NEW BBBM2 THEORY! KECHIK'S BACKSTORY...?
Oooookkkaaayyyy...
So apparently, someone sent me this...
(I'm sorry, I don't know if you have a Wattpad account...But then again, thank you...)
Now, I know what I mentioned in my previous theories, all about the to be expected plots and stuff...But when this came in...
All of a sudden, this didn't really destroy my theory, and instead...
...made in click in a way I never realized!
Now, I'm really thinking this could be some sort of side plot or something, still it just might be possible!
Proof 1: It's no doubt BoBoiBoy hasn't unlocked his true potential yet, mainly because, common sense, BoBoiBoy has a lot of room to grow. And...
Proof 2: We know that Retak'ka is ancient, so giving him a mysterious hero that defeated him 100 years ago makes a lot of sense...
There's just one tiny problem...
In the second part of the theory, I said that Kaizo may have gone face-to-face with Retak'ka in the past and failed to actually drop him dead.
If this theory of mine is true, then what is this synopsis saying that someone had already defeated him even before his encounter with Kaizo?
This is where I begin to connect old dots and start plotting a new dot:
Did this mystery hero even actually defeat him?
But before we get to go to that question, we need to know who this possible mystery hero is.
I don't even require any further drumroll here because Imma just drop the bomb!
K E C H I K .
Let's just think about it for one peaceful second, this theory can 100% connect with our synopsis! Because, first off, he is a very important character and, besides, y'all may remember the last sentence I said in the previous part of the theory:
COULD KECHIK BE THE MOST POWERFUL BEING IN THE UNIVERSE...?!
Going with a bunch of other normal shows regarding senseis and masters, we all know senseis and masters undoubtedly have REEAAAL interesting and crazy backgrounds, either they've trained the best superheroes known to date, or they're a legend for defeating a sinister villain from the past...which in this case, Kechik could be the latter.
(Could...I said, "could.")
(I didn't say he could be both...
Or could he?)
Anyways, I don't have to mention it twice, but believe me, we might be on the same page here. I mean, if he isn't a legendary hero, why in the world would he know who Retak'ka is in the first place if he's in this remote, slice of heaven-of-a-planet? Why would BoBoiBoy be there, seeking his guidance? Why would he be labeled as an important and mysterious character by Monsta themselves?
Think about it...
Okay, so now, we are assuming that Kechik could be the almighty, legendary hero of the highest order...Now we go back to the original question at hand: Did Kechik really defeat Retak'ka?
My theory leads to one word: No.
If we take into consideration the old phrase, only a diamond can cut a diamond...
I think we already know what I'm getting at here...
However, I did say that Kechik could be the most powerful being in the universe. So what gives?
Here's the catch. All warriors are legends at youth, but once they're old,
They're. Old.
(C'mon, people...Try to listen to Kechik's voice for once and don't tell me he isn't old!)
Besides, he did presumably defeat Retak'ka 100 years ago...100 YEARS AGO!!!
Quite possibly, the story could've been that Kechik did indeed fight Retak'ka and won the battle, but he didn't win the war, if you know what I'm saying. Theoretically, the case may have been that Kechik was too old to ever even finish Retak'ka off in the first place!
All he could ever do was just take him out long enough before the next time he attacks once again.
Now that I think about it, this sounds a lot like Thor: The Dark World...Bor didn't really manage to defeat Malekith 100%. It only lasted for, like, 2 generations before he came back.
However, if that really was his tactic to begin with, he must've already foreseen that he would be too old to take him on next time!
This is why Kechik might've resorted to this one. Last. Trick. In the book.
(At this point, I had a lot of fun theorizing until the very end...Just watch.)
I aforementioned that Kechik might be legendary for defeating legends and teaching legends.
Now...*evil laughs*
What if Kechik used to have students that are legends now...?
What if...
...two of his students...were Maskmana and Tarung...?
(YOU: ...
YOU: *proceeds to the exit*
ME: *blocks the door*
ME: I swear to God, I have a really good explanation~!)
In the first parts of this book, I theorized that Retak'ka might've been the very superior reason to why TAPOPS existed. But what if I told you, Retak'ka didn't make a founding movement just for TAPOPS?
Imagine if the story went like this:
"100 years ago, a mysterious hero going by the name of Kechik went head-to-head against the most fearsome villain of the time, Retak'ka. Upon the end of the ferocious battle, Kechik had finally taken the sinister enemy down. However, not for long...
"With his age and capability to fight racing against time, Kechik had passed on the duty of saving the universe in the future to his two most trusted students, Maskmana and Tarung; each becoming a founding father of an organization devoted to protecting the universe. Tarung, founding TAPOPS, and Maskmana, founding TEMPUR-A. And when the time comes, shall Retak'ka rise once again from the pits of hell, these two organizations will form allegiances, and together, they will finish what their master has started."
(God, that entire thing sounded so majestic, I cannot~)
In short, Kechik has entrusted Maskmana and Tarung to build organizations to battle Retak'ka once the need arises.
And returning to the synopsis sent to me by a friend, it could be that in the midst of the conflict, both TEMPUR-A and TAPOPS made the most unthinkable last resort: To have BoBoiBoy set off into looking for him all these years, to ask him the tricks to achieve victory and to ask him how to unmask his true potential.
Here's the thing, what truly lies behind Kaizo's theorized encounter with Retak'ka?
Say that the encounter happened 4 or 5 years prior to the present setting of BBBM2. (Side note, I have a theory that BBBM2 takes place 1 year or two after the BBBG Finale for a butt-load of reasons, but, we'll get there someday...)
Clarifying the entire thing, the Kaizo Vs. Retak'ka battle might've happened during the times of the very first season of the franchise!
I can't be exactly sure if by the time Kaizo would've been with TEMPUR-A or TAPOPS...because we can see in that one comic, Kaizo was sent off to TEMPUR-A (not TAPOPS) after his encounter with Bora Ra...
(Dudes, that station looks EXACTLY LIKE A TEACUP, I CANNOT EVEN~)
So, say that, by the time of the Retak'ka encounter, Kaizo would be exactly 20 years old and Fang would be 10.
Clearing all yo minds, this theory will eventually go insane but, trust me on this one.
Okay...So Kaizo beats the damn out of Retak'ka and fails. (We all probably know that part.) What does he do after that?
Well, why did Fang go to Earth in the first place...?
*inhales*
Okay...here we go, folks...
Going back to the episodes from the original series, Kaizo mentions in his debut that Fang's real purpose of arriving upon Earth was to look for the powerbands. At that point, it gets obvious that Kaizo could've been a captain at TAPOPS at the time.
But here's where we dig deeper.
No doubt, one of the powerbands was BoBoiBoy's, wielding Elemental Powers...
WHAT IF KAIZO'S EXCUSE OF TAKING THE POWERBANDS IN ORDER TO SEE THE GANG'S WORTHINESS WAS ALL A HALF-TRUTH?
WHAT IF HIS TRUE INTENTION WAS TO HAVE BOBOIBOY JOIN HIM, FOR HIMMM TO DEFEAT RETAK'KA???
This could lead us to the conclusion that Kaizo sent Fang to Earth...
...to find BoBoiBoy...
This isn't all...
More coming...very soon...!
