Bet (Vancat)
"Stop being a little bitch."
Tyler laughed at Evan, handing him the glass full of liquid. Evan took it reluctantly, holding it in his hand, away from him, as if it were poison.
Although, one could argue that it was.
"I'm not being a little bitch, Tyler. I'm supposed to be driving us back to Lui's after this."
Tyler huffed, elbowing Evan lightly in the side, making the dark haired man spill a bit of the concoction in his glass.
"What's one little shot gonna do to you?"
Evan rolled his eyes, noticing how tipsy Tyler already was. He had been drinking a few beers prior to this.
But, Evan had kept to soda, not willing to drink himself to blacking out. Tyler, on the other hand, seemed to want Evan to go over the edge.
"One little shot that will turn into several little shots."
Evan set the glass down on the bar table and turned to face the many people dancing in the club before him.
He watched as a girl slipped and fell, probably drunk as all hell. He could only imagine how much she'd had tonight.
"Did you see that girl just fall on her ass? Damn, she's hammered." He was practically yelling in Evan's ear, and the older man didn't like it one bit. He spoke back to the intoxicated male behind him, turning his head to face him.
"Probably as much as you."
Tyler snorted, leaning back in his chair, setting his own empty glass down in front of him. He eyed Evan, smiling as he spoke.
"I can still walk and talk, asshat."
Evan raised a brow at this, his mind conjuring up a little dare of sorts. He chewed on his lip for a moment, and he could see Tyler staring from the corner of his eyes.
"Oh yeah?"
Tyler nodded, seemingly sure of himself, his own mind working up a bet that he was sure he would win.
Evan's voice interrupted his drunken thoughts, and Tyler looked up.
"Why don't you go and show me, then?"
Evan nodded towards the dance floor, smiling that charming smile of his.
Tyler muttered something under his breath, and Evan's ears perked up at this.
"What was that?"
"I said fine. But if I can prove to you I'm sober enough to make good conversation and walk up there without falling, then you have to get completely smashed. If not, I'll stop drinking for the rest of the night."
Evan paled for a moment.
Tyler was a very determined person, and he rarely lost the bets he made. But then again, he wasn't completely in his right mind. So, maybe this could work to his advantage.
"Ok, deal."
Tyler laughed, removing himself from the table and brushing off his clothes. He cleared his throat and started walking forward, completely unfazed.
Evan swallowed harshly, watching him closely, trying to see if he could just make the slightest slip.
But he didn't.
He made his way over to some strangers by the dance floor and began making conversation, laughing with the two girls in front of him.
The girls seemed amused, and Evan could tell the conversation was one of normal standards.
He didn't see Tyler do anything stupid, and it looked as though the girls liked his company.
This was not looking good.
"Shit." Evan looked down at his untouched glass, deciding to get a head start on the bet.
He downed it, grimacing at the harsh taste and looking over to Tyler, who was smiling at him mockingly.
Evan flipped him off, turning back to the table and staring down at his empty shot glass. He should've known better than to challenge Tyler.
He could hear Tyler commenting on his bet with him to the girls, and hearing the two females laughing made him want to sink into his chair.
"That's him over there. Looks like he's not driving, tonight!"
Evan heard Tyler's laugh through the music and the other people, and he could feel his gut twisting.
He sighed, deflating a bit. This was going to be a long night, and he was sure he would regret it tomorrow.
Now how were they supposed to get to Lui's? Who was gonna take them? What would he say? What if Lui had more alcohol?
Evan cursed under his breath, playing with the napkin in front of him, letting it slide under his fingers on the table.
It became wet with alcohol, and Evan watched it tear under his fingers, completely unaware of the outside world for a moment.
"Having fun?"
Evan jolted up in his seat at the voice, his hand stilling on the table in front of him.
But, as he realized it was just Tyler, Evan calmed a bit, feeling the other man's body warmth next to his shoulder.
Tyler was leaning down behind him, his face a few inches away from Evan's. The black haired man turned to face him, the annoyed expression plastered on his face.
"Not really."
Tyler smiled innocently at him, looking down at the napkin for a moment.
He looked to Evan again, removing himself from Evan's side and deciding to stand next to him, so he was looking down at him.
"Hold on." He said, disappearing for a moment and leaving Evan to stare down at the napkin, again.
And then he returned with two shots in each hand, placing two in front of Evan.
He sat down across from Evan, motioning towards the drinks and widening his smile.
"Those can help."
Evan groaned, downing the shots and coughing a bit afterwards.
Tyler laughed at him, downing both of his without even wincing.
He brought four more shots over to the table, smirking at Evan as Evan held the glass to his lips, taking a deep breath.
Tyler watched him intently, taking note of how he squeezed his eyes shut when he drank the liquid.
He smiled as Evan licked his lips and swallowed harshly after drinking the shot of vodka.
Tyler tilted his head back and poured the vodka into his mouth, letting the liquid slide down his throat. It burned a little, but he would never admit that to Evan.
He watched Evan place his head in his hands, and he thought it was cute the way he whined.
"Evan."
Tyler bit his lip, eying the man before him. Evan looked up, narrowing his eyes at him.
"What do you want, Tyler?"
Tyler chuckled, leaning across the table and staring into his eyes. He moved the drinks out of the way, his hands ghosting over Evan's shoulder.
Evan swallowed the lump in his throat, his eyes widening a bit. He felt Tyler's hand rest on his shoulder, and he eyed him, confused.
What was happening?
"Ty-"
Tyler's lips were on his own, soft and urging Evan to return the touch. Evan felt his eyes widen further, his body freezing up at the sudden contact.
Tyler pulled back, just enough to look into his eyes, and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Fuck....that could've gone smoother."
Evan nodded, blinking, unsure of whether or not this was a dream. But then he felt himself leaning toward Tyler, his own hands going to the sides of his face, pressing warmly.
"Tyler?"
"Yeah?"
Evan leaned forward a bit more, so his lips were almost touching Tyler's. He smiled a bit, letting Tyler place his hands back on his shoulders before responding.
"Kiss me."
