Runaway [Part 2]

[Heere you go, 2 parts in one day~ Double update, double the angst HEHE] [Short part(?)]

Michael honestly had no idea whatsoever as to where he was going. Jeremy couldn't be too far ahead...well, it had started snowing since then and Jeremy could very well be a good length away from him, he might not even be going the correct direction. At this point, Michael didn't care. All he was aware of was that his boy was out there somewhere, probably cold, most likely in pieces with his face nearly frozen from potential tears. Michael sighed, why did Jeremy have to be so ignorant and blunt? "Jeremy!" He yelled out, though not having much hope for a response. He could barely see his own feet, the wind howled mercilessly, let alone him being able to hear a voice over all this discord. Michael pulled the strings of his hoodie so that only his eyes poked out. He silently cursed to himself at the cold weather, the snow now reaching towards his knees. He was nearing downtown, there were lots of hotels and shops here; maybe Jeremy was here...? He shrugged, either way there would be heat. His only navigation was his perception of time, distance, and where the sidewalk probably was. He prayed that he had gone the right way and that he wasn't going to be found in the summer as a thawing Mellsicle.

The snow was beginning to come to a light flurry of snowflakes, causing things to get just a tad bit clearer.

Michael sighed thankfully, feeling a bit more determined as he proceeded through the snow, kicking at it faster and harder now, making it fly up like white dust in Michael's face. He let out a cough and brushed his face off with his cold hoodie-sleeve. Damn Jer, you had a lot of energy huh? Michael thought to himself with huff. Michael squinted, looking up to see a warm glow just a bit ahead of him, he took a deep breath of triumph. He continued shuffling. Come on Jer...Come on...please, please be here...please be tired and stop... Michael let out an audible whimper before noticing that the friction of snow against his shins had stopped, looking down he saw that the show was now neatly shoveled and there was only a fresh layer of ice that coated the sidewalk. The sidewalk! Yes! Michael let out a small squeak of happiness, beginning to sprint, forgetting for a moment that there was ice underneath him, then recalling the fact when he felt himself slip and fall forward. Thankfully, he was able to put his hands forward in time, the mittens slamming down on the slippery, hard ground beneath him. He winced in pain before slowly to his feet and rubbing his hands together. Most likely scraped underneath these things... Michael sighed before continuing. As he neared the strip of shops, the atmosphere became warmer and he was thankful for the light that shown. The small downtown area looked like a line of shops on either side of one road...except the road was just a flat, foot deep path of snow and ice.

Most of the shops were just now opening, as it was about eleven in the morning by this point, Michael had been walking for nearly and hour and a half now. He'd gone through two protein bars and a boxed lunch. Typical of course. Michael had noticed that Jeremy had taken his emergency pack rather than his own, that was probably for the best, Michael had packed more food in that pack than in Jeremy's, and the frail boy would most likely need it. He's a practical stick- no, not even, a twig. An...adorable twig...damn it. Michael shook his head and continued, he looked around, identifying the different shops. At the end of the street was an intersection that led off to the different sit-down food-splendors. Then there was the gym, the mall, the grocery store- Michael stopped his train of thought in an instant. The Mall! Of course! He tried to contain his energy, as to not slip once again, as he shuffled down the street towards the Mall Parking-lot.
