had to admit. The intention was actually quite nice, and the entire situation got cute quickly.

"N-No, Monotaro... You've forgotten again... You've forgotten that she's not our mother... And...you're forgotten about the important person you need to protect—"

"Shut up, you pig!" Monotaro snapped. "I'm busy avenging Mommy's death!" Upset with this, Monophanie left. "Alrighty then, let's do this!" the red bear said once she was gone. "I'll do my best for Mommy's sake!"

Tears started pouring out of Kokichi's eyes. "He's doing his best for his dead mommy! I-I'm so touched... WAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!"

"...Alright. I'll leave it to you, then. I suppose I have no choice," Shuichi spoke.

A determined look crossed the bear's face. "Alriiiight! I'll start analyzing the computer right away!" He began to attack the computer. "GYAHHHHHH! This dinky little computer is no match for my hands!"

"Gah! His hands are going at such an intense speed that the friction is creating fire!" Kokichi exclaimed.

Monotaro kept going for a second before backing away a bit. "I've already analyzed a few things!"

"That quick...?" you wondered.

"The text file is consistent with the original program. It doesn't look like it was altered. Also...I found this, too."

You looked at the screen. "Ah... It looks like this is the information of when everyone logged in and out."

"There's no sign that this was altered, either!" the bear stated. "It's definitely accurate information!"

"Could you show it to me?" Shuichi asked. You stepped out of the way so that he could see the screen.

"Aside from Miu, everyone has logged in and out once..." Maki noted.

"Then it would appear that no one secretly logged out and then logged back in," the detective spoke.

You looked back at the screen once more. Kaito was the first one to log out and you were the last one to log out. If Kaito really innocent then we may have some trouble proving that.

>>Login/Logout Record

"Also," Monotaro piped up, "...there's something else I noticed while I was analyzing the program. It looks like some parts of the program were rewritten."

"Obviously, Miu was the only person capable of doing that," Kokichi chimed in. "So, which files did she rewrite and what did she change?"

"I'll analyze that, of course... But it's gonna take a little time."

"Well, as long as it's done by the class trial. Then we will all be able to avenge Miu."

"Alriiiight! Then I'll keep on analyzing the crap outta this program!"

"Ah-haha, you're so reliable!" His eyes sparkled.

"...Yeah, way more than you," Maki said with a flat tone.

You secretly glared at her before turning away, sighing.

"To pass the time," Kokichi spoke up to the group, "why don't we ask someone about what happened at the chapel? Hm... Now which one of us was one of the people to stay at the chapel?" Eyes turned to you. "Oh! Looks like you're the lucky winner. Come on, come on. Spill the beans!"

You shifted a bit in your spot, uncomfortable with the feeling of everyone's expectant eyes on you.

"You saw Miu's motionless avatar with Himiko, Kiibo, and Maki, right? Just tell us some more about what you saw at the chapel," Shuichi told you softly.

You sighed. "Well, we were all looking for the secret of the outside world at the chapel," you started.

"This includes Miu, right?" Kokichi asked, tilting his head to the side.

You shook your head at him and continued, "Actually, no... Miu volunteered to look around outside of the chapel. She wasn't with us. We searched for a while but we couldn't find anything. Then, out of nowhere, there was this really loud sound outside. We figured that something must have hit the side of the chapel really hard because we even felt the impact from inside. That's when we rushed outside and found Miu's avatar to the side of the chapel."

"That's when you went to log out, to check Miu's real body, correct?" Shuichi inquired.

"Yeah...but we couldn't cross the river since the bridge wasn't there. That's when you all showed up."

"I see. Thank you." The detective smiled at you.

"That testimony sounded really important, especially about how you all couldn't cross the river," Kokichi chirped. "If they weren't able to cross, then no one could've gone between the mansion and the chapel, right? Then this helps us narrow down the people who could've come into contact with Miu."

Your eyes lowered. "I-...Yeah, I guess so."

Imagine if you were able to stop Miu's murder...

"Don't worry," the supreme leader whispered into your ear, "we're all suspects. Even the person whom you least expect to murder someone could be the culprit in this case..."

...You didn't like how ominous he sounded. It really didn't help your anxiety.

>>Events At The Chapel

"So, are we done investigating the crime scene? Do you all know who the culprit is yet?" Kokichi questioned.

"Ah, no..." Shuichi responded. "This might not actually be the crime scene."

"...Right! Injuries in the Virtual World could be fatal in the real world, so..." you trailed off. The two boys seemed to get the idea.

"...The Virtual World. We should go there again," Kokichi told you all.

"If that's the case, then I'm coming too!" Kaito suddenly announced.

"Oh great, he's coming... You must really like me, huh?"

The taller male just rubbed the back of his head, slightly exasperated. "Tch, say whatever you want. I don't have time to waste on you! If we go back to the Virtual World, we might find some new clues. With those, I might be able to clear my name!"

"...May I join you as well?" Kiibo asked. "I also think we should investigate the Virtual World again."

"Why don't we all go!?"

"Oh! So I get to be that avatar again!?" Himiko exclaimed.

"Huh? Did you actually like the avatar after all?" Tsumugi inquired with her head tilted.

"I'm going to stay here," Maki declared. "He's still in the middle of analyzing the program."

"Gonta...search this place some more. This no time to be sleeping."

"But we aren't..." You began to grow more confused about how Gonta always referred to the Virtual World as sleeping.

"Then, I'll stay here too." Kokichi had a mischievous look on his face as he placed a finger up to his lips.

"Why?" you asked him.

"Hm, surprised? Aw, is my beloved (Y/N) gonna be lonely without their partner?" The boy just chuckled at the lost look on your face. "Sorry, but I'm busy too, y'know? I have to watch Maki, in case she tries to do anything deceitful."

"...Deceitful?" Maki repeated quietly.

"Well, you and Kaito are pretty close, so you might do something deceitful for him, right?" The girl stayed silent and just glared at him. "...Good thing Gonta's here with me. Your glare is too scary to handle alone! Gonta would risk his life to protect me from a murderer."

You started to feel a bit sick at your stomach...

"...Huh?" The gentle giant had a confused look on his face.

"Hey!" Kaito barked. "If you keep saying messed up crap like that, I'm gonna kick your a** into orbit!"

"Just ignore the little brat and hurry to the Virtual World," Maki ordered.

"Kaito...let's just focus on solving the case for now," Shuichi told him.

"Tch...fine."

Kokichi smirked. "Thank god... I don't like violence. The Ultimate Supreme Leader would rather sneak around! So anywaaay...I'll leave the Virtual World to you two." He looked at both you and Shuichi.

You gulped down your nervousness and sat down in your chair, preparing to enter the Virtual World once more...
***

Kokichi sighed quietly to himself. I wonder how long everyone will take... He then looked down at (Y/N). Would they end up hating him? Did he want that or not...? It was too early to answer either question. Still, he let his hand fall down to the other's hand, which was resting on the arm of their chair. He held it softly, until—

"Kokichi, what are you up to...?" Maki was glaring at him.

"I'm just messing with everyone while they're so vulnerable!" the boy responded. He snapped his hand back up and ruffled his beloved's hair a bit in a playful manner. Not too much that they'd be upset with him once they woke up...hopefully they wouldn't be upset.
