Your Knight is Heere

[70K Special] [Requested] [Knight AU]

It had always been Jeremy's dream to set out on a quest for a princess, well, it was every knights dream to be honest. However, you had to wait until you were at the minimum age of thirteen, and Jeremy having been knighted at age seven had been more than ready for his princess quest once he reached the age of thirteen, however, there was just one small issue.

He was a terrible knight.

Or so his mentor thought.

He was a scrawny little guy struggling with his upper body strength- and lower for the matter. So, he had to train an extra five years to train until he was seen as ready for his quest. Or more so like, they could help him no further from his current state.

By the age of eighteen he now had a...satisfactory amount of upper body strength and could at least mount his steed, and barely swing a sword- but it was something, he had a light, brass one, as the other metals had proven to be too much for his noodle-like arms, but finally he was sent on his quest.

He saluted the line of men who watched him off to go, some of them snickering and containing laughter, though at the time, Jeremy had no idea why, maybe they didn't believe he could truly rescue a princess, he sure as hell would prove them wrong. So, he leapt onto his horse and attempted at rearing it upwards, as most knights did so to show off. However, his horse did nothing but snort and trot forward, leaving a bored crowd and disappointed Jeremy as he emerged into the woods.

"Yeah I'm sure he'll find a real princess where we're sending him." One of the head-councilor knight chuckled.

"This oughta' be good."

Jeremy didn't hear them however, as their jeers were muffled by the growing foliage. He took out his sketched up map to pinpoint his destination. There had been rumors of someone trapped in a tower just east of the Dank Me Mes, also known as the outskirted swamps of Newjer Sey, also known as the realm in which Jeremy lived in, protecting and defending his kingdom at any costs necessary.

Though he wasn't quite sure if he was capable of protecting and defending anything at this point. His entire life had been a practical, and quite literal, joke. It's not like anyone ever believed in him, or at least, if anybody did- they were keeping their trap shut. He had been the first night in the kingdom- no, not just the kingdom- the entire realm who had to wait five years to go on his Princess Quest. That's the longest it's ever taken anybody, previously it had been two years- but Jeremy doubled that and added one. This just made him want to succeed even more.

He'd do so by first, rescuing his princess as quickly as possible, starting off by having his horse gallop at a quick pace, next he would woo her over with his charm, or use the love potion he was given.

Most knights, actually, no knights were ever given love potions- in fact, it was illegal in most realms, two being exceptions and Jeremy thankfully living in one of those two realms, and thankfully, his mom had been a Witch, though actually, not so thankfully, because she was burned at the steak. But the good part was she left her potions behind, being found by Jeremy. You'd think with Withes being burned that potions would be banned too, huh? Apparently there was a whole underground system of witchery that the royalties were behind, basically Witch and Warlock labor for their biddings, healing potions, love potions, etcetera. Though any rogue Witch or Warlock was to be burned at the steak, as his mother had been, and anyone related as well.

Lucky for Jeremy, before his mother's death, a certain memory wiping curse had rained over the town. And the next thing Jeremy knew, nobody knew. Nobody but him that is, and his father, who would more than gladly pretend his wife never existed so he and his son could live.

Once he completed this quest with record time in fetching and wooing his princess, nobody would be able to make fun of him anymore! And he would prove them all wrong!

Jeremy smiled at this thought, truthfully, even though being right and the best was a nice thing. All he honestly wanted was to just be wanted. His dad hardly came out from the cellar, and when he did, he didn't have his lower half of rags on, and barely took notice of Jeremy whatsoever, he was basically a hermit now, and not to mention the entire town believing Jeremy would have done better as the town fool, once he proved his worth, then maybe- ...maybe they'd want him.

Jeremy was roused from his thoughts when he noticed the sudden breaking of light through the thickness of the forest's overhanging branches, which had previously blocked the sun out nearly entirely. Though now he was at the edge of a field, it seemed to roll on for miles, except for a towering, circular, stone building that broke into the sky. Jeremy ordered his horse towards it, galloping at immense, excited speeds until he pulled the reins back for it to stop, having the horse now trot in place with anticipation.

Jeremy couldn't help but let out a shrill squeak of excitement as he dismounted his horse and cupped his hands to his mouth, clearing his voice before calling out, "Fair Maiden! Are thou in need of assistance!" He giggled quietly to himself, he usually didn't speak like that of royalty might, but he want to make a good, professional impression on his mistress.

"Mhm!" Giggled a sweet voice.

Jeremy's voice fluttered, leaping forward to grab at the stones, slowly but surely making his way up the tower, "Such a sweet voice!" He shouted up.

Another sweet hum.

Jeremy began feeling a bit uneasy as he was almost to the top, he then made the mistake of looking behind him once he felt his first hand reach over the final stone. He let out a yelp as he saw how far up he was, and in a matter of seconds, he felt himself begin to unbalance and soon his grip on the ledge ceased to exist. He took in a breath to prepare to scream when he felt a hand grip onto his wrist.

Jeremy shut his eyes tight, not wanting to look at the ground and letting himself be pulled up until he felt solid ground surround him. He trembled, staggering to his feet with the help of his fair lady, "Th-thank you miss-" Jeremy paused as he looked up to meet the face of a guy,"miss-ter!?"

[Sorry guys I was going to make part one and part two as one long chapter but my day hasn't gone quite well so I lost my motivation for fluff TwT I promise I'll write it soon though <3]
