Lui's pov

Me and Nogla crept through the streets hoping that we wouldn't alert the herds of zombies.

So far in our search for food we had gotten three jugs of water and a few cans of beans.

A loud groan made us freeze. A few feet away from us stood a zombie. It was horrible with rotting flesh that I could smell from where I stood. Nogla hadn't seen or heard the zombie and continued to walk. "Nogla!" I whisper-shouted. "What?" He responded at normal volume.

The zombie heard and moaned. Moving with incredible speed the zombie tackled Nogla to the ground. I pulled out my knife and rushed over.

I stabbed the zombie where his heart would be and he fell limp on top of David. Grabbing Nogla's hand and pulling him into a near by alleyway I began to check for injuries.

I sucked in air when I saw a large bite mark on his shoulder. "Lui," Nogla said noticing the bite to. "You need to go. Leave me." I shook my head. "I can't. How could I leave you." I said with my eyes tearing up. "Lui I'm changing. It's not safe." He said taking my shoulders.

"No your fine. Now come on we have to go." I said, my eyes tearing up. The zombie in the middle of the road isn't dead I just temporarily knocked him out. "Lui. Before I go I want to tell you something." "You can save it for later. Your gonna be ok." I said as the tears slid down my face.

Nogla wiped the tears away with his thumb. "Lui...I love you." He said placing his forehead against mine. "I love you to and that's why your gonna be ok. This always happens in the movies. You'll be fine." I said stubbornly.

"Lui this isn't a movie. If you love me then go." "I-i-i can't David!" I cried. "Then if you won't leave then kill me. Don't let me become a zombie and hurt you." He said handing my his gun.

I could barely hold it, my hands where shaking wildly. "I love ya." He said and gave me a soft kiss. He pulled away and smiled weakly at me. Then...he fell to the ground.

I watched in horror as his body started convulsing. It was jerking around and his eyes where open revealing milky white eyes. He would occasionally groan in pain and blood pored out of his open mouth. I shakily lifted the gun and aimed it at him.

I just need to pull the trigger. A sob escaped my mouth and I dropped the gun. 'Fuck it,' I thought 'I'm not gonna kill him.' I fell on my knees next to Nogla. I reached out and touched his face and his body went still. His eyes closed and the groans of pain stopped.

His eyes opened and I began to shake in fear. His lifeless eyes focused on me and he lunged. I closed my eyes waiting for the pain I knew was inevitable.

Instead however I was pulled into a warm and comforting hug. I opened my eyes and saw Nogla hugging me. "D-David!" I exclaimed. "Lui." He whispered. "But aren't you a zombie?" I asked as tears of relief flowed down my cheeks.

"I should be. I'm not hungry for brains though." He said putting his hands on my cheeks. "David I-" I started but was yanked backwards. I let out a scream as the zombie from the road and I began to wrestle.

There was a feral growl and David attacked the zombie. I watched with slight disgust and fascination as David tore the zombie apart. Finally when the zombie was nothing but scraps David got up and faced me.

He was covered in blood. "Lui are you alright?" He asked walking over to me, not noticing that he was drenched in blood. "I'm fine Nogla, but what happened?" I asked. "I dono. I saw the zombie and just got incredibly hungry." Nogla said putting his hand on my cheek.

"You eat zombies not brains." I said quietly. "I love you." Nogla said. "I love you to." I said. He leaned down and kissed me. "I'll protect you."

Sorry I haven't written anything in forever. I'm trying to get my schedule adjusted so I can write and balance school. I'm working on a request and I'm hoping to have it up at some point today. Let me know if any of you guys have a request.
