It was the next day after the robbery at Gothcorp, The mystery assailant was known as Mr Freeze, who might have some kind of hatred to Gothcorp. Though Anne hasn't figured out who he is and why he's doing this.

Today, Anne was going to meet GothCorp's CEO, Ferris Boyle, as Winters was seen entering the building and looked around. She began coughing and was still sick from yesterday as She continued walking.

Soon, Ferris's assistant and Anne made it to the owner's office as Anne walked inside and saw Ferris.

Ferris: Anne Winters! It's so good to see you.

Anne: Hey Ferris, It's a pleasure meeting you again.

They both shook hands as Ferris told Anne to sit down as Winters began coughing and sat down as Ferris was looking at her.

Ferris: So how are you doing, Miss Winters?

Anne: I'm doing alright, actually.

Ferris: Are you sure? Your face looks a bit pale.

Winters coughed again as Ferris was looking at her and knew she was sick.

Anne: Yeah, I just catched a cold, actually.

Ferris: In the month of September? Winter hasn't even started.

Anne chuckled as Ferris laughed a little before he spoke to her.

Ferris: You should take some rest, We could meet again when you feel better.

Anne: No, no, I'm fine. I took my tablet this morning, so I should get better soon. Thank you for your concern, though.

Ferris nodded as They both continued talking to each other until Anne asked him a question.

Anne: So, I'm been hearing a lot about some kind of trouble in GothCorp.

Ferris: There's only one man who'd hate Gothcorp so much. . . . If he was alive.

Anne: Who?

Ferris: One of our scientists. An obsessed man, He was caught using company equipment for personal reasons. I had to send my security men in! There was a fight, an explosion. . . And we lost him.

Anne: What was he even doing?

Ferris: Wasting company money! I never liked money getting wasted

Anne: But we never know what he was going through, Have you found out about those personal reasons?

Ferris: Oh, believe me, Miss Winters. He was acting like he owned the place! There is no reason to feel bad for him.

Anne found him a little suspicious, He didn't seem to answer the question he was asking, Winters was gonna tell him something until his assistant walked in.

Ferris's Assistant: The humanitarian committee is here, Sir.

Ferris: I'm coming right now, Thank you.

Anne began coughing as her headache was starting to get worse as she sighed and was holding her head.

Anne: It's okay, Ferris. You should go to your meeting. I feel ill right now.

Ferris: No problem, Anne, Take care of yourself.

They both got up and shook hands before leaving as Anne left the building and was thinking about what Ferris said to her.

Later on, the time was eight p.m. as Anne was seen in the batcave as She was wearing her batsuit while talking to Bucky.

Bucky: Boyle sounds like he's hiding something from the whole world.

Anne: He never really explained who the scientists were and what his reason was, He does know something, but he's not telling anyone.

She sneezed and was holding her head as Bucky was looking at her.

Bucky: Are you sure you can go alone?

Anne: I don't want to attract more attention, I can go alone.

Bucky: No, I mean, you're still sick.

Anne: It's okay, Bucky, I'll be fine.

Bucky: Just call me if you need anything, okay?

Anne: Thanks, I will. . . Make sure to prepare chicken soup for me.

She gave a small smile to him as Bucky just looked at her and had a small smile on his face as Winters put her mask on and was going to make her way back to GothCorp.

Twenty-four minutes passed as Anne sneaked inside the security room, She opened the drawers and was looking through case files until she picked up one of the files that was labelled. "Top Secret."

She opened the file and saw different pictures of a woman.

Anne saw more pictures of the beautiful blonde woman, including a wedding picture with a nice-looking man, as she continued looking until she saw another file.

MEDICAL REPORT

Miss Nora Fries

DIAGNOSIS: Positive

The blonde woman was known to be Nora Fries, Anne was looking at the medical report before she put the file back in the drawer and looked at the computer

She was looking through the computer until she saw a secret file and clicked on it.

There was a video as Winters clicked on it as the video began playing.

The video showed a scientist looking at the camera before he stepped back and spoke to the camera.

Victor Fries: My name is Doctor Victor Fries. I am recording what I pray would be mankind's first step towards immortality.

Behind me, you see the CC-100. A cryogenic freezing chamber of my own design. I created it for the express purpose of freezing subjects stricken with unoperable ailments. Subjects like. . . my own beloved wife, Nora. Once a remedy has been found-

Victor heard loud banging on the door as Fries was worried until he heard someone's voice.

Ferris: Open this door! Open it now!

Victor was scared until Ferris's security guards managed to open the door as Ferris walked inside and was really angry.

Ferris: Get away from that equipment! Shut this stuff down!

Victor: Stop! This is my experiment!

Ferris: Your unauthorized experiment! I ordered funding suspended weeks ago! I'm already three million in debt thanks to you!

Victor: Please, Mister Boyle, you can't stop this! My wife is in there!

Ferris: I don't care! Open it and bring her out!

Victor: No!!! it's her only chance to live, I can't let her out!

Ferris: This is my equipment! Mine! I have every legal right to use it or not use it as I see fit! I say this project ends now!

The guards tried to open the chamber until Victor grabbed one of the guard's gun and aimed it at Ferris as Boyke stepped back.

Fries: No! Stay away from her! Murderer!

Ferris and the guards were staring at him as Boyle began to calm down and tried to reassure Victor.

Boyle: Victor. . . I'm sorry. . . I lost my temper.

Victor was staring at him as Ferris continued speaking to him.

Ferris: It doesn't have to come to this! Look, just put the gun down, and let's talk about this.

Victor was silent before he nodded and put the gun away, until Ferris had a smirk on his face and. . .

Ferris kicked him to the chemicals as Victor began screaming as Boyle told his guards to run as the trio ran out of the lab while Victor was screaming.

Vapor was filled in the lab as Victor began crawling on the cryogenic statis chamber while dragging his hand over iy.

Victor: Nora!. . . . Nora. . . .

The video ended as Anne was shocked by what happened and felt really sad for Victor, All he wanted to do was to help his terminally ill wife while he will try to search for a cure for her, But Ferris was greedy and tried to stop the experiment and almost killed Fries.

Anne: Oh my god. . . .

Anne felt sad until she heard something as she turned around and saw Mr Freeze as She was shocked

Mr Freeze: Yes. . . . It would move me to tears if I still had tears to shed.

Anne was shocked until Freeze shot her, and everything went black.
