Aria

Dinner with Deepak was super fun. He's a complete goofball. A very innocent one too. When we came back to the hotel he ordered a huge tub of ice cream for me coz I was feeling sad. He reassured me that everything will be fine. He even sat and watched a romcom with me. What a sweetheart he is. I can see us becoming best friends in the near future.

Ah thinking about best friends, Sagar will be back tomorrow from his trip with scarlett. I haven't spoken to him since he left. Didn't wanna hear weird sounds from the phone that would scar me for life, if you know what I mean. I still had 2 more days in Australia before I go back to Bangalore. Back to the same routine. I miss the hospital so much. But it also means that it's my last two days with shrey. I want us to go back to being normal with each other. But the way he's been acting I don't see it happening any time. With a stomach full of icecream and heart full of sadness I fell asleep.

I woke up in the morning with the sun shining on my face. I must have forgotten to close the curtains. I got up and brushed my teeth. I had no plans for the day. Deepak and the rest of the boys planned on going to a little trek but I didn't have the mood for it. I'm gonna sit in my room, eat chocolates and sulk the whole day. I took out my laptop to choose a movie that suits my mood. I picked five feet apart. It's always a good cry with this movie.

After finishing it, I was a mess of tears and sobs. I ordered chocolate cake. Leave it to chocolate cake to brighten my mood. I saw the clock and it was about 1pm. It's never too early or late for chocolate cake. I sat up again looking for another sad movie when there was a knock on my door. Must be the chocolate cake. Perfect timing. I ran up to the door and opened it and found no one. I turned around and looked around but still found no one.

Before I turned to go back inside something at the doorstep caught my eye. It was a white envelope with a red rose on it. I picked it up looking around to see who left it there but found no one.

I took the letter and went back inside my room and sat on the bed. I opened and found a handwritten note. It said," I know you are Netflix and cuddling with your pillow. But time to get out. Chop chop. Go to the reception and say your name xx".

Who is this person and why does he/ she want to play treasure hunt with me. I'm sad and annoyed already and really not in the mood to get pranked. But curiosity got the best of me. I had to know who this is. So I quickly got dressed, took the envelope and rose with me and rushed down to the reception.

"Hey. Um.. I'm Aria. Did someone leave something here for me?", I asked the receptionist.

"Oh yes. Here you go", he said handing me another envelope, a rose and a car key. I opened the envelope and read it.

"Go outside and look for the the fancy baby I've chosen for you xx".

I looked up at the receptionist and found him smiling.

"Do you know who gave this?", I asked him giving him a confused look.

"Maybe, maybe not".

"Will you tell me if I ask?".

"Absolutely not. I'll lose my job if I do", he said shaking his head.

"Find it out. I'm sure you'll love it", he said giving me a nod.

So that's what I did. I ran again outside the hotel and frantically looked around trying to find the car. That's when a black car caught my eye. It was a mini cooper. I walked up to it and opened it with the key the receptionist gave me. It had another white envelope and a red rose on the driver's seat.

"This one reminded me of you. Small and cute yet classy. I hope you know how to drive. Follow the directions written behind xx".

I turned the note and found an address written on it. It was of a cafe here around the corner. I got in the car,entered the address in the GPS and drove. After about 10 minutes of driving I reached this cute cafe called 'Beans 'n cream'. I walked in and the bell on the door rung. Ah I love these little bells. As soon as I went in the lady at the cashier gave me a warm smile. She walked up to me and looked at all the roses in my hand.

"You must be Aria", she said giving me a hug.

"Yeah that's me, Hello", I said hugging her back.

"I'm Deby. You are a beautiful woman. Here let me take you to your table", she said leading me to a table at the corner of the room.

This was a very beautiful cafe. Very Victorian. Warm colours and the smell of freshly brewed coffee filled my nose. She sat me down and asked me to wait.

I was still wondering who this person is. Was it Deepak or was it Shreyas? No it can't be shreyas. He's probably out there with the boys or on a date seeing how distant he's been with me. Maybe it's Deepak. Maybe he wants me to have a fun day instead of moping around. My train of thought was interrupted by the same lady. She now had a variety of food on the tray.

She placed a cup of caramel cappuccino, a slice of chocolate cake and another white envelope with a red rose in front of me.

"The cake here is our speciality. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did while making it", she smiled and left me to it.

I took a bite of the cake and I swear I had a foodgasm. It was so fucking good. Once I was done with eating half the cake, I opened the envelope.

"I hope you're enjoying the chocolatey goodness. I bet you moaned when you ate it. Next stop to the address behind xx".

I finished the rest of the cake and cappuccino and walked up to Deby.

"The cake was wonder Deby. You guys create magic", I said almost jumping around.

"Aren't you sweet. Thank you honey. The food had already been paid for. Have fun", she said smiling.

"Thank you. Have a nice day", I said leaving. I got into the car and put the address in the GPS and took off again. This time it took me to a spa. Wow. This person really thought this through really one. A full body massage is exactly what I needed. After I got the best massage to ever exist in the world, my masseuse gave me an envelope and Rose again.

"I have my fingers crossed and hope the masseuse didn't give you an organism lol. Anyways head to your room babygirl xx".

Baby girl? Shrey calls me that. Could it be really him that's doing all this. I guess I have to find out. So I rushed back to the hotel. It was already 6 by now. How did the time fly like this? Just how? The same receptionist saw me rush in a have me a grin.

I ran up to my room and opened it. When I went in, I found the most beautiful outfit layed out there on my bed. It was a two piece white lace dress. The top was off shoulder and the skirt was high-waisted with a high slit which stopped mid thigh. There was also a layered golden necklace, a pair of brown flats and a yellow flower. With that an envelope and rose again.

"I'm sorry for going into your room while you were not there. Can't wait to see you in this dress. Go down at 7pm and ask for Brian. Waiting for you xx".

I kept the note down with a wide smile. I can't wait to see who this person is. I took a nice hot water shower and wore the dress. It fit me perfectly. The styled my hair into beachy waves and kept the flower on my ear. I wore the flats and necklace and looked at my self in the mirror. I loved the way I looked. This person knew exactly what would look good on me.

Once I was done, I went down and asked for Brian. A man in a black suit walked up to me and said", Hello Ms. Nair you look lovely,  I am Brian and I'm gonna be your chauffeur for the night".

"Hellow Brian. It's nice to meet you".

He escorted me outside and into a limousine. A fucking limousine. This feels like I'm in a fairy tale. Once I got in, he poured me a glass of champagne.

"Please relax. It's going to take us about half an hour to reach our destination", he said handing me the glass.

I took the glass from him and uttered a thank you. The ride was pleasant. It was such a wonderful evening in Sydney. The weather was just right.

We reached in 30 minutes like Brian said. He opened the door for me and gave me his hand to get out. Once I was out he looked at me said", Keep walking straight and then you'll find your way". I thanked him again and began walking. I felt butterflies in my stomach. Who ever this is, has to be the most romantic person I've ever seen.

As I kept walking I saw a path decorated with rose petals and candles. There were lanterns hanging from the tree and further ahead I could see a table and two chairs. The table also had multiple candles and the place was filled with rose petals. As I reached closer I saw the silhouette of the person who's behind all this. I could only see the back of this person. The butterflies increased and my heart was about to jump out of my chest.

Hearing my footsteps the person turned around. There he was. Standing with that smile I adored so much. My shrey. He gave me a small wave and I chuckled and waved back.

When I reached him, he held my hand and kissed the back of it. Oh how much I missed this.

"Hey there beautiful. Need I say how gorgeous you look".

I looked down and blushed. He looked delicious. He wore white shorts and white half sleeves shirt with all the buttons open. I could see his body and couldn't help but gape at it. He also wore the necklace I gave him.

"Shrey. What is all this?", I said looking around the beautiful set up.

" This is apology for acting like a dick yesterday. I'm so sorry for the way I behaved Ari. I was being an asshole to you. I just freaked out so much after our kiss. I thought you'd tell me it was a mistake".

"I would never tell you that shrey coz it wasn't".

"I know. I'm a fucking idiot. I should have spoken to you about the way I felt instead of acting so cold and distant. I'm sorry", he said rubbing the back of head. He genuinely looked guilty about it.

"Okay I forgive you. But you didn't have to go this extra for an apology shrey", I said chuckling.

"Ofcourse I had to. You're special to me Aria and I need you to know that too".

"Come lets have dinner", he said holding my hand and taking to the table.

The table had all my favourite food. He served me and also poured me a glass of wine.

"Did you like the letters and the places I chose?", He asked curiously.

"I loved it shrey. I honestly didn't think it was you. I'm both surprised and happy", I said grinning at him. This brought a smile to his face too.

"Ah now I'm satisfied. Ready for desert?", He asked.

"Yes please".

After having fresh strawberries covered in chocolate sauce, we finished our dinner. He once again took my hand and intertwined our fingers.

Out of no where music started playing in the background. He looked at me and then snaked his arms around my hip while I locked my hands around his neck. I placed my head on his chest and he placed his chin on my head. We were slowly moving around to the beats of the song.

"I really really like you aria".

"I really like you too shrey", I said. I bet my whole face was red now.

"Ari. Can I ask you something?", He said as he stopped moving and looked me in my eye.

"Yeah sure".

"Was I your first kiss?".

"Yes you were. You were my first kiss shrey. That  is why I froze. I had never kissed any one before and I didn't know what to do. I'm sorry", I said looking down.

"Hey hey it's okay. Don't feel bad about it", he said lifting my head up to meet his eyes. He kissed my forehead.

"Aria I promise to never hurt you again. I'll treat you like the queen you are. Will you be my girlfriend?", He said holding my hand and waiting for my reply.

Oh my Jesus Christ! He asked me to be his girl. Someone hold me before I hyperventilate and die. I looked at him and gave him a wide smile and nodded my head up and down.

"Yes. I'll be your girlfriend shrey".

"Yaaaassss!!", He said as be fist bumped into the air and hugged me tight.

"You've made me the happiest man on the planet Ari. I promise I'll always keep you happy", he mumbled into my neck.

He broke the hug and looked at me with shiny eyes. He looked down at my lips and back to my eyes again.

"Can I kiss you?", He asked pulling me closer.

"You don't have to ask anymore", I said standing on my tip toes and connecting my lips with his.

The kiss was slow and passionate. All our crumpled up feelings were coming out. This Sydney trip has been a crazy one. But I got my shrey back. I couldn't ask for more.

We broke the kiss and he touched my forehead to his, both of us panting for air.

"I love you Aria".
