Dove and Gull get along so well because they both have girls' names that are bird based, and both of them are Scandinavian. Gull is also always cheerful whereas Dove isn't. Gull is very social and Dove isn't. So, even when Dove keeps trying to push him away, he either doesn't notice or doesn't care and is his friend anyways. The two of them become best friends and often hang out. He's a good influence on Dove, too, and if it weren't for his friendship, Dove wouldn't have ever changed for the better.
