I can't wait for the day when you realised you fucked up

Avni glanced at Advay for a few seconds, processing what he had just told her.

Advay

"You what?" She let out a gasp followed by a shriek in terror. Her face wrinkled processing the words I just spilled. Shock evident in her countenance the way she is frowning at me.

Advay: I felt he should know. I said meekly, looked away not able to look into her fuming face.

Avni: You fucking kidding me Advay? She snapped harshly dodging of my sad pout, our eyes met.

Advay: I feel bad for him. I whispered downcasting my gaze. She is making me uncomfortable with her cranky avatar. I never thought she can be this scary.

Avni: You two what friends now? I can feel how annoyed she has grown. I can't blame her though it's my fault, I shouldn't have revealed it.

Advay oh c'mon drop it now. I retorted laughing but it came out as a cough. I tried acting cool.

Avni: whatever you did you messed up everything and confused him more did you realise it? She snapped harshly and my adam apple blobbed looking at her accusative gaze waiting for me. My reply.

Advay: Shit. I am sorry Avi. I immediately apologize. Crap she is right I messed up big time.

Avni: Now what would I tell him if he confronts me about my lies ? You are a monster Advay. Everything was going great and you had to ruin it all? You idiot. you have a crush on him or what? Muttering the last sentence her eyes into slit watching me closely.

Advay: Don't tell me you are jealous. I arched a brow. No idea what came over me I did the grave. I know testing her patience in such predicament when she is already so much worked up with my sudden affinity towards Neil which is a total betrayal with her, I agree; is the worse idea, but I couldn't miss the chance teasing her. Do I? She is too adorable when she is mad, and stupid me making her more with my pun. I know this is the self-made disaster , this triangle thing she has put herself into. In my opinion she is definitely at fault a little, she could have confessed to Neil long back that she is the one who sent him those mails when she saw the things getting really out of her hand, she could have talked to him. Despite every odd move she has taken she hadn't any false intentions, one thing led to another and everything went south. Well, this proves we can't deny fate. Sometimes thoughts poke me like I should talk to Tina, then again, it's not my story to tell.

Avni: you will rot in hell. she sent him her deadliest glare before she turned and took big stride ahead leaving amused Advay behind whose back is leaning to his car, arms crossed, smirking at her aggravation.

Avni stopped and walked back to Advay as she was still mad at him.

Avni: Next time, don't tell Neil or anyone anything unless I tell you to. She spoke with the same glare on her face.

Meanwhile, Tina and Neil who were near the mansion noticed Avni standing chatting to Advay or, more likely, arguing.

Tina: Hello, that's Advay, she said. She quickly glanced at Neil before returning her attention to Advay and Avni.

Neil: What's he doing here? He growled and slowed the car.

Tina: Wow, they're already fighting like a couple, she added, shaking her head.

Neil: Don't make assumptions when you don't know Tina. They can just be good friends.

Tina: Neil, don't be foolish. Did you notice how Advay stares at Avni? He has a strong liking for heh. Can't you see? It is very evident.

Neil: Of course, they're in love. Who can deny their feelings for each other? Right, he replied sarcastically.

Avni: Please, I'm telling you honestly. Avni halted when she noticed two cars pull up outside the main gate, surprising her somewhat with the sight of Shweta, Neela, Tina, and Neil stepping out.

Avni gazed at Advay, who had stood up straight as his gaze met hers. Neil clinched his jaw after witnessing that small exchange.

Neela: Bacha, who is he? She enquired with a puzzled expression.

Before Avni could respond Tina spoke.

Tina: His name is Advay Neela ma. And, Advay, this is Neela Ma, Avni's mother, and this is Shweta Aunty Neil's mum.

Advay greeted them as he took their blessings

Neela: So, you're the Advay that my daughter keeps mentioning, she added with a smile.

Neil looked around as if something more interesting was going on, yet from the inside, he was burning.

Advay: I suppose so. He said with a small shy smile as he rubbed the back of his neck.

Tina: Avni. How impolite of you not to allow Advay inside. Or you've already invited him, she teased.

Shweta and Neela kept their smiles on, while Neil glared at Tina, annoyed that she had even said such a thing.

Neil: I suppose Advay is leaving because they are standing outside, he added. Both Avni and Advay gazed at him.

Advay: um yes sorry I'm running late. But next time for sure.

Shweta: Beta, please come around, and I hope to see you at the engagement tomorrow.

Advay: I'll try, he said with a pleasant smile, before saying goodbye to everyone. He gave Avni a look before leaving.

Avni hurried from there, while Neela accompanied Shweta to Khanna Mansion.

Tina was about to walk to Neil when she got a call and excused herself.

The second she got to know what giant of a mistake Advay has performed, not to mention much in elaborate how it caused her stomach twist in worry already imagining of multiple options Neil could now torment her with his intrusive queries. What if he talks to Tina about Advay being Bi?

She knows he hasn't told Tina anything yet; otherwise, she would have flipped the entire mansion upside down. But what if he tells her later on? Is what ran through her head.

Avni: Oh lord even thinking of it turns my hands clammy. That brainless Advay is not understanding the gravity of the situation, one mistake Neil would cross-examine the whole thing. He is too smart to be fooled anymore. It's another story how Tina will kill me, also her giving a second thought to my every action is another level soul shattering thing which is no less than snatching away my mental stability. What excuse even this time I'm supposed to make? What shall I tell her in my defence? why I lied and made up the whole thing? Oh my god what am I supposed to do now? I am so deep into the grave that no one can save me.
That idiot Advay, I so want to wipe that irksome smirk off him forever. He thinks this is funny?
Murmuring like a maniac Avni frantically walked back and forth in her backside garden.

"Avni"

Avni stood still. The person she was avoiding had just called her out.

She took a deep breath, maintained a straight face, and turned around.

Neil tried not to talk to Avni, but when he saw her with Advay, he knew he had to.

Neil: Avni. I need to speak with you, he stated, taking few steps closer to her.

Avni: I do not think there is anything else to say after yesterday. She spoke seriously.

Neil: This is about you and Advay.

Avni held her hands tightly. She knew he was going to ask eventually, and that time has come.

Avni: what about us? I don't think there is anything to say.

Neil: This morning, he told me about being bisexual and seeing a guy named Leo.

Avni: Thank you for informing me, Neil, but I already knew this.

Neil: So, you're cool with this? He was taken aback by her casual behaviour.

Avni: It does not matter, okay. I'm happy.

Neil: Avni. Do you even realise what you're doing?

Avni: Neil. I really don't want to talk about this, okay, she responded, pretending not to be bothered.

Neil tightened his jaw as he saw Avni's unfazed reaction to the whole situation.

He walked over to her, taking long steps and held her.

Neil: I'm asking you something, dammit. Why are you acting so normal? I'm sure you won't be in a relationship with Advay after learning that he likes this person and is bisexual. Your family might be modern, but not this modern.

Avni avoided making eye contact with Neil as she attempted to free her arm from his grips. But with full power, she shoved him away, causing him to stumble a few steps back.

Avni: Neil!
This is between me and Advay, and we'll work something out. Now, keep out of it.

Neil: Work something out? Are you kidding me Avni ? This is not any random thing to solve out and then everything will be alright. This is not a regular problem, can't you see? What happened to you Avni since when you became this rigid? This is all because me, isn't it? You are making things complicated for yourself because of Tina. I know. You think....I...
He couldn't complete his sentence he felt his breath clogged at the thought of Avni is in trouble, she is gaming with her emotions so that Tina doesn't get hurt.

"Don't do that, don't hurt yourself I beg you. I promise I won't bother you anymore" and saying these last words he walked out with a heavy heart, burning eyes leaving a very sensitive Avni behind standing there like a statue. Her chin wobbled at the thought he still cared for her, and here she thought if she hurt him, he would stop.
