~My Book Of Her~

"Hey Raven,"Beast boy asked,pulling down her book.

Raven arched an eyebrow as Beast boy stared at her with his big emerald eyes,sparkling with curiosity.

"Yes Beast boy,is there a reason why you interrupted me?"asked Raven,placing her book mark on her spot.

Beast boy sat next to her on the common room sofa,twiddling his thumbs nervously.He inched closer to her and stared at the book title intensely.

"What's your favorite color?"he asked.

Raven looked bewildered but answered anyway,"Blue....or purple."

Beast boy nodded and looked out in the distance.

"Ok,um.....your past life....it wasn't the best was it?Like,you really didn't have a family did you?"Beast boy asked.

Raven was taken back by his question.Beast boy had never asked a question like that.It took a second or two,but she answered the question,slowly and picking the words carefully.

"Well....I guess you could say that....I didn't have a dad....My mom....well just to get to the point,my childhood wasn't the best,really,I didn't really have anyone to rely on or talk to when I was little...."Raven said.

Beast boy nodded and jumped off the sofa,running quickly to his room.Raven sat there,why would he ask that question?And why was he so nervous when he asked it?Raven shook her head and pushed away the questions.Instead she continued to read,which was hard since many questions kept popping up.After almost an hour,Raven dozed off.When the sound of her book falling off her lap woke her up,she stretched.Glancing at the clock on the wall,she was astonished at what time it was.Almost ten thirty.

Raven sighed and stood up,grabbing the book at her foot.She shuffled to her room,passing Beast boy's on the way.However,she realized his room was opened,just a crack.Curiosity got the best of her as she slowly cracked the door open even more.Raven popped her head in,scanning the room.It was filthy as usual,she spotted a figure sitting in a desk next to the bed.She squinted her eyes and noticed that it was Beast boy.Raven looked around quickly before slowly squishing her body in the small crack.

She slowly stepped to the desk,peering over Beast boy's shoulder.His snores were barely heard as his eyes remained closed.Raven smiled at the sleeping Beast boy who looked quite peaceful.She then realized a book underneath him.Unable to read it,she did make out the word Raven.A weird feeling took over her body.Now super curious,she wanted to know what he wrote about her.Raven grabbed onto the sides of the book and gently pulled.

The book ever so slowly moved out from underneath him.Raven stopped and stayed real quiet to make sure Beast boy was still asleep.When he was,Raven read the title of the mysterious green and purple notebook.

My Book Of Her

She blinked several times,making sure she read it right.Then,after reading the title several times,she continued.

She's my opposite,but I don't care.She's dark and mysterious,which makes me curious about her.

She's like a book.I use to judge her by the cover,but now I want to read her.

We may be different by our personalities,but we are similar when compared to our lives.

We both share the same fears,same problems.We never had a real family,I lost mine,while she never had one.

She may be a demon,but I have the beast.

We both fear we may never be loved.We both lost the only person that would ever love us.

But what she doesn't know is that we have each other.I can help her,she can help me.

I realized this after Terra broke my heart.I remember realizing this when I was troubled one night.I remember walking down the hallway and asking myself if I'll ever be loved again.

Then,she was walking past me.I stopped just to watch her walk by.That was the day that I realized...

That Raven is the one I've been waiting for

-Beast Boy

Raven tried her best to take this all in.This was about her.Beast boy had been troubled and lost,looking for someone to hold him,tell him everything would be alright.Raven's hands shook as items around the tower began to spiral around uncontrollably.She gripped onto the book and took it with her to her room.Raven plopped down on her bed as she read what he wrote over and over again.Raven did indeed have a crush on him,but she thought it was merely puppy love.

So she tried to get over him.Then Terra came and Raven believed that her crush on him was over.However,now that she was gone and Raven read what Beast boy's wrote today.The same feelings came back.She didn't want to love him,but Raven couldn't help but think what he wrote was irresistible.Raven sighed and sat up,skimming through the notebook.Most of these notes were about her and how beautiful she was.About how Raven was what he wanted and needed.She blushed on every page she read.

Raven then reached pages of Terra.About the feeling of being stuck in the middle of two girls he really liked.Later,she read that Beast boy chose Terra and did everything he could to get over his crush on Raven.However,later,she read about Terra breaking his heart and feeling depressed and lonely.Then,the incident with Trigon came along and his feelings for Raven grew stronger.That was the last page she read.Raven looked at her clock and realized she had been reading this book for over two hours.

Raven yawned and took off her cloak,leaving it on the floor.She was about to put the book on the dresser when a piece of paper slipped out of the book.She reached down and picked it up.Unfolding it,she gasped.There on the paper was a beautiful sketch of a raven and another sketch of Raven.Smiling brightly at it,she put it,along with the book,on her dresser.Raven stared at the ceiling as her eyelids slowly dropped.Before falling asleep,three words echoed through her mind.

I love Beast Boy

"Raven!"Yelled Beast boy.

Raven groaned before slipping out of bed.She shuffled to the door and opened it,too tired to get her cloak on the way.

"Yes,why such the rude wake up call?"Raven asked sleepily.

Beast boy sighed,"Sorry Rae,didn't know you were still sleeping."

Raven's eyes shot open when she found out it was Beast boy.A blush rose on her cheeks as she reached for her hood.However....she wasn't wearing her cloak.Her hands flew behind her back as she leaned on the doorway,trying to act normal.

"What did you want?"Raven asked in her monotone.

"I was just wondering if you've seen a notebook around?"he asked nervously.

Raven lightly gasped,remembering how she took the book and kept it on her dresser.The blush grew brighter as she opened her door completely.

"Beast boy....you need to come in..."Raven said.

Beast boy hesitated as he stepped in,sitting on her bed.Raven nervously stepped close to him and went to her dresser.She placed the book behind her back and made her way back to Beast boy.

"You mean this one?"asked Raven.

Beast boy's cheeks beamed brightly as he refused to make eye contact with her.

"I....I read it...."Raven whispered,handing it to him.

Beast boy sighed in frustration,"I'm sorry if you don't feel the same...I just needed someone to comfort me....and there you were...."

Raven smiled gently and sat next to him.She scooted closer to him.

"I thought it was beautiful,"Raven smiled.

Beast boy looked up at her,confused.

"Really?"

Raven chuckled,"I thought it was sweet and adorable."

Beast boy smiled and slowly reached for her hand.Raven,noticing his actions,let him.He grabbed her hand and intertwined her fingers with his.Raven looked deeply into his beautiful emerald eyes.Beast boy moved his left hand to her cheek and brushed it slowly.Cupping her chin,he leaned in....and Raven didn't pull away.Beast boy's lips brushed against hers as hers did the same.A spark rushed through her body as it made it's way back to her lips.

The tingling feeling of his lips on hers made her body spring to life.Raven had never felt anything like this before.And she liked it.Both of their lips moved in sync with each others as Raven moved her hands to his shoulders,pulling him closer to her.Neither of them wanted this moment to end.The feeling got stronger as Beast boy wrapped bus free hand to her waist,pulling her closer to him,not wanting her to drift away.When both slowly pulled back,Raven had already missed his lips on hers.

"Beast boy,"Raven whispered.

"Yes Raven?"Beast boy asked,gripping onto his notebook.

Raven didn't speak,instead,she grabbed a pen off her dresser.She then opened the notebook and wrote three words in cursive.

I Love You

Beast boy read those three words and pulled the pen out of her hand.Tossing it to the side,he pulled her closer to him.He rested his forehead against hers grabbed her left hand,intertwining their fingers.

"I love you...."
