Omkara Singh Oberoi finally gets engaged

Omkara Singh Oberoi, famous for his love songs especially Banjaara and Tum Hi Ho, finally got engaged to his girlfriend of two years Gauri Kumari Sharma, who is an interior designer this Saturday. Omkara has managed to keep his relationship of two years a secret and at his recent concert, the young long-haired dream boy went down on his knees to propose to Gauri. Though many female fans are heartbroken as their dream boy is taken and engaged, we at Gossip! are happy for the couple.

When Omkara proposed, he posted a picture of Instagram of the two on the stage with Omkara on his knees showing the ring with a surprised Gauri and then another picture of the two hugging onstage, all smiles and he captioned it with 'all the feels❤️'.

Omkara Singh Oberoi and Gauri Kumari Sharma got engaged at Gauri's gorgeous apartment and the engagement was attended by close friends and family. The female fans drooled over Omkara who was dressed in a midnight blue sherwani adorned with hand embroidered thread work and allowed his hair opened. But everyone's eyes weren't only on Om. Their eyes were also on Gauri who was looking like a princess in an alluring blue lehenga in exquisite silk and enhanced with the timeless beauty of hand embroidered dori made by the one and only Anita Dongre. The two looked in love as they kept their rings on one another, all smiles. Omkara posted their engagement pictures on Instagram with the caption 'I love her and it is the beginning of everything' whilst Gauri used the caption 'The easier yes I have ever said'.

We wish the best for Omkara and Gauri as they soon embrace the marriage life.

Om and Gauri were waiting on the sofa that the interview place had provided and within seconds, the interviewer came. 

Interviewer: hey guys.

Om and Gauri: hi.

interviewer: so the cameraman is going to start the camera then we will begin the interview.

Om and Gauri smiled as Om grabbed Gauri's tiny hand, caressing it gently. The camera started and the interviewer started to speak: hello everyone, this is Prisha Kumar and I am here with Omkara Singh Oberoi, every girl's dream guy, and Gauri Kumari Sharma, the girl that everyone wants to be right now. As we all know, everyone is obsessing over the magical proposal and engagement. So Omkara and Gauri, welcome.

Om: thank you for having us here.

Prisha: of course. So the reason why we have you two here today because everyone has been wondering on you two met in the first place. Omkara has been so private about it and from what we have seen from past pictures, you two were together with friends so we all thought that Gauri was Om's friend. The fans would love to know your love story and if all of Omkara's songs are about Gauri.

Gauri: we met when I was 19 at a bookshop. He was a little cold to me at the time and we had an argument over a book so we both didn't like each other at the very first meeting. We thought at the time that the bookshop meeting was the last time we would see each other but I was an intern for Contours The Design Company at the time and the company was talking about sending an intern since Om needed an interior designer so thankfully I got sent to Om's house. 

Om: at the time, I was not in a good place. I was facing writer's block with my songs and I wasn't on good terms with my parents so when Gauri first came over, I was rude but she handled me and my rudeness in a calm composed manner. 

Gauri: that's how we met.

Om: and that's how she became my inspiration. 

Prisha: so if that's how you two met, then how did you two fall in love?

Om: well in the process of Gauri sorting my house out, meetings over what I wanted and just random conversations, our feelings grew for one another. Many meetings later, we realised that we were in love.

Prisha: how cute! So Gauri...

Om smiled as Prisha and Gauri spoke but deep inside he knew how pathetic of a storyteller he was and he was pretty sure that Gauri was thinking the exact same thing.

They both knew how Gauri managed to turn a cold-hearted Om into a lovesick puppy. It only took her a year to make Om confess. 

An hour later, the interview was over. The newly engaged couple went into Om's black BMW. Om started to drive. The two exchanged smiles as he drove then Om spoke: how did you find that interview?

Gauri: it was fine. I was nervous earlier but having you by my side makes me less anxious.

Om: I know meri jaan. 

Gauri: you are a pathetic storyteller though. Should have let me done all the storytelling.

Om: I am sorry. Not all of us can be talented storytellers. You should write a book on our love story.

Gauri: gladly! 

They both chuckled as he continued to drive but he continued to steal glances from her and at one point, whilst still looking at the road, he swept the small strand of Gauri's hair behind her ear making her smile. Love was about when two individuals can successfully manage to convey that they care for each other through small tiny acts of love and affection. Om may be famous and at her young age, she was earning really well, but for them, love wasn't about expensive dates and lavish gifts. For them, love was a long drive on Marine Drive.

As he drove on Marine Drive, Om made sure that one hand was on the steering wheel as his other hand placed itself on her leg. She placed her hand on his and looked at her lovingly. The moment was so intimate and it felt so perfect as well as sacred that he wished that he could capture and frame it for eternity. 

Gauri: how come we're not going to your place?

She asked since her apartment was shared with her sister Bhavya and often she would stay with Om at his place since Bhavya was keen on spending romantic time with her boyfriend Manav in the shared apartment. 

Om: babe, Armaan and Navya invited us over. 

Gauri: yay!

She loved being with Armaan and Navya especially Navya since the two loved to watch musicals and crush over Chris Hemsworth. 

They reached Armaan's place and Gauri immediately went outside to ring the doorbell. Om chuckled seeing his mini beauty looking so pretty in that white floral maxi dress and the wind playing with her hair. Navya opened the door and squealed hugging Gauri then the two went in as Om followed.

Om: Armaan!

Armaan: hey bro. 

They hugged each other and then the four sat down.

Navya: we saw your interview! 

Gauri: already.

Navya: Prisha is a very quick uploader.

She said since Navya was a professional blogger and makeup artist for celebrities so she had been lucky to get interviewed a few times. 

Navya: and you look so beautiful. You need to tell me where you got the dress from.

Gauri: omg Shein is such an amazing online shopping platform. I love it too much. 

Om and Armaan rolled their eyes as Armaan said: how did your love story actually progress since all I remember is Navya introducing Gauri to us and Om being in love with her?

Gauri: do you want the real dramatic worth-an-Oscar story or Om's two minute story?

Gauri: then I will be the one narrating most of it. 

Om: most of it?

Gauri: talented storytellers get tired. 

Navya: no story is complete without popcorn and drinks. 

She and Gauri went to the kitchen to get the snacks as the two men rolled their eyes again. Once they came back, Gauri said: so like I said, I was 19 at the time and we did meet at the bookshop. 

The scene went to a blur.
