All-Nighter
All-Nighter
[On a serious note though- never do drugs. Ever. Or Jay will be very disappointed in you]
[There's offensive slang used in this that I absolutely disagree with and is not in any way okay to identify somebody.]
Michael started to spam texted Jeremy after he hadn't responded in over an hour.
P-1: Dude.
P-1: Hey.
P-1: Jer
P-1: Jer are you there?
P-1: Jer
P-1: Jer Bear
P-1: jeeerrrreeeeemmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeyy
No response. Michael frowned, trying to think.
P-1: Jerrr I'm dyiiiing
He let this comment sit for a few minutes but there was still no response from Jeremy, not even a three dot dot dot. He let out a groan and fell flat against his bed. He glanced at the clock, it was 11:37 pm. He figured that Jeremy was probably in bed, but also knew that he'd answer his phone if he wanted to. Michael tried to think of a way to get Jeremy to pick up his phone. It took him a moment but he came up with a plan.
P.1: Jer
P.1: Would you please
P.1: Come over HEERE
<[o o o]
P.2: OH MY GOD MICHAEL SERIOUSLY
Michael grinned with delight.
P.1: No but seriously, pwease?
<[o o o]
P.2: Michael your mom said we can't have sleepovers anymore since- well for obvious reasons
P.1: Aw, Jer r u still embarrassed to call me your BOYFRIEND?
P.2: Whatever
P.1: No but we won't sleep- we can pull an all-nighter
P.2: ...You're mom is letting you do this?
P.1: ...Yeah
P.2: No it's not
P.1: ...
P.2: I'll be there in 5.
Michael let out a quiet snicker, turning off his phone and putting it in his pocket. He headed towards the front door and unlocked it for when Jeremy got there, then going to the basement and starting up his consul and pulling the beanbags towards the screen- purposefully scooting them so they touched. He then went back upstairs to grab some chips and make coffee. He opened one of the chip bags and began to eat into it while he waited for the coffee to brew. When it was finally done he grabbed a small green packet from his sock and put a pinch of the product into his own coffee, knowing Jeremy wouldn't want any, and knowing he wouldn't be able to handle it. He put the packet back into his sock. He grabbed the coffee mugs and held the chips with his chin, turning to go back downstairs. He was about to set up the snacks when he heard a small knock at the door. He sighed and lazily set the stuff down, making sure the coffee wouldn't spill, and leaping over the beanbags to get up the stairs and to the door before Jeremy knocked again and woke up his ma. He came to a stop at the entrance and opened the door, "It's open ya' know." Michael ushered him in.
"Yeah, I know, I still wanted to knock though- that way I can say I tried when your mom grounds you." Jeremy followed him downstairs.
"She's not gonna' find out." Michael winked, "As long as you don't make a lot of noise- so don't squeak if you get jump-scared by a zombie- like you usually do."
Jeremy's face turned red with embarrassment as he flopped down onto his beanbag, "I can see you're all set down here." Jeremy chuckled at the coffee and chips.
Michael turned around from where he was getting the game controllers, "Oh- yeah it's just coffee, I'm serious by an ALL nighter." He handed Jeremy a remote. Jeremy grabbed the remote in one hand and coffee in the other.
Michael picked up his coffee, looking longingly at it as he took a sip, he swallowed and then turned to Jeremy, "Wanna' try to chug these down in ten seconds flat?"
Jeremy looked into his coffee, "Ya' know...I'd say it's dangerous...but I'm honestly too tired to care."
The two held the coffee to their lips and began to chug it down. After many gulps they took in a gasp for air. Michael licked his lips, "Huh. Sweeter than I thought it would be..." Michael frowned.
Jeremy was shuttering, "Really? Mine tasted as bitter as black coffee! Did you forget to put creamer in mine- or did you not put it in there on purpose?"
Michael shrugged, "No, the packets come with creamer inside of him so-" Michael froze, dropping his mug onto the beanbag and leaping at Jeremy, "SPIT IT OUT! SPIT IT OUT RIGHT NOW!" Michael squeezed Jeremy's cheeks together.
Jeremy pushed Michael away, "What the heck!?" Michael landed in front of him, "I already swallowed it all...it's fine I don't mind bitter coffee- It'll keep me up now."
"Oh like hell it will." Michael groaned. He got up, "I'm gonna' go get you some actual coffee and maybe...you won't pass out..." Michael sprinted out of the basement.
"Michael? What are you talking about...?" Jeremy's words were already getting slurred.
Michael stopped at the exit of the basement, turning around, "Too late." He headed back towards Jeremy and sat down on the same beanbag with him, "It'll be no use if you're already high." He sighed.
Jeremy laughed, "I'm high? What...?" He smiled at Michael.
Michael put his head in his hands, "Oh god I have to deal with this now don't I..." he groaned.
"Itss...cool...I got ma' self." Jeremy swung his arm over Michael's shoulder, "Itss cool." He laughed.
"Oh my god..." Michael looked up, "This is both adorable and annoying." He got up and positioned his own beanbag behind Jeremy, "Just ease yourself backwards buddy, you need to lay down." He started pushing Jeremy by the shoulders and setting him down on the make-shift beanbag bed.
Jeremy giggled, "M'kay~" He stared up at the ceiling while Michael sat beside him on the edge of the beanbag Jeremy had his head on, laying down beside him. Jeremy scooted closer to Michael and pressed his face into the chest of his hoodie, wrapping his arms behind Michael's neck in a lazy hug.
Michael let out a little chuckle, "Alright sleepy, go to bed..." Michael pecked him on the forehead.
"Have...I ever told you...that I love you...?" Jeremy slurred.
Michael nodded, "All the time." He smiled.
"No...but like...really love you...like...love love..."
"Yeah, I know bud."
"But like...I was crying that's how much."
Michael blinked in confusion, "What do you mean you were crying?"
Jeremy giggled, "After they beat me up silly!"
Michael looked at Jeremy with concern, "Wh-what do you mean?"
"Ya' know...last week...when I took a few...days off...from school..." He pressed his cheek to Michael's.
"You told me you got a cold."
"Pft!" Jeremy laughed, "As if I'd miss school for a stupid cold, you're a real jokester Mikey~"
"Continue."
"With what?" Jeremy blinked.
"You were getting beat up."
"Oh Yeah!" Jeremy gasped, "They called me a fagggg...and then...after school they punched meh till I ran~" Tears started to run down Jeremy's face but he was still smiling, "I cried though, I cried at them not to hurt Michael~ said they could beat me up if they wanna'ted so long as they didn't harm Mike-Mike~"
"Who." Michael demanded.
"Saamme hoodie guysss from lassst winterrr..." He slurred again.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Michael looked directly into Jeremy's wide pupils.
"I didunt want Mikey to find out..." He laughed, "Shh...don't tell him, M'kay?"
Michael felt his heart ace, "Alright, I won't...but in the future...tell him, okay?"
"But...then he'd be mmmad." Jeremy frowned for the first time.
"No...he wouldn't mad- not at you at least."
"If you say so." Jeremy pulled Michael closer to him and burrowed his face into Michael's hoodie, "G'night."
Michael laid his arm over Jeremy's shoulders, "G'night..." He sighed. So much for an all nighter. He noticed for the first time a bruise on Jeremy's arm that had been covered by his long sleeves- though currently he wore his short-sleeve PacMan pajama top so it was visible.
