Raven POV

"Friend Raven are you listening"

"What? Oh sorry Kori, I must have zoned out, what were you saying" I said.

"I was telling you the gossip, you have not been at school in 2 weeks" Kori said.

"Oh, well you don't have to tell me everything, maybe just the biggest things that happened" I said.

"Well the friend Garfield has finally confirmed single after his break up with Terra and after all 3 of the rebound girls he was with, Terra was suspended after she was caught the bullying someone, and the principal Wayne said there would be a dance at the end of this week so we can celebrate the end of this year" Kori said.

"How did Terra get suspended if the year is already almost over" I asked.

"I do not know, but we will not be seeing any of her for the rest of this week" she said.

"So...Gar is actually single" I said a light blush on my cheeks.

"Yes, and I advise you to take the chance, we are all going to the different colleges and there is not better time than now to do the confessing" she said.

"I've told you this already, I don't like him that way, it was...just a little crush" I said.

"But you admit at one point that you did the liking of friend Garfield, surely the feeling has not distinguished" she said.

"I don't know, since it's our last year of high school and we probably won't see each other for a long time, I guess I feel a little different knowing he's not gonna be my locker neighbor anymore" I said.

"Raven, I am your best friend, I know you better than anyone, I know you have the feelings for friend Garfield" Kori said.

"Let's go, I'm finished my lunch anyway" I said grabbing my tray and getting up.

I put away my tray and made my way out of the cafeteria where I encountered Garfield coming towards me.

"Hey Raven, can I ask you something" I heard his voice ask.

I turn toward him and saw his blonde locks with green at the ends hanging slightly down in his face making his own green eyes look all the most brighter. "OK ask away" I said feeling the heat raise to my cheeks.

"I wanted to ask you to the dance, Kori told you about it right" he said slinging his arm around me.

"Yeah I know about it" I said.

"So do you accept" he said with pleading eyes.

I thought for a moment before putting my own arm around him, "I would have it any other way" I said smiling.

"Yes" he said quickly before hugging me really tight and giving me a short peck on the lips than running away into the halls leaving me speachless in the doorway of the cafeteria.

I brought my hand up to my lips where his once were.

"Wow" I said quietly looking into the hallway where Garfield had just ran off to.

My heart slowly began picking up speed as my face started raising temperature. How did I get in this situation again.

"Raven" I heard Kori call out as she approached me. "I just saw what had happened, are you beginning to consider your feelings for friend Garfield now" she said.

"Maybe but I think they might have grown in the past 5 minutes" I said.

"I knew it, you are in the love with Garfield" Kori said happily.

"I'm not...maybe...I don't know, this is new to me" I said

"Just go to the dance with him and this 'new feeling' will become more clear to you, I promise it" she said putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Fine" I said blushing slightly at the image of me and Gar dancing in the dimly lit gym.

"...may I be a brides maid at the wedding"
