Day Five
Subtlety does little for me,
Unladylike as that may be.
Some are taken in by a touch of the arm,
A seductive glance.
In this dance,
Only the imagined faces of spurned men and women
Cause my legs to uncross.
So, talk to me,
Let me feel you out,
Discover you with my eyes so heavily lidded
You can't see I don't say the word no
Because I really mean yes as soon as your needful visage
Falls in disappointment.
I'll deny you what you want, but lean in with wanting lips
As soon as you show your bold smile, now dejected.
My body moves in rhythms unspoken;
I'm trying to tell who is being rejected.
