Makeup

tw: eating disorder, rape, bullying (physical, verbal)

Jeremy Heere was incredible at makeup. Everyday was another look, his eyeliner somehow always perfect along with the little glow he added to his face. It was more enough than to make Michael swoon, wishing he had the courage to approach the quiet other. In class, he spent his time doodling Jeremy's makeup looks, smiling to himself when he added little attributes to make the picture look like Jeremy. The school treated Jeremy horribly. His least favorite class was gym.

"Boys verses girls..." Jeremy sighed as he left the locker room, upset that his makeup would probably sweat off. He walked towards the group of testosterone induced teenagers, the teacher catching him by the shoulder and smirking.

"Heere, don't you belong on the other side?" He earned a loud laugh from the boys, and Jeremy batted an eye and walked to the boys side confidently. No one would pass him the ball, nor get close enough to touch him, it was as if he had some sort of disease. At one point, Michael accidentally bumped into Jeremy.

"Ha! Michael, you're gonna turn into a queer." A tall boy laughed, the group following soon after.

"I like boys and girls, actually." Jeremy hissed, running off the court.

"I was queer before him." Michael growled quietly, pushing past the group and returning to the game. He hated how the school treated Jeremy, but he never had enough confidence to stand up for him. It hurt him when he saw Jeremy get teased, but the other seemed so strong and it never bothered him.

The next day, a clicking was heard coming down the hallway. Michael turned around to see Jeremy, in a stunning makeup look and a pair of six inch heels. He caught himself staring when Jeremy winked at him, blushing quickly and spinning around on his heel and running quickly to class. It wasn't long before the news about Jeremy spread through the whole school. At lunch, Michael saw a group of girls set on trying to trip him, but Jeremy persisted and walked flawlessly.

"Please, I can walk in heels way higher in this and much better than you could." Jeremy said as he tried to ignore them, sitting down at an empty table in the corner. He didn't eat, instead taking a long sip of water. Michael frowned, walking over sheepishly and sitting across from Jeremy taking a bite of sushi.

"I wish I could eat that stuff. I can't gain to much or I won't be able to wear these." He referred to his heels, laughing weakly. Michael's face went white, looking to Jeremy's shirt quickly and seeing how big it looked on him. His arms were incredibly skinny, and he gulped nervously.

"Hey, eating is important. More important than those heels, I know a company that makes heels for drag queens! D-Do you want the brand?" He panicked as he pulled out his phone, looking up the familiar company he had seen on RuPaul's Drag Race.

"It's okay. I do it for other reasons, to. So my Dad thinks I'm too skinny to play any sports and... I like being skinny. I'm Jeremy, but I think everyone knows that." He smiled, reaching out his almost frail hand to Michael. Michael shook it, trying his best to muster up a smile.

"I'm Michael. I-I really like your makeup... How d-do you get your eyeliner so p-perfect?"

"Practice. I could do yours sometime! Here... Can I get your number?" He was more than excited that someone seemed to actually care and he looked in his bag to grab his phone. Michael nodded quickly, putting in his number. Jeremy leaned across the table, his shirt falling a little.

"No one put you up to this?" He whispered, looking to see the groups of people already looking.

"No one. I just thought you were really cool a-and... You're really brave, okay? I wish I could do that." He rambled out, looking back at Jeremy almost passionately. For a second, he swore he could see Jeremy blush.

"T-Thank you... Now you should go, I don't want them coming after you because of me."

"I don't care. I like you. L-Like a friend?" He added the last part quickly, watching Jeremy giggle a little. The other leaned over, kissing his cheek quickly before getting up.

"I'll see you later, cutie." He smiled, his hips swaying a little as he exited the cafeteria. Michael nearly groaned, holding his head in his hands as the bell rang again.

Soon enough, the day was over. Michael took out his phone, checking for a text from Jeremy and frowning as he didn't see anything. He knew he was stupid for trying, and even more stupid for assuming Jeremy didn't have better things to be doing. He put his hood over his head as he left the school building, keeping his head low as he took the back exit. The sounds of someone screaming in pain caused him to turn down the darker alley next to the school, seeing a taller boy getting attacked by even taller boys. He walked down the pavement quietly, tugging his hood over his head more.

"You said you like boys and girls, right? Hold him down." Jeremy's voice was heard screaming through some sort of fabric, and Michael's heart broke seeing tears bringing his makeup down to stain his cheeks. A girl was seen, pulling down Jeremy's pants and boxers swiftly. She licked down to right above his length, and Jeremy was struggling against the people holding him down.

"Stop struggling, slut. You like this." A deep voice cooed, next seen stroking his hair and then pulling it roughly to earn a laugh from the group. Michael had rolled up his sleeves, and hearing Jeremy gasp in pain was enough for him to intervene.

"H-Hey, hey! Get off of him." His yell was weak, but he tried his best to look menacing. The group was silent for a moment, then breaking out into a laugh.

"What was that? You're the queer from earlier! Would you rather the honor than her?" The girl had flipped the hair from her eyes, looking to the seeming leader almost angry.

"You said I was getting paid!" She slapped him, but he just nodded quickly.

"You are, double, if you do what we asked." He bit at her ear, and she smiled, going back to work on Jeremy. Michael fumed and fought his way through the small crowd, managing to get a few faces to the ground as he got close to Jeremy.

"This is sexual assault! I'll tell the police, I swear I will!"

"What if we let you join?" The boy taunted, shoving Michael forward. Jeremy looked weak, breathing heavily as the girl had started to take him in her mouth. Michael kicked her, trying to get her off of him. She was determined for the money, pushing Michael to the ground next to Jeremy.

"He didn't do anything to you! He just-" He was cut short as he was shoved to the ground, trying to yell out but feeling a hand over his mouth. Jeremy's face was red with horror and embarrassment and Michael couldn't bare to look at him. The girl stopped as she sensed Jeremy was about to come, pulling his boxers on and snapping the band.

"Fifty, even." She demanded, and as soon as she got her money she slapped the guy again and walked off.

"You can drop him, boys. Let's get out of here. Mell, if you say anything, you'll get worse than this whore." They threatened, walking away in a group of laughter. Michael was quick to get up and rush to Jeremy, taking the gag out from his mouth and picking him up. Jeremy was in tears, his makeup long gone besides the black streaks on his face. He couldn't speak as he choked on his tears, hugging Michael tightly.

"I-I'm a fucking s-slut! T-They pinned me d-down and s-she... How... F-Fuck!" He slammed his fists on the pavement, waiting for blood to spill from his palms.

"Stop! You're not. They're gonna get arrested and expelled. I'll make sure of it. I'm a witness... Oh my god... A-Are you okay?" Michael broke down as he pulled Jeremy's tight jeans back up, holding the boy tightly. Jeremy just shook his head, crying into Michael's chest.

"I'll never be okay. I-I'm broken, b-beyond repair. Why don't y-you leave? Y-You have to think I'm s-sickening at this point."

"I think you're anything but. I should've tried harder to help... I'm so sorry." His voice cracked, crying into Jeremy's soft hair.

"Y-You did more than a-anyone else would... T-Thank you. Again." He nearly smiled, and he leant up to take Michael's chin in his hand. Jeremy leaned his face to meet Michael's, and Michael connected their lips softly. It was just for a moment, he didn't want to hurt Jeremy or make him uncomfortable.

"We'll get through this together." He whispered, running his hand through Jeremy's hair gently. The other nodded, kissing Michael again as they held each other in the alleyway.
