Aarna's POV:-

Life has been going so well these days. Despite having some silly fights, Dhruv and I somewhat started living like a normal couple. Everything is the same except for a few changes. He started opening up about his feelings in front of me and he never even tried to hide them in front of anyone.

But the thing is after that 'leaving- me-alone-at-the-mall's fiasco, he has somewhat become conscious about every little thing like he doesn't want to hurt me unintentionally too.

Though I appreciate his efforts, I want him to be carefree around me, just like the starting days of our marriage because I am not a mean person to hold a grudge against him for every little thing.

"Oh. Then who was the one who had put too much sugar in his cake just because he denied bringing you the ice-cream on his way home, knowing very well that you were having flu that day?" My conscience chided me.

Well. That's ice cream for your information. So no matter what the circumstances are, no one is allowed to deny my wish of having it. Hmph.

" Aarna."

I closed my eyes in irritation when I heard my name being called out by the most annoying person. I stopped sipping my cold coffee and prepared myself to leave from there, ignoring him completely.

"Aarna, stop." He came after me and about to grab my hand which I dodged immediately.

"What's the matter?" I asked him by keeping a straight face.

"How about having a coffee with me at least today?" Here he goes again.

"Can't you understand the human language? I am already married for God's sake and I am very much in love with my husband. Stop wasting your time on me." I said while controlling the urge to smash my bag on his face.

It's been a week since I started working in our hospital and everything is good except for this annoying person in front of me. From the day, I joined here, I made it clear to him in every instance that I am already married. Why can't he take my 'No' as a 'No'? Though he knew the truth, he never stopped hitting on me and at some point, it started making me uncomfortable and I did everything to avoid him but working in the same department, it's highly impossible,

"It doesn't matter. I am just asking you to come with me for a cup of coffee." He asked me with a smile which infuriated me further.

"Why? On what basis should I have to come with you? Are you my friend? My brother? You are just a known stranger. That's it. We aren't familiar with each other. So stop coming after me otherwise I have to complain to the management about you." I said while taking my phone out to message Yuktha Akka to know whether she is free or not.

"What will you complain about me? Asking my co-worker to come for a coffee is not a crime..right?" God!! I just want to open his head and see whether he has an organ called Brain there.

"Yes. It is not but not taking their Denial as 'No', for sure is."

"Uff. Okay. I won't bring that topic anymore but can you at least give me your mobile number?"

"Are you crazy? I don't even want to share a coffee with you then how do you think that I will give you my number?" Saying this, I stomped on my way angrily.

"Okay. Don't give it to me but I have my ways to get your number." He said it in a creepy tone, making me halt on my way.

He seriously has some manufacturing defects but waits.. What if he gets his hands on my number? He is really not giving me any good vibes and I dare not to think about the aftermath. So I have to get rid of him soon.

"Wait, I will give it to you." Saying this, I recited him the number which he saved on his mobile phone with a victorious smile.

"If I won't respond when you contacted me through that number, try this one l," I said another phone number to him with a sweet smile before turning on my feet.

After that, I went to Yuktha Akka's cabin and saw that it was empty. So I asked her assistant about her and came to know that she was in the middle of the surgery, which was going to complete soon.

So I decided to wait for her in her cabin as I don't have any appointments lined up. Not knowing what to do, I started looking around her desk and some small bottles with the name Vitamin supplements caught my attention.

I sighed, thinking about her health consciousness. She always has these bottles stock up in her room back there in our apartment too. I picked up the bottle and pour some pills on my palm to have some. I grabbed some water and about to put them in my mouth but they were thrown onto the floor when someone knocked my hand with great force.

I looked up to see the Angry Yuktha Akka with a worry evident in her eyes as I rubbed the back of my palm which was reddened by her sudden hit.

"Are you crazy Aarna?" Shouting at me, she closed that bottle and placed it in the drawer of her desk, and glared at me.

"Who asked you to take them?"

"Woah. Don't be so petty. They are just some pills."

"So what. I don't like to share them with anyone." She said, returning to her normal self.

"We shared the same bed and food. So what's so big deal in sharing some supplements? I got it. Now I belong to another family and you decided to overlook my existence..right?" I huffed. She shook her head and settled herself in her seat.

"It's not like that, Aaru. You are a doctor and you, more than anyone knows how dangerous it is to take every random pill."

"But it is not any random one..right. They are just some supplements and they belong to you."

"Still, your constitution is different than mine and they are the pills meant for my constitution. So don't randomly take the pills that you saw in my room. Understand?" She asked me in a stern tone without looking at me, to which I agreed unwillingly.

"Pedhamma said that she met you last week and from then on she started acting so mysterious. What's the matter with her? Don't tell me she is planning to make you her son's prospective bride?" I asked her with a teasing smile, trying to divert the topic but hearing my words, the smile on her face got disappeared and she looked at me with the blank face

"Aarna. Stop saying these words. You know it is highly impossible between your brother and me. I am aware of your plans of playing a matchmaker between us. So let me make it clear to you. Put a halt to those thoughts because never gonna happen anything between us." She said, standing up from her chair and left the room.

"Whatever!! It's not a bad thing to ship someone..right?" I thought while sticking my tongue out at her retreating figure.

Leaning onto my seat, I grabbed my phone to give a call to my Handsome dude as he made some dinner plans today and informed me about the same this morning while dropping me at the hospital.

"Hello." Hearing the voice, I checked the number whether I called the right person or not. Yes, I did call Dhruv's number only but it was not Dhruv's voice.

"Who is it?" I asked the other person in a guarded tone while straightening my back.

"First, you tell me. Who are you?" That person retorted back. This one surely wanted to pick a fight with me. I see.

"Why should I tell you? Didn't you see the caller ID? Moreover, why did you even attend the call from the phone that's not yours?" I asked him and smiled in triumph.

"Tsk. I did see the name and I guess Anna truly knows your nature. So he saved the contact with the apt name." I heard him snickering from the other end, making me frown in confusion.

"What!! With what name did he save my contact? And who is your Anna?"

"Why should I tell you?"

"Hey! Are you underestimating me? I can fire you with just the snap of my fingers."

"You surely can! But in your dreams, because even Anna can't fire me on his own. So tell me like a good girl about who you are."

Argh. This guy is getting on my nerves.

"You dumbo. I am the wife of the dumbo on whose behalf you have attended the call. So, pray, tell me, who you are." I gritted my teeth while answering.

"Oh, my Vadhina(sis-in-law)!! Is that you? I am so sorry. Why the hell did he save your name as Rakshasi in the first place? Oh. You are his wife and every husband is deemed to be right in saving his wife's name with that word though but still, he should have given me some heads up when he asked me to attend the calls on his behalf. I am sorry. I should have guessed-" I cut him off in the middle impatiently.

"Did he really save my name like that? How cute!!! " I gushed with a smile playing on my lips.

"Yeah. You should be. He is being mean- what! Are you not angry at him?"

"I am not. First, tell me. Who are you? And why that idiot is not the one to attend my call?" I asked him but I could guess that he is the closest person to Dhruv.

"My bad!! I am Ravi, the personal secretary of the CEO Dhruv and dearest brother of Dhruv Anna. About him not attending your call, he seemed to be in hurry to leave the office but suddenly Arjun Anna barged into his office with his brother-in-law and they three seemed to be discussing an important matter." He explained like a good boy and started thinking about why Adi Anna visited Dhruv.

"Why did Adi Anna visit him?"

"Who knows!! Dhruv Anna kicked me out without even giving me a chance to eavesdrop." He replied in a whining tone.

"Okay! I am hanging up."

"Wait-"

Without waiting for him to complete the sentence, I ended the call and sent a message to Adi Anna.

[Anna, if I, by any chance,
missed the dinner date
with my husband because
of your stupid business talks,
believe me, I will have to put
my magical tongue into work.
Hmph. Mind you!!!

Dhruv's POV:

I planned to go on a dinner date with Aarna but Arjun and his brother-in-law poured the water on my plans. Arjun proposed an idea of collaborating with Adi's company for the upcoming fashion show. Since it was a win-win situation for either of us, I didn't have anything to oppose it. So we three busied ourselves with the discussion of the further proposal and at last, it ended with signing the contract.

We three released an exhausted sigh as we noticed the time. It was nearly getting 8'O clock in the night.

"That Rakshasi will kill me for sure," Thinking about this, I immediately sprang up from my seat and hurriedly collected my things before making a run to the door of my office room.

I could hear them chuckling, seeing my actions. I rolled my eyes and went to the elevator before grabbing my phone from Ravi's Desk. They both joined me while I was waiting for the elevator.

I unlocked my phone and noticed that there was already a call from her but it was already attended. Maybe Ravi attended it.

I pocketed my phone and walked into the elevator once it reached our floor. They both stood at either side of me as Adi suddenly chuckled, seeing something on his phone.

Noticing me looking at him, he shoved his phone onto my face. Holding it with my hands, a smile tugged off at the end of my lips after reading the content of the message that he was reading earlier.

"This little thug!!!" I muttered in my heart with a smile.

Once we reached the parking area, I bid goodbye to them and hopped onto my car, before started driving home.

As I reached my home and was about to ascend the steps to reach my room, I received a message from an unknown number  which made me frown in confusion after reading the content.

[Hello, beautiful!!]

[I forgot to compliment you today. You are looking too hot in that red color outfit. I just couldn't keep my eyes off you.]

I looked down to see the color of my outfit, just to make sure that I wasn't wearing red. I shook my head and entered the room, deciding to block that number. Immediately I received another text message.

[Next time, why don't you try wearing black color? I am sure you will look too sexy in black.]

"Who the hell is this person??" But the next message made me want to drag that person out of the phone and shower him with my fists as I understood to whom these messages were addressed.

[I know, whenever I ask you out in the hospital, you always deny going out with me, saying that you are married. So I am asking you now. I will book a restaurant tomorrow. So that we both can spend some alone time with each other and I will make sure that your husband doesn't know about it. What say, darling!!]

I tightened my fist around the phone and marched towards her, who was lying lazily on the couch while munching on to something, dangling her leg in the air.

"What's this, Aarna? From how long?" I asked her angrily once I made her stand up in front of me.

"What are talking about dude?" She asked me in a whining tone while adjusting her loose t-shirt strap over her shoulder.

"This," I showed her the messages as she burst out laughing at my face after reading them.

"Stop laughing, idiot," I shouted.

"Then stop showing your anger on me. Look! I was actually pretty awesome, you know. When that creep asked me for my number, I gave him yours' and Indra Anna's number. So you should appreciate me for being so smart, instead of shouting at me." She said in a duh tone.

I knew and I was glad that she decided to be smart, at least for once, in her life but I was equally angry at her for not telling me anything about that guy till now. Only God knows how much that guy must have irritated her at her work in this whole week.

"Why didn't you tell me about this matter earlier itself? Idiot, a whole big idiot you are!" I huffed and threw that phone onto the bed.

"Oiiii, I am not an idiot. Why are you even scolding me instead of cajoling me for being late for our dinner date? Moreover, I can assure you that I never gave him any wrong signals. In fact, I cleared it to him that I was married in every given instance. Is it my fault if someone can't take a 'No' as 'No'?" She pouted and looked away like a wronged child.

I sighed and pulled her into my arms.

"Aaru, I never once doubted you but the reason I was ang-"

"Was? So you are not angry at me now..right? Looking at my pretty and cute face, I knew it's so hard to stay angry." She said in a gloating tone, making me sigh again as my lips twitched at her bragging.

"Let me finish the sentence, idiot. I was angry-

" because I didn't tell you about the guy earlier itself..right? I knew it but I didn't tell you because he is already on the top of Yuktha Akka and Daksha Akka's hit list. They both already decided to dismiss him from the hospital." She said while waving her hands off.

I shook my head, not knowing what to say to this fool in front of me. Removing my hold on her, I went to the bed and sent a reply to that guy discreetly as Aarna rushed to my side as if she had remembered something so suddenly.

"Hey! Are we still going for dinner? Forget it. You are looking so tired. So let's not go today. Let's cuddle together and watch a good romantic movie..okay?" She asked me in an excited tone.

"Alright. Let's cuddle together." I pulled her into my embrace with a jerk as she buried her face into my chest shyly after nodding like a shy baby, earning a chuckle from me.
